"My mommy says you have to have something borrowed and something blue, so
you can borrow this for good luck," she handed the stone to Julia, keeping a
careful eye on it to make sure it didn't change color and it didn't.
Julia looked at it and smiled at Kat before hugging her "Thank you. I'll
take good care of it and have it back to you before waffles in the morning."
She winked and waved her off "Better go get that to Nick." then she
whispered conspiritingly "Then you can tell me what he looks like-but
remember, he's not supposed to know what I look like."
She watched Kat leave and ran her fingers over the smooth stone before
settling it in her palm.
If she knew Philip-and she did-he would be swinging this way while Kat was
with Nick, probably showing off the twirl factor of her dress and offering
to help with him too.
