Kat agreed happily to take a flower to Nick. After Julia was dress, she
grinned at her. "You look real pretty. "Oh!" Shr ran over to her other
clothing extracting something from the pocket of her overalls. As hoped
this would work okay as she hurried back. During the course of dinner, Kat
had asked Derek to return her stone, and luckily he had it on him at the
time. It shown the brillant blue again, no sign of the emeral at all, so
Kat thought it would work as long as it didn't change while Julia had it.
"My mommy says you have to have something borrowed and something blue, so
you can borrow this for good luck," she handed the stone to Julia, keeping a
careful eye on it to make sure it didn't change color and it didn't.
