Could not agree with you more. The value of lost images could be huge so a little cash spent up front of solid state cards is well worth the investment. One lost job could pay for all the cards you are likely to need!! Moving over to digital 2 years ago, we used nothing but 1Gb Microdrives for the first 18 months. We never had any problem at all but were hearing of others who had lost weddings etc when using them. Not wishing to push our luck, we now use only 512Mb flash card. If you are in the UK, The Flash Centre in London (0207-837-5649) sell RITA ones (which they swear by) for just under �100 each. Worth it for the peace of mind alone AND they are 52 speed which means both read and write are a great deal faster than Microdrives.
