My post re the Mac problem posings was prompted by the rather large number of mac related
problems appearing on the list.
This list is dedicated to digital imaging.
So were it dedicated to analogue photography, would you object to an alert about faulty Fuji film because you still shot Kodak?
The computer hardware is inseparable from the process (equally demonstrated by recent postings about PS CS speed and memory problems in Windows XP) and we really shouldn't ban this subject.
Whilst there are other lists that are dedicated to hardware and OS problems, they're just too broad and time consuming, covering issues we're never going to need to confront. The only computer issues that arise on prodig are ones relating to hardware and software that most of use, a pretty small proportion of what's out there.
However, Simon's subject tag idea does seem a good one, seeing how spam means we'll all be up to speed with e-mail filters these days! I'll certainly vote for inclusion of the first two.
