The Mondeo has the larger MTX75 gearbox with larger driveshafts, joints etc.
But, yes, the engine should still bolt to your existing gearbox and solve all those problems.

But wouldn't that leave the car undergeared?
The diesel doesn't rev anywhere near as high as a petrol engine.

Do I compensate for this by swapping the crownwheel/pinion/final drive too? Does the LSD in the ERST box cause problems doing this?
