Dear Patrick, I paid about $300 for my Behmor in early 2013. I did the math on it when I bought it, and figured that if I used it once a week -- sometimes twice -- it would pay for itself in about 10 months. Cost of green beans vs. roasted store-boughts.
The only down side to the Behmor is that I use it in the garage to keep the smoke away (we don't have a vent in our kitchen). When the temps dip below freezing, the thermostat/sensor/whatever it's called on the Behmor won't let the roaster turn on. For a couple of months in the winter, I buy roasted beans, and let the roaster have a break.
