I can tell you for a fact that you cannot buy a shell of any type from
Athearn.  Athearn does not sell to dealers or customers.  They are owned by
Horizon Hobbies and one would have to go through them.

Does anyone know if it is even possible to buy a "loose shell" from Athearn
and what the price is?  I am not sure there is a price differential until
somebody presents some facts regarding the matter.  As the famous TV
detective once said, "Just the facts, Ma'am."  Opinions are great, but facts
