Re: Advice on upgrading RAM in a Lenovo T540P

Two slots on the computer, 1 free by default."204 PIN "Sodim", "ddr3L 1600MHZ", "PC3-12800", "unbuffered", "non ECC", "maximum voltage of 1.5V", 9 CL clock laitency or less".No larger than 8GB per stick, and no more than 16GB total loaded memory.Getting  that type of SDRAM will give you the best experience.Remember that one memory slot is under the keyboard plate, which you'll have to unscrew if you use, filled by default, and one is near the HDD and fan enclosure, empty by default, and is easy to get to.My suggestion is to buy another 4GB stick, and put it in the easy to get in slot, since you will barely ever, if ever, need more than 6 to 8GB maximum, even with heavy memory loads like advanced graphics, audio, and video editing programs, virtual machines, or multiple windows with multiple medium to heavy processes, and not more than 4GB
with regular ones.Good brands are Corsair, Kingston, Crucial, G-Skill, and Patriot.Good places to buy are Newegg, Amazon, Frys, Tigerdirect, and Superbiiz.

Skullgirls / 2D fighting games advice for a complete beginner

2017-12-02 Thread AudioGames . net Forum — General Game Discussion : robin24 via Audiogames-reflector

Skullgirls / 2D fighting games advice for a complete beginner

Hey guys!Well, today I finally managed to do something that I've been wanting to do for the longest time: I installed Windows 10 on my Mac using Boot Camp, then downloaded the Steam client and created an account. It was a bit tricky, especially since I don't really use Windows a lot, but using the many awesome tips and tricks on here I was able to get it all set up eventually. So then, I began looking into which mainstream game I should start with and soon came across Skullgirls, which I then purchased and downloaded. And really, I guess that was probably the best choice I could have made, as it really is totally amazing what the developer has done in order to get this to work with screen readers! Also, I picked up and dusted off my Logitech Cordless Rumble Pad 2, which I think I received as a Christmas present a very long time ago, but which I have never actually used for anything really. That setup was very painless and I was excited to see that Skullgirls recognized the controller in no time. Not sure how most of you guys play this and similar games, but I'm pretty sure that using a controller is much more efficient than using the keyboard, but please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. So here I am, just managed to complete some of the tutorials, though I'm still not sure how to do any of the advanced moves / combos. But then, I've never really played any such games previously, so I guess that's normal...I'll probably just have to figure this out step-by-step, but was wondering if there might be anybody on here who may be willing to help me out? Some tips would definitely be greatly appreciated, or if anybody would be interested on doing a Skype session and doing some online fights, that would be totally awesome.I could probably just create a lobby and try fighting whoever decides to join, but since I'll probably end up failing horribly, I think I'd rather wait until my skills are a little more developed, haha! Also, 2 quick questions:1. Right now, I'm not feeling any force feedback in my gamepad when fighting, even when I'm being hit. Is this the intended / recommended behavior, or is it something that I can / should enable somehow?2. For those of you who are more experienced playing this game, is it actually possible to successfully battle sighted players online, or would they have too much of an advantage as they'd be able to see the screen? Not sure if this question makes any sense in the context of this game, but I remember playing Audio Quake years ago, where you could also connect to mainstream Quake servers, but killing sighted players was pretty much impossible for the most part.Well, that's it from me right now! Thanks for reading my rather lengthy post, looking forward to hearing from y'all! :-)Robin

Re: I'm a little on edge, looking for advice

It was truly Friday the 13th as the British clown they called Boris Johnson is now the Prime Minister,  hold onto your hats it’s going to be a rollercoaster of five years for the UK as a whole. About your Xbox X question,  The new Xbox X is a lot quieter than the original with its liquid cooling . And about the ring doorbell,  they are very handy and convenient for those households that don’t have a  intercom to see who is at your property..  this is what I mainly use it for which is a intercom that you can answer no matter where you are in the world as long as you have a Internet connection. You can set up multiple people to be alerted when somebody is at your property or there is motion at your front door. So once somebody rings the doorbell I will be alerted on my phone with a notification,  and then I will open the application where I will be confronted with a video with two buttons on either side one  which is to activate the outside microphone so I can listen to it through my device of choice, and the second one is to enable the microphone on my device to speak to the person outside the property. The only thing you will have to check is if you still receive full Wi-Fi range when you are standing outside your front door.  As the device runs off your internal Wi-Fi at all times. I hope that helped in some way catch you on Xbox soon buddy.

Re: I'm a little on edge, looking for advice

Hi.At Darder urmmm, one second sir, I would step in their and put something on the table. The thing is if Britain leaves the EU and there is no brexit plan or any kind of agreement with the EU about trade and the like, you will certainly feel this as a person doesn't owning a business. Prices will rise at leased for some products, and some items might just not be available or very limited, just as it is now in Germany and different kinds of medication. At Arron, I personally don't really like the ring devices. Firstly, they are from amazon and while I use this as a shopping platform, I wouldn't integrate an amazon device into my smart home.Secondly, at leased to my nolledge they always require a cloud, so that's something as well I am worried about. If I have a smart home system in my future flat I won't have any cloud saving in there, if data gets saved, it's either on a local SD Card or a USB stick or a local NAS Server.Greetings Moritz.

Re: I'm a little on edge, looking for advice

I'll take the first pointI'd rather have Boris than Corbin. In that, I'd rather have a party that traditionally gives the UK stability, and has a huge majorrity to actually get things done, over somebody who is wants to renationalize everything, is a proud Marxist (do you remember Labour singing the Red Flag song in Parliament Aaron?) and who was jumping on the trade papers, even though that's now been shown to have had foreign interference. Is Boris perfect? No. Not at all. But he's at least somebody who will not push voters away by being so far off the middle ground. Was I happy with the election? No. Mostly since my area was held by Labour. When my MP has not once, in however many years since she got into the seat, been here once. Am I happy the Lib Dems wanted to go against a referendum result? Nah. Say what you want about the Brexit campaigning. Both sides lied, misled, call it what you want, but what's done is done, we had our vote, and we voted, now give the people what they want. What I don't like is the insinuation that if I voted to leave, I /must/ be a racist BNP supporter (yes, I've seen those exact words online or variations of). No. I voted leave because I see a lot of parallels between the EU and USSR/Yugoslavia, the EU modl is not tenable long term. I am not a racist for wanting my nation to stop paying into a union where we're governed by people who have little idea what's going on in one nation and sit on the Continent. Also, Sturgeon has me on edge. She's going around screaming for indieref #2. UhScotland had a referendum. They voted to stay in the UK. That's like Richard and Sander putting up a poll to move the site to another host, then we vote no, keep the site here, then Liam starts banging on about oh but we need another referendum because look who is on the staff team

Re: I'm a little on edge, looking for advice

Hmm, if I was English, I would be definitely worried about Brexit. It seems that when things become too common, people tend to hazard with them just to eventually reinvent, how important they were. And in this special case even forget, that it wasn't their productivity what made UK the place as we know it today, just recall, what was the biggest income of the British empire. So I'm lucky that at least our government chooses to stay. Also, as a citizen of country, which was not directly under, but strongly influenced by Ussr, I can say, that they have absolutely nothing in common.EU is a voluntary organization originally of six states, Germany, France, Italy and Benelux, which's intent was firstly to share resources, later also other things like intelligence, laws, markets etc. And UK was among first, who wanted to connect to gain all of those.Ussr was nothing but a Russian plan to take over eastern Europe. They have never really helped with anything, only thing they were able to do was to unite an army from Germany, Poland and Ussr to attack Czechoslovakia in 68 to assure we were under control. So at least from my perspective, voluntary trade organization and a military colos are two completely different things.Best regardsRastislav

Regarding the hacking of ring devices, I believe this happened due to people reusing usernames/passwords more than anything else. They weren't using 2FA either. Never reuse passwords, and if you have the ability to use 2FA that'll provide an extra layer of security in most cases. I say most cases, because I've heard of people stealing phone numbers and intercepting SMS-based verification. This may help as well.https://blog.ring.com/2019/12/12/rings- … d-to-know/

Thanks everyone so far.@Draq this is the first I've heard of ring devices being hacked. I think that was back in 2016 anyway, and a fermware patch was put out pretty quick from what I read. INterestingly, no one used the doorbell at all toda, so I haven't actually had a chance to see it in action yet.@Moonwalker I'm not too sure what you mean by your post. I don't have a problem with the community. If I did, I would have left by now. I think part of the issue with the topic and me not doing anything, was the timing. I think all the electian stuff put me on edge, then next thing you know, I saw that topic and wasn't entirely sure how to respond to the stuff going on in there.@Nocturnus Thank you very much. I didn't want to go in there guns blazing. I look forward to the rest of your points.

Re: I'm a little on edge, looking for advice

I mean, you do you, but thinking that brexit won't fuck you over is very short sighted and the entire reason the UK is in the mess it's in to begin with. The EU might be rather shitty, fully agree there, but you know what's even shittier? Having to have emergency stockpiles of food because you can't buy them from anyone once January roles around and Bojoh drops you guys out with no plan. The EU is not the most democratic organisation, and honestly as a leftist I fully understand how you can see it as the imbodyment of everything evil about capitalism, but just dropping out without a plan is not how you deal with any of that, and it was pretty clear even back in 2016 when the actual referendum happened that any deal you guys were going to get was going to be awful anyways. Much more effective to stay in and have at least some say in the regulations that affect your biggest trading partners (before you say the US will step in to fill that role might I suggest you get yourself a map and realize how much further away the US is).I think the UK election is another huge reminder though that calling the other side dumb racists is not how you win elections and only serves to mobalise the opposition. The day of the election my facebook feed was full of my UK friends making pro Labor memes and acting like they'd already won and thank god now we can finally fix the mess those idiot leave voters left us, then were shocked when they woke up with a Con majority. This you are wrong and racist and I won't dirty my hands by interacting with you instead I'll just make sure you can't express your opinions anywhere I can see it and pretend that means they went away attitude is how the world got Trump, how the UK got Brexit and now Bojoh, and it needs to stop. Some day we on the left will need to learn, and I just hope that day comes before it's too late.

Re: I'm a little on edge, looking for advice

Here's how I see it. I'll try and keep this on topic, and not rant about my personal political views. I believe in Brexit, that it's a positive movement for Britain, more control in our laws, our own trade agreements, ending the uncontrollable free movement levels, ETC, you've heard it all before. That's over anyway, the leave side won with the election on Thursday. The issues transcend Brexit now though. The voters dislike being patronised, being ignored, being mocked. That's why we won. There's so much noise out there now, it's difficult to tell what's real and what's not. All you can try and do is to formulate your own opinions from facts. The nightmare scenarios, whereby Britain runs low on all supplies, whereby the NHS is sold off, are stories that have been spun way out of proportion. They will not happen. Brexit will bring change, much positive, some turbulence yes, but I genuinely believe that our country is heading in the right direction. I know I won't convince many people on the internet, and that's fine, but the only argument that's needed is democracy. It's difficult for me to say, seeing as I only got involved in politics in the past 3/4 years, but confidence in democracy was at an all-time low, and the amount of scare-tactics, the amount of abuse and hate, from both sides I must say, was unprecedented. Logic doesn't seem to matter anymore, even facts are twisted. In an era where someone can tweet on social media that the Tories are going to sell off the NHS, with no proof but an outdated document that's not even from the current government,, in an era when that message will spread and mutate into anger and personal attacks just because a person has different views, is problematic to say the least. People, on all sides, have been worried by stories that have turned out to be untrue. People said the pound would crash, the economy would crumble if we choose Brexit, in fact it has thrived and risen. Equally, the extreme right said we needed a clean brake, which would have left us with little room to manoeuvre in terms of foreign relations, we really need a balance. This is the nature of elections, things are taken to extremes, stories are spun, ETC. I'll admit, a Corbyn government would've worried me, just as a tory government will worry others. We have to accept democracy, and remember that everything is presented for a specific agender. The Tories are presented as heartless bastards (feel free to call me one if you wish it wouldn't be the first time) whilst the Labour party have been called racist lunatic socialists who would spend the country into bankruptcy. Both are probably too extreme. We could really do with some calm in the UK.

Definitely quieter than the one.Ring doorbell: I haven't set up the app yet, but that'll be my next step. Re: I'm a little on edge, looking for advice

@12, the ring hacks weren't just because people reused passwords. It was also because Ring is the furthest company who would care about your privacy. It also was because Ring devces come with default usernames and passwords. Most people don't change them (either because Ring doesn't ask them too or because they just don't want too) and Hackers use that information to their advantage. This is another case where IoT devices are terribly manufacturered because most companies (Amazon much) could care less about securing the physcal devices and the software running on them.

Re: Advice about NVDA and Skype, hold the flames!

Some info for skype 8: The list of keyboard shortcuts is always up to date, and can be found at https://support.skype.com/en/faq/fa1202 … m-in-skypejust make sure you select the Skype for Windows Desktop and Windows 10 (version 14) tab. Some general advice: This is a web app, and thus you have 2 modes wth are toggled with NVDA plus space. You have your focus mode and your browse mode. In browse mode, all your quick navigation keys will work such as b for button, h for heading and so on, and once you get used to the app it will help you be faster. However, most keyboard commands in this mode are sent to NVDA and thus to use shortcuts provided by Skype, you go in to focus mode. In focus mode, you can use tab, shift plus tab and arrows to navigate just fine, so there is no need to switch modes all the time. In fact I find myself using browse mode really rarely. To call somebody, of course, you will first need to add them depending on their privacy settings. Alt 1 will always move you to the list of recent chats, and alt 2 is your contacts list. Pressing enter on a person and then ctrl shift p will start a voice call. Answering of calls can also be done quickly, by simply opening Skype or making sure that you are focused on it when a call arrives and just pressing ctrl shift p to answer or ctrl e to decline. Let me know if you have any specific questions and I will try to help.

I would actually advise the Windows 10 app if you can, personally. When I used the Electron app, I always, I mean always... had notification problems when the app wasn't outright open and taking up extra space. The Windows store version is the exact same thing, just without the web interface and notifications that... actually work. lol

Personally,, I'd say go with Skype for IOS.I did use Skype for windows 10 a while back and believe it worked fine, there might even be updates that make it better but I find that the Skype app for IOS is quite simple, once you've loged in, you can search for Skype contacts and chat to who ever you have on there with ease, voice calls are just as easy, just double tap on call and you're done.

UWP is Microsoft's Universal Windows Platform, which is essentially another way of writing applications that work on Windows, Windows Mobile, and Xbox. It's supposed to allow you to run one program on all these platforms. However, Windows Mobile is discontinued, and I don't know how many UWP apps are actually useful on the Xbox.I don't recommend using the UWP version of Skype that comes with Windows 10. The easiest way to get the desktop version of Skype is to go to www.ninite.com and check the Skype checkbox. Press the get your Ninite button and run the downloaded file. This will automatically download and install the latest version of Skype for you.

Re: Advice about NVDA and Skype, hold the flames!

dark. There are two versions of skype 8 available for you to use on windows 10.One is that one you can download from skype.com and install. this one is mainly built for tablet and touch screen users because it has one clean UI and it does not allow you to have multi window conversations, e.g. you can't have a window for a conversation and alt tab between it and skype app itself. it looks like a single web interface. One you can download and install from microsoft store. this one is a little bit different and it also allows you to have multi window conversations, and works with tabbing and shift tabbing like the old skype version. The issue that you're having  is mostly caused by an outdated skype version of the second type.My recommendation is:Make sure NVDA is updated.Make sure your windows 10 is updated, or at least you're on windows 10 v 1803 or above. And finally, press windows+I, search for, "remove", go to add or remove programs and remove skype, and reinstall it from microsoft store.Let me know if you still have issues

Your dentist will likely say this, but stay away from anything chewy. Those sorts of things can and probably will pull on the bands and brackets on your teeth and they can come off. Corn on the cob and popcorn are probably also not a good idea. For cleaning between the wires, use a tree brush. At least I think that's what they're called. If the wires start poking out of the bands, applying dental wax can stop them from jabbing your cheeks.

Re: Getting braces soon, any tips/bits of advice?

I've never had them, but one thing I don't know is what is this annoying thing about everyone having to have perfect teeth? I mean, if the damned things are gonna like literally cause problems with one another, fine, but why does everyone need braces to align their teeth so perfectly? It's just bleh, makes everyone the same, what's wrong with fucked up looking teeth? I'm not saying don't take care of them, there's a difference in letting your teeth rot out by the time you're 40 and just not getting them straightened if you can help it.

Hi!Post 1, is it the fixed model or the one that you can remove? I had the removable one, and I had to clean it with a special disinfectant. It was a pill I had to melt in the water and then I had to leave the bracers in the water for 1 hour at a day. Also, if you have the fixed model, it's best not to eat candys. Then, a little bit o-t, you could have some fever during the first days. If it's just some lines, do not worry, it's your body that's getting use to the bracers.

Re: Getting braces soon, any tips/bits of advice?

Hello!I've had braces twice. Once when I was nine and got them removed when I was eleven. At that time, I only had braces on my upper teeth and a Herbst on my lower teeth, which was used to push the jaw forward to correct an overbite I believe; a malocclusion if you will.A week before getting the braces, I got some elastic spacers placed in between the teeth. They were so small that you won't even know where to feel them, which is probably a good thing.Although this article does a pretty good job at describing the process, there's a lot it hasn't covered.Orthodontists often use alginate, which sort of tastes like gluten (flour and water). These will be made to keep an impression of your teeth. Additionally, they may require you to get some tooth extractions to be performed by your primary dentist. When you actually get your braces, the first thing that is usually done is prepare the teeth, but I remember having to bite down on a special stick to get the ring-like bands pushed snuggly into the second molar, which is the very back teeth. This may or may not feel pleasant, but it's usually quick. Once it has been adjusted, some props may be inserted to hold your lips apart as an adhesive is applied. Then the brackets are placed one by one. After that, archwires are inserted and pressed into the brackets. I never heard of self-ligating braces, but if the idea is to pull the teeth one way and push them on the other side, some of them may be spring-loaded. The ligaments pulling the brackets are replaced using a special tool. They'll spin the rubber band until there is enough tension, and then it'll be clipped into the replaced archwire. As noted in post 2, some dental wax can help provide relief, but still call your orthodontist, even if it is outside business hours, and they'll come and trim the piece of wire. You'll probably have trouble talking the first few weeks, and you will also experience soreness that you'll be looking for relief. I didn't have access to things like Ibuprofen or Acetaminophen, so I didn't take anything and just ate bland foods. If you're getting braces on both your upper and lower teeth, some additional rubber bands may be prescribed. These you can put on and off yourself, but they essentially hold the lower and upper premolars together so that they are pulled forward.Tissue tedns to calcify with age, so it helps to b aware of that. Also, when you get your retainer, it is worth noting that sadly, you have to wear them pretty much forever, that is until there is a new means of permanently shifting teeth, or keeping them from getting crooked in the first place.

You can eat chewy candy with spacers in. I really wish I knew that when I had mine. Also they will hurt a little and each time they tighten them. I just brushed mine with a regular toothbrush. I also changed the color of my bands each time just for the fun of it.

I will say strait off you will feel irritation for a week or more when you have them fitted. that is normal and you just have to grin and bare it if you will excuse the pun.I had braces from the age of 12 until I was about 17 and weirdly when I finally had them removed I had got so used to them, I missed them.@3 braces aren't always cosmetic. mine weren't. for example, my top jaw needed to be widened and so I had bands on my upper back teeth with brackets on all the others and a kind of spring thing that went across the top of my mouth to push outwards.what ever they do though, you will be annoyed, I'm pretty sure but it'll be fine in a week or 2.

hi.I got braces probably about 10 or so years ago and they weren't fun. I couldn't eat some foods that I really liked like chips. I think I actually did eat those, even though the dentist told me I really shouldn't. They can hurt when you first get them on though. I don't know how old you are, but it might be better for people that are either younger or older.I would say just avoid certain foods and you should be fine.

Dev looking for advice on how to handle notifications

So there's this developer who is looking at accessibility for their game. They've been looking at existing AAA games for examples of good practice, which are obviously still very limited. So in particular they're looking for examples of games that have some kind of notifications that are communicated in a blind accessible way - prompts that pop up temporarily, like "press x to unlock" appearing when you are standing close to a door. They can't find anything like that in mainstream land but I assume there's plenty in audiogames land. Any recommendations of games they could look at?Thanks in advance!

Advice from any of you guys that use mixers

2020-08-08 Thread AudioGames . net Forum — Off-topic room : NevEd via Audiogames-reflector

Advice from any of you guys that use mixers

So rite now I have a Focusrite Scarlet 18i8, and I can tell I'm going to be outgrowing its i/o pretty soon. Problem is for an interface with 16 channels is really expensive, or hard to find in the first place or would require me to buy another box and sync it via ADAT.People are saying get a mixer, get a mixer. But if I go for an entirely analogue mixer, meaning no digital/DAW functionality, I would have to either connect its outs to my 8 channel 18i8 anyway, or even through USB, everything would be pre fader and the faders would only control the mixer and not the DAW tracks. If I'm going to get a mixer, I would like the faders to work with the DAW, have transport controls, EQ, compression would also be cool, etc etc. There are some pretty dope digital mixers out there but the issue is they use touchscreens. Big nopey, for obvious reasons. So for anyone on here that does use this gear, what do you use?The reason why I need a lot of inputs is I'm going to be picking up a new machine at some point after selling my MPC, with 8 individual outs plus stereo outs, and I'll probably get a rompler or keyboard at some point also, plus a DJ setup, with outputs from the DJ mixer going to the console. I guess even if the console isn't pre-fader, I can use EQ from the DJ mixer to fatten up whatever sounds I'm recording into the DAW, so post fader only isn't the end of the world.Oh, and midi, MIDI is also important to me if I'm going to keep things synced, although I can probably either keep my 18i8 and use its midi ports (not likely), or buy a little USB MIDI hub.

I'm failing to realize what the issue is and I'm truly sorry.  You have Apple music.  Theoretically, you should be able to play the Album you can only purchase from Australia through Apple music without having to buy it.  The entirety of your library can be synced through the cloud and, provided that you stay subscribed to the Apple music service, you can download the tracks onto any of your authorized devices for offline playback.I'm sorry if I'm misunderstanding the question and I do hope I can be of further assistance.

Re: Advice needed, why does this have to happen

meh, at least in my opinion you waisted your money with apple music, and a family spotify premium subscription is just a lot more worth it, and i think it might either be just around the same price. Sure apple music might have there little android app, but so does spotify, and they also have a web player, and music party things, and at least from my experience the interface is just a lot nicer to deal with. And lets not forget, apple music makes you pay to even just listen to music, and spotify does not. You can listen to whatever music you want without paying, and if you want to download or shuffle or get any of those playlist features, then you pay, sure, but you don't have ot pay to simply listen to music.

Hi. Since you stated that you subscribed to Apple music, i'm assuming you have an iPhone. So if you can't buy it on Apple music, see if it is available as a purchase on iTunes directly.

Re: Advice needed, why does this have to happen

Okay, so TheEvilChocolateCookie is asking for ways to get around an Apple Music limitation, not comparisons between music streaming services, but anyway.I thought the entire point of Apple Music was to stream the music, so you could just ask SIRI to stream that album? I don't understand why you'd need to buy it if you can just stream it without limitation (hence why you're paying for the whole service and not the individual music).Again, you could probably change your language of residence or create a new AppleID but I don't suppose you'd want to do that. I believe Homepod would still work without Apple Music, all be it very limited. I guess the only thing you can do is try.@TheTrueSwampGamer, While Spotify does seem to have an endless-use free tear, I'm not sure who'd want to deal with the ads and limitations presented by the zero-dollar incentive. You also don't get access to the "very high" quality option (streaming ogg at 320KBPS) along with the offline downloads feature and limited skips.

Re: Advice needed, why does this have to happen

Yes, you can play Spotify on a home pod, but as someone already said, it's not natively built in to the device. You'd have to airplay to the HomePod, which essentially means it would be an expensive wireless speaker and probably not worth the investment

The thing is I want to buy the album itself, and that album is the only reason I even bother with Apple Music.

I'm not sure if you've explored this option, but play.google.com sells mp3's and albums. Is it there for purchase? Then you would just have to download the album and import into iTunes.

Re: Advice needed, why does this have to happen

What a load of bullshit. This is the goddamn internet. If I were in your position I'd search for an alternative place to download it from, E.G. bandcamp.Or, use a VPN and use a server located in Australia and download the album that way. They're not gonna do shit. Then it's funny when you wonder why corporations see their ratings/profit drop. Before I take out my pitchfork though maybe it's an indie artist and their distribution did an oopsy.

Hmm, ok. Probably a screwup on the distributions part.Random idea... Sample Clearance issues?Ghostface Supreme Clientele had a Canadian version that was different in tracklist from the U.S. version and had some songs that were entirely cut from U.S. release because of samples.

Re: Advice needed, why does this have to happen

Ok. So the album is available on apple music, but not for purchace on the itunes store? Thats... odd... Iust a guess, but it could be a marketing strategy to keep people subcribed to apple music, only making the album available to play from apple music but not buyable from stores, except one. Or maybee the album hasn't made it to the US store? I dunno but its weird. What you could always do is make a apple id for the store that has the album for sale, and buy it that way, then you could just transfer said album to your other apple id or other musicic library.

Re: Advice needed, why does this have to happen

Seems like it would have hit the US store by now. It's a 6-year-old album, almost 7. It's kind of a shame, the one decent modern album I find, and I can't buy it. I didn't even know people still recorded folk music these days.

And as for making an Apple ID, that would be a workable solution except for one thing, payment. The minute I add my US-based card, it becomes a US account.

Re: Advice needed, why does this have to happen

@31, I thought it was a new album like from weaks or a month ago, that's why I suggested it not beeing on the US store. But if it is a thing from almost 7 years ago... then yes, should have been on the US store by now. Btw the apple ID thing should still work. Even though your card is from the US, credit card isn't the only option, paypal could work, or you could buy an itunes gift card, redeem it with the newly created apple ID and do it that way.
