Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Power Management - Energy Saving Switch
The clock issue may be related to time. When the Touch powers up it doesn't have a reliable time (it doesn't have a battery backed up RTC), it needs to go out to a server to get the time. If it has not received the time from a server it will not display the clock (better to not display the clock than to display a completely bogus time) If you are running stand alone (USB drive and TinySBS) the clock will not display unless the Touch can connect either to a local SBS somewhere on your network or connect to mysb.com over the internet. If you don't have a local SBS then it has to connect over the internet to mysb.com to get the time. If something is preventing that connection you won't get a clock. Normally the Touch will try and connect to a local server first, if there isn't one it will try and connect to mysb.com. If there is an internet issue, or if mysb.com is not connecting (sometimes it has problems and players can't connect), no clock. Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] TinySB incompatible with .jpg and .png ?
Message from Andyg (developer Logitech) in April 2010 Local music service has been stopped due to a problem usually means that the system ran out of memory. The most likely cause for out of memory errors is during the artwork scan, when a very large image is encountered. Future versions will refuse to resize very large images but for now this is a problem. So you should look for large high-res images as either cover.jpg files or embedded tags. By large I'm talking over 1MB in size. It will be resolved in 7.6. The artwork code had to be completely rewritten. You should never use PNGs for artwork, always use non-progressive JPEGs and you'll be fine. Hi I have ripped 400+ out of my 800+ CD collection. All are ripped via dbPoweramp and stored on my QNAP NAS. SB Server Software is installed in the NAS. I've noticed today that 2 of my Various Artist CDs are not appearing on the db. I've clear and rescan at least twice and still no show. I've checked the ID tag and I can confirm all are tagged as 'Various Artists'. The missing 2 CDs are from 2 different CDs with Disc 1 2. I am tearing my hair out trying to sort this out. I have no issues with single CDs. Any clues?
