I took the easy way to add an Ikea Symfonisk to my piCorePlayer LMS installation. I simply added the airplay plugin to LMS and used the Symfonisk for playing through this plugin. Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] piCorePlayer 8.0.0 - Bluetooth Discussion
Hello! Today I have a very strange Bluetooth problem. This is the 32bit piCorePlayer 8.1.0 on a Pi 3B+ with an external Bluetooth dongle which is working fine since months. When it starts, I can connect a Bluetooth speaker and it plays without any problem. No dropouts or something like that. But when I switch off the speaker I am getting this: 37672 But when I try to switch on Bluetooth nothing is happening. The only solution so far is to reboot the Pi. When I am using a headphone and disconnecting it this is not happening! Is this something that can be fixed? +---+ |Filename: 704EAA05-C7E8-42FB-9F44-FE1E49BE969C.jpeg| |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=37672| +---+ pi4 4gb picoreplayer with lms and squeezelite for usb inside an argon one case pi3b+ (7\" display, hifiberry dac+ pro) picoreplayer with squeezlite/jivelite for hifiberry and bluetooth headphone inside a smartipi touch case two airport express ikea symfonisk carsten_h's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=69113 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114834 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] [How To] Using the Argon One case for the Pi 4B together with piCorePlayer (7.x)
If you want to boot from SD card, you have to use another bootloader configuration! The SATA controller inside the Argon case is still not using TRIM. I asked them but they dont want to work on this. I think it would be better to use the Argon script as described here and inside the piCorePlayer documentation because you can use the button of the case for switching completely of or reboot. If you want to write the music from the PC to the SSD exFAT would be the best choice. You have to install the exFaT driver in piCorePlayer afterwards. pi4 4gb picoreplayer with lms and squeezelite for usb inside an argon one case pi3b+ (7\" display, hifiberry dac+ pro) picoreplayer with squeezlite/jivelite for hifiberry and bluetooth headphone inside a smartipi touch case two airport express ikea symfonisk carsten_h's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=69113 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113575 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

[SlimDevices: Unix] piCorePlayer/squeezelite and Bluetooth media control?
Hello! I searched a little bit for Bluetooth media controls in Linux because it would be great to use the media controls on my headphone to control my piCorePlayer. What I found is this: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/MPRIS#Bluetooth So it seems that the mpris-proxy has to be started to receive the bluetooth media controls. But I don't know if squeezelite can receive something from mpris, as it is not mentioned as a supported client. Maybe someone with knowledge in this parts can look at this. Hello! In the newest version (1.6) of "Raspberry Pi Imager" it is possible to set hostname, ssh access, configure wifi and set locale before flashing directly inside the program. You can set this to be only for this flash or save it for later flashes. This is available when pressing Shift-CTRL-X. Also you can set that the media should not be ejected after flashing. Hello! In the last months two of my USB 3.1 flash drives can not longer be written, they are only readable. One (32GB) I had used inside a Raspberry Pi 4 with piCorePlayer installation and LMS where it was used for the LMS database. The other one (16GB) was used in a Pi 3B+ with piCorePlayer installation and Jivelite (7" Raspberry display). Both are working fine before for months and then suddenly they are only readable. Similar behaviour when the finger is moved from > top to bottom and vice versa. Is it possible that you are not using the correct resolution for the display? The display maybe has 800x480 and you are using 640x320. The touchscreen is sending coordinates for 800x480 as it is the resolution of the screen and this coordinates will be used for the 640x320 display. I tested both Bluetooth transmitters directly attached to a USB 2 port and with a 70cm USB cable away and with a 1,5m USB cable away. The cables makes no difference in the radius where I can use the headphones. Also strange. When I put my hand completely over the USB transmitter there is also no change in reception. But when I put my hand over the right side of the headphone (there is the receiver) the sound stops. Also strange. I tested also what happens when I go outside with the headphones. There is a big window with double glazing between me and the Pi and the reception is not really good. When I tested this with my iPhone 11 as sender it worked without a problem. I will stay with the LogiLink as it has apt-X support although my headphones have not. But maybe I will have one in the future. pi4 4gb picoreplayer with lms and squeezelite for usb inside an argon one case pi3b+ (7\" display, hifiberry dac+ pro) picoreplayer with squeezlite/jivelite for hifiberry and bluetooth headphone inside a smartipi touch case two airport express ikea symfonisk carsten_h's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=69113 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111972 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

After disabling internal Bluetooth and inserting the adapter before the necessary boot it worked out of the box. Nothing to configure. The headphone could be paired and worked much better than the internal bluetooth before. It is not as good as my iPhone 11 but acceptable. Tomorrow the LogiLink BT0015 should arrive. Also I will get a USB extension cable to see if this will be better. I will write here what happens. pi4 4gb picoreplayer with lms and squeezelite for usb inside an argon one case pi3b+ (7\" display, hifiberry dac+ pro) picoreplayer with squeezlite/jivelite for hifiberry and bluetooth headphone inside a smartipi touch case two airport express ikea symfonisk carsten_h's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=69113 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111972 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
