[SlimDevices: Unix] Rpi
Having helped a few people with LMS and RPi with piCorePlayer, my BIL is the only one having issues. He is 200 miles away and helping him over TeamViewer is not ideal. I am visiting this weekend, and would like to sort it out. System RPi 3b, running away LMS only, with local USB HDD for music. Picoreplayer v 3.22, Linux 4.9.50 pcpCore v7, piCore v 8.01, Logitech Touch iPad with IPeng Issue Spotify (only) is skipping. iPeng momentarily loses the song too, and the album art disappears, and Song Title. Then comes back. https://www.dropbox.com/s/5n59eamutz473bi/Video%2027-02-2020%2C%2020%2047%2012.mp4?dl=0 Im not very good at interrogating logs... Actions I tried dropping Spotify from 320 to next lower setting, and no difference. I tried updating LMS and piCore version and got an error downloading insitu.cfg. Shall I just plan to update to v5 or v6 beta PiCore player - where I am not getting this type of issue? And if so, which one? I guess there is no upgrade path other than full wipe of SD card and start again. 2958129581 Any advice appreciated. +---+ |Filename: 36E850C0-100D-4C08-A5A8-89CF190065ED.jpg | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=29581| +---+ wl1's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9842 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111739 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Yes, I think it meets what they are looking for I have an alarm in my Kitchen Radio, timed so its on when passing through, to listen to traffic alerts, before leaving for the day...so lazy to even have to remember to turn it ON or OFF (after 10mins). Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Music on USB HDD not scanning on pCP
GPT converted to MBR - all working as I would want, scanned music Ok, and now working as a Player and LMS Server. Delighted as usual, many thanks for everyones help in resolving. I then set it up with WiFi and that was a first for me, now working, having added .conf file to memory card as per pcp Help instructions. I have then setup up Samba, in an attempt to add/delete music remotely on the USB HDD. 28288 I tried using tc and piCore as Username & Password but i dont seem to be able to see inside the folder (though the network is present). One of my concerns with the SD Card my friend bought was I didn't realise it was 128Gb, and then selected a bigger partition "whole card". yes, a lengthy delay ensued I have now reverted to proper components I have built with before, 16Gb, and just let pCP pick a size when it tried to install LMS. Thanks for all replies so far... The post #1 shows I did install additional file support, from which I rebooted pCP and then was able to Mount the drive. Your link has extra steps - and I am prepared to wipe the USB HDD and follow those and retry later I just don't recall doing these steps when running a USB (powered from RPi) HDD before. [SlimDevices: Unix] Music on USB HDD not scanning on pCP
I have built a few RPi and matched them with USB HDD - running both LMS and as a player - all OK. But I started to help someone else, and I am having an issue with the USB HDD failing to be scanned by LMS. 28265 I set up the LMS and point it to the Mounted Music of the USB HDD (and it sees it), but the scan shows 0 artists/songs etc and when I browse in LMS to the MNT again - it has disappeared. Any suggestions? I have already changed from a Toshiba HDD to WD. Tried pCP v5. I do suspect the PSU but I only have a MeanWell one to try it against, and it means taking apart a working system. == RPi 3+ running pCP v4.1.0 PSU (non RPI - but it is 2.5A) Memory Card (128Gb) The last 2 items were not what I asked them to order :-( +---+ |Filename: pCP.jpg | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=28265| +---+ wl1's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9842 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111034 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
