I just rip with EAC to FLAC then get my artwork with Album Cover Art
Downloader.
I have never really have any problems with the tags EAC generates.
Sometimes trancode to OGG or MP3 for portable use with Foobar2000.

chuckiebear, i think you are mistaken mate :)
I think you are confusing *Folder* Art with *File* Art.
tag&rename will download, add and display Folder art for all file
types, but it cant actually embed artwork into the actual files for OGG
or FLAC.

Well it seems the embeding the artwork confused Slimserver a bit. I had
to clear my browser cache and manually delete slimservers cache to get
it working again.

Actually it does say "7.0 - This is the latest alpha pre-release (yes,
we really mean it) development version of SlimServer. ", which is what
it used to say for 6.5b.
But it also say's that it's 6.5b thats "headed torwards official
release soon."

I have noticed that SS 7.0 is now available. Could you just clarify what
the situation is for me. I see there is no 6.5b to download now, am i
right in assuming that basically 7.0b is just 6.5b renamed? Although
there is still a 6.5b link. Or is there more going on?

would work better on the Sony PSP? It works 'ok', the
main issues are with the screen layout. For example, the bar that runs
accross the bottom (with Server/Player option) goes right across the
middle of the screen.

They should also consider the fact that if they give away an SB3 for use
before the Transporter starts shipping, they the person with a
transporter hits the problems with 6.3.1 and 6.5b, it could put them
off and that 30 refund policy might just start getting used.

good foolproof interface to a decent ripping engine would be good (kind
of like Nero's Smart Start).
Ogg would be good too, as a few friends of mine need gappless
playback.

best Beta i have tried yet, all of my issues are resolved it seems
(although i have only been using it for a day).

If you have a CUE and Image file, The almum is shown twice. Once for
the CUE and tracks within that CUE, and again for the Image file.
Is this the same bug?

One thing i would say is that better documentation and wiki would maybe
help. I don't think the current wiki is that great for a complete

OK, Now i have turned my firewall (zonealarm) back ON it seems to have
worked!!!

a tight budget.
