No, SqueezePlay doesn't need to be on the same box as SBS -- that would be extremely limiting. Maybe it's connected to MySB.com. Have you tried connecting to SBS from SP, as opposed to waiting for SBS to find the SP player? Use My Music > Switch Library.

That's because it's a plugin, meaning that it runs on SBS. Applets run on the Radio, Touch, or Controller. In the SBS web ui, go to Settings > Plugins and enable display of 3rd Party plugins. Then you should see Other Players in the list.

Just to be clear, SBS does not insert gaps between tracks. In fact it supports gapless playback if the rips are correct. Granted, sometimes the fade-outs on some tracks can be so quiet that it sounds like a gap, so maybe that's what you're hearing. Or not hearing, as the case may be.

oblem there is you have already lost the tag info (other than what is revealed by the file and folder names). The only downside is that you can't play FLAC on iTunes, but you can keep your Apple Lossless for that.
