We have released builder's alert #1 for the KX3.
Some builders have reported the four 2-56 flat head screws used to
attach the battery holders in the KX3 do not seat smoothly against the
plastic holder. The heads protrude upward and may strike and short one
or more batteries to ground. This i

Only amp keying and RF from the KX3 (or any other rig) must be fed the
amp. No alc is needed with the Kx3 due to its low drive level.
The KPA500 will automatically and seamlessly band switch when the KX3
first transmits on a new band by using its internal frequency counter.
