Neale Ferguson has sent me new mono RPMs, and they've been uploaded to
linuxvm.org. The file names are:

Like most software, they've gotten bigger in size, so beware.

Richard,
That depends on what Linux/390 distribution you're installing. Using
Windows' FTP server won't work with SuSE (I haven't tried SLES8 yet), but it
_will_ work with Red Hat.
Someone recently reported using warftpd on Windows with success.

Hello Mark,
I want to install Linux S/390 in an LPAR using my Windows 2000 laptop as
the FTP server. I hear it might not be doable if it doesn't support the
long file names. Are you aware of any good FTP servers for Windows
supporting the Rockridge file extensions?

fwiw I would expect Tomcat to run on OS/2 (Jigsaw did when I tried it, not that
that's especially relevant). I'd say if Apache does, that's 99% of the problem
solved.

Red Hat doesn't package postfix with their distribution. So, you're not
going to find an RPM for it on Red Hat's servers, or any of the mirrors.
It sounds like what you're doing is grabbing RPMs for a Linux distribution
other than Red Hat, and trying to install them on Red Hat. This may wo

When last I looked there was an Apache module that needs to be built for the
host platform.
It seems my pointer to ftp.falsehope.com and a source of Tomcat rpms didn't get
to the list.
CUPS most definitely works on Linux/390. Mike MacIsaac gave a presentation
on it at SHARE in Dallas.

That's one option, the other if you have access to the SuSE maintenance web
is to pick up the latest SLES-7 kernel which should include these patches
already.
Well, it's an option if you're running SLES-7, anyway...
