Thank you for the solution you propose. But how can I put "\oe{}" in
tex-mode via keyboard mapping (francais.kmap)?

Hi,
Could I get a pointer -- what does it take to be able to enter
cyrillic characters in LyX?
I have a Russian locale configured to ru_RU.KOI8-R, and upon launching
LyX, the menus and messages appear in Russian. Also, the date in dvi
output gets printed out in Russian.
It seems as though I ju
Hi!
I'm working in a rather big document with loads of diagrams and
equations. So far, lyx 1.0.3 has behaved brilliantly. However since my
parallel port is dead, I want to export the whole document to a postscript
file and print it somewhere else. This was no problem, but now dvips only

Yes, but other programs are also likely to be bitten by this.

I have just released a new prerelease of LyX. This is believed to be

As always with prerreleases you should be careful when trying it our,
but there are no known serious bugs in this prerelease
I can't find anything in the manual about which logos (\LaTeX, \BibTeX
&c.) are recognised and converted. Further, this would be a useful thing
to be able to define by hand; I'd like I/O to map to the same thing, but
better kerned, for example.

I was wondering if it is possible to reduce the vertical distance between
the two sub-plots.
Thanks very much for any help.

Hi there!
I'd like to insert a figure in landscape orientation (and the caption
too), but I want the page-number in the normal position (at the bottom
of an A4 page). I tried the landscape orientation in the layout
document, but (obviously) the page-number goes in landscape too.
Any suggest?

You just need to select «text» in the Quotes item of the Layout menu.

Hello,
I am using LyX for writing in French and in French typography,
guillemets have to be preceded and followed by a small blank. The
size and the protection of the blank is handled by B. Gaule's French
package. How ever, I have to insert these blanks each time I insert a

How can I make lyx automaticly replace some words by others

in a manner similar to emacs abrev-mode.
Thank you for your heelp,
