I use lyx 2.3.6 on my debian (bullseye) system I often file in Pacer, the database used by the US federal court system. Normally, I just do regular lyx stuff and once the file is ready, export with pst2pdf (to insure that line numbers exist at the left side of each page) and upload to Pacer.

Strange Temp directory used

MacOS 10.7.4, Lyx 2.04 In the preferences of Lyx i set the temp directory path to /Users/MyUser/Documents/TMP. But Lyx uses the following path to create tmp files: /private/var/folders/c9.. Is there a way force Lyx to use the path in the preferences? Andreas

I tried to replicate this error by setting a different language on different sections (something I do frequently in citations and for some expressions), but I cant reproduce the error anymore. Maybe if I mess up the text a little. Thanks for the help.

This test case worked here too. Just my file behave strange, if I wrote some parts I got no errors, but if I copy the section that gave-me errors in your example it works fine. I found out that for some reason the lyx code had an line "\lang brasilian" just after the section that doe
