Very cool.
Feel free to add this to the Plugins area on wiki.slimdevices.com.
I'm sure you'll get lots of interest, this has been something that
folks have asked for for years!
All the best,

No I don't have any of these things running - never heard of them to be
honest.
I have enabled d_command and d_ir debugging so will see what they
I tried this plugin, but can't get anything to play.
I see the Wave Input plugin menu option. When I hit play, it says Now Playing
Nothing. If I try to right-arrow into the Wave Input menu option, I get a
blank screen.
Is this plugin compatible with 6.5.3, or is it 7.0 only?

I am not talking about feedback from the amp to the plugin (obviously
thats impossilbe). I am taking about the plugin ignoring an ir command
from the SB3/Transporter while it is in the middle of sending a
previous command. I am guessing thats why the volume up down with a
remote does not work but
Willy,
Depends what you mean by properly?
I can control the volume of my Denon reciever using the SB remote,
although I don't think holding the volume button down works - I have to
keep hitting it.
However I would rarely change volume by holding the button anyway as the
amp changes volume far too
well that's not really properly (many amps have the sense to change
volume gradually, and i would send back a universal remote that didn't
allow me to hold my finger on the volume button) but it would be a step
up for me...
sometimes if i try and press it real quick it might work from time to
I found the commands on the net, probably via the lirc page, and I have
the default delay set.
It might work when holding the button down (I can check), I just don't
use it that way. The Denon amp seems to accelerate the volume changes
the longer you hold the button and it can easily get out of
I've added the plugin to the wiki page
http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.cgi?PluginsAudio.
The MP3 conversion settings are defined in the
SlimDevices\server\Plugins\WaveInput\wavin_convert.conf file on your
server. These were copied directly from the main convert.conf file, and
use the main
Will this work over a network? That is, sending a signal from a Windows
soundcard to a Linux server running slimserver?

Hi,
I just came across the following problem using custom browse. The
problem is that tracks can be dispayed as '[PLAYTIME]' instead of the
track name.
To reproduce:
1. Use the squeezebox
2. Search for an artist.
3. For some found artist, browse to an album, then to the tracklist.
Then all
Hi,
I'm trying to work out how to use the CLI interface to CustomBrowse. I
am able to use the SlimServer CLI but cannot seem to get the
CustomBrowse CLI to work, based on the examples above.
CustomBrowse and MultiLibrary work fine through the web interface.
I notice that 'can custombrowse'

I think you need to restart SlimServer to see the new fonts.
There was a change some time ago that cached all of the fonts on
startup, so new ones may not be seen.
The .ttf file is not required, the ones that are there are for Unicode
text support
I just spoke with Felix in email about a similar problem. And also an
apparently faulty conf file I downloaded.
IR commands for most devices are made up of a lead-in, a one-time
pattern, a repeat pattern and a lead-out (and delay). When you press a
remote button one time you get a sequence
I am running Custum Browse 1.22.4 and Slimserver 6.5.2 and use the CLI
interface very heavily from touchscreens of my own design(software that
is). 1.22.4 cleared up the only issue I had. Have you checked it and
the wikki for the CLI documentation.
To startout I issue something like

No, but 'can custombrowse browse' should return 1

I don't think so.
Erland,
I just changed my code to use the can custombrowse browse command and
it works fine. I did it the way I did since I did not know about can
custombrowse browse. Is that documented somewhere under the
custombrowse plugin wikki, or under slimserver in general? If so could

How much latencies did ou get with this chaining ?
I experimented some pipe works, using wavin2cmd piped to a remote
mplayer on a Linux box with PLink, and I get something around one
second latency.
I set the buffer of wavin2cmd to 8192, the number of buffers to 2, used

You can select an input by playing the appropriate source song within
the playlist. You can even play the entire playlist and use the FWD/REW

I am using WinXP Pro with a Creative Audigy 2 ZS soundcard.

I posted an update (v101) that fixes the blank screen problem. Btw, this
only happens if nothing is playing. If you press play on the blank Wave
Input screen, or have something already playing, everything's OK.

I was just going to report that I had figured it out and had got it working.
Indeed
I tried streaming to two players, which worked, although I think it
incurs further latency. I haven't tried syncing two players yet :-)
I think this will depend on whether the sound card drivers can supoprt
multiple client applications. It seems the Audigy may if you were able

Hi there
@ willyhoops: What I meant was that I do not get any feedback from the
player (SB3, Transporter) when it has finished sending an ir command.
Anyway, I've put up a new version of the IR Blaster plugin onto my
website that blocks sending (raw/learned) ir commands while another is
