(313) the knights move on
All, I found what appears to be a bootleg recording in a record sleeve - I was shopping for used vinyl.. The record track is one sided and reads the knights move on and [EMAIL PROTECTED]. No other identifying marks. It's a poor quality re-mix of Jaguar with an occasional the knights move on voice over (male voice). Can anyone tell me if it is a bootleg or collectible? To be honest, it's terrible to listen to. thanks for any information... -peace, t
RE: (313) Icon
Did he actually do it? I little bird told me that Carl Craig wrote the song but I took that with a grain of salt. I just never sounded like pure Derrick May to me, but it sounded exactly like something Carl Craig would have written. I asked Carl about it and he said he did not remember... Now I find the original 12 version on a system 7 CD as a collab when the vinyl only credits May? Just wondering if anyone had any info as to how Icon came to be and who actually wrote it. (313) TECHNO ARCHITECT MILLS TO OPEN FASHION STORE
Maybe old news for some u...i found this on the web... If you are trained as an architect, and grow out to become one of the world's most prolific techno artists, why not start your own fashion store? The latter seems to be the case for Jeff Mills, who is starting out his own fashion store in downtown Chicago with his long time partner and Axis record head Yoko Uozumi. They recently started a project they call the Gamma Player Shop, as an expansion of what creative abilities they have and inspired by, or simply because Jeff doesn't want to be touring the globe at an older age, offering a selection of special international fashion brands, with an emphasis on Europe and Japan. Of course, music is not left out of the equation, as Mr. Mills has compiled a CD for the special opening of the store, labeled The Universe By Night, offering a host of special edits and previously unreleased tracks. Although we debate whether techno is so suitable for an up market, 'haute couture' fashion store, Mills is by no means the only techno icon to delve into fashion. What to think of Ellen Allien, who recently announced her own clothing line? The Gamma Player shop will open March 15. The track listing to its opening soundtrack is included below. Track Listing: 1. 14 Dreams 2. Gamma Player 3. The March 4. The Art of Barrier Breaking 5. Now Is The Time 6. The Nomads of Niger 7. Time Machine 3 8. Place De La Bastille 9. Gata 10. Moody 11. Translation: Robert Armani is dead. The Breakeuphoria team has learned today of Robert Armani's death on the 25/02/07. Since it is not possible to find out if the news is true or just a sick joke, the event planned for the 23rd of March that was to host Robert Armani as the main guest is suspended or in anycase postponed until further notice. We will share any further information as soon as we receive them. I will try to find out here in Rome where he has many connections. (313) ..everybody has a story... now on iTunes
When I started this I had no idea where it would go. In fact all I wanted to do was have an excuse to regularly work in the studio and share the results with people who might find it interesting. Now here we are 1 year later and the best songs from the show are now together on an album. It couldn't happen without this whole experiment called podcasting. Between the positive emails from people who've checkout the show, the un-ending nites in the studio, support from friends both IRL and on the internet, inspirations and conversations with my girlfriend Ann Marie It gives me great pleasure to share the results. my first album. ..everybody has a story... (http://lx7.ca/everybody-has-a-story/) Not only is this album a collection of music that I whole heartedly believe in. It's an opportunity to share the music in an honest format. I've never asked for donations for what I do on the podcast, I do it because I love music. But if as a listener, or a reader, if you appreciate the music, the Lx7 podcast, and the website; you can now purchase these songs digitally online from most major music retailers, or follow these link and purchase the album or songs directly. Talking about the future of music, and the end of record labels as we know it; this is what I believe the future of the music industry is going to be. You've listened to the podcasts and learn the stories behind them, now you can own the songs.

Please take photos! And let us know how overpriced yet comfortable the black turtleneck is. Note: Sean Combs Diddy makes more money from his clothing line than he does from record sales (not that I know anyone who has bought either). -Original Message- From: Thomas D.
