(313) Sean Deason - Tsunami mix tracklisting?
I know Sean is an active member on the list, and was wondering if he, or any of the other members happen to have a track listing of this mix. This is an excellent mix, and I had the unfortunate pleasure of djing in the other room while he was performing at this party. I wish I could have heard this at the party. Really glad that it got recorded. There are a ton of great songs in this mix. One specific track that I've been hearing a lot of, and can't quite put my finger on is a minimal acid record with a very very deep voice saying acid in it. Thanks -Andy
(313) NYC record shops
Hey all, A friend of mine is in NYC for the weekend, and said he'd pick some records up for me. Any suggestions as to some cool shops downtown? An address would be extremely helpful as well. Thanks -Andy
(313) Jim Bishop email address
Anyone know Jim's email address? I'm at a different pc now, and want to send him a list of what I want to buy off of him. -Andy
(313) Track ID
Okay here's a long shot, but if anyone can help me out it'd be much appreciated. This song is quite possibly one of the best harder techno songs ever. Anyway, here goes, it's on a mix I have titled Laurent Garnier at Radio FG. For all of you slsk users, it's on there floating around, that's where I found it. It's the very last song in the mix, right before the radio dj comes on and starts talking in french. He plays the bells, another track that I don't recognize, and then the song that I'm looking for. Even if you aren't good at spotting tracks, I highly recommend just downloading this mix because it's fantastic. Thanks in advance -Andy
(313) selling some equipment
I figured I'd post the information here before I submitted it to ebay, because if this could benefit 313-based music, that would be great, as well as taking the hassle out of dealing with ebay. Anyway, on with the wares: I have for sale, both of which are in perfect condition, a korg er-1 rhythm synthesizer an electrix mofx effects processor The drum machine includes the original manual, original power supply, original box, etc. It is in perfect mechanical condition, and the only physical flaws are a couple of extremely minor scratches on the LCD display, in no way whatsoever affecting the working of the display, or the readability of the display. I am asking $200 for the unit, which seems like a very good deal to me. The electrix mofx effects processor includes the original manual, box, and power cable, I will also be providing 4 BALANCED mono 1/4 cables in case it is to be used in an effects loop on a stereo send/receive loop of a mixer, as well as a midi adapter. The unit includes distortion, flange, tremelo, and delay, and is chainable and may trigger other units via midi instructions. The unit is in perfect working condition, as well as perfect physical condition. Th well, which also seems like a good deal to me. Basically, I'm poor!tes will be lower than international rates, but I will ship it anywhere in the world. I apologize, I don't own a digital camera, so I cannot offer pictures of my units, but korgs website provides info on the er-1, and electrix's website provides info on the mofx. If no 313er's are interested, I'll throw them on ebay, but I figure this saves time, and effort on both of our behalves. Sorry for long post, I hope I have sparked interest in somebody though! -Andy
(313) Looking for a record any ideas?
I'm looking for Blow Your House Down by A Guy Called Gerald, but then again who isn't hehe. Any ideas on where one might be floating around would be greatly appreciated. I've been looking for months now, and have had no luck as of yet. In case a catalog number would help - LD 8925. I'm about to give up, seems every copy of this record has a happy home. Checked the usuals like musicstack and gemm and ebay. Any help is appreciated -Andy
(313) new mix online - shameless promotion
A little shameless self promotion here, but I recently put a new mix online. It's got 31 or 32 tracks, mostly old classics, with a few fresh new tracks mixed in, primarily acid house, detroit techno, and detroit electro. The levels bounce around a bit on it, I accidentally compressed the mix to all hell and back while recording it onto my computer, but I do have a more balanced recording of it as well if anyone is interested in a hard copy. All feedback is welcome. Thanks, -Andy

(313) space bump
So I dug out my DJ Bone Subject Detroit Volume Two mix today after having not listened to it in quite some time and Space Bump caught my ear. I tried looking up some information on it, and have found out very little. The artist is listed as Subject No. 1, so I'm guessing it's on Subject Detroit records, which makes me believe it's by DJ Bone. I can't find out any vinyl that's got the track on it, and discogs only lists the song on the mix cd. If anyone has any more info on this track, including where I'd be able to find it on vinyl, if it's possible, let me know. Thanks, -Andy
(313) Surgeon - He is more than good
Surgeon is by far my favorite european techno producer. Everything he touches is pure gold. I celebrate his entire dynamic tension, and counter balance catalogue, plus his releases on downwards, his remixes on labels such as peacefrog, and tons of others. His dj sets are fantastic as well, and he inspired me to often pull a counter balance workout, while djing, the tracks mix themselves flawlessly into each other. Plus, two copies of any of his records always set the crowd off. Plus on a lot of both the counter balance, and dynamic tension releases, the b-sides usually offer at least one detroit inspired track, usually full of ambience, chords, and subtle percussive shifts. He is uncomparable to any other techno dj, when a track of his is dropped, you know it's a Surgeon track. -Andy

(313) vestax pcv series
Actually the faders on the PCV mixers _were_ faulty. Although, Vestax offered to ship a free replacement crossfader for the mixers that had these faulty ones. It was only the original PCV mixers, I had 2 of them, heh. The new ones have the updated PCV faders though, and mine works excellently. The one thing you need to know though, if you plan on using external effects, balanced cables are a necessity, I got serious balance trouble when I used two standard mono cables for the sends and receives, but after I bought balanced cables, my mofx works great with the mixer. I also have an er-1 I tinker with on the third channel of my pcv 275, all three channels, both line and phono work excellent. Just be careful with the kill switches, the low end switches can cause a pop if you don't cut before or after the kick. To sum up, I love my 275, and after getting the replacement fader, have had nothing but success with it. -Andy
[313] electric soul
I was wondering if anyone had an extra copy of electric soul's x squared, or the direct beat THe Mission collection with the track on it. Ever since direct beat stopped pressing vinyl it's been tough finding this, and I'm willing to be quite generous in order to obtain a copy. -Andy - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

track identification
I was curious if anyone could identify a couple tracks off of Richie Hawtin's set at the plus 8 event this weekend. Early on his set when he was spinning more funky detroit techno, there was an electro track that had a vocal sample that went along the lines of Feel the bass in your body, feel the bass in your soul, feel the bass in your mind, now lose control..I was curious to the title/artist of that track as well as the 2nd to last track in his set that was a sort of emotional track that had a drum and bass beat to it, it followed head hunter by front 242 and his final ambient techno track. If anyone could identify either of these tracks I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Andy
