Re: [arr] CWG Song is thumping and inspiring!!

2010-08-31 Thread Suresh Jayakumar
The song has all the ingredients of a slow poison, in a good sense.
So far I am liking it.

Ppl are comparing this one to waka waka which was more cheesey !
ARR is beyond such cheesy stuff...

I like to listen ARR music in my MEElectronics M6 earphone..it's really punchy
and fun.. Especially endhiran songs..

With the heavy workload for the past 1 month, I hardly had any time to spend on
myself…no movies, no hangouts with friends, no chatting and/or interacting on
the net, and no music :( So, when the last of my assignments were sent in last
Friday, my mind was all set to embrace the activities that I've missed thus far.

Call it fate, but Endhiran's audio release was set at a time when I desired the
much-needed emancipation from the maddening world…and boy, what a relief it
brought to my life.

Honestly speaking, I wasn't expecting much from Endhiran soundtracks. Western,
particularly techno music has never been my favorite. Why, even when the whole
world went ga-ga over the funky Hello Doctor and Kalloori Salai (when Kadhal
Desam was released), I've been more moved by the blissful Thendrale and Anbe
Anbe from the same film. And with the kind of film Enthiran was anticipated to
be, I was very sure that there weren't going to be any soulful melodies in the
tracks. Nevertheless, Enthiran is definitely an album which stands tall among
others, even as it continues to create a delightful impact on the listeners.

Leaving the musical aspect of the album to the experts, I'm merely here to
share my experience with the album. The album starts out with Puthiya Manidha,
which also happens to be my favourite track. The prelude music, coupled the
chanting of "Puthiya Manidha" in sci-fi tune (who is this guy?) and Kathijah's
soulful voice creates a certain anticipation in yourself. Well, if you know
ARR's music, then you'll definitely know that this number is just going to get
bigger! And before you could stop thinking, the song hits you like a bang! SPB
pushes into the front lane and with the occasional support from ARR, delivers a
splendid performance. And yes, the whole song has a techno feel to it, but it's
far from being loud and noisy. There's a life in this song, a soul waiting to
embrace the world…and by the end of the song, you know that Enthiran has born
to rule the world.

Kadhal Anukkal didn't create an impact on the first listen as Puthiya Manidha
did to me. To begin with, it took me some time to realize that it's Vijay
Prakash who delivering the number. Is he the same guy who sang Hossanna? He
definitely sounds different. At times, I even felt that he was imitating Udit
Narayan's way of singing. Maybe he's not but I certainly wasn't taken by his
singing nor the song….at first. With repeated hearing, you realize what you've
missed at the first listen. Sounds you've never heard before, the cheekiness in
Vijay's voice, the joy in Shreya's and a positive vibrancy in the whole number.
The song sound fresher after numerous hearing. It's my fault for dismissing
Vijay too soon. He was amazing. Shreya was at her usual best, and leaves a
distinguished mark with the way she loops around the notes at the end of the
song. Wish she had continued singing the notes a little longer. I still don't
listen to this number as much as I
enjoyed listening to Puthiya Manidha, but yes, this is definitely a track to
look out for.

ARR switches back to techno with Irumbile oru Idhayam. The song exudes sci-fi
and techno music at its best. Was I thinking that this would be soulful? A
definite no, but surprisingly and funnily, it is. The whole idea about this
number is to project a man who feels love blossoming from his heart of steel.
ARR uses the right techno sounds to present the number. The high technology,
sci-fi tune depicts the robot's inflexion, while the lyrics, regardless of how
funny or techno centric they are, illustrate his feelings towards his lover.

In fact, I would group Irumbile Oru Idhayam in the same category of Chitti
Dance Showcase and Boom Boom Robo Da. They are definitely exciting; with
amazing, crisp, clear, sci-fi sounds nevertheless, I failed to strike a chord
with any of them. With the right visuals though, these songs would definitely
create a rage in future, but for the time being, they stay at the bottom of my
favorite track list.

Arima Arima on the other hand belongs to a different genre. I must admit that
the number has yet to grow on me but I'm starting to have a fondness on the
grandiose that the number exudes. After a long time, Hariharan is back to ARR's
camp…and as usual, he deals the high notes with élan. Sadhana Sargam on the
other hand, is someone I prefer to hear in softer melodies. For some reasons, I
always found her voice to be a little annoying when sung in the higher notes.
Then again, the arrangement of music in this number takes the front line as
compared to the vocals. Such high-flying orchestration, such perfect crafting.
The song belongs to neither Harih

Enthiran Music Review

I decided to write this review sooner than I thought due to the songs having a
more instant impact and having listened to the whole album at least 15 times
since it came out. Further time is not going to change my opinions. My comments
are only on the music, not the lyrics.

I wonder if we really understand and appreciate the difficulty of Rahman's job,
no matter how musically brilliant he is. He is human after all, and not a
robot. He has to keep in mind so many expectations and demands, esp. when you
have a leading film-maker and superstar with his own fan following….Rajinikant.
Post Oscars, the expectations for Rahman have only grown and I truly wonder how
he manages to rise to the occasion each time, whether we ourselves like an
album or not. With Shankar and Rajinikant at hand, boy, Rahman must try to keep
a lot of people happy all at once, yet creating music fitting for the movie
that's supposed to have sci fi, robo themes! If there's anyone who can do
justice to these demands, it's Rahman. The hype around the music release of
this album is one of the biggest I've seen in a while…..touted as one of the
finest films, most expensive films, etc.

Pudiya Manidha whisks us away to a land of robos and futuristic sci fi, and
man, does it ever leave a mark! One of the sleekest masterpieces Rahman has
ever come out with in my opinion, this song oozes with etherealness, groove,
punch, mystery, intrigue, and trance. This track takes me to another world
truly with Rahman's sweet touches….crystal, progressive synth sound effects,
warm ambiance, loopy synths, and the ever soothing and captivating string
arrangements. Post Khatija Rahman's soulful singing and bleating goat sounds,
the song picks up speed with rhythms and SPB's spritely singing. Notice how the
strings mimic the synth loop melody, only adding depth and character to an
already richly bestowed track. Based loosely on raaga Bhimpalas, the song takes
a soaring route during the heavenly string interlude. Beautiful choral
additions are appreciated, adding a stark spirituality and sonic texture along
with SPB's split octave singing, creating a very
balanced and satisfying bass/treble aural experience on all frequencies. This
track will likely go down as one of my favorites in ARR's entire repertoire for
the reasons outlined above and for reasons I just can't put into words, but can
only feel and experience. For a techno/trance number, it's very spiritual in
feel! A complete masterpiece from start to finish, what a way to kick off

A contrasting, more acoustic, upbeat and happier track follows as Shreya and
Vijay Prakash please us with lilting singing and joy in Kaadhal Annukal.
Rahman's use of rhythm acoustic guitar layered with the sweet accordion and
mouth organ/harmonica is extremely appealing aurally with incredible sweetness!
Beautiful interludes highlight this earthy and charming song with a
Scottish/Irish style using piccolo and accordion in the first, and a very
unconventional, out of the box mysterious and ambient synth section in the
second, showcasing ARR's brilliant creativity and craft. The second interlude
is truly outstanding as it gravitates away from the usual flowery mood and
organic sound and serves us something more electronic and spacey, but never
distracts the groove and momentum of the whole track! I just love how ARR uses
the strings so tastefully and craftily throughout the song creating a very lush
aural landscape, esp. in the end when Shreya's counter
melodic line joins in. A really sparkling track from start to finish for me
and this song just radiates freshness and innovativeness for an Indian film
song. The melody itself is very sweet with many hooks, though unconventional
for an Indian duet film song and at times hard to remember, but with repeated
exposures, I can't get this song out of me!! The whole song is beautifully
supported by a fresh, rhythmic groove that mostly unwavers alongside haunting
and unique chords and chord progressions.

Following the very techno and synth heavy first track, how beautifully
contrasting we hear a very earthy and acoustic one in the second…..truly
showcasing ARR's versatility and genius in the first 2 tracks alone!!!

The third track, Irumbile Oru, is techno to the core, but sounding like an
ordinary remix to me! Marked by some sexy grooves and female rapping along with
ARR's metallic tinged voice, this track has not yet impressed me much
musically. Maybe if

Subject: [arr] Grammy for Sridhar, Deepak and Vivianne

A.R.Rahman received two Grammys for Best Compilation Soundtrack Album For
Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media and Best Song Written For
Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media. What is little known, is that
among the people who were also awarded for Best Compilation Soundtrack Album
were three sound engineers – the late H. Sridhar, a very close colleague of
A.R.Rahman for over two decades, and P.A.Deepak and Vivianne Chaix. The
Recording Academy recently acknowledged their contribution and delivered their
Grammy statuettes.
A.R. Rahman noted that “Sridhar’s professional goal was to get a Grammy. I am
happy that God has answered his wish but sad that it came after his demise.”
On this occasion, arrahman.com spoke to Varun and Vinay Hariharan, sons of the
late H. Sridhar

Q. ARR’s music had always been symbolised by H. Shridhar’s sound. How are you
now coping with the fact that he is not around anymore?
A Well…, it is difficult, but giving up would be the last thing he would’ve
wanted us to do. So, we are living on with a lot of great memories and I think
that’s the best way one can handle such a situation.
Q. His dream had been to win a Grammy award and now sadly though he is no more
with us, that dream has indeed got fulfilled. Your reaction?
A. When we heard about this we were blown away. This is absolutely amazing news
as we really know what esteem musicians and technicians in the music industry
hold the Grammys in. The day ARR won the Grammy we were, and we still are so
thrilled to know a Grammy winner by person and after knowing about Dad’s win
are just speechless. He always said he wanted to get a gramophone to play the
older vinyl records at home but little did we know that it would be this
miniature but most precious Grammy that’s coming home!

Q. How did you react to Slumdog the first time you heard it?A. The first time
we heard it, we listened to it not as an ARR album but as a Hollywood movie
soundtrack, and for that we liked the whole Indian theme to the music as we
aren’t used to hearing something like that in a Hollywood movie and that
obviously gave us cheap thrills.

Q. Any particular incident or two, which he had narrated that you would like to
share?A. He has always said it was his biggest ambition and goal to put his
hands on a Grammy statuette, leave alone taking one home. Even after a long day
at work, getting home at probably 3 AM in the morning, he still had the energy
to discuss work, who he was working with, etc. He has said many a time that ARR
and his music would go places. All this is finally happening and we couldn’t be
happier.

Q. Is anyone else in the family continuing to carry on the legacy musically?A.
Oh, Yes!! Both of us, Varun and Vinay are into music, follow a lot of genres in
music listening to both Indian as well as international musicians and make it a
point to keep up with what is happening in the world with music. It is however
a little early to say whether music will become our profession. We’ll just have
to wait to see.
Q. Any favourite genres or tracks that you have and any special reason?A. We
could never say, there are so many! According to me, it depends a lot on what
mood one listens to a song in. We may suddenly find something magical in a song
or a soundtrack that we have been listening to for months and had never
noticed.

Ram..

"STRICTLY FOR THE DIE HARD ROMANTICS". Sorry guys personally i agree to
this review. Not totally. This is the very same thing that i felt just after
seeing the movie. I know that iam totaly away from the views of you guys about
VTV movie. But still i didnt digest that movie. I watched vtv with lot more
expectations. But i was really disappointed after watching the movie. Songs
visualisations are superb... I was surprised seeing such good reviews about VTV
on internet and on our group. Guys many of my friends have these same opinions
about this movie. And good opinions too.

the composition does follow some broad rules of slow psychi rock.

Boys, test this track in original disc in any high end system.

If u guys happened to go to hyd, ask banjara hills music world dude to play it

Plain brilliant.

Even I miss unexpected interludes, flute, clarinet, chilings and so on.

Especially now a days no voices for children like Nilla kaikirathu and Acham
acham illai from INDIRA, Kuchi Kuchi rakama from BOMBAY,
Chiku bukku chiku bukku railu from GENTLE MAN and so on, have children voice in
between... if you see all songs these kind were hit.

[arr] Oscar-winning 'Slumdog' soundtrack scores big with eclectic mix of music

2009-03-12 Thread SURESH

http://media.www.ramcigar.com/media/storage/paper366/news/2009/03/12/Entertainment/OscarWinning.slumdog.Soundtrack.Scores.Big.With.Eclectic.Mix.Of.Music-3669813.shtml

03/12/09 - Sure, a movie's prestige is based on the screenplay, directing,
acting, location and a countless number of other variables, but equally as
important is a movie's soundtrack.

While "Slumdog Millionaire" is a movie that separates itself from the trendy
stoner flicks, lame family-friendly films and the continuous obsession with
comic book movies, the soundtrack itself separates from everything mainstream
as well.

The album, composed of tracks of all different styles, focuses its attention on
the diversity found in world music, and because of the popularity of the movie,
is able to bring that to a more widespread, popular audience.

The album is a collection of different songs that brings forth different
sentiments and at times induces stress, anxiety and urgency, while other tracks
can also foster feelings of peace, happiness and serenity.

As a separate product from the movie, Slumdog Millionaire would probably not be
a high seller - and in a musical climate that seems to avoid changing styles,
would most likely be outcast as an oddity.

But the soundtrack, put together by highly touted Indian film scorer, A.R.
Rahman, won Oscars for Best Original Score and Best Original Song for the track
"Jai Ho."

The last song on the soundtrack, "Jai Ho" is used in a dance sequence for the
end credits of the movie. It starts off with a thumping repetition of the
chorus and breaks into a more ballad-like bridge with the same continuous
repetition of the words "jai ho."

Because the soundtrack uses mostly original work composed by Rahman, MIA's
"Paper Planes" is easily the most recognizable song on the album. In addition
to the original, a remix of the song is included and makes for an interesting
take on the hip-hop single with its main guitar riff, comparable to the
one-time P. Diddy hit "Bad Boy for Life."

The album is polished and avoids anything sounding like raw musicianship, but
the studio influence neither adds nor detracts to the album's likeability.
Instead it makes it sound more like a soundtrack than a simple indie-released
album.

The song order has no real significance to the album and doesn't seem to have
much basis other than order of appearance in the movie. It doesn't try to group
slow songs at one end of the album with faster songs at the other. And
altogether, the album is balanced with a steady balance of songs with different
tempos, moods, and style.

No song alone is an absolutely necessary part of the movie - such as Peter
Gabriel's "In your Eyes" in the '80s flick, "Say Anything"- but together the
soundtrack accompanies the film seamlessly and produces scenes that are more
poignant and more effective in telling the story of "Slumdog Millionaire."

Easily, "Slumdog" director Danny Boyle could have easily chosen to have
American tracks make up the soundtrack to appeal to a more widespread audience,
but the choice to include Rahman in the musical process was pivotal to the
movie's success as well as that of the soundtrack.

[arr] Delhi-6 Gift

2009-03-02 Thread SURESH
Hey guys,
I saw Delhi 6 movie here last week. I went for the movie to listen to
the background score especially, but the theater sound is pretty bad
quality!
I didn't get bored anytime during the movie and I enjoyed it very much
with the flow of songs that comes in the movie!
Especially the theme behind the movie is good...Director couldn't
execute so perfect..but I liked it...

anyways, thats all about the story and here is the fun part!
after the movie, there is booth (raffle) outside for the Delhi-6
viewers from local radio station and Continental airlines.

And Guess what, I won it! I won a FREE international Ticket (of course
to INDIA) round trip. Thanks to ARR. he is the reason behind this
gift!...hu hooojai ho!

Luv,
Rahmaniac Suresh :)

As a teenager, I used to visit a local fine arts museum through

school trips and with family. There was a Picasso painting there

that I always used to gaze at but never really appreciated it until

one day, several visits later, it finally "hit" me. Then I fell in

love. As I was thinking about this memory, this experience, it

dawned on me how this experience in some ways parallels another more

contemporary experience.

There is a distinction between arts and fine arts. Film music is

commonly commercial and weighs mostly on entertainment factor. For

example, if you look at the music of SEL, they have a very

entertaining, uplifting style of composition that's very celebratory

in nature. It's one of the reasons why I like them a lot. Their

music is instantly likeable, catchy, makes you feel positive. Yet,

their music also sounds fresh and not stale. Some other good MDs out

there also follow this example.

With Rahman by comparison, the additional factor in his music is his

dabbling into the finer arts in terms of his compositional style.

There are splashess of Western classical, Indian classical, jazz,

folk in his music laid out more in depth and elaborated than any

other MD's works. When I hear a great Rahman composition, I find

more subtlety, more refined beauty in the sound, the arrangements,

the melody hits you very differently than a piece that's instantly

likeable and catchy. Hence, why we often need repeated listens for

the song to finally "hit" us due to the deeper layers and us as

listeners being forced to acoomodate to the new musical directions

rather than assimilate to an existing one. Of course, many of

Rahman's songs are also instantly accessable and catchy, but more

often than not, there is this finer arts aspect to his music that

makes his scores very special.

Sometimes his songs evoke images of a Picaso painting, a Leonardo De

Vinci sculpture... ...striking, yet subtle, booming yet modest,

divinely beautiful yet subdued. Rarely is his music ever flashy,

gaudy, obvious. It's the subtlety, the refined beauty of his songs

overlapping into the finer arts category that really sets him a world

apart. But, keep in mind, not everyone has the sensitivity to

appreciate this in his music. Those music listeners who are

interested in only the obvious, the flashy, will not appreciate

Rahman's finer compositions, the finer layers, the deeper sounds, the

small ornaments. And the amazing thing about Rahman is that you

cannot label or categorize him as only one type of composer. At the

drop of a hat, he can create a racy, flashy piece of music that will

send the charts on fire. In the next instant, he can wear Mozart's

or John Williams' hats and create a Monet-esque or DaVinci-esque

refined sound sculpture worthy of display in a future musical museum.

Rahman is not just an entertainer, he is a true artist in the very

finest sense of the term.

[arr] Connections is awesome!

2009-01-03 Thread Suresh Hari
Hi All,

I had pre-booked a Nokia 5800. Yesterday Nokia Priority called me up
to inform that my piece was ready and I can collect it. I was soo
excited for
1)My new 5800
2)Connections album!

I just couldn't sit any longer in office .. I started as soon as
possible and within 1 hour of the call, I was there at the priority
store .. all the formalities said and done, I dashed for home and then
opened the media player to find 0 songs!! Then I realized the memory
card wasn't plugged in. Then inserted the memory card and finally
found the Connections album! :)

I started with 'Jiya Se Jiya' .. no words, awesome music .. awesome
beats! then moved onto Sukhwinder Singh's 'Mann Chandre' which is my
best pick (at present), its a slow, sad kind of song beautifully
rendered by the lady singer n of course Sukhwinder Singh then listened
to the 3 meditation songs 'Silent Invocation' A,B & C which I would
recommend everyone to listen to, i felt soo relaxed listening to these
tracks then there's kural by blaaze wich is another soothing track, u

Hello Friends,

I have mixed & arranged Tu Muskura & Tu hi to Meri dost song together in an
instrumental
form. It was really a tough time for me to understand the arrangements of those
masterpieces.

I have done Tu Muskura in a bit of symphony style and Tu hi to meri dost is as
it is with little
twist from original. Please download it from the below link.

http://www.4shared. com/file/ 69345522/ 9c342b38/ tu_muskura_ _meri_dost_

I'll be waiting for your comments. Thanks.

album non stop from friday night. All the time. I mean
ALL THE TIME. That includes the bathroom as well. I have stopped all

there a way to listen to the songs and charge the batts at the same time?

you are right..i think most of the bollywood people want to hear the
same song in different movies...(ex: himesh..one song--"n" number of
movies)

do you want ARR to compose Roja or similar to like that?

giving freshness always..anyways..i am not criticizing your
taste..just criticizing the comment...

some ppl love himesh or whoever is..thats their taste..

Hello Rahmaniacs,

I have uploaded Khwaja Ji, unplugged version - a part of it at least.  I can
not upload the entire song for obvious reasons.

Listen to that divine voice! He does not need any music, you won't even notice
that the music is not there.

I'm uploading this bit especially for Vithur and all other Rahmaniacs who make
this group so special and worthwhile.  Keep up the good work.

How about the theme music of Mudhalvan (Shankar's flick) ? The theme music that
plays in the movie opening credits as well as in quite a few scenes...I loved

One rare score that I'd like to point out is... may not be theme music, but its
a bg score.

Its the music that comes at the end of "Indian" movie when Kamal (old) walks in
Australia after the last phone call. And the music will continue through the
last credits.

Wonderful music. Someone can rip and share?

Here you go, Vithur..

My choices are

1. Bombay Theme
2. Kisna Theme
3. Jeans

Among these, "Bombay Theme" is unforgettable and will be written in music
history... This will make you cry definitely (that too with the lyrics
"Malarodu malaraga " mind blowing)

Cheers,
Siraj

Dear All,

As suggested by Siraj, in an attempt to start some interesting topic, I would
like to share and would want to know from all, the following. ( Thanks for
responding to my earlier mail on the Last song that you would like to hear )

Q :- List three of ARR 's best theme Music, which u are feel are very dear to
your heart ?

Mine would be

1. Kisna Theme
2. Bombay Theme
3. Thiruda Thiruda Theme

( Only three Pls . Lets try to break our heads and hearts on narrowing the
choices ) . I think this will also facilitate a collection of all his theme
music bits. ( the names)

Thanks

These were my thoughts and may be same thoughts of some members of this
community, when we hear about the GREAT and NOBLE Food Distribution Services of
CHENNAI and Other cities Fans.A R RAHMAN's Music and most Importantly his
CHARACTER is injected into us when we hear his DIVINE MUSIC and I feel then we
want to be a small part of his character, when our LOVE for his music overflows
and the result is the social service thoughts that gets ignited in our souls .

But I am not in CHENNAI or any other Metro City and I don't have any Like
Minded Rahmanic friends to be a part of doing food distribution in my town (
Not Hyderabad ).

Then,

HOW TO DO IT?
Here comes an Unkown Old woman aged about 80 years, who came to my home today.I
was damn busy renovating my home and was roaming all over my town to order and
get the material for constructions. The OLD WOMAN was in front of my home,
sitting on the drainage cover…and I cud see that she cant see things properly.

OLD WOMAN asked me : 'Siru, Ekkada oka samvasthram kinda SHANTHAMMA undedi
kada..ekkadundi, Podduna nundi vethukuthunna, Gavarosthunnadi " ?

(Sir, A woman named SHANTHAMMA used to be here 1 year before, where is she ?, I
am searching for her home from morning and I am unable to move anymore. )

I was damn busy as I told earlier and was about to start my bike and go out and
literally I thought of saying I DON'T KNOW ( Seriously I dunno know SHANTHAMMA
). Then the thread of INDEPENDENCE DAY PLANS of this community and Food
Distribution Programme of this community fans made my mind to change my answer
to her.

( 1st OCCASION,WHERE I THOUGHT OF WITHDRAWING ANY HELP TO THE OLD WOMAN LIKE A
COMMON MAN )

I stopped my bike and parked it aside and I went to her.
MYSELF : "Which SHANTHAMMA amma?"

OLD WOMAN : " SHANTHAMMA was a BRAMHIN Woman. Teacher. She used to live
somewhere in this area but I am unable to find it as my eyes r not fine and
blinking as I am hungry from morning ".

I called my neighbour aunty and asked her about SHANTHAMMA. She too doesn't
know.I pleaded her to enquire in the back street. She agreed. She went back
street.

[re]( 2nd OCCASION,WHERE I THOUGHT OF WITHDRAWING ANY Further HELP TO THE OLD
WOMAN LIKE A COMMON MAN )

The OLD WOMAN was not a beggar. She dint even ask for money or food, but was
bending her head down and I can clearly see she is very hungry.

MYSELF : " What Happened Amma"?

OLD WOMAN : " I am searching from morning my child,I am very hungry,I wish I
can find SHANTHAMMA soon".
I opened my pocket for giving money, then the old woman asked,

OLD WOMAN : " Sir, Can u please give me 5 rupees? I will buy bread and eat,I am
about to faint ".

Unfortunatley I had all Hundred and Five Hundred rupee notes.I told her the
same.

( 3rd OCCASION,WHERE I THOUGHT OF WITHDRAWING ANY Further HELP TO THE OLD WOMAN
LIKE A COMMON MAN )

hi guys..
its a good news but even i fear abt this news.. the reason is " the remake wil
undoubtedly be good to hear , but will people of all generations accept it?"
the youth wil start liking it very easily.. the question is abt our older
generation people.. they jus wouldn accept this idea i feel...
anyway as of now lets wait for the big show..

i cant believe you guys are still doubting arrs talents. gowsalya
suprabatham that was made famous my ms subbuluxmi (which is a song
that you associate with mornings) was once again redefined and made
famous by ARR in margazhi poovae. the way the tune was used was even
better than the original. have faith.

Well, ethics apart!
I just couldn't resist myself to listen to it.
It's really really awesome clarity.
Even, I can clearly distinguish the difference when I listen with high
standard earphones. even small beats which never observed when I am
listening with normal 256 or 320kbps.

I recommend everyone to buy original and rip at this quality (as per
the DRM laws..uff...) when they are listening in their PC/laptop etc
FEEL the NEW in ARR Songs...

vaidya ji. plz stop calling me himmathwala. I feel little embarrassing :)
there is story behind this mail id.
my birth name is: Himavanth
I was having [EMAIL PROTECTED] mail id, to which i subscribed
to this group during early day of 2000. I used to get 100s of mails.
So i thought of creating new mail id with my birth name, which was not
available. so i created this, which is very near rhyming wise (it
striked to me at that time)...anyways, I feel little shy when i saw my
email id. anyways, i wanted to say that because, ppl wont judge my
attitude based on my email id.

2008-07-25 Thread SURESH
:) I will calm down guys! Just said my opinion. because it happened
two times. i forgot to mention one thing in my previous mail that.
When I wrote my ARR story in Houston, Vijay made a comment that thats
the way fan shouldn't be! but I can't help myself. I am crazy fan of
ARR. I would like to meet him..talk to him..have a snap with him. take
an autograph with him...we luv him. same thing happened with vijay
around 15 years back, where less media and communication world. and he
is saying those things now! thats why i hurted little bit. anyways, I
understand he may not be meant that. but it sounds like that because
of those words and he said that to me, when I met ARR.

anyways, I dont wanna continue personal discussions..njoy ARR related
stuff :)

I am not really convinced with above statement. I am a crazy fan of
Rahman. If i get a chance, I too like to spend my entire life with
Rahman (musical life..of course not intruding into his personal life)

Vijay, you are lucky enough that you met ARR at very early stage and
nice opportunity to be with ARR. you dealt it perfect. you got the
talent to do it. but discriminating other fans is not just good.
This is the second time I am observing that kind of attitude.

When I met Rahman in Houston, I dont have much choice other than
taking an autograph...At that time I dont want to disturb ARR more
than that.

anyways, I am not being jealous, but contrary to the above two lines
of words. All fans are equal (just like all human beings).

I luv this grp so much, I get all coolest..rarest bits of ARR which I
couldnt get any where else...

I will be grateful to the person replying this mail.

What exactly is this?

Doesn't seem to be the film video of the song as your mail suggested.

Some guy, face darkened, sitting and supposedly singing it moving his
face while the song plays.

Whatever. it would help if posters could describe what they are leading
us to. It is a big disappointment to go and follow all the procedure to
get a 3:57 or so mins video only to find that it is not what the
original implied.

Hi Rawat,

Thanks for that effort!! But, there are a few mistakes I could spot...

here u go:

This one is not a mistake, but I felt it could have been put better to bring
out the complete essence of these lines:

Avan idhaya veetil vaazhum tamil degam venthu poagum
ena avan arunthida maataan SUDU neerum sudu soarum

He won't have hot-water or hot-rice, as it would burn the girl who's inside his
heart
(This idea is an adaptation of famous verses from Thirukkural)

The other place where I made correction was:

oruthikkaaka vazhkira jaathi, unaravillai innoru paathi...
(He is) someone who lives for (and loves) just this one girl...
But, his other-half (the girl) doesn't understand it!!!

as for the line for which you couldnt get the exact meaning -- I too couldnt
make out what the first part was - all because of one word... i dont think it
is vooda, but i dont know what it is!:

aathiram naethiram vooda .  paalayum KaLLaai aval paarkiraal
She suspects even milk to be toddy   (kaLL =
toddy)

Cheers,
Aravind

Thanks Aravind, for correction. You are most welcome.

I don't know tamil, so when I saw English translations posted, I picked
that and translated from there. Several things could not become clear to
me, in these two as well as the other songs. It is good that you corrected.

Hope members would enjoy the songs more, now that they know the correct
lyrics in three language.

And yeah, let me mention that I have Vali's name a lot. So, I am
enjoying the moment of having translated Vali's lyrics.

On the reuqest of hundreds of people on Aamir Khan's blog, they have
decided to add the Jaane Tu.. song to the film. As the link says about
70% people suggested to add the song. I am really really really happy,
as Jaane Tu.. (Runa version) is my most favorite song from the album
and I was highly disappointed to not to find it in the film. Kudos to
Aamir for considering fans for this decision.
