It's better to use the instant translate addon for NVDA to browse the site, and the main SR full voice site has links in english at the top. Re: Would you be interested in an rc flight simulator? Hey everyone,As promised, I have an audio recording, more to show what the project sounds like, than to show functionality, as its a bit limited at the moment. Please let me know if you think this sounds good or it sounds horrible. I want to know either way, and if possible, a comment.A little background before the link.Breached skies is a rc quadcopter/drone simulator. It attempts to simulate what a typical 4 channel quadcopter would be able to do.These recordings are all my own, as I fly these aircraft as well. There are millions of videos of these on the internet, I just so happen to fly the blade 350 qx. Which is what this simulator models after. But, I'm not doing this pitch based, oh no. I'm doing this sample based. Frankly I'm tired of the pitch based handling, so I've decided to reinvent the wheel a bit, as it were.Recording and explanation.https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/954 … 20demo.oggI'll tell you what happens at various points in the recording, as things can get a little confusing.0:00 I start the game, features no logo but will be changed.0:00:06 I show you the speech configuration and slow my speech down for you to understand.00:00:33 I actually start the simulator.00:00:36 I arm the motors.00:00:40 I lift the aircraft off the ground, with the w key, though that is not spoken, lol, I will enable that (by uncommenting the line of code lol), and the aircraft levels out into a hover.00:00:49 I begin moving the aircraft forward. The sounds are similar for all 4 directions, unfortunately.1 minute in. The quadcopter reaches maximum speed allowable in that flight mode. Flight modes aren't even close to being in.00:01:05 I release the right stick (which controls movement), and the quadcopter slowly levels out into a hover.00:01:18. I perform a bit of transitional flight, where the aircraft is already moving but rapidly changes direction of travel.00:01:30. I attempt to be an idiot and hold down two keys that would normally counter act each other, but the quadcopter simply attempts transitional flight over and over and over. This does come to the one drawback, I cannot allow you to travel in two directions at the same time. Looking into that. The dynamic sample framework tends to glitch up sometimes, that repetitive transitional showcases it quite well.00:01:51. I Set up for a rightwards bank at full speed.00:02:02. I release the right stick again and it centers.00:02:09. I press esc to go back to the main menu. So, that's it.Let me know if I should continue or forget it. I appreciate all your input! Re: Heat Engine, a game engine for BGT games
Re: Heat Engine, a game engine for BGT games Here's another thing: You say in the documentation when you start describing game controls that the maps will handle this in a future version. When might that be? How will that work? Thanks. About to download the latest version.Edit: Given the fact that actors make up the majority of the game, these are the hardest to create. I suppose with a sidescroller, I can just create a map using fpControler and just have X/Y coords not worrying about Z.So, map creation is one thing the engine is great for now, I'm pretty sure I could do that. However, with the same code I posted above, under the new version it still won't run. I changed Game.run to game.load, because there's no map yet, just wanted to get the menu out of the way.If I use the fpControler for my game and atatch a character object to it, will the WASF keys work, as described in the object source file? Or do I have to put that in my character class for the character I want to create? T he documentation implies that if you atatch a character to an actor such as player, that'll work. What was the line I was supposed to remove again? Now the BGT parcer is having problems with "equipable.bgt".File: Equipable.bgtOn line: 0 (0)Error: Could not find script file in any of the following locations:'C:\Heat Engine\HeatEngine PRE-RELEASE v0.10 (current state)\HE\HeatEngine\Events\Equipable.bgt''C:\Program Files\BGT\include\Equipable.bgt' URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=214625#p214625 ___ Audiogames-reflector mailing list Audiogames-reflector@sabahattin-gucukoglu.com https://sabahattin-gucukoglu.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/audiogames-reflector

Re: Psycho Strike - New Strategy/Action game
Re: Psycho Strike - New Strategy/Action game Hi all,First I'll say I bought the game 2 days ago and have been playing it nonstop since. My character is at level 100. I've been going solo for now.Bryan, I don't think that's a bug, that's a news report the game puts together that I don't think is meant to reflect the goals you have set for your gang.spoilerAgomez, I think I have an answer for you about the grenades. The grenade packs are what you buy from the black market and they will occasionally spawn in the weapon shop as well. The grenade launcher, which is just called grenade for some reason, can only be found at the weapon shop. It spawns randomly like the spear does, and you just have to be lucky and get it when you have the chance. It's a sweet weapon, I might add. Also another spoiler: the highest level you can reach in the game is 100. You'll still gain experience after that but you, the enemies, the weapons, etc . won't level up past that. Re: Talking dosbox pre pre alpha 0.01 @Trenton good to know. I obviously hadn't checked the Eamon guild site blog for a month or so the last post I saw was from december 2013 and it was that way for quite some time. On the one hand of course, both Matthew Clarke who runs the Eamon guild site and Derric Jeter who mentioned the eamon delux utility are the creators of Eamon deluxe or for all I know involved in development, the man in question is Frank Black. On the other, Derric Jeter is one of the people who has written a new edx adventure, the very good Stronghold of Ka'dur back in 2013, and was working on supposedly another pretty awsome and large scale one, so if he's back working with edx we can hope the project will get underway once more, and if it can encorporate a talking dosbox all the better. I don't recall this thread, I must've missed it first time around. @Afrim, interesting stuff, I didn't know that about the language in albania.@Arabic, the problem with those created universal language thingies, like esperanto is practically nobody actually speaks them accept in dedicated communities. Esperanto has gone out of fashion I think precisely for that reason, in that back in the ninenties it was just a sort of status symbol more than a practical language and a way for people to prove how modern and cultured they were (there's fun made of this in the British scifi comedy tv and book series Red Dwarf).Anyway, to an extent the arguement of language similarity based on similar origin, grammar etc seems vaguely true, a Dutch friend of mine did tell me she found English easy and said it was because it was linguistically closest to dutch (though whether this is true or just her opinion I'm not sure). however also I agree with Assault freak, things are often highly individual. If you have like my brothered watched a lot of subtitled Japanese things, you will naturally absorb some of the language, just as you would if you say lived in a place where more than one language was spoken, I have a cousin who's wife is Estonian and their sun who was about four when I last saw him spoke English and Russian pretty equally and switched between the two quite casually. Despite the supposed French influence on English, I found, and in fact still find French a horribly difficult language, both in it's pronunciation and emphasis, and in it's down right crazy spelling! Indeed it is quite odd, I came back from a week in Austria speaking actually quite a bit of German, just from learning how to order food in restaurants, buy things in shops and say I was from England, (the majority of the Austrians where I was spoke extremely good English but I did appreciate learning the language).I also c ame back from Griece when I was a teenager knowing a few words of modern Griek, particularly because the Grieks seemed to appreciate the fact that I'd made an effort, but I've not once learnt any French despite going to France several times and despite whilst in France people often seem to understand English but do not actually speak it, not sure why this is, or even if it is all of France or just the bits I saw, though it's a fairly common experience that people I know who have been to France have had. One French chap I met who I discussed this with, (he was a Doctor of Archaeology), actually said the French education system was so theoretical, that people in France who learnt English actually never got any chance to practice it at school, they were just first presented with the grammer and word list. I don't know if this is true, or if any of our French members could confirm it but it was an interesting thought. Apart from French though, I did spani sh at school which I found not too hard, the concepts with the different tenses were not difficult for me to understand albeit that I was learning in secondary school so the pace was slower, and have been learning conversational Italian which again I find relatively easy, basically so that i am a more effective singer in the language, although it's structure is far less rigid than spanish and remembering all those irregular verds is a pest (in Spanish it always seemed far easier to just learn the rules annd apply them), particularly sinse I don't unfortunately italian on a frequent bases.I could probably make myself understood, and cope if I had to order in a restaurant, go shopping, do the touristy things, and according to people I've sung or spoken to mmy pronunciation is fairly convincinn, but I don't find myself completely natural in the languaage or able to converse without extensive pauses and rememberings by me of what word or tense applies, though according to my teacher I've not done too badly. What I particularly like is that given that my teacher is from genoa, I learn a lot of the culture and about life as well as language, plus she gives me the most amazing Italian imported coffee! . What I did find interesting is that when my parents, and to an extent I first met my teacher we believed her to be a slightly abrupt rather commanding lady because of the way she spoke. she would say things like "You come on wednesday", or "Go and sit down and I will make the coffee" These sound almost rude in English, given that in English we'd usually phraise such things as requests, or add the word please to be polite, eg, "come back on wednesday please" or "If you sit down I will bring you some coffee" and originally we assumed my teac her was a rather foreceful lady. Funnily enough though, it turned out as I got to know her that is not the case at all, and when I learnt the Italian it turns out Italians have a very different method of Politeness, don't use please casually, and indeed to actually give! orders would nee

Re: Trying to get nyanchan sugoroku DX to work Hi,thank you so much, it works now! I just started playing with it a bit and can't say much about it yet, but it's helpfull if anyone who plays it at least know a bit about Japanese numbers, since these are not sent to the clipboard for some reason. But since there is a keystroke to move as far in either direction on the board as possible, it will work without knowing that too. Other than that, I'll just keep playing and see how it goes. Thanks again for helping!Best regardsTikki URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=214623#p214623 ___ Audiogames-reflector mailing list Audiogames-reflector@sabahattin-gucukoglu.com https://sabahattin-gucukoglu.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/audiogames-reflector
Re: Psycho Strike - New Strategy/Action game
Re: Psycho Strike - New Strategy/Action game Hi all,First I'll say I bought the game 2 days ago and have been playing it nonstop since. My character is at level 100, and the game didn't seem to be stopping me sso I'm assuming the limit of how high a level you can reach is still higher than 100. Re: Talking dosbox pre pre alpha 0.01
Re: Talking dosbox pre pre alpha 0.01 Hi pitermach.Ok here is my old hard drive from my 386 sx I backed up ages ago before most off my disks went bad.there is a lot of stuff in it Norton utilities qemm and a few other things. One thing does the c drive if its the only thing mounted in emulation does it take that as the hard drive.try these at your own risk I won't want to stuff up my computer with some of this as it could be dangerous however you may want to experiment as you see fit.quemm is the quarterdeck expanded memory manager I got this from an install so its not a real install just the files you need to run qsetup then optimize.I suggest you include the b000-b7ff which is the old monochrome reagon, also mft is a diagnostic program that can come in handy to.device files and a few other programs are loaded in here.Norton has everything from disk docter and speeddisk and a few other bits of crap which I am not sure about.I have lots of games some are from the ifarchive.I won't have time to test things fully today but whatever.anyway for everyone else try the games the programs are your own risk to all the sup 622 folder is for my old Toshiba and can be disreguarded there may be others that can be disreguarded as well but I have not touched this folder in at least 5 years.it should take 16 minutes to upload or so.note piter if you do get qemm working when its done its first time, in all the device lines with various memory numbers change those and put random gibberish numbers in the file then run optimize again.Do that in your config.sys and autoexec.bat then again that may not work there is also a beep and some other music stuff, I also have an old version of wordperfect I am not sure if its included or not but I can give it if you care for it.I have some old mastertouch 1 2 and keysoft 1 disks but sadly they are useless to general users even me now.I have emailed frank of eamon del uxe your email address and the link to this topic but he has gone. The last I heard of him a couple years ago was that he was hacked and then a day after that the post on his blog went.He had apparently lost the source code but didn't elaborate.its a shame he's not here now he has been wanting to make an emulator for ages.anyway have fun URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=214619#p214619 ___ Audiogames-reflector mailing list Audiogames-reflector@sabahattin-gucukoglu.com https://sabahattin-gucukoglu.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/audiogames-reflector

First off, it's an awsom game and I don't regret buying it ever since I did. Then, a sory tline, and a few more locations, would be pretty neat. As for the bank: if gang members aquire more money than the vaults contain, how are you going to keep up ... I mean, since the shield rqises in value, shouldn't the saves do so as well? I'm only fairly in the beginning of it all, but I am forseeing trouble with cash if this keeps up much longer. I try my best to visit the bank often enough, but breaking open the vaults simply doesn't pay off enough for buying shields, and ammo etc. URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=214612#p214612 ___ Audiogames-reflector mailing list Audiogames-reflector@sabahattin-gucukoglu.com https://sabahattin-gucukoglu.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/audiogames-reflector

Just keep pressing enter, and eventually you will get to the screen where it asks you to download the latest update. There are quite a few messages to scroll through, so you will be pressing enter many, many times before you can update and proceed. But the default should be on clipboard. that was what happened when I did a fresh install. Also, I just discovered that the default options.dat file is not set to output to the clipboard, so you can go into the data folder in the game directory and delete the options.dat file, which should set everything back to default, including clipboard output. I'm guessing Yukio bundled his own options.dat with the installer by accident. So, I'm pretty much stuck with my phone for the moment, and it turns out that being forced to rely on Safari for everything is frustrating. Quite so.The supervisor of the local Department of services for the blind finally got a hold of me on Friday, and sounded surprisingly enthusiastic about my game development shenanigans. Re: Help with choosing between Python VS. PureBasic
Re: Help with choosing between Python VS. PureBasic I can do basics with BGT. The thing that's hard for me, made slightly easier by the Heat Engine, is making maps. The WorldBox class that the Heat Engine has makes it easier because all you have to do, to make the core map itself, is put the properties in such as length, X/Y start points I guess--I'm new to it, so not 100 percent sure. In PB, you make the array and how big the list is starting at zero which is the index, and line by line list what is in the array. Let's say the array was a list of enemies in an enemy class. I forgot how to start PB arrays, but once you start an array in PB, it's something like:bird.idog.ihamster.iYou get the idea. The "i" is referring to the fact that it's an integer array, I'd assume. Haven't read a whole lot on PB. With BGT, most arrays I've scene create a for loop so...for uint(i)(Parameters go here). Most people, once they become proficient will put five statements of code on one line--especially if statements, making it hard to read. I've adopted Genua's coding style and indenting as much as possible, but I prefer the one statement on a line method until I can look at my code and figure it out. AKA PB and listing arrays individually. I'm not ready to spend money on PB yet though.Okay, that's my rant over now. Re: Help with choosing between Python VS. PureBasic
Re: Help with choosing between Python VS. PureBasic BGT will never be cross platform. I spoke to Philip on this matter, and he said that it wouldn't be cross platform'd to Linux users because of the fact taht he'd have to interface with the X audio system, which doesn't support what he has already. I did not ask him why Mac wouldn't work, although I'm supposing that it's probably for the same reason, and most of the Mac apps are written in objective-c so he'd have to rewrite BGT entirely in that to get the desired affect. Re: Psycho Strike - New Strategy/Action game Yeah, good Sappi 5 voices usually aren't free, unless you're running Windows 8, in which case Microsoft David is far and above Anna.As to flying solo, it is pretty cool to do. It's a different gaming experience. You don't have to pay anybody, and you're much more likely to be able to get a shield. To be honest, though, I think it depends on which goal you've chosen. If you go for the killing people approach, you're absolutely going to want AI players. It will happen much faster. If you want cash, having them around would surely make that goal impossible. As I said in a previous post, they just keep wanting more and more, and just as fast as I can get money for them, it's gone again.I have two saved games going. In my first game, I have 5 people with me, and I'm going to break out a sixth, just as soon as this damn health counter goes up for all my guys. I'm level 44, and the rest of my guys are also pretty high lev els, so it takes days (game days, although it feels like real ones sometimes) for everybody to get back up to full health. In my second game, I selected the cash goal, and I'm flying solo. I think I'm level 12 at the moment in that one. Trying to get nyanchan sugoroku DX to work
Trying to get nyanchan sugoroku DX to work Hi,has anyone here ever tryed to play this game? The readme says that the game does have a clipboard option, so it could work with translation. But my problem is, that the game doesn't speak at all when I start it. There is a sound of scrolling text, but my clipboard is empty and NVDA doesn't even speak any japanese text or anything at all. I thought this text just is a kind of game intro and kept pressing enter to just skip it and somehow get to the options, but it just keeps going. It seems that the game wants me to do something which I don't know since I can't read the text.Maybe someone here has had more luck with this game and can help, I'd really appreciate it. It's a kind of dice game which sounds a bit like Monopoly, but with lots of stuff like action cards and minigames thrown in and I'd really like to try it if possible. Thanks and best regardsTikki URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=214594#p214594 ___ Audiogames-reflector mailing list Audiogames-reflector@sabahattin-gucukoglu.com https://sabahattin-gucukoglu.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/audiogames-reflector

Re: Best way of recording from both a sound card and microphone?
Re: Best way of recording from both a sound card and microphone? You could do it that way Turtlepower, but that would likely be overkill, and would not work too well on most computers, because the consumer level sound drivers that most computers are equipped with isn't meant for anything more than playing and recording from one audio device. Once you start using virtual cables to route things to each other, for example routing a microphone back to the headphones and then recording this routed signal, then you start getting delay. The reason you would route certain applications to a virtual cable is if you say, wanted to send the game to one cable and some other application to another cable to keep their audio separate from each other. Then you would have to route all the cable audio back to the sound card to hear what you were doing. I've done it before, and while it's not complicated if you understand the logic, it is still painful from the execution side because of the delay which will quickly stack up with multiple audio repeaters being chained together. For a gameplay recording though, you shouldn't have to be too worried about using multiple cables and audio repeaters. Using the simple approach I described in my post above will still get the job done. If you have any problems/questions, let us know. Re: Swamp, zombie FPS by Aprone grryfindore wrote:Ahoy all@mehgcap Thanks for your reply. I Suppose there is nothing for it but to Gain levels which are kind of hard without missions and only db's seem to be worth it at this level which obviously I can't do alone. With the Help of revan and chivell I got to level 60 where I could at least trade and further more revan was kind enough to give me quite a lot of starting gear Which has certaimly helped. So far I have tried solo 20 and 30 crates warehouse missions with different zombies, biters fearse which I did at 80 40 respectively which worked out pretty well but the exp was about 1300 which is not enough at 60 or even 61. For kicks I tried40 dbs and 10 crates but the buggers kept running on me and instead of finding crates what I was forced to do after moveing even a bit was to pull out my m60 and get to shooting those deathbringers. I managed to find about 4 crates out of 10 and then had to retreat. Maybe its to do with me not being so good at finding crates considering I have only recently learned how to navigate the weapons wearhouse again with the help of someone who was kind enough to walk me through the hole thing.Talking of missions zombies and their loudness, I don't really use the radars until I'm stuck and if I am not, I prefer to move without it. It works out pretty well in the weapons warehouse at least, couldn't say about the other one as I haven't tried a solo on it. The zombies can indeed get so loud when many of them are hitting you at once, that you are not able to here anything at all What a few people have done to deal with such things is to lower the sound volumes of the things they find too lo ud but I haven't tried it myself. sometimes pressing the reload button on the medkit after using it, doesn't seem to reload it you need to press it a few times to get it to work. .Grryf It's not impossible to get levels without doing death bringer missions. I'm at level 127, and I got some help to get tl level 60, or 65 I think, and that was by choice, because people are definitely willing to help. I got a lot of help with my first character, but wanted to try to do more on my own with Xylon. I only do normal zombie missions. 40 crates with 180 still gets me about two levels. Not to say that I won't ask for help later on, because I'm still not comfortable doing large death bringer missions. Just learned that small warehouse, The best advice I got was to learn a good route, and try not to get stuck anywhere. Oh yeah, And only used your Ax or your machete if you have it. Re: What language is easy and what is difficult? Hello there,I stumbled upon this thread earlier, but didn't have the time to answer. So I'm bringing this up again out of the depth.I have to agree that German is a kind of more difficult language. But currently I am in a Latin course for a couple of years now, and I must say that it's more difficult, especially because of the ending-letters of a word. Because the ending of the word declares the tence, singular/plural, the person, etc.In my opinion, Nederlands is echt makkelijk to leeren voor mij (Dutch is really easy to learn for me).If you want to see what learning Dutch is like, you might check out http://www.taalthuis.com and find out yourself how difficult or easy it is for you. Many Dutch people also speak English and German pretty good, which is quite impressive! And many eastern-Europeans I met could express themselves in German pretty good, especially those from Czeck Republic, Slovakia an d Poland. I did e-mail the edx creator and send him a link to this topic, sinse he has been looking for a solution like this for years, however unfortunately after a lot of development, including convertion of several more Eamon adventures to eamon deluxe in 2013, he seems to have dropped off the map again, which is a real shame sinse edx was lining up to be awsome and there were some amazing new adventures written for system as well as convertions of classic ones. Re: Heat Engine, a game engine for BGT games
Re: Heat Engine, a game engine for BGT games The link to the web site is : http://heatengine.craym.eu . The online documentation is http://heatengine.craym.eu/Doc/Heat%20E … 0Help.html and you can download the documentation file here : http://heatengine.craym.eu/Heat%20Engine%20Help.chm That's a good idea, I will add the documentation in the engine files this afternoon when I will have finished the generate.bgt file. For the screen reader support, I don't know what BGT can do about this and how it works (I never used them) bu if you give me a little more explanations I could add this to the engine what would you see added to help you using screen readers? Re: anyone have pacman talks?
Re: anyone have pacman talks? Hi Phil, I'll change the packman talks links to Gma.I know a new version of Sarah is in the works (if nothing else because of the recordings I did), however I'm more concerned about any new visitors who want to try the game, sinse while a new version will of course be awsome it doesn't help anyone who hasn't played it who might want to in the short term, hence my concern. Btw, on an entirely unrelated note, do you have that Sarah 1.2 trailer recording with the bit I did as olivander? my mum was asking about what voice acting I'd done and wanting to hear some, and sinse the audio there is great it probably would be a nice one to hear even if you did have to make my voice lower . Re: walkthroughs for these games.
Re: walkthroughs for these games. Nothing audio I know for either, though there are various comments about the blind swordsman in the topic in new releases. To be honest though, with the blind swordsman at least, a basic audio recording wouldn't help much, sinse so much is down to timing and the correspondance between the attack sounds and parry's which aren't simply based on just boppit style reacting but anticipating and learning the timings, so text detailing the tactics involved will probably help you more with the game in that case. Re: Help with choosing between Python VS. PureBasic
Re: Help with choosing between Python VS. PureBasic I'll try to add screen readers a better support for BGT audioracer The only reason why you "can't" do some kind of standart Hello World in BGT is because there's no standart output like a console. But you can print a hello worl just like you did, or in a log file, or spoke as a tts sound URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=214568#p214568 ___ Audiogames-reflector mailing list Audiogames-reflector@sabahattin-gucukoglu.com https://sabahattin-gucukoglu.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/audiogames-reflector
