nice way of getting these voices without risking angering my mom for blowing my money:)my only sudgestion would be adding the childrens and emotional voices for acapella, and adding the other English accents (irish, Australian, indian, Scottish, south affrican) for vocalizer. I already got most of the vocalizer voices (or at least the scansoft versions) from an ancient version of jaws I had years ago, and got others like cate, grace, dave, etc. formerly owned by loquendo, from a friend of mine.

well, long thing to explain, but for me, I would do the melody as a midi file (I use qws) and right the lyrics in vocaloid that way. there is a whole discussion about vocaloid accessibility on these forums but it's heavily buried and predates vocaloid 4 so I don't know if that guide is still acurat.now to back on topic, I shal tell you about some other youtubers. for songs, check out kidsvidsscj, (kids vids scj) and randy sauer. for backing tracks, check out singing bell or atora karaoke (for the ladder, especially look at the karaoke for kids videos)and now for another link! this one is a zip of all the kids midis taken from hark the sound.https://www.dropbox.com/sh/1ee934m49hyp … bEZQa?dl=0

After the kickstarter is successful, I will send you a design sheet. It will be pretty similar to that one. The one you filled out will be ignored (since anyone can fill it out). You don't need any sort of visual reference for that tier. What I will do is after I collect all the monster sheets, I will design each monster visually, and send them back. If you're blind, you should indicate this when I'm distributing the sheets so I can describe the monster's design. Once both of us are satisfied, I will put it in the game.

Not trying to offend you here, but your argument makes no sense. Yes, Skullgirls might not be made specifically for the blind, but it is an accessible game. Steam is the biggest issue here, and we have a perfectly good and detailed guide on how to set it up and install games. Audiogames.net might have to change the _expression_ "games for the visually impaired" to "games accessible for the visually impaired", but is that seriously such a big deal? If, like I suggested, steam games are propperly tagged as such, people who don't want to accept Steam don't have to give a meow about it. They still may be accessible games (which by the way is not a synonim of audiogames) but they won't be made specifically for the blind. Which makes me ask myself why the site still says that, when we have games in the db like Adventure to Fate which are most definitely not made specifically for us

Ok, so maybe I'm wrong about partially accessible games not being allowed here. But, in my defense, in the past, I've seen Dark decline to allow a game to be announced on the forums because it had a CAPTCHA that wasn't usable by the visually impaired. I guess I took that to mean that partially accessible games weren't allowed.My feeling is that if audiogames.net is going to allow partially accessible games on the site and forum. It shouldn't promote itself as being about games for the visually impaired. I say that because if partially accessible games are allowed, who decides which games are listed and which are not, and just how inaccessible will a game be allowed to become before it is removed. audiogames.net should then promote itself as a source for information about audio games, but not for games accessible to the visually impaired since that won't necessarily be true anymore.I came here because audiogames.net was promoted as being 
 a source for information about games that would be accessible to me, if I now have to worry about partially accessible games and whether they are accessible enough for me to be able to play them without have to jump through all kinds of hoops or get sighted help, I'm sorry, I can no longer continue to use or recommend audiogames.net.

Blindndangerous - there is a feature on some menus that basically you press F1 and it tells you what accessibility options are available but I'm not done with it yet.I'll look into that bug right now. I'm also working on redoing the naming screen for accessibility mode to be more useful.

Hi. @rtr assasson I get what your saying, and could consider making things a little bit easier. However... This still doesn't excuse the cheating that's going on. Any game this will happen to, but I get what you are saying. Also just curious what you mean by advanced feature. Basicly the only big limit is 100 of an item in your inventory at once, as well as a couple other things, such as the gifts. Only curious. I will keep your suggestions in mind. also @ivan, I do make money from the stw store, but if people cheat, I won't make more. If I don't make more, the VPS goes bye bye along with stw. Also, it's not that I don't listen to people, I just ignore the people who say that this is stupid and that there leaving the game with out any reason/explination aside from the fact that money rases a limit now. If someone says a valid reason for not liking it, i'll listen. And if you look in one of my previous posts you'll see that I indeed said I wo
 uld be willing to possibly change limits a bit/pricing/what ever, but an agreement would have to be made before I could even consider that. I read every single post, have been at least sence this hole thing was posted. If people decide leaving the game is the only option with out even giving it a try after this paid thing, then I frankly don't care. I'd rather 3 players who are at least willing to reason with me rather than 500 that suddenly get all up into a storm of rage and say there not coming back.

Ok never mine, i've just defeated the bos. My strategy is to time to block the attacks then use dust storm and fidget.While fidget is attacking, it's a good time to damage it with large amounts of combos.And now, i am at the first chapter of the game. After i talk to all the peoples in aurora village, i go right in to the world map.I choose the last option and then i go right. I kill the normal enemy, and then i jump up the platform. A cutscene plays, introducing a new type of enemy. I kill the first one then i don't know what to do next part. Any tips on completing this chapter?

Everything takes money, they need to pay their rent It's not because they didn't get every cent, kickstarter doesn't work like that. If you don't reach 100% of the goal, you don't get a penny.It was going to cost much more to make than the kickstarter would have earned, and they had other investors interested. But from the sounds of it their other investors used the kickstarter as a barometer, and would not give them any funding as the kickstarter fail was evidence that there was insufficient demand for audio games for it to be a profitable investment.

Alright, I have stayed silent on this topic for a while, but I think a few things need to be stated. First, the huge reason why this game is plagued by hacking and cheating is because it is quite inconsistent in its design. This is very much the same thing that affected Ultrapower and ultimately brought it down. I can't begin to give examples of players who have hundreds of a particular item and I only have a handful. I might have three grenades, while someone else has over a hundred. The issue here is that half of the items in the game cannot be crafted and I've stated this before. So, it is only natural that people will be desperate to get gifts. Speaking of gifts, they are quite an annoyance because most of the time I end up with items I already have. Furthermore, items like marsh don't have any practical uses. So, the should either be redesigned or thrown out altogether.The second issue is gathering items in the first place. How many times have I wanted to
  build a net and had to spend over two hours collecting grass. I can only pick up one item per second, unless I use an item which can only be used once, like an energy drug, or food item. Then, I can pick things up faster, but that is probably some kind of exploit, which I don't really care about at this point. I don't cheat, but the game can feel slow at times, so I happen to just use it to my advantage every now and then. Increasing the speed at which items can be picked up can make the game more exciting. One suggestion is that the rate would depend on the weight of an item. Grass is light for instance, so you could pick lots of it quite fast. However, would, rocks, metal, and other heavier items would take longer to pick up.The crafting system itself is also quite frustrating. Imagine you have 100 dead rabbits. You want to prepare them, so you have to gut and skin them, which is actually the reverse of what you would really do. You have to spend a few minutes tak
 ing both steps, which results in opening your bag, hitting escape, and pressing t 200 times. It would be much easier if I could select a rabbit and repeatedly press t and do it all in one step. 100 rabbits sure can take a while, but at least I don't have to keep opening my bag as often.So, the best thing to do is to offer players a way to craft more items, allow them to complete objectives, or quests that could earn them coins, gifts, and other items, particularly ones that cannot be crafted, and perhaps get rid of randomly spawning items in the village shops, but that is up to you. I hope that this doesn't come off as too harsh, but it needed to be said, especially now that the game essentially has to be bought to unlock the more advanced features.

Hi Aaron.No I wasn't 100% sure but I remember them making updates then all of a sudden they said they didn't get enough money so no more 3 monkeys. I wish it wasn't so but I guess it's all over. It's too bad they made it sound really good. I never did care for the name though it didn't sound serious. What I can't figure out is they said they needed a whole lot of money to make things possible but they didn't get it so they just give up. Just because they didn't get every cent? And if it's impossible for them to make the game without the money how could something like shadow rine be made without all the fuss?

Definitely agree with you there. Jrpgs, even modern ones, seem to be keeping to the unvoiced formula almost as a genre classic staple, which I would agree with. There's just something about those scrolling dialog boxes... especially speaking as someone who grew up playing almost all mainstream games. lol And you did mention the western rpg market specifically... but frankly, I usually look at games from both western and eastern market. And better is definitely better!

Always remember to unzip the game if you don't it causes strange problems.@Aprone, thanks again for the game we need more racing games. So I tried the slots like 8 times, waiting for a minute on each wheel or so, and no chansey. Unless the chansey sound is randomized every time the slots are as well. From playing on a single slot machine for a long time I know that the slots are only generated when you actually enter the game corner. How long was the sequence of available things on the wheels? LIke 50 long or something? I tried to figure out where the sequence restarted but couldn't.Is there anywhere to go after seladin city in this version? I already checked out like underground path and stuff like that. I still need to obtain the gym badges, and find a way to win more slots because I wasted all my coins on new pokemon when I should have been buying tm's.

But beware! where success is possible there are also a lot of other players willing to whoop your ass and to saw your throne from underneed you so they can sit on it. but as long as you put reasonable amounts of time in your account, they wont attack that fast in my oppinion:http://www.tribalwars.netkapi-regnum:a city management game also in the mediëval world. build buildings, produce goods, sell them to the city-markets, the great market or per contract to other players. Hello,Here is my view on this. I realize I haven't been gaming as much as I usually do, so I might be a bit behind on this, so I accept corrections.I definitely think accessible Steam games deserve an entry in the database. Why? Because while this site *IS* called AudioGames.net, there are already a bunch of playable mainstream games in the database, and not of them are fully accessible. Here's an example. I recently got one of the Adventure to Fate games, which I found on *THIS* website. Is this a fully playable game? Yes, as far as I can see. But it is definitely not intuitive. A lot of buttons have double labels, one of which doesn't work. The screen never fully refreshes, so there are lots of leftovers from previous screens. It reuses widgets like crazy, so if you do two consecutive fights, your obtained items will look all weird and it is impossible to know which ones are new and which ones are just empty widgets that voiceover is reading wrong.And yet, this game has an entry.While I do realize the Steam client's accessibility is terrible, and that is Valve's problem, do the developers really have to pay for this? Steam is a good platform for developers to work with. We're a minority here. I'm sorry, but you can't expect Mike Z to release Skullgirls on Guide Dog Games, for example. That just won't work. Yes, I realize the steam client is terrible. But I have never, ever had a problem with accessibility within the game. A blind legend doesn't sem to have a single problem either.I'm not saying very game should be added. I'm not even saying most games should be added. Hell, maybe they should have their own separate page, or category, or some tag on them, something. But people who don't want to look through page and pages of posts deserve to know about games such as Skullgirls.The Steam client is not a game. The games within Steam are. And they're 
 what you're interested in. yes, you might have to use a workaround for the client. But is it possible? Is it worth it? Yes. I have more than 30 games on steam and there are a bunch of people that I know who have even more. And the whole  community deserves to have the choice of going through Steam to get access to these games.Thanks.

We had a rough timetable of when we were trying to see it released, but we haven't been able to keep up with it. We still have a rough timetable in mind but I'm hesitant to say any more, just because I don't want to make promises we can't kee. Even if I say, "We hope to release by X", but say it's not set in stone, then I know people will be disappointed if we don't release by X, so I'd just as soon wait and see. If we get to a point that we're comfortable making a more specific prediction, though, I'll definitely let you all know.

Hey Assault,In my experience, unvoiced NPCs are quickly becoming a thing of the past in the mainstream market - but my experience is admittedly limited. But when you look at games by Bethesda and Bioware, who I'd say are two of the biggest players in the western RPG market right now, they've had full dialogue for a long time.That said, we're not too concerned with trying to copy anything mainstream games are doing - after all, they have funding and resources we could only dream of. What we want to do is say, "What experience do we want players to have in this game?" Immersion - a sense of actually entering the world and taking part in it - was way up there on our list. And in our testing, it's become very clear to us just how much more immersive it is if people actually speak to you. That's really the driving force behind what we're doing.Couldn't agree more about quality vs. quantity. More isn't always better,

Hello,This is why I've taken so long thinking about whether I should, or shouldn't, add them, all of the issues listed above have also been on my mind.I agree, the Steam client itself is not the most accessible thing in the world. However, I can also say the same about Smugglers, which has a database entry and only seems to work properly with Supernova, the same can be said about the Japanese games working with NVDA the easiest.Also, here's the thing. Didn't some of the web games people discover have unlabeled buttons at first?The client definitely needs fixing, but it seems like without publicity Valve won't listen. With audiogames being on the rise, if we start to add some and then spread it to some gaming news sites (this is definitely possible if you contact them first) and say look, there are now some audiogames, valve need to step up, this might actually help. We tried a petition before but that didn't really work because
  the only game we had access to was Skullgirls. But now, we've got Skullgirls, the Choice of Games like Heroes Rise, Renpi, A Blind Legend, Grail to The Thief, the accessible games are going up. We don't have any of them listed anywhere though. OK they are on the forum but the topics could be all over the place.With database entries there are also kind of reviews which would describe how they are accessible. It could also lay the groundwork for the future because I actually think more and more independent devs are going to use Steam.Even with my optimism though, I'm still a bit on the fence, as I'm still worried that new users won't have a chance to even get logged in without sighted help. Plus those pesky captchas, no audio option as it currently stands, at all.

Sswwaaiikkee give this a try.  Open your progress.ini file and change the first number to either 2 or 3.  2 will be for window eyes and 3 is for Jaws.  Maybe Sapi is what is causing the game to crash, and if you change that number you can change the screen reader settings without actually needing to launch the game.I guess you were posting at the same time as me, haha.  Delete your progress.ini file when you get that error, it means it got corrupted when the game crashed.

To be fair, most npcs in mainstream rpgs do not have voiced dialog... if you play any games like yakuza, my favorite action rpg series, outside of the main characters, all of the npcs are voiceless except maybe, maybe, in some cutscenes. Shadow Line, my example rpg of choice from the audiogames market, is similar. Not every one of the interactable npcs in the game has a voice. Just a thought.  Quantity does not always equal quality... and I'll take 40 npcs and a well made game over hundreds of mpcs and amazing audio design with lackluster gameplay.

key - The slots are randomly generated when the room is loaded, it's possible that the slot you're using may not have any chansey. Try another slot machine or re-enter the game corner. (to be honest the game corner is really archaic but at least someone is able to make something out of it lol)

Yess, hopefully it is working, and it is working very well. I have to be honest with you that NVDA is working in its best ability and such speed and reliability I have never seen on NVDA, honestly. The clean copy resolved a lot of issues that I was facing. If it was for that satisfaction I was experiencing when I upgraded, I would truly never upgrade to windows 10. But hopefully it is as different as chalk and cheese now.

Seal,You have a good ear; the folks from Swamp were kind enough to offer up their footstep library way back when we started this project, as well as a couple of other UI sounds like the radar bleep we're currently using. I don't know that we're recycling any other sounds, offhand.As for first-person vs. top-down for RPGs, I'm sure it's a matter of personal taste. What we like about the first-person perspective is that it allows you to listen to the world from the player's perspective, making ambient sounds (and the game overall) far more immersive. Since the idea of an RPG is to step into a character's shoes (to "play their role", so to speak) we feel like the immersiveness of first-person sound is the best way to handle this. But that's just our take. What is it about top-down RPGs that you find preferable?

I am reading this really great one right now, called assimilation where the borg go through a wormhole and slowly assimilate the Star Wars galaxy. here is a small sample of one of my favorite parts. if you like it lets discuss it and i can post a link to the general website. The Death Star flew through hyperspace, and while it was in hyperspace, the beings that inhabited it were steadily being converted to the hive mind of the Borg. Some resisted, but it was, as the Borg had stated from the outset, futile. Assimilation of all crew aboard this vessel will be complete before arrival at planet with hyperspace designation 0-0-0. Estimate that there will be 60 opposing starships with the most advanced being Exalted-class Star Destroyers, catalogued as Technology A-15739. Shielding will be in place at the time that the ship reverts from hyperspace. Damage estimates are minimal to none. Work on creation of warp coil is progressing. Dilithium crystals used to power the primary weapon have been removed and are being re-amplified. Simulations suggest that the use of warp technology is possible within hyperspace. Testing of this theory will begin in smaller craft capable of holding both warp core and hyperdrive. Smallest suitable craft is a Lambda-class T-4a shuttle, Technology A-15854. Thanks for the questions, guys - let's see what I can answer:nuno69: Can you clarify what you mean by subtitles? Do you mean having the game speak in one language, but then having some sort of screen-reader-interactible text in a different language? I'm just not sure what exactly you're envisioning, so I don't want to give a misleading answer. We are however working toward a way that players can listen to the English voice acting but also have access to a text version of the voice caption, in whatever other languages are supported. That's all in the beginning stages, though, so I'm not promising anything.Regarding the question about updates and DLC - I'm actually very excited about this, as one of the major projects Ian has bee working on recently is improving the way we handle saved games so that we can in fact distribute updates to fix bugs and add content without breaking people's saves. At this point we don't have any s
 pecific DLC plans though I do have a couple of ideas for DLC packs that I'd be open to depending on the success of the game and how much interest there was in the community. But we'll definitely be able to update the game if people discover bugs, or if we find that something is seriously out of balance. Ian is awesome, and deserves a lot of credit for making this possible.As for the number of NPCs - no offense taken, and I'm not being defensive, I'm just curious: in this game you mention, are the NPCs fully voiced, or is their dialogue TTS? Are they all unique, or are they generic (a half dozen "Townsfolk" for example)? Can you actually have conversations with all of them? I definitely feel like our cast of characters is as large and well-developed as anything I've encountered in an accessible game, but I certainly haven't played everything that's out there. And we're always looking for games that can provide us with examples 
 of how we can improve. But that said, the cost of hiring voice-actors does create certain limitations, as the more NPCs you have, the more expensive things get. So if we get a ton more funding than we're expecting, you'll probably see a bump in the number of NPCs, as well as an increase in the complexity of their dialogue options - after all, every place that an NPC reacts differently depending on how you speak to them, or depending on certain actions you've taken earlier in the game, is just more dollar signs on the price tag of getting high-quality voice recording.Speaking of funding, a little update on that. I know I said we were working toard a Kickstarter project - and that's still in the works. But let me tell you the reason it's happening so much later than we expected. Basically, we've had to re-think our target audience. The truth is, we expect that a lot of blind players are going to be interested in the game and (hopefully) willing to 
 donate - and that's great. But as we all know, blind gamers make up a small percentage of the market. So what we really want to do is to get sighted people excited about what we're trying to do as well. A big part of that is getting a good promo video. Well, we're a couple of blind guys halfway across the country from one another - so obviously making any sort of video, let alone one of sufficient quality to attract donors, is something of a challenge. So we're working on trying to get something who can help us put something together, and then making it happen, so that we can run a campaign with the best chance of success.That's sort of the moral of the story with this game. I know some people are impatient, and I keep reminding them that nobody's more impatient than us. But our real desire is to take a step towards bridging the gap between accessible games and "mainstream" independent offerings - and that means we would much rather do 
 things well, and take a little more time, than do things in a hurry and risk the quality of the finished product. Time will tell if the wait pays off, but at least you know our philosophy.Ok, that turned into a really long post. Sorry. You need to guide the bomb to the right, and let it explode the wall. Then you have to go back, and drag a new bomb, jump up to the next platform where you blew up the wall, drag it to the right again and then blow up the second wall. That's how I remember it.Regarding the boss, hmm, I'm not sure since I didn't had any trouble with this part.

Actually, JAWS outperform NVDA in text processing, especially Microsoft Suite due to its video driver and ribben menu which NVDA ignore to innovate it.

can someone please recommend me some audiogames for android?

hello everyone...I just purchased a phone, it is basically a samsung j1 2016. The unike functional game I currently have installed, is the droidphlip thingy made by one of my skype friends ghorthalon the dragon (Kevin). I was wondering, does someone know about some other accessible ones? lifo works well on it, but it's kinda quite boring to play that thing without any sound. If someone could share me a list of them I'll thank them a lot.Btw, and this is off the topik of this thread, can someone please give me a manual, as well, of how to open ports? that is tcp and u dp. I myself have a domain, makiocento.com witch is still in progress, but my plan is to host an rtr server for spanish people, as they keep being overspammed and called green goes aka gringos and being kicked off the game. The point is to host the server thingy on the makiocento.com site, with any port that the game supports I hadn't read it at all, though I think is 6789 or something like

Hi makiocento. Welcome to the forum. This part of the forum is the offtopic room, ie, questions not!related to games. I'll therefore move this topic to the general games discussion room, where your also far more likely to get answers. I don't have an android phone myself, but off the top of my head there is stemstumper and spellstack, the games from vipgameszone such as mortalmaze, the gamebooks from delight games and choiceofgames, both their own originalss and the hosted games titles, also a version of the very good rpg a dark room.There is more I think but I'm afraid I can't recall exactly not being an android user myself, but there are some others around who likely can chip in and give more information.

Hi, I can tell you for one thing, if you clean install windows 10, it will act a lot better, and I do mean a lot better. IT fixes stuff with NVDA and slowness I experienced as well. But yeah, usually you don't get DLL complaints during installation, its usually after, when you go to start the program. That is strange indeed, I suspect a clean install of win 10 will fix this issue and I advise strongly of doing so, not just because of that, because it cleans things up, I never did like upgrades. And, you donn't have to worry about your win 10 and keys and stuff, so long as its activated now, it will be actiated when you clean install, MS uses server based activation. You will see it asking for a key 2 times during the installation process, you can click skip twice and once it is finished, it willbecome activated for you without you having to do anything extra.
