[BVARC] Volunteers Needed for Support - Hurricane Beryl

2024-07-09 Thread Mike Hardwick via BVARC
Sorry for the late notice but it has been a busy day. So
Many of you in the club have been asking about helping provide communications
for support for Hurricane Beryl relief. Here is you chance to provide that
support whether you are in ARES, RACES, or no group what-so-ever. As you can
see by Lee's e-mail, you can even use GMRS to help provide support.
Lee needs between 16 to 40 hams to work the 8 to 20 Points of Distribution
(PODs). The PODs are used to pass out food, water, clothing and other
necessities to families that were affected by Hurricane Beryl. I have worked
the PODs in the past and it is a great feeling helping people that have lost a
part of their lives due to a storm.
If you are interested and have the required equipment, please give Lee a call
346-246-8180 or send him an e-mail at leema...@me.com.
Give Lee a call if you would like to put your radio and license to a great use!

Re: [BVARC] local radio shop recommendations

No place locally to repair equipment. As for installs River Oaks is the only
one that I know of that is familiar with ham equipment. You can go to
commercial shops such as Bearcom, Northwest Communications, MCA, and Houston
Communications. Be prepared to pay $150 to $250 an hour for the installs.

[BVARC] 2024 Greater Houston HamFest - Its a Wrap!

2024-03-04 Thread Mike Hardwick via BVARC
The 2024 Greater Houston HamFest is done and dusted as my Aussie friends would
say. It was a great event and from what I have heard, everyone had a great time
over the two days. I want to mention that the Greater Houston HamFest was a
success due the great volunteers from BVARC. I want to thank everyone one of
you for your hard work. I know I will miss a few of you on this list but it is
due to a memory lapse and not ignoring you.

I do want to thank Rudy and Chris for their hard work on getting all the door
prizes donated this year. This is a great addition to the HamFest and one of
the main attractions.
Many of the vendors came to me and said it was a great event. They had a
wonderful time and did well on their sales and will be back again. I received
an e-mail I would like to share with everyone:

Hello Mike,

I just wanted to drop you an email to say THANK YOU for all your efforts in
making the Greater Houston Hamfest successful and working with MASTRANT to get
us set up.I know there was a bit of confusion going in but you took care of
everything and it was a great show for us. The entire team was professional,
enjoyable, and easy to work with. The team did a great job taking care of the
vendors and stopped by on several occasions to check with me. I served on the
HAMCOM Staff for 28 years so I am well aware ofthe amount of time and work that
goes into a show and I feel like your team did an excellent job and look
forward to going back next year. I have only been with MASTRANTfor about 7
months and this was my 5th show and by far the most financially rewarding sales
wise. I have copied MASTRANT on this email so that they will have
theinformation as well.

THANK  YOU for all your efforts to make this a great show,

This e-mail is just a sample of what I heard on the work that everyone did to
make the event a success.
Our new equipment vendor, Ham Radio Outlet loved their new location in the
building and plan to be there next year. All in all, the vendors felt the
Greater Houston HamFest was a great success.
This year we had five prizes in the main raffle. We had a great selection of
prizes and two thousand tickets were sold. Our winners were:
1s Prize - Yaesu FTDX-10Bob Ewers K9HOU

2nd Prize - Yaesu FTM500DRJohn Johnston, K5EBQ
3rd Prize - Yaesu FT-70DRStephen Darsey, N5PMB
4th Prize - Nano VNABrit Burk, N5QVS
5th Prize - Yaesu FT4-XRAndre Pollard, KJ5EJC

Again, thanks to all the volunteers, the speakers, our key note speaker Riley
Hollingsworth, and John Stratton ARRL West Gulf Division Director. Your help
and insight helped make the 2024 Greater Houston HamFest a great success!
Check the hamfest later this week for the 2025 dates!

The Greater Houston HamFest is only two days away from opening its doors
this Friday at noon. Please come out to enjoy the event Friday and Saturday
with the various vendors from across Texas and surrounding states.

Ham Radio Outlet will be back again this year so please stop by their

other vendors and sellers who attend the Greater Houston HamFest making the
event the largest in Texas.

Don't forget to stop by and visit the rocket, drone and UAV display in Bldg

[BVARC] Volunteers Needed - Greater Houston HamFest

2024-02-25 Thread Mike Hardwick via BVARC

Volunteers Needed – Greater Houston HamFest

Needing volunteers for two critical areas.

1.   Table Set-up and Tear-down

A scheduling conflict has recently arisen with the group whoset up the tables
and the podium at the Greater Houston HamFest.  Three to four people are needed
to do thiswith it taking 2 to 3 hours for setup and about 2 hours to teardown.
The critical time is the setup.  You are not necessarily being asked to
helpwith both setup and teardown.

Setup tentatively will take place between about 10 and 1 onthis coming
Thursday, February 29 (the day before the actual Hamfest starts).  These 3
hours can be varied if tooinconvenient.  Someone will be there mostof the day
tending to this and other pre-hamfest work; In addition to the 2 – 3hours for
table setup, we need other volunteers for an hour or two at any timethroughout
that day (Thursday).  Teardownstarts immediately after the Hamfest ends at 3PM,
Saturday, March 2.  If you can help, please contact Mike Hardwick,N5VCX at
n5...@att.net or at 713-826-6917.

2.  Loading and Unloading

To help both vendors and support for the hamfest, volunteersare needed to help
load and unload vehicles. Some of the areas needed aresupport for Robert
Polinski with the PA system, HRO unloading their truck, HAMWEARSunloading their
vehicle and several other vendors. The time on this starts onThursday at 9 am
and continues off and on throughout the hamfest.

If you can spare 15 to 30 minutes Thursday, Friday or Saturdayin the morning or
afternoon, it will really be beneficial. If you can help, pleasecontact Mike
Hardwick, N5VCX at n5vcx@att.netor at 713-826-6917.

Re: [BVARC] COLLINS S LINE SET UP

2024-02-17 Thread Mike Hardwick via BVARC
 John,
There is a Collins S line group on Facebook and I believe they can give you the
info you are looking for.
This would be better than lugging stuff around and fighting with low ballers.

I am looking for some advice on the potential value of a complete S Line setup.

The club KARS has been donated this by a very active ham who went silent key
and we are looking to offload it.

I have couple of photos here and the equipment is available for inspection at
our lockup. There is one other power unit with a phone patch !!!

I will most likely take some more photos and take them along to HAMFEST as its
heavy stuff to carry around and I have no clue as to the total value and want
to try and avoid low ballers.

Re: [BVARC] BVARC BoD Meeting

2024-01-31 Thread Mike Hardwick via BVARC
The ZOOM meeting is open to all BVARC members. It is not meant to hide or
deceive. The ZOOM meetings allow the BOD and members to meet without driving
and makes better use of a person's time.
The question of having a face-to-face meeting was voted on again in 2022 and
ZOOM was approved. It can be brought up again in a future BOD meeting.

[BVARC] Misplaced Club Equipment

2024-01-23 Thread Mike Hardwick via BVARC
As Winter Field Day fast approaches, equipment is being gathered for a
successful event. Unfortunately a couple of items appear to be missing - a set
of HF splitters, cables and a case. If anyone remembers where the splitter may
be hiding, please let myself, Bill W5VOM, Kori WX5KR or Anthony W5LIC know.
The last time they were seen was the ARRL Field Day last June. They were in a
black case with BVARC stenciled on the lid.

Re: [BVARC] BVARC Awards Banquet - Update

2024-01-12 Thread Mike Hardwick via BVARC
Thank you Eddie for the compliment. However, there are so many people that
work hard for the club and the hobby I cannot take all the credit. A list of
the club members that are active in the club functions are:
Kori WX5KR    Club Vice President, KK5W Call Sign Trustee and POTA

Then there are volunteers for the different groups - food prep at the general
meetings; VE's; GHHF volunteers; newsletter contributors; NET controls and many
more. I know I am missing a number of people but that isn not on purpose, just
a limited supply of neurons.

All of these people help make the club. I have, in the past, tried to do as
much as I can since I have a bad habit of not asking for help. But more and
more people are helping do things for the club and it is becoming difficult to
keep track of everyone. I want to thank everyone that helps with the club and
the hobby. Without you, amateur radio would no longer be around.

If the banquet is a distinctive occasion meant for acknowledging individuals,
it's imperative that we choose an elegant venue with excellent cuisine,
steering clear of a casual gathering at the local cafeteria. The lack of

out of town or unable to drive.

BVARC is transitioning to prioritize catering for events, consistently
encountering concerns related to the quality of food, particularly during
meetings or special occasions. Labeling an event as an "Annual Banquet" should
inherently hold a sense of uniqueness and significance.

If cost is a primary consideration, it is suggested to organize informal
gatherings for cost-effective dining experiences with friends at the local
cafeteria. Given the substantial financial investments made in Ham Radio
equipment, it's perplexing to fret over a mere $35 annual expenditure for
special events.

Re: [BVARC] banquet oVeRpRiCeD?

2024-01-11 Thread Mike Hardwick via BVARC
Actually the pricing was set-up several years ago to make Banquet
self-supporting and that is how is has been for the last several years.
As for the past venues, let me bring up some of the issues that people said
about those top venues
Maggianos - Crowded, food delivered cold, wrong orders, food taking too long to
bring out to the table, expensive, not the best for the price to name a few.
The JW Marriott (this was one of the best places, it is a great place to a hold
banquet) - portions were small for the price, space was limited,
With the comments about having the Awards Banquet, it seems like more people
would be happy with something as local cafe or cafeteria. This is something
that I do not connect to a banquet.

BVARC..
So that means the meal we had last year (or what was planned for this year)
shouldbe a $50 value..!!
The club and the fellowship and the fun we had at last years banquet was
probably worth$50 (to me).. But not the food...  And heck the venue probably
didnt cost us a thing last year.
THE TOP PAST VENUES ARE
The Marriot in sugarland  andMagianos near the Galleria
Folks can check the past newsletters if they forget all the places we have had

PLUS, I have also heard that some folks may want to attend and NOT EAT

[BVARC] BVARC Awards Banquet - Update

2024-01-08 Thread Mike Hardwick via BVARC
I want to let everyone know that even though it was a great effort, we did not
meet the minimum for the caterer for the BVARC Awards Banquet. So at this time
the banquet on the 18th is cancelled. For those members that paid via PayPal,
their money will be refunded. Those that paid by check, the check will be
mailed back to you. If you have not received your refund by the end of January,
please send me an e-mail at n5...@att.net
It is unfortunate about the cancellation but the banquet is not going away.
Over the next few days a survey will be e-mailed to all members to see just
what everyone would like to do for an awards banquet. The survey will only a
few questions:
1. Would you like to have the banquet at a restaurant or have it catered?2.
What type of food would you like to have?3. What day of the week would you like
the banquet held?4. What kind of price range would be acceptable for you for
the banquet - $15 to $20, $20 to $25, $25 to $30 or $30 to $35?
Hopefully we can get enough responses in over the next few weeks so a new
banquet can be held sometime in the last half of March.
When you get the survey, please consider your answers carefully and
constructively. Club members input is what keeps the club going.

imagine that ham radio was an interesting activity for young men, just like
automobiles in the 1910s, 20s, 30s.  And nothing's changed where of course,
girls were a constant topic.  They weren't "girls" back then, but maybe "gals"
and more properly they were Young Ladies.  And the young men teased each other
if they were too fogey, too "not with it".  Far from being nerds, young men
interested in cars and radio were cool, in today-speak.  And if you were not
cool, you were an old man.  Think British.  They commonly teased each other by
calling each other "old man".  You've heard that, right?
So the fellows called themselves OM, sort of poking fun at themselves and at
each other.  And if a man was unmarried and he was looking, he was looking for
a Young Lady... a single lady, not a married one.
So if you said to a friend, "hey old man, have you seen this new young lady
around town?  I think her name is Ann. Do you know anything about her?"And then
if he replied, "yeh old man, stay away from her, she's Bud's wife (or fiancee
or ..) -- she's no longer a young lady (not single), she's an Ex- Young Lady."
I can see that being a joke that became a meme.  There were YLs and so it would
be funny to call the claimed ones "Ex".  Not about age.  About availability.
Contrary to some misunderstandings, originally YLs and XYLs are not just
females in the ham fraternity, or married to hams, it just means YL=Available
Women and XYL=Unavailable Women (either claimed or married).
I was mostly hamming in the 1960s, and this is what I picked up reading and
listening back in that day.. .and when I came back to ham radio in 2000 I
noticed people were afraid of offending wives if they called them XYL.  No.  It
wasn't Ex as in No Longer Young.  But they heard the EX modified "young" so it
must mean "old".  Not originally, anyway.  But times change.  People get
offended by language they don't understand -- so they try to be "correct".  It
is a quaint old custom to call each other OM... It was a fun way the young men
of the early 20th century calling each other out if they behaved too staid and
proper, instead of adventurous and young-minded.  So OM is ok with me --
doesn't mean we are old.. it's just tradition.
BTW, chasing DX on CW it was common to address each other as DR OM which meant
Dear OM.  That's another quaint custom that seems to confuse people and has
been lost mostly except maybe internationally sometimes.  We are afraid if we
say Dear OM there's a sexual overtone?  Come on.  Go read old letters addressed
between business people.  Even today it is proper to address a letter "Dear
Sir:"..   There's a reason for that.  We've probably all been taken wrongly in
an email or text when someone mistakens our tone... maybe they think we are
sarcastic or angry or pedantic even when we are just trying to make factual
statements.  That has ALWAYS been a problem with language that is not face to
face, where you can read the other one's countenance, the emotionless text can
be misconstrued.  So the "Dear" and the "very truly yours" language was
customary to lighten the speech.
So how do I know all these things?  You can take my facts to the bank.  After
all, most of what I think I know I learned from listening to myself talk.

Young LadyThe term "Young Lady" derives from a Morse code abbreviation, YL,
that is used to refer to female amateur radio operators, regardless of age. (As
male operators of any age are addressed as OM or "old man", the non-licensed

The meal tickets are on sale to members and non-members. The prices are
different ($35 vs $50), follow the appropriate link for non-members and your

PayPal links are there).
Thanks so much for reaching out and for your willingness to support this club

Hello BVARC members and friends,
I wanted to jump in here with another push for folks to sign up and support the
banquet. It's a very important event throughout the history of the club, and
it's looking like we may have to change our plans this year if we don't have
enough banquet reservations. I know that many of our members have reasons that
prevent them from attending. I absolutely understand that, and regardless we
thank you all for being members. If you can make it out we would really
appreciate having you join us at the banquet. We will move forward one way or
another, but I hope we can get at least another dozen or more to sign up so we
can follow through with the event at Bayland Community Center, and honor those
who have helped out with the club and the hobby.
Please get in your nominations before Sunday (you don't have to attend the
banquet to provide those), and I hope to see many of you at the banquet. Have a
great weekend, and again, thank you all for supporting the club by being
members and hanging out with us at our events. 73!
Again the awards up for nominations are below and the links to sign-up for the
banquet dinner are on the homepage at BVARC.org. The extended deadline is
Sunday January 7th.
The Loop and Zepp Award - This award is presented to the club member that has
exhibited outstanding service in HF operation and use.

The K1JT Award - This award is presented to the club members that have
exhibited outstanding service in VHF and above operation and use.

The Dr Bill Award - This award is presented to the club member that has
exhibited outstanding service as a Volunteer Examiner.

The Order of the Key Award - The club’s highest award. This award is presented
to the one club member that has exhibited outstanding service for the club and
amateur radio.

Send your nominations to Mike Hardwick N5VCX or any other board member to be
counted.

 Hi all,
I'm looking for 25+ish feet of rg8x or similar /better lighter weight 50ohm
coax to complete the run going from my tuner to the antenna. This will allow me
to go from my mobile setup to a fixed position and back again.
If anyone has some scrap laying around they're willing to let go of I would be
grateful. If the coax has one or no connectors that's fine, i only need one end
with a pl259 and the other bare and can attach my own if needed.
I'll come to you or meet wherever.
Also is there some place local that sells decent quality coax? It's a bummer
trying to get this stuff shipped and I would prefer to shop local when I can.

On Wednesday, September 19th, Centerpoint Energy will be doing power line

will be out from 8 am to 2 pm.
The 94 repeater does have back-up battery power but it will only last
approximately 4 hours. You can tell when the repeater is on battery back-up
since there will be a beep in the middle of the person that is talking's audio.

The repeater will be left on to test how long it will operate on the batteries.

 Tropical Weather Outlook
NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL
800 PM EDT Mon Aug 21 2023

For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:

Active Systems:
The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical
Storm Franklin, located over the east-central Caribbean Sea, on
Tropical Depression Gert, located a few hundred miles east of the
northern Leeward Islands, and on Tropical Depression Nine, located
over the west-central Gulf of Mexico.

1. Eastern Tropical Atlantic (AL92):
Disorganized showers and thunderstorms located a few hundred miles
west of the Cabo Verde Islands are associated with a tropical wave.
Environmental conditions appear generally conducive for gradual
development of this system, and a tropical depression is likely to
form later this week while it moves west-northwestward across the
eastern tropical Atlantic.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...medium...40 percent.
* Formation chance through 7 days...high...70 percent.

2. Central Tropical Atlantic:
The remnants of former Tropical Storm Emily are located over the
central tropical Atlantic about 1300 miles east-northeast of the
Leeward Islands with minimal associated shower activity.
Environmental conditions could become more conducive for

What kind of receiver are you using?
Is the receiver set for wide FM or narrow?
What kind of antenna?
How tall is the antenna?
If directional, what is the azimuth?

Re: [BVARC] Soldering Rosin Core

2023-06-29 Thread Mike Hardwick via BVARC
A couple of points:

Don’t use acid core.
60/40 or 63/37 are good ratios
You can even use the no lead solder
.4 to .8 mm for SMD
.8 mm and up for everything else

Some of the points are personal preference. Check the web. There is a ton of
info.

Looks like a nice radio but one question, WHY would you need or want cross band
repeat on an HT?  I’ve used that feature before in a RL emergency condition as
well as with our work with the ’96 Paralympics but I used a mobile car radio
with the 50 watts out.  We were having issues with having to use the full power
modes on the HT’s and draining the batts on them really quickly.  Being able to
switch to low power on the HT’s extended our “excursion” times a great deal.

Maybe someone else would have an idea where this would be handy?

Re: [BVARC] 146.940 Repeater Problems and Repeater Operation

2023-06-17 Thread Mike Hardwick via BVARC
I want to update everyone on the outcome of the stuck mic problem on the
repeater yesterday.
First, I want to thank everyone that helped out on trying to locate the stuck
mic. Several people, both club members and non-members took time on trying to
find the offender. The information that I sent out helped in some ways in
locating the transmitter. However it was discovered even with the "best"
information, the tried and true method on signal strength searching worked very
well (one comment from one of the searchers is that the incident was a good
test/training on finding problems like this).
Second, I want to remind everyone they need to set their time-out timers on
their radios. The radio feature can prevent 99% of the stuck mic problems,
especially one like yesterday that lasted over 5 1/2 hours. Also by setting
their timer to 3 minutes this will coincide with the repeater 3 minute timer
making sure no one runs over the limit.
The offenders radio equipment was checked and it is unknown why it just
starting transmitting. It was determined that the timer was not set but it was
also found that the removable control heard was loose and was causing
intermittent connection issues.
So you could say that it was an equipment error and even if the timer was set,
it may have not made a different in this case (that's the 1%).
So that means I need to get a new radio for the house!
Thanks again for everyone's help! If anyone has any questions, please send me
an e-mail direct.

Upon further investigation, the stuck mic appears to be near the Memorial and
Eldridge area.

If anyone knows any one near that area, have them check their radios for a
stuck mic.

Currently the repeater is turned off due to a stuck mic. The problem started
just before noon and the Stir Crazy NET and is still happening after two hours.

It appears the offender is in the SW Houston area somewhere between Westpark
and Interstate 10, and between Interstate 610 and Highway 6 area.

It does appear to be a base station since there is no mobile fluttering and
there has been a telephone heard in the background several times.

If anyone knows of somebody in that area that has base station, please give
them a call and have

I will send out more information on this shortly.

I will be giving a Zoom presentation for BVARC on-the-air event volunteers on
Sunday May 14th 6pm-8pm, and again on Monday May 15th 6pm-8pm. To clarify, it
will be the same presentation both nights, so please attend whichever one is
most convenient for YOU.

If you are interested in being a volunteer to help at our events (such as Field
Day and Parks on the Air), this will be essential training.
There will be at least 4 different training activities before Field Day to get
all of our volunteers ready to operate the stations, to help set up and
breakdown, and most importantly: to be able to talk to all of the general
public and new hams who come to these events and get them on the air!
Sunday and Monday will be BVARC Spec-Ops Training #1. In this presentation, I
will cover the following:
   - What is Field Day and POTA?
   - Approaching and talking to the general public and new hams.
   - Safety and politeness in ham radio.
   - Operating on HF: band plans, operator etiquette, hunting vs calling CQ,
Q-codes.
   - Exchanges for Field Day and POTA.
   - Logging, log file types, and uploading logs to QRZ and POTA.app
   - Basic HF Radio settings you need to know.
   - A little about impedance.
   - Connectors and cable basics.
   - Special considerations for multi-radio HF operations.
   - Fielding questions about Field Day and POTA and getting familiar with all
of the great stuff BVARC does.
Lots of extra study material will be provided for those interested in more
detailed and technical training beyond the scope of this lecture. I only have 2
hours, so I will cover the basics. As always I will be available for questions
after the presentation or any time via email, on the air, or by phone.
After Training #1, comes... BVARC Spec-Ops Training #2! That training will
cover digital modes for Field Day and POTA, a few other important digital
modes, and a little more technical detail not covered in Training #1.
BVARC Spec-Ops Training #3 will cover the technical details of the antenna
systems we use for Field Day and POTA. Our resident antenna expert Rick Hiller
(W5RH) will be covering this, so I will let him outline his presentation for us
when he has that prepared. Depending on time and the feedback I get, we may
cover some more technical details as well.
BVARC Spec-Ops Training #4 will be an in-the-field lab / TEST DAY. We will
bring out all of the necessary multi-radio operation equipment, and all of the
volunteers will be trained and tested on their ability to set up each radio,
filter, battery, multiplexer, dummy load, antenna, and so on. We will also do
real POTA exchanges and mock Field Day exchanges while practicing logging using
N1MM and HAMRS. BVARC members who attend all training sessions and successfully
pass these tests will be provisional members of the BVARC Spec-Ops team. Once
provisional members of the BVARC Spec-Ops team put in 12 hours at BVARC on the
air events (Field Day, POTA, WFD etc.), they will be awarded the title BVARC
Spec-Ops team member. I'm still working

[BVARC] General Meeting May 11th - RSVP for Food

2023-05-06 Thread Mike Hardwick via BVARC
The BVARC general meeting is coming up in just a few days so I want to make
sure there is enough food for the members coming out to the meeting. I have
received a few RSVP's but unfortunately some of them did not indicate whether
they wanted to eat or not.
So if you would like to have a BBQ baked potato Thursday night, please send me
an e-mail letting me know. I also need to the people that responded earlier to
resend their answer. I need to get the answer no later than Monday. I did
mention earlier about a Wednesday deadline but that will be too late for the
cooking team to make adjustments to the food purchase. I apologize if this
caused any convenience with anyone.
I also did not list a full menu so here it is:
Baked PotatoYour choice of BBQ sausage or BBQ BrisketSour creamCheeseBacon
BitsChivesButterBlack Beans
There will be chocolate chips cookies and maybe another desert as well. And as
always, water and soft drinks.
So come on out for a good time at the May11th general meeting for information
on Museum Ships Weekend, have some good food and something new - "ham radio
trivial pursuit"!

Re: [BVARC] Do you have a Yaesu FTDX10 or Icom 7300 radio?

2023-03-10 Thread Mike Hardwick via BVARC
The best bet is to go out to a Parks on the Air event. There will be different
radios at the location that should help.
You can check the BVARC.org website for more info.

While i have watched many you tube videos on these radios, I am a hands on kind

If you have either of these radios, and are willing to help out a new person my

[BVARC] 2023 Greater Houston HamFest

2023-03-05 Thread Mike Hardwick via BVARC
Well, the 2023 Greater Houston HamFest is finally behind us. The only word I
can say about the event is - WOW. With everyone's planning and hard work over
the last six months, the event truly knocked it out of the ball park and was an
unbelievable success. You could have not asked for a better 20th anniversary
event with everything that happened. From the great weather to the great food
to the, and this is the big one, the over 1200 attendees to the GHHF, the event
was huge accomplishment!

More details will be sent out later this week about the GHHF but for now I
wanted to get this e-mail out now thanking everyone for their great work.

To get started on the right foot for next GHHF, mark your calendars for the
"postmortem" which will be held on March 19th at 4 pm. The format (in person or
zoom) will be determined the closer we get to the date.

And mark your calendar for the 2024 GHHF which will be held on March 1st and
2nd at the Fort Bend County Fairgrounds.

Everyone should give themselves a pat on the back for a great job for the 2023
Greater Houston HamFest!
It was truly one for the record books.
