[Care2002-developers] DICOM tag modification and routing tool

2016-12-11 Thread Ap.Muthu
https://sourceforge.net/projects/primal-rad
DICOM tag modification and routing tool
PRIMAL can be used to route, modify and store DICOM Radiology image files.

Typically this tool is put between a image acquisition station (modality) and a
PACS to route images and modify the DICOM tags in ways that are not easy to do
on the acquisition station but needs to be done prior to the study arriving at
the PACS.

PRIMAL is designed to turn a Fedora or Redhat Linux server into a DICOM routing
appliance. Most information can be viewed through the web interface.

[Care2002-developers] South Australia badly needs Care2X to bail Govt Hospitals

2016-06-21 Thread Ap.Muthu
http://www.abc.net.au/news/2016-06-18/software-legal-battle-could-put-sa-patients%27-safety/7522934
The system called, CHIRON, is used at 64 country health sites in South
Australia, including at the Mount Barker Hospital.

In technology terms, the program is ancient and based on the MS-DOS
platform. It was installed in SA hospitals in the early 90s.

In the Federal Court CHIRON's maker Working Systems demanded the State
Government stop using it because the licence expired in March last year.

The CHIRON matter is listed for trial in December.

Case for implementing Care2X in whatever form it is now.

Anyone game? Need political clout in SA.

  Hi everyone!
  How do we update a Care2x database table when the system is already installed.
  I came to realize that some of the fields though available in the module
class (e.g. class_lab.php) but are missing in the actual tables associated with
the class.
  I want to be able to update the tables after the instance has been installed.
  Any pointers will be highly appreciated!

You will need an ERD of your existing SQL Server based solution's database(s).
Do a 1:1 mapping of the fields ther and in Care2x v2.7 and migrate the data
(using joins and cocatenations where needed).
See what's missing in each and try to amke a comparision list.
Then work on the missing parts in Care2X.

  Although the process for attending patients, is basically the same, the way we
  entering the laboratory data differs considerably.

  Most hospitals in Argentina are charitable (free and open), in my work
entered between 150 and 200 patients each day orders, with 15 and 30 per order
analysis,
  although some can reach 500 to 1000 or more orders daily.

  Because most hospitals are not computerized, the LIS (Laboratory Information
System) in their majority are not connected to the rest of the hospital.

  It is in the laboratory where the patient is admitted, the requesting
physician, place of
  origin, medical service that comes, location if inpatient, possible
diagnosis, pathology,
  symptoms or syndromes, etc, etc. and then the analyzes requested.

  Often laboratory must first log into the system and assign many physicians,
assign patients the clinical history number providing by the physician, to thus
be able to perform the monitoring of these patients.

  So on for each laboratory orders.

  The current design is inappropriate for such use. It is advisable to do so
from one or two screens with several tabs (as we do with closed or proprietary
LIS).

  With regard to the billing, being most charitable hospitals, it is not
necessary
  pay anything, so at this stage we can skip the authorization.

  I do not want to dwell now talking about billing of analyzes made, but in my
opinion should be a complement or submodule of laboratory and provide
sufficient modularity to each hospital or health institution you use.

  Billing mode will depend if collected before or after performing the analysis
and
  if you charge the cost to patient or others (an organization).

  The way the results are enter to different database tables differ much.
  Also the validation of patient data and the overall operation is much more
complex.
  The laboratory design is not very modular, the tables are created in some
other place,
  there is no a menu with own laboratory options , etc, etc.

  The complexity of the laboratories can vary greatly, microbiology, genetics,
bank
  Blood may or may not be inside the lab, then it should be configured from the
  laboratory module.

  Sorry for the extension, but tried to give a frame of reference to be
understood.

  I am at your disposal for any clarification you need.

  best regards
  ---
  Alejandro

  Hello Alejandro , how are you ?
  We have care2x working in a number of hospitals in East Africa , most
notably in Tanzania (where I'm from).
  We did quite a number of modifcations to Radiology and Laboratories to link
them with billing which was one of the challenges of the mainline version of
care2x.
  Im currently looking at how to customize the theatre module and link it to
billing.

  I don't think the procedures for attending patients in Argentina and Tanzania
differ very much , but even if they do there is still room for customization.
  I m still looking at ways to make it a secure and reliable HMIS .

  I have setup a care2x demo online at

  Hello everyone

  Few years ago I stoped of closely follow to Care2x.
  The main problematic was that the laboratory modules, rays and to a
lesser extent pharmacy
  (Because here usually is separate, with its own system) did not conform
to the shape of use
  in Argentina and from what I have understood either in hispanoamerica.

  After almost 10 years of failing to implement it, I return to try again
and I see that the situation does not
  has changed significantly; Care2xAr, OpenHIS, Salux, BioLinux and JR seem
to have disappeared
  without a trace ...

  The inevitable question is:
  Does anyone know if there is indeed Care2x running somewhere in Argentina?

  It is a crucial question because it depends on the adoption or
implementation of Care2x from
  zero of the modules mentioned, or do it with another approach and
probably not compatible
  with Care2x.

  If I remember correctly ... few years ago, Elpidio and others did not
agree to make important
  changes to adapt laboratory and radiology modules... and the only options
was
  turn it into a local version without acceptance by the central project or
let it die.

  Before returning to comprehensively examine the source code to assess its
viability, I would
  like someone to answer my question ...

  greetings to all

Please look at the DICOM code and compiled applet in the Proxmox container at:
http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Care2x

It is quite some time since I worked on it and from what I remember, the dicom
viewer was compiled by Sjeldja on a win32 machine that had absolute paths on
his machine and did not work on linux where relative paths are needed. I had
re-compiled it them and submitted it - check the git/svn/cvs of about Oct 2010
vintage or earlier.

  Hello all,
  I need your help to solve a problem that I have in the DICOM viewer in
Care2x,

  the problem is when I upload a photo to the Care2x system and try to view it,
the viewer starts, but all I get is a black screen with nothing in it, I don't
know what is the problem, I tried DICOM pictures samples from different sites
but it is the same problem for all the pictures, can you help me and tell me
what could be the problem? could it be that the DICOM pictures are corrupted?

  I really would appreciate help,
  thanks in advance.

  This was a serious request, not aimed just to Moye. Lots of people
  appear interested in this branch, but nobody ever gets killed in the
  stampede to help out cleaning it up. Most of the work does not require
  a high degree of programming knowledge. Most of the issues are things
  that are duplicated throughout the code, and the same solution just
  needs applying to each instance of the problem.

  Am happy to write a tutorial on how to do all this, but only if there
  is sufficient interest.

  Thanks

  Just to keep everyone informed, we have continued on the job of cleaning
  up this code, removing thousands (literally) of unnecessary files, sorting
  some bugs, fixing functions that have become deprecated in recent versions
  of PHP, and adding some Ugandan info.

  With the help of Gjergj I have pushed the branch to the sourceforge git
  repository, so it can be accessed here:

  http://sourceforge.net/p/care2002/code/ci/EastAfrica/tree/

  and from my own github repository here:

  To all users and contributors of care2x,

  Over recent years there has been some great things happening in web
  development ecosystems with many great new technologies coming along.

  The care2x code through it's various versions and forks has helped
  hospitals worldwide to move to a new way of managing patient data and
  the hospital workflow, and did so whilst being completely open source.

  However as with any good software it's time for the old

[Care2002-developers] Hospital Costs Database

2013-07-20 Thread Ap.Muthu
New public database shows hospital billing charges all over the map:
http://www.health.harvard.edu/blog/new-public-database-shows-hospital-billing-charges-all-over-the-map-201305106231

US Medicare Provider Charge Data:

http://www.cms.gov/Research-Statistics-Data-and-Systems/Statistics-Trends-and-Reports/Medicare-Provider-Charge-Data/Inpatient.html

This database also lists the Hospital Details which can be used for marketing
/ testing out Care2x.

Whilst normally every product/service you buy has a price, Medical care does
not seem to have any such maximum retail price and is just "crazy" depending
on who and where you are - the worst form of daylight robbery.

Expect that Care2x will relieve patients of such misery that when they survive
the operation they do not die of (and/or paying for) the bills.

Re: [Care2002-developers] sf.net updated, please check out the svn project fresh to continue

2012-09-18 Thread Ap.Muthu
Thanks Robert.

That is exactly what I was doing. The mistake was the last part of the URL -
"trunk" folder does not exist in the "svn" folder but exists in each of the
"svn" subfolders like "care2x" and "care2x-tz"

In the example sf user "dave" (and sf password) case it would be:

svn+ssh://d...@svn.code.sf.net/p/care2002/svn care2002-svn

or for individual repos in separate folders:
svn+ssh://d...@svn.code.sf.net/p/care2002/svn/care2x care2002-svn-care2x
svn+ssh://d...@svn.code.sf.net/p/care2002/svn/care2x-tz
care2002-svn-care2x-tz

Please place this example on the SF page or elsewhere prominently displayed
to avoid needless badgering of the mailing list.

I have placed a similar page (for their Mercurial Repo access) on the
FrontAccounting (another SF project) Wiki at:
http://frontaccounting.com/fawiki/index.php?n=Devel.MercurialUsage

[Care2002-developers] Medical Image Viewer

2012-03-02 Thread Ap.Muthu
Anyone using Medical Image Viewer (MIView) ?
http://www.gbooksoft.com/

  a.. 2D/3D DICOM to 3D Nifti/Analyze
  b.. 2D DICOM to Raster
  c.. 3D Nifti/Analyze to 2D/3D DICOM
  d.. 2D Raster to 2D DICOM
Dicom and Nifti/Analyze store their images in different ways. Both can
contain 3D images in a single file, but DICOM can contain 3D images across
multiple files or in a single 2D file (mosaic).

Re: [Care2002-developers] Care2x 2.6.27 released now

2012-01-05 Thread Ap.Muthu
Hi Robert,

Separate database for plugin applications that rely on views of tables in
Care2X main db with mainly read only access and sometimes restricted
read-write access into parent tables could be a way forward for integration
of Weberp, etc.

Thanks for your insights into usage of views Robert. I have also used quite
a few pseudo tables exclusively of mysql user variables alone, joined to
real tables to access previous and records data along with current records
data for cumulative totalling and missing id in a sequence sort of work.

A free ebook is available at a university in China:
http://www.eduunix.ccut.edu.cn/index/pdf/O'Reilly%20-%20MySQL%20Cookbook.pdf
It is quite old though.

http://datacharmer.org has a nice set of MySQL query solutions.

Re: [Care2002-developers] Care2x 2.6.27 released now

2012-01-03 Thread Ap.Muthu
Hi Robert,

Guilty not able to contribute for so long.
Kudos to all of you for keeping the torch burning along

While you are making the next release, check to see if there is any old SQL
construct set used to check if a record exists before choosing to insert or
update record(s) in a table. The REPLACE syntax has been a time saver for me
in recent work although every field needs to be addressed in the REPLACE -
caveat - cannot be applied if only some fields ned to be UPDATEd but all
(and possibly different other) fields neeed to be in the INSERT.

Any chance of using views along the way?

Regards,
Ap.Muthu

The site:
http://pubimage.hcuge.ch:8080/
has DICOM images that are JPEG2000 compressed and need to be converted back
to raw DICOM format before the Care2x DICOM Viewer will render it. DICOMatic
and other commercial programs (Free TomoVision displays it) convert back and
forth.

[Care2002-developers] Dicom Viewer does not work in care2x-trunk SVN 6934

2011-01-09 Thread Ap.Muthu
After quite some time now, I just tested out the care2x trunk - last changed
at SVN 6934.
DICOM viewer does not work. (The domain value has been set correctly in the
/include/core/inc_init_main.php)
Tested on Debian Squeeze.

Also there are some errors in lines 7, 301, 379 and 384 in the file:
/gui/css/themes/default/default.css

http://www.quirksmode.org/css/opacity.html
"-moz-opacity" property does not seem to be supported now.
Also "opacity" property is ambiguous.

Line 7 can now be:
overflow: scroll;

Line 301 can be:
margin-left: 5px;
(note the space between "5" and "px" has been removed)

Regards,
Ap.Muthu

Dear Sir,

Thankyou for your interest in Care2x. It has been implemented in various forms
in East Africa, Albania and Venezuela Hospitals.

You may take the contact Mr.Thomas Festus of Planettel Asia Pacific Pte Ltd,
Singapore for all your commercial enquiries. At this point in time, Planettel
is providing Hosted services only.

Your esteemed organisation may choose to become a host for your country to take
advantage of local bandwidth and costs. This is done by complete Open Source
Virtualisation - OpenVZ and QEMU technologies. The pre-requisites would be
access to a pool of static IP Addresses in a secure physical and dependably
connected sustainably powered environment.

[Care2002-developers] SVN 6929-6930

2010-11-18 Thread Ap.Muthu
Hi Robert,

In SVN 6929, PEAR was added and in 6930, it was deleted.
Any need for it now?

There should be only one trunk.
All others should be mods / overloads / extra files - with dependancies
listed.

This way it will be able to progress in parallel and gradually merge all
branches into the trunk with options to enable different functionality.

Regards,
Ap.Muthu

Re: [Care2002-developers] suggestion of table change

2010-11-02 Thread Ap.Muthu
Hi Robert,

The field name can be what you suggested - what I put in was a little
generic. I certainly want you to be happy.

In case there are hospitals that do not use the alt_pid field, keeping it
NULL would allow them to proceed.
Attempting to copy into alt_pid the value in pid if alt_pid is NULL would
bring in anomalies and clash with similar numbers in the alt_pid that were
not NULL in the first place. Hence the UNIQUEness for alt_pid would have to
wait till you decide how to use it when alt_pid is absent (multiple NULL
alt_pids should be able to exist).

What is now in place is just a place holder. Please give it some thought as
to how hospitals starting anew entirely in Care2x would be able to use it
alongside with hospitals that intend to use Care2x for only a part of their
operations whilst relying on their own HIS for others.

Regards,
Ap.Muthu

Hi Robert,

Isn't this more of a legacy issue.
Once the hospital is entirely on Care2x, it will not be necessary.

This is quite useful if the patient is referred from another hospital.

Rather than hospital_file_number, the field can be generic as alt_pid NULL
This field should be optional and not null and not even unique.

Hi Muthu,

In fact, that is strange. Such databases are great when they are holding
these data and it could be used in different ways.

But let us look on it... I will give Mauri some instructions how he can
look for that data and give us some feedback if we can use it.

Thanks again for that really interesting link.

Re: [Care2002-developers] Interesting: freediams, perform prescriptions and check for pharmaceutical drug interactions

2010-10-15 Thread Ap.Muthu
On analysing the FreeDIAMS database, we find duplications in the DRUGS table:

SELECT UID, COUNT(*) AS Records FROM DRUGS GROUP BY UID HAVING Records > 1;
UIDRecords
21045002 2
21998001 2
78665001 2

We also find that the COMPOSITION table has many UIDs duplicated, but unique if
a compound key along with MOLECULE_CODE is used (other than for the above codes
in duplicate in the DRUGS table).

SELECT UID, MOLECULE_CODE, COUNT(*) AS Records FROM COMPOSITION GROUP BY UID,
MOLECULE_CODE HAVING Records > 1;
UID  MOL_CODE  Records
21045002 8522
21998001 8522
78665001 8522

The current USFDA page is at:
http://www.fda.gov/Drugs/InformationOnDrugs/ucm079750.htm
and the latest Database is at:
dr...@fda Download File (ZIP - 1557KB)  Last updated: 10/13/2010

  Attached is the MySQL Schema and Data Dump taken from the FreeDIAMS SQLite

Hi Dr Antas,

Karibu sana !! (warm wellcome in swahili)

I looked the site and it is really needed. It is really difficult to
program when needs high level of knowledge in drug interactions and thought it
would be available only in commercial software.
Our drug provider and hospitals have requested software that could report
if prescribed drugs or combinations could cause problems.

I looked the software tools they use:
"FreeMedForms and derivatives use :
* C++ language
* Qt4.5 libs
* SQLite / MySQL
* XML / HTML / ECMA Script
* Bash for some scripts
All the code documentation in writtent inside. the code. using the doxygen
language. "

I think our developers should look how to integrate this software with
Care2x. In our east African version we have prescription module using drug
list. But freediams can also be used to prescribe drugs.

FYI, I narrowed this down to a capitalization issue:
 "onclick" is ignored,
while
 "onClick" is obeyed.
Enjoy!

UnQuote

That might be easier to implement and test.

Re: [Care2002-developers] install optional table test_para error

2010-10-14 Thread Ap.Muthu
For a start, replace the onclick event with the onchange event and toggle
the variable.
Ref:
1. http://www.webdeveloper.com/forum/showthread.php?t=71917
2.
http://bytes.com/topic/javascript/answers/589737-onclick-event-does-not-work-select-option-ie

If we move the onclick to the select statement, then ref:
http://www.ozzu.com/website-design-forum/option-onclick-internet-explorer-t55560.html

The best is to get rid of it fully and lookup the role_id in the processing
script.

Re: [Care2002-developers] install optional table test_para error

2010-10-14 Thread Ap.Muthu
Hi Robert,

You probably did it with FireFox.
I failed with IE.

I created a user: drsuper with password: drsuper as Medical Consultant Role
from IE and it is listed under Archive.

Why should we have two field values from the same table - role_id and
role_permissions - in one form?

Can't we just choose role_name and submit the value role_id in the select
box with no javascript onclick gymnastics? Let the receiving form processing
script look up the permissions from the user_roles table and fill in the
appropriate tables.

My 2c.

Ap.Muthu

Please use XAMPP v1.6.8 as it has PHP v5.2.x

or

  This is my install process:
   download  as you said: wget
http://care2002.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/care2002/care2x/trunk/?view=tar -O
care2x-svn-6856.tar.gz
  # tar -zxvf care2x-svn-6856.tar.gz
  and chmod of some directory: cache,include installer,upload.
  go to http://218,6,160.10:8848/c2x
  can install normally, set the time-zone as asia/chongqing
  install data ,icd-10-en,ops-301-en,role,drug-intern,test-para.
  then over.
  you can go http://218,6,160.10:8848/c2x and login as admin/a, still can't
work normal.

Follow install instructions

I just did an install and it went on smoothly - I can create any user

I must choose depts on the right hand side.

I am able to logon as any such user with assigned rights correctly.

Attached are the screenshots during the install.

  If I set it manually, certainly can. but the program can't set the
role as I selected.

2010-10-13 Thread Ap.Muthu
There are issues with PHP 5.3.x
Try an older XAMPP like v1.6.8
http://sourceforge.net/projects/xampp/files/XAMPP%20Windows/1.6.8/xampp-win32-1.6.8-installer.exe/download
or
http://sourceforge.net/projects/xampp/files/XAMPP%20Windows/1.6.8/xampplite-win32-1.6.8.exe/download

- Ap.Muthu

  I am in windows use xampp with php 5.3.1 ,mysql 5.1.41. I can install
smoothly again ,and install role,icd-10 data etc. and login as admin. but
create role
  ,still can't change role, all have role id=1 archive.

On a Debian Lenny Machine, with PHP 5.2.6 and MySQL v5.0.51a,
the following install of Care2x SVN 6856 was done just now:

  # wget

care2x-svn-6856.tar.gz

  # cd care2xsvn
  # find ./ -type f -exec chmod 644 \{\} \;
  # find ./ -type d -exec chmod 755 \{\} \;

On the browser:
http://www.mydomain.com/care2xsvn
Follow install instructions

I just did an install and it went on smoothly - I can create any user with
any role.
I must choose depts on the right hand side.

I am able to logon as any such user with assigned rights correctly.

Attached are the screenshots during the install.

[Care2002-developers] Install of Optional CSVs checkboxes

2010-10-13 Thread Ap.Muthu
Hi Gjergj,

During the install of the Optional CSV data, it might be better to use
checkboxes instead of radio buttons - this will help in installing all the
CSV Options in one go. After the install, there should be an option for the
admin to install some Optional CSV left out during the primary install.

Just my 2c.

Regards,
Ap.Muthu

The OpenVZ container Wiki is at: http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Care2x

The Care2x Developers mailing list is also available within the care2x

Re: [Care2002-developers] install optional table test_para error

2010-10-11 Thread Ap.Muthu
Thankyou for pointing out the error.
Lines 64-65 of /installer/actions/CSVOptions.php states:
# The name of the table is the name of the file without the extention and
with prefix "care_"
$table = "care_".basename($file, ".csv");
Therefore the two files pertaining to the care_test_params data in the folder
\installer\db\sample should be renamed without the care_ prefix.

  It's found in the trunk version. certainly, the data can import into
care_test_para table manually. the program misused it with care_care_test_para.
  and ...
   in edp-access-create user menu : the create user function can only set the
archive role, any other role can't be setted.

Re: [Care2002-developers] PHP DICOM Viewer

2010-10-08 Thread Ap.Muthu
Hi GJ,

SVN 6854 now has the DICOM Viewer working beautifully!
Don't forget to set the $main_domain variable.

"ARCHIVE parameter set for applet - radiology -> DICOM Viewer now works.
Must set the $main_domain to FQDN domain name in
include/core/inc_init_main.php"

I just had to troubleshoot this dodgy one!

2010-10-06 Thread Ap.Muthu
Hi Robert,

When I returned to the mailing list, I found that there was a fix to the
dicom viewer that did not work and no further development and so I wanted to
know it's fate. All commits since happen to be in the gettext version
By all means contribute to the project when you are free. No one is
subsidised by anyone. We choose to deploy our free time in what interests
us. Europe has dole, India and Singapore do not. I will be travelling from
later next week and wanted to wrap up this version into a final OpenVZ
template till I can continue later next month.

Is the gettext version useable as yet?

Ap.Muthu

The SVN 6834 tar file can be downloaded from:
http://care2002.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/care2002/care2x/trunk/?view=tar

The modules/radiology/dicomviewer is broken still.
The JAR file seems to be compiled with a different path.
By distributing copies of dicom.dic in various folders, it doesn't solve the
problem.

The file is addressed as Dicom.dic in the php file:
modules/radiology/dicom_launch_single.php
Lines 84-85 seem to have the "/care2x/" folder hardcoded!

Has work on the trunk stopped?

The file main/spediens.php does not include the file
/include/core/inc_img_fx.php but uses the function createComIcon() from it!

I'm off on holiday till the 4th Oct...

[Care2002-developers] First Person Reg - Complications

2010-09-29 Thread Ap.Muthu
1. What is the purpose of the table: care_role_person ?

2. Fresh Install of SVN 6830:
Create a superuser with Medical Consultant Role (all areas) and assign all
depts.
Login as this superuser.

Each Scenario is done from this point (truncare care_person,
care_person_insurance tables before each test)

Scenario 1:
Patient -> Registration -> New Person
Pix+Insurance okay
Gets saved correctly (Record A)
Special tools -> Personell -> New Person
(Pix and Ins do not save correctly - so omit)
Data is saved correctly (Record B)
* Error: Data is shown wrongly as Record A
Subsequently when viewing the list of persons, it is shown correctly and can
have Pix and Insurance updated correctly.

Scenario 2:
Special tools -> Personell -> New Person
Pix+Insurance okay
Gets saved correctly (Record A)
Patient -> Registration -> New Person
(Do not try Pix and Insurance now)
Gets saved (Record B)
* Error: Data is shown wrongly as Record A
* Duplicate Person for 1000 and Record A is listed

It appears that in each instance of checking for a dplicate or for an
existance of a person record,
the status of being a patient or a personell is being checked as well.
When registering a person, we should not have two different means of doing
so.

There is only one positive workaround till it is fully settled:
One initial record for a personell person and a patient person should exist
in the default install.

Regards,
Ap.Muthu

Re: [Care2002-developers] ADOdb Issues

2010-09-29 Thread Ap.Muthu
The existing fix to use the POST value seems best under the circumstances
for a first jump in auto increment value.
As this is a purely MySQL version dependant issue, lets leave it at that for
now but keep our eyes open for any similar jumps in auto increment values.

Actually, the Auto increment value set in a table's config is the next
available pk id to be issued.
Hence (1000 - 1) is not needed and just:
ALTER TABLE `care_person`  AUTO_INCREMENT=1000;
is sufficient.

Nevertheless, it is best to rely on the POST variable set with php logic and
config table value - for the first entry for a jump in pk id.

Ap.Muthu

I am honestly clueless on the parameters issue.
I haven't as yet gone into the vertical functional as yet.
Yes, Mauri should decide what is best under the circumstances.
Let the values be plausible - erring on the safe side - whatever that means!

Re: [Care2002-developers] ADOdb Issues

2010-09-29 Thread Ap.Muthu
Hi Robert,

Try to make the table without any records and the default AUTO_INCREMENT to
start with should be 1 (if the parameter AUTO_INCREMENT=1is omitted).
Then make an insert with a pid = 1000 in the insert statement and check
the Last insert ID():

CREATE TABLE `care_person` (
`pid` int(11) unsigned NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT,
`name` varchar(60) NOT NULL,
PRIMARY KEY (`pid`)
)  ENGINE=InnoDB DEFAULT CHARSET=utf8;

INSERT INTO `care_person` (`pid`, `name`) VALUES (1000, 'Robert');

SELECT LAST_INSERT_ID();

Re: [Care2002-developers] ADOdb Issues

2010-09-29 Thread Ap.Muthu
Thanks GJ for the MySQL defaults.

In v5.11 - adodb.inc.php:
 function RowLock($table,$where,$col='1 as adodbignore')
was in v5.10
 function RowLock($table,$where,$col='1 as ignore')

Now analysing the differences between v5.11 and v5.10, we find that a new
class variable called
var $bulkBind = false; // enable 2D Execute array
has been newly introduced in v5.11 of adodb.inc.php in the class
ADOConnection
This variable is used as an additional check in v5.11 at line 956:
   $array_2d = $this->bulkBind && is_array($element0) &&
!is_object(reset($element0));

The Last Insert ID is essentially an SQL statement in ADODB and hence the
above may something to do with it.

  Hi Mauri,

  as Robert said that would really be great.
  there are no major changes in the lab. just create the categories and the
  parameters. there are a couple of more fields like max and min for males,
females, kids and
  such, but those are a bit specific.
  if you need more details, please let me know so i can create a page on the

[Care2002-developers] ADOdb Issues

2010-09-29 Thread Ap.Muthu
The current ADOdb library is v5.11 on Care2x SVN trunk.
It was v5.10 till about 2 to 3 weeks ago.

When a record is inserted into a table, we use ADOdb's method $db->Insert_ID()
to get us the last inserted ID where $db is the ADOdb connection object.
The definition of the said method is in classes/adodb/adodb.inc.php files and
is used within ADOdb in two files:-
adodb-csvlib.inc.php  - Line 44: $sql .= ','.$conn->Insert_ID();
adodb-perf.inc.php (for logging) - Line 107:$conn->lastInsID =
@$conn->Insert_ID();

The specific MySQL driver we are using here is
/calsses/adodb/drivers/adodb-mysq.inc.php
The said driver has a class "mysql" that extends the base cass "ADOConnection"
It has the class variable: var $hasInsertID = true;
It also has a class method: _insertid()
This method returns the last insert id and may possibly be for private use.

The default class variables values in the base class ADOConnection are:
 var $lastInsID = false;
 var $hasInsertID = false; /// supports autoincrement ID?
The latter is however overridden by a re-assignment in the mysql class.

The class method ADOConnection::Insert_ID() is:

   function Insert_ID($table='',$column='')
   {
if ($this->_logsql && $this->lastInsID) return $this->lastInsID;
if ($this->hasInsertID) return $this->_insertid($table,$column);
if ($this->debug) {
 ADOConnection::outp( 'Insert_ID error');
 adodb_backtrace();
}
return false;
   }

>From the above it is clear that for the _insertid() to work, it should have
>the table name and column name provided otherwise we have to check out what
>defaults it will take.

Hi Robert,

In the light of this, the ADOdb v5.10 and 5.11 should be compared for
differences in implementation of the last Insert ID retrieval for MySQL.
Also to be checked out is the need for my SVN commit of 6801 where the
$_SESSION['sess_en'] parameter was set
and to see if GJ's advice for revrsion will be useful.

http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=27033

Suggested fix:
Go back to Version 5.0.27 or work around by first INSERTing and after that
SELECTing
(more expensive).

Alternatively, make the insert function with a NULL Primary Key during
insert into an auto increment field.
This function may clash when we want to start incrementing from a bigger
number: 1000

Re: [Care2002-developers] SVN 6820 - Error on First Person Add

2010-09-28 Thread Ap.Muthu
Hi Robert,

You're right
This is an ADOdb / MySQL issue.
This will affect all tables with no records = for their first insertion
 - the $db->Insert_ID() will fail!

This could be an issue ever since we changed to ADOdb v5.11
Or alternatively, in an InnoDB table, when we force it to accept a different
ID to start auto incrementing from,
it might confuse the last insert id function.

Ap.Muthu

Inserting:
   $_SESSION['sess_pid'] = $_POST['pid'];

at line 308 does the job!

Re: [Care2002-developers] SVN 6820 - Error on First Person Add

2010-09-28 Thread Ap.Muthu
File: class_gui_input_person.php
Line 308
$_POST variable contents:
Array
(
[date_reg] => 2010-09-29 06:44:02
[title] => Mr.
...[create_time] => 20100929064402
[pid] => 1000
)

This shows that the variable %_POST['pid'] gets populated correctly but the
variable $pid still remains 0 and $pid is used in subsequent operations.
