On current cooker AlephOne-0.12.0-1mdk now segfaults. [Cooker] gnomba needs rebuild
gnomba-0.6.2-10mdk needs to be rebuilt for new samba IF it is to remain in cooker. I say IF because it would appear that at this time gnomba is no longer being developed. Sourceforge site is still active but homepage gives only 1 liner that 6.2 is latest and that he will get back to it sometime in the future. At any rate the rebuild is simple. Has anyone been successful in building and running AfterStep-1.8.11? I can get it to build from either the tar.gz or as an rpm. It installs without complaint but if I try to launch from either menu or from init 3 I get I get xsession error and start-up defaults to launching IceWM. Hi list, I have a problem with xine on an hp zt1170 laptop. When I launch xine, regardless of command-line or from menus, the xine window appears, and the GUI with it, but the system no longer responds to any input nor to probe from the network. I have tried using different audio output plugins, and with different window managers (KDE and blackbox) and with several different kernels, including 2.4.18-13mdk, 2.4.18-16mdk, and custom compiled kernels (with additional ACPI patching) based on those kernels. I can provide little other information. The system is all-cooker, and otherwise works flawlessly (I have to add some patches to mdk kernels to make the sound work with kernel driver, but otherwise, everything seems to work well.) [Cooker] Display break-up
Using nvidia drivers for booted kernel and Enlightenment. After installation of the latest updates I have begun suffering from display break-up. Numerous white or misplaced color lines 1.5 to 2 cm in length. At times making text in any open program illegible. Problem is not kernel specific. I can change kernel and nvidia driver but problem is the same. If I switch and use the nv driver the break-up does not occur. Charles
