[e-users] post svn82296 e17 - svn83292 gets to second screen
Hi, After efl-svn82296, I could never get e17 working - used to hang at the first screen or part. With efl-svn-83292, e17-svn82392 shows the first screen - but a blank one. If bottom window clicked, now gets to second screen, with box below - also blank. No crash, nothing. But .xsession-errors now has a new line: e_comp.c:1131 NOCOMP win 800034 shobj 0xef3670 This is with a clean start-up - no .e directory. Is the problem with my system? Or is efl broken? Am now sending this with efl/ethumb/emotion of svn82296, elementary/terminology/e17 of svn83292! Dave, Thanks a LOT! It worked perfectly! Menu was populated, composing takes less than I measured before (not 60%, just 40% now) and yes, I know that e16 was different from e17, but I was talking about the transition from 0.16.999 to 0.17, but since I was using the wrong method of compiling and getting the wrong sources, well... never mind. I miss some points and applications but nothing that I couldnt take care of. Thank you again! It would appear that on Jan 24, Carsten Haitzler did say: its a simple radiobutton selection list in the composite settings - software or gl. you can choose (if you have the choice :) - otherwise you'll just get software). there are 2 hiccups. 1 - it goes BACK to software even if you had gl enabled and a separate issue 2. the use argb iwndow option changed to be use shaped window: and in the process seems to have flipped value and shaped windows with comp cause much unhappiness. Well from my point of view then it's all good... What ever settings I might have are simple... (sounds like the hard stuff will be up to those who do things like create themes etc...) And the only thing I might really need to remember is that I might {just maybe} need to toggle a setting labeled shaped window... Done worrying! Used XTerm to cut and paste. Any clues? Arvind Really, there's something very WRONG with your setup. Nobody sees these errors. Do you have more than one installation of EFL? Are you sure you're not linking to old libs? And please, you need to specify your env better. Versions, distro, and so on. Am quite sure there are no old libs. Did ldd of all the libs installed, and tried find on the libs to look for other versions. None found. Nothing installed in /usr/local or /opt No network storage Works fine with svn82296 of efl. [e-users] Window switching issue - Enlightenment 0.17
Hello e-users, Good to see that we have a release now. So, I downloaded the release tar balls and installed it on my Debian Wheezy setup. Before this I was using old trunk (before switching to new structure). Actually I was enjoying that revision. But now with release tar balls, I am not able to keep windows in full screen. As soon as I switch to other window using Alt-Tab the full screen window no longer stays in full screen mode. This is pretty annoying as I use full screen mode a lot. Is this an expected behavior or is there any specific configuration by which I can keep windows in full screen mode?
