Yup, but I thought you meant a personal disagreement between Bevan

I think any personal conflict between Bevan and Farrokh would
certainly contribute to this thing, don't you?

of the Weekly Reader's FF Directory of Active Spiritual Practice
Groups which Fairfudlians had provided them with..They are
excited about Fairfield because of what is going on here in the
active spiritual meditating community, not really because of the

the TMO now and its corruptions. Both were pretty clear about
 expressing that.

It is real interesting in trend to see how many new comers have

The preamble of the Directory says it well: Directory of Active
 Fairfield Spiritual Practice Groups

Outside of Fairfield, people intently ask, What is going on in
Fairfield? The spiritual, utopian side of Fairfield is something
they are wondering about. Fairfield has become recognized as a
spiritual Mecca of sorts, ranking with Sedona, Arizona, Boulder and
Crestone, Colorado, Ashville, North Carolina and the like. Within
these past three decades, Fairfield spiritual practice groups have
matured, giving this community a rich, new face.
The long-time Fairfield meditating community today is its own
center
for spiritual practice. The breadth of spiritual practice groups in
Fairfield is now a unique feature of our town in the 21st Century.

Bevan is in control, according to the records, of the Global

BTW, how do you know that your sources about the nephews' corruption
are accurate? There's more petty finger-pointing done in India at all

However, he openly admits that only Allopathic medicines saved
Maharishi. If there is an medical emergency only allopathic
treatment works.

My view is that there has to be a proper balance between
Naturapathy and Allopathy, both can complement each other.

Unfortunately, TMO still sticks rigidly to Ayurveda and
defames Allopathy to a great extant. I remember reading an article
in a website where a woman student taking Maharishi's course was ill
treated by the TMO for asking for Allopathic medicines.

Also, I would like to point out that there is a huge 'multi-
billion dollar Herbal fraud' taking place all over the globe. Most
of these medicines are improperly made and are of dubious quality.
People have developed serious complications taking these herbal
medicines, some have even died as a result. There was a programme on
discovery channel on this couple of years back.

Heavy metal and pesticide contamination in manufacture of
herbal medicine and also bacterial and viral contamination in the
manufacture of these medicines is a huge problem. Most of these
medicines are not sterile because manufacturing conditions are dirty.

My advise to everyone is stick to well known standard companies
if you are purchasing Ayurvedic medicines.

MAPI NOT being one of these, despite their claims?

under-privileged and use it exclusively for the rich.

...and it is not only that only the rich can afford TM at its high
prices, it is also the ability through the riches to get special
instructions to complement your TM practise (and I'm not talking
here about being able to afford advanced techniques or other
programs such as panchikarma or vedic vibration).

I recently read an article about David Lynch in which he is quoted
as saying that he meditates three times a day...he does an extra
one
at lunch time. And why does he do the extra one? Because MMY told
 him to do it.

You see, Lynch was able to pay $1 million to go on a millionaire's
course and bought access to MMY. And it was a result of his
richness that got his extra TM instructions.

This to me is a big, big deal; it's one thing to make the price of
TM $2,500 and to have all these extra techniques and programs
available at thousands of dollars. It's quite another thing to now
pollute the universality of the technique by doling out special
instructions JUST FOR THE TM TECHNIQUE based upon money and access.

How horrible what this wonderful movement has come to...

And yet, Lynch paid for the access directly to MMY. How many
millionsof people wanted or still want that kind of access to MMY?
MMY has set up a criteria of having lots of money to get that kind of
access. What criteria do other people have to allow that kind of
access? How many people does Ammachi devote a month's time to and how
does she decide who gets that time?

BTW, Lynch then turns around and puts his money (and time) where his
mouth is. If you had access to millions of dollars, would you be
willing to pay MMY for a month's individualized attention? Would you
be willing to put your reputation on the line in public to promote a
fund-raiser to raise money for the TMO?

Why all this criticism against people with money, given that you're
so into capitalism?

Yes, seems persuasive except net effect likely will be they are
just
educating people to start other meditation techniques at these

 the money does all goe.

So where DOES the money all go?

And for those who are fortunate enough to be beneficiaries of the DL

Lynch established The David Lynch Foundation to fund students who
want to learn the Transcendental Meditation technique. So far the
foundation has dispensed $200,000 to seven Consciousness-Based
schools
to cover the cost of Transcendental Meditation instruction for its
students. It has three phases for development: 1) raise $1.2
million
to teach 500 students at American University in Washington, D.C.,
2)
raise $20 million to teach 10,000 students across the nation and
3)
create a $100 million endowment to build and sustain a campus of
World
Peace in Washington, D.C., which would include Consciousness-Based
  education in its curriculum.

Yes, seems persuasive except net effect likely will be they are
just
educating people to start other meditation techniques at these
prices
and once people start googling a little farther looking in to
where
  the money does all goe.

It's sad to me to see that people will swallow this swill so easily.

Having to endow large sums of money so a simple meditation
technique
might be taught? Give me a fucking break! It's just TM, what's
the
big deal? It should be free...that is if they're *really*
interested
in world peace. Of course the truth is, they're not. It's all
about
money. Just more selling of the veda. I hear vedic hell is nice
this
 time of year.

So there's no good that could come of charging the extra money? No
projects that could be done (letalone are being done) using that
money?

People who correctly practice TM, whether they are Hindus or not,
do
not think of tickling devatas during the practice of TM -- they
follow the instructions given for using the mantra as a vehicle of
attention, and transcend all thought (if one were to embrace

So the practice of TM is the same for all practitioners, Hindu or

I understand that, but whether or not they realize the connection

I was in the ayurvedic business before the TM org got involved and, in
fact, got told to stop by the TM org. The two very best companies I
 know of are as follows:

Here are two of the better ones:

 1) Bazaar of India (http://www.bazaarofindia.com/)of Berkeley, CA
They are known for their high quality raw (powdered) herbs, all of
which are organically grown. They were initially the main supplier to
MAV when the whole ayurvedic aspect of the TM org started

 2) Banyan Botanicals (http://www.banyanbotanicals.com/)

These are both excellent companies. Banyan makes more formulas than
Bazaar of India, but B of I also makes formulas in addition to raw
herbs.

It is my experience that one can have complete awareness of

bedroom and the same bed it is all the same, all the same. After a
while one just shuts it down. Deep sleep is preferable to total
boredom. Spend weeks, months and years being aware of your intimate
surroundings and see how long before you shut it down. TOm

The boredom can be avoided by starting actively in the deep restful
meditative state to pay attention to one's energies. You just observe
if a tiny little feeling of anxiety or some tension can be recognized
somewhere in the body.

Almost always it is the case at least for me. Then I let my attention
just rest on the felt anxiety or tension. Often gradually the
sensation starts to change its character, and finally fear or some
other heavy emotion emerges. At that point it is important to draw the
attention away from the object of one's fear and instead focus on
feeling the fear itself and where it could be located in the body.
This way not a minute is boring.
The only problem is that sometimes the hullabaloo can get too intense.
Deep breathing can be helpful then. If even that doesn't help, I have
gradually figured out some other means to control and work through the
situation.

I need maybe 4 hours deep sleep a night; the rest of the time goes on
like this mostly. I spend in bed about 9 hours. Only occasionally I
sleep normally the whole night. I feel equally good on the daytime
both ways, but I very much prefer the processing because a lot of
healing happens that way.
When I do this processing during the nights I may feel I'm fully
awake, but that's not actually the case. If I go in between the
processing to the loo, often only the other eye opens up. The other
half feels to be calmly sleeping during the whole loo visit.

[FairfieldLife] FWD Mother Meera to Visit America

2005-11-05 Thread dhamiltony2k5
Late breaking news:

FWD:
Mother Meera in America

U.S.A. and Canada: May 19-June 12, 2006

7-9 pm Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday

Mother Meera, is making her first trip to the US since 1981. She
will give darshan in silence for up to 250 people each evening.
There is no charge. Reservations are required and will be taken by
email and by phone by Mother Meera's American team. Children are not
allowed to come. They receive Mother's blessings through their
parents. Visitors should be able to sit quietly for about two hours.

The outward form of darshan is this: People sit before Mother Meera
in silence with eyes open or closed. One by one they approach Mother
Meera for personal darshan. Each one kneels before her [pranam] so
she can hold their head. When she lets go, the person sits back on
their heels and looks into Mother's eyes while she looks back into
theirs. This moment has all the time in the world in it. People who
can't kneel, sit in a chair in front of Mother. Those in wheelchairs
may also approach Mother.

Mother says: During pranam the work is on the deep aspect of the
being, the soul, while darshan [looking] helps the personality and
the life situation.

Mother also says: I have come to say that all paths are as good as
each other and all lead to the Divine, and that therefore various
believers should respect each other's ways…

Mother Meera seldom sees visitors outside of darshan. She doesn't
lecture, nor does she have a movement or an ashram. Mother currently
gives darshan in Schaumburg, Germany.

Contact information: Email [EMAIL PROTECTED] to express interest in
Mother Meera's darshan and to be put on the email list for early
notification of Mother's exact itinerary and reservation details. Or
phone 641 472 5149

believe in gods. I'm a lot happier with impulses of
   creative intelligence, myself.

Just a Western phrase Maharishi chose to make a Hindu concept seem
  more scientific.

Or perhaps not. Perhaps impulses of creative
intelligence is the more accurate description
for the abstract celestial entities or forces
which in Hinduism are metaphorically represented
by colorful gods and goddesses, and which are
actually aspects of our own consciousness.

Remember that MMY also refers to devata as
process of knowing, that which connects Knower
and known, or rather which *creates* what is
known. The Knower knows the known into being,
 devata being the creative agency.

I believe the mythological aspects of religions
generally are metaphors for highly abstract
components of reality--of the mechanics of
 consciousness--rather than personal beings. Not
that they can't take the form of personal beings,
of course. But their essence is vastly more
 abstract, I think.

very beautiful... c o r r e c t !

This meditation is a royal gift to relative forms of creation. Mantra by
itself - meaningless.
However, Mantra in the mind leads to creation of divine in the mind. Mantra's
effects are
known. A meaningless sound whose effects are known.
What is the significance of this? Everything ! The joy of
interconnectedness of
divinity with relativity results during meditation, when mantra flows in the
awareness of
mind. What a wonderful role devata, via mantra, plays for all of creation.
Relative diversity in creation exists on so many physical levels, and
so many layers
of diverse intellect-driven thoughts distinguish subtle differences in mental
forms.
Meditation, mantra, devata, and mind merge divinity into the awareness of the
meditator.
How fortunate we are to gain direct experience of divine realms as our mind is
immersed
in divinity. How fortunate for Divinity that a vehicle, devata, via mantra,
exists with which
divinity can cross into relative realms, and bless the relative. How fortunate
for Divinity
that it can comingle with relativity via devata and mantra, and share its
infinity with
relativity. It must happen. It must happen. The gulf has been too wide for
too long
between divinity and relativity.
Devata is special for its function, by which the mind is immersed in
divinity, infinity,
harmony, love, etcetera. The relative world is more divine, infinite,
harmonious and loving
following meditation. A simple sound without meaning...whose effects are
known.
Despite the beauty of artistic representation of devata in relative
form, the
importance of devata lies in function, and artistic

Farrokh has taught TM to over 40K people, more than most of us could ever
achieve. He's
tolerated much of the same stupidity from the TMO most have and still he wants
to teach
and do so at reasonable prices.

I'm not surprized to read that the movement representatives have threatened
him. I've
read from many on this list that such fear tactics continue. I salute Farrokh
because he
has the desire to side-step the limos, rajas, bagpipes, etc and continue making
TM
available in it's simplicity.

With the support of the judges in St. Louis and Farrokh's legal background,
with the
success of his project and determination to succeed where other's have not, I
think Farokh
might be just what the movement needs right now - a way out! How many
intelligent
movement leaders really believe deep down that the current policies have merit?
 In their
quiet moments, are they so brainwashed that they don't hear another voice
saying what if

If Farrokh has something to say maybe it's time he be given a real chance to
say it. He
wants to teach anybody, he doesn't want to overcharge them and he believes
teachers

What aspect? Every mantra, esp. tantric mantra will have a rishi, a
devata, a chhandas, a svara, etc. associated with it, as well as a
Dhyanavidhi, a meditative visualization. Mantras reveal their form
based on the Bijavrksa Nyaya, the Law of Seed and Tree. Eventually
the seed you use to meditate becomes the tree (the universe as
devata). I like the quote that Paul Mason shares of Swami Brahmananda
Saraswati where he say something to the effect that eventually your
whole experience becomes your devata..everywhere you look, the
universe if your devata. I'm also reminded of the ecstatic state that
I saw Amma in during Devibhava.

I have used 'Maharishi Ayurveda' and 'Sri Sri Ayurveda' products by SriSri.Ravishankarji. Looks OK, but,

You should walk into many of the thousands of small Herbal medicine production units in india. Formulas are not always followed. If an ingredient is not available it is left out. Raw materials dumped on the floor and people walking in throughthem with their dirty feet.!!

But that is not all. There is a huge Fake allopathy medicine racket going on in india. For example common antibiotic, say for example ciproflaxin. White talcum powder in neatly packed into capsules stamped as ciproflaxin and marketed.

The racket became so huge that the indian govt recently introduced death penalty for the offence.

metaphysical comedy show called The Lost Teachings of the Oy Veda. It's
an act in which I channel (wink wink) a 4,000-year-old swami called The
Wise Guy. (My elementary school teachers always told my mother at
parent/teacher conferences, Mrs. Bayer, Cary is an excellent student but I
wish he'd stop making the other students laugh and disrupt my teaching of
the class. He's really quite a wise guy.So I suppose the character has
been in the making since my childhood.)

I get to do my Indian accent and have a ball. Thank God...audiences have as
well.

Recently, Time magazine got wind of him/me and included a paragraph write-up
in a 3-page story, That's Funny! that they're running in their November 7
issue. It's about people in their middle years and beyond who've scratched
an itch in their funny bone to do stand-up professionally for the first
time. (I guess they consider a 4,000-year-old as part of the middle years.)
It's on page F1 in a bonus section called Generations. Or you can find it
online as well at the address below.

http://www.time.com/time/generations/article/0,9171,1124318,00.html

If you'd like him/me to perform at an event that you're planning, just let
me know. It's easier to reach me than to reach him.

Love,

Cary the Wise Guy

[FairfieldLife] NYT - Upstart Comedians Goofing on Andy [Kaufman]

Title: NYT - Upstart Comedians Goofing on Andy [Kaufman]

http://www.nytimes.com/2005/11/03/arts/03come.html

November 3, 2005
Upstart Comedians Goofing on Andy
By PETER KEEPNEWS
As befits a city often considered the world comedy capital, the second annual New York Comedy Festival - which began Tuesday and runs through the weekend - is heavy on big names, most of them more familiar from television than the club circuit: Denis Leary http://movies2.nytimes..com/gst/movies/filmography.html?p_id=41244amp;inline=nyt-per , D. L. Hughley, Joy Behar, Mario Cantone, Triumph the Insult Comic Dog.

As befits a city where comedians come to be discovered, it also has its share of lesser-known names, mostly performing in support of the stars.

And as befits a city where Andy Kaufman http://movies2.nytimes.com/gst/movies/filmography.html?p_id=37092amp;inline=nyt-per got his start, it has a grown man acting like a hyperactive boy who thinks the audience members are guests at his birthday party, as well as a woman who, explaining that she is too sick to talk, lip-syncs her act to a recording of her own voice.

Those performers, Ryan Flynn and Charlyne Yi, are among the eight finalists competing tonight at Carolines on Broadway, one of the festival's producers (the City of New York is also involved), for the Andy Kaufman Award. First presented last year, the award is for the performer who best reflects Kaufman's originality, humor and courage and who most forcefully breaks the barriers of conventional stand-up comedy. The competition is both an answer to the question Where are the new weirdos coming from? and a sign that Kaufman, once known as an iconoclast, has become an icon.

Larry C. Morris/The New York Times
Andy Kaufman

I was a big fan of his from the first time I saw him perform as a stand-up, said Mr. Leary, the star and creator of the acclaimed FX series Rescue Me who returns to his comedy roots tomorrow night at Avery Fisher Hall. He was just so off the wall. There was always an aspect of 'Where is this going?' He was one of those people who had what I call a secret evil plan - the guy's performing, but you don't know exactly how you're supposed to react. What he did is hard to do; it takes a lot of commitment..

It's also hard to define. Kaufman was the comedian who wrestled women. Who disguised himself as an oafish lounge singer and was his own opening act. Who first attracted attention in comedy clubs by pretending to be a meek, confused soul with a vague accent who couldn't tell a joke to save his life, before suddenly morphing into a formidable Elvis imitator. Who played a range of roles, onstage and off, but never, ever broke character. He was such a master of the put-on that although he died of lung cancer 21 years ago, some Kaufman devotees are still not convinced he's really dead.

Whether he was even a comedian remains debatable; he once said that he considered himself a song-and-dance man. (Oddly, Bob Dylan http://movies2.nytimes.com/gst/movies/filmography.html?p_id=88557amp;inline=nyt-per said the same thing about himself.) George Shapiro, Kaufman's manager and one of the forces behind the Andy Kaufman Award, recalled an argument he had with his client: He wanted to do a 'bombing routine,' a routine so bad that everybody walks out. He wanted to do eight minutes of terrible jokes - jokes that weren't even jokes - that would have people booing, people walking out. I said, 'You can't do that.' We negotiated. I finally persuaded him to keep it to two minutes.

Kaufman's younger brother, Michael, 54, a financial consultant and former stand-up who was the M.C. and a judge at the semifinals Tuesday night, agreed that his brother did not like being called a comedian. His explanation: Andy saying he was not a comedian was just protecting himself, so if he didn't get a laugh he could say, 'It's not supposed to be funny.' But let's face it, he liked it when people laughed.

The official criteria for judging the contest, in fact, break things down mathematically: 60 percent based on originality and courage, 40 percent on humor. The prize is $5,000, courtesy of Stanley Kaufman, 83, Andy's father, who organized the first contest with Mr. Shapiro and Caroline Hirsch of Carolines. Both are judges, along with Susie Essman of Curb Your Enthusiasm; Bill Zehme, author of a Kaufman biography; and Kaufman's sister, Carol Kerman. Everyone involved emphasizes that the idea is to celebrate Kaufman's fearlessness and his anything-goes approach, rather than to find a performer with a similar act. (It's really about finding the essence of Andy, Ms. Hirsch explained. The wackiness, the off-the-cuff creativity. The shock value.)

Nonetheless, last year's winner, Suzanne Whang seemed more than a little Kaufmanesque. Born in Virginia to South Korean parents, she does stand-up as Sung Hee Park, a nervous Korean immigrant with limited English who has apparently learned her entire act phonetically without realizing that

So, they don't mean anything, but they are the devata!

[FairfieldLife] Unlimited fuel source?

2005-11-05 Thread shempmcgurk
http://www.guardian.co.uk/science/story/0,3605,1627424,00.html

Fuel's paradise? Power source that turns physics on its head

· Scientist says device disproves quantum theory
· Opponents claim idea is result of wrong maths

Alok Jha, science correspondent
Friday November 4, 2005
The Guardian

It seems too good to be true: a new source of near-limitless power
that costs virtually nothing, uses tiny amounts of water as its fuel
and produces next to no waste. If that does not sound radical
enough, how about this: the principle behind the source turns modern
physics on its head.
Randell Mills, a Harvard University medic who also studied
electrical engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology,
claims to have built a prototype power source that generates up to
1,000 times more heat than conventional fuel. Independent scientists
claim to have verified the experiments and Dr Mills says that his
company, Blacklight Power, has tens of millions of dollars in
investment lined up to bring the idea to market. And he claims to be
just months away from unveiling his creation.

The problem is that according to the rules of quantum mechanics, the
physics that governs the behaviour of atoms, the idea is
theoretically impossible. Physicists are quite conservative. It's
not easy to convince them to change a theory that is accepted for 50
to 60 years. I don't think [Mills's] theory should be supported,
said Jan Naudts, a theoretical physicist at the University of
Antwerp.

What has much of the physics world up in arms is Dr Mills's claim
that he has produced a new form of hydrogen, the simplest of all the
atoms, with just a single proton circled by one electron. In
his hydrino, the electron sits a little closer to the proton than
normal, and the formation of the new atoms from traditional hydrogen
releases huge amounts of energy.

This is scientific heresy. According to quantum mechanics, electrons
can only exist in an atom in strictly defined orbits, and the
shortest distance allowed between the proton and electron in
hydrogen is fixed. The two particles are simply not allowed to get
any closer.

According to Dr Mills, there can be only one explanation: quantum
mechanics must be wrong. We've done a lot of testing. We've got 50
independent validation reports, we've got 65 peer-reviewed journal
articles, he said. We ran into this theoretical resistance and
there are some vested interests here. People are very strong and
fervent protectors of this [quantum] theory that they use.

Rick Maas, a chemist at the University of North Carolina at
Asheville (UNC) who specialises in sustainable energy sources, was
allowed unfettered access to Blacklight's laboratories this
year. We went in with a healthy amount of scepticism. While it
would certainly be nice if this were true, in my position as head of
a research institution, I really wouldn't want to make a mistake.
The last thing I want is to be remembered as the person who derailed
a lot of sustainable energy investment into something that wasn't
real.

But Prof Maas and Randy Booker, a UNC physicist, left under no doubt
about Dr Mill's claims. All of us who are not quantum physicists
are looking at Dr Mills's data and we find it very compelling, said
Prof Maas. Dr Booker and I have both put our professional
reputations on the line as far as that goes.

Dr Mills's idea goes against almost a century of thinking. When
scientists developed the theory of quantum mechanics they described
a world where measuring the exact position or energy of a particle
was impossible and where the laws of classical physics had no
effect. The theory has been hailed as one of the 20th century's
greatest achievements.

But it is an achievement Dr Mills thinks is flawed. He turned back
to earlier classical physics to develop a theory which, unlike
quantum mechanics, allows an electron to move much closer to the
proton at the heart of a hydrogen atom and, in doing so, release the
substantial amounts of energy he seeks to exploit. Dr Mills's
theory, known as classical quantum mechanics and published in the
journal Physics Essays in 2003, has been criticised most publicly by
Andreas Rathke of the European Space Agency. In a damning critique
published recently in the New Journal of Physics, he argued that Dr
Mills's theory was the result of mathematical mistakes.

Dr Mills argues that there are plenty of flaws in Dr Rathke's
critique. His paper's riddled with mistakes. We've had other

those wanting to exploit the technology are pushing ahead. We would

From: smenton [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Date: Fri Nov 4, 2005 0:58am
Subject: Re: New article on BLP smenton

I finally got a hold of the Focus article. I am not able to link
it, but it is certainly worth tracking down. It is a pretty general
overview and the author tries very hard to remain objective. A lot
of the article will be familiar to those who have been following
even moderately closely. One of the most interesting aspects of the
article is the public affirmation of more independent replications
of BLP's results and quotes from some of the scientists who have
performed some of the recent replications.

The article includes the following:

…Mills has published a host of papers detailing his theory of
hydrinos in serious research journals. Meanwhile, independent
investigators have carried out experiments to test his claims – and
replicated them….

Professor Rick Maas of the University of North Carolina, whose name
has not, to my recollection, surfaced on this Bd before, is quoted
extensively in the article. The article describes his involvement as
follows:

…[BLP] claim[s] to have triggered the creation of hydrino states by
heating hydrogen until it turns into a plasma and adding catalysts,
releasing energy much greater than predicted using standard theory.
Once again, these claims have been published in serious academic
journals, and have also been replicated by other researchers,
including Maas. `We went in with a healthy amount of scepticism,'
Maas says, with his team carrying out a series of experiments
earlier this year to test different aspects of the claims being
made. `We found very strong evidence for the existence of hydrinos,
and significant net energy gains of two to 40 per cent.'

…After carrying out his own independent study of claims, Maas
admits to being awestruck by the results. `There's no way – unless
you didn't want to believe it – that you'd not say you were
convinced.'…

This response, of course, is completely consistent with the now well-
documented phenomena that, those who actually see the BLP
experiments and accurately replicate them, come away very impressed
while many who rely on their ability to discern scientific truth
through the internet or from the confines of the APS newsletter
office, remain unconvinced.

I also liked how Professor Maas blows off the hydrino-phobe's ill-
informed, but all too frequent, attempts to smear BLP by trying to
link it to cold fusion. Maas affirms what many of us on this forum
have long asserted: ...This is so far from cold fusion that it's
insulting to compare the two

The article also includes background information and comments from
Prof Jonathan Phillips of the University of New Mexico.

…He first heard of Mills and his ideas shortly after debunking
cold fusion on theoretical grounds, and fully expected to be
underwhelmed. That changed after reading Mills's theoretical
papers. `I find his theory very compelling,' says Phillips, who has
since teamed up with Mills. But Phillips adds that the radical break
from conventional thinking has helped fuel scepticism….

The hydrinophobe position is largely based on comments from Rathke:

...Despite being published in respected physics journals, the
theory is still viewed with deep suspicion – though remarkably few
critics have put their knock-out arguments in print. One who has is
Andreas Rathke, until recently a theoretical physicist with the
European Space Agency (ESA). Earlier this year he published a paper
which concluded there were severe inconsistencies in Mills's
theory, which was 'incompatible' with quantum mechanics.

But Rathke's critique has now been shown to be flawed by Prof Jan
Naudts, an expert on quantum mechanics at the University of
Antwerp. 'It was clearly incomplete, and even misleading,….'

BTW if you want to read a very succinct summary of the multiple
flaws, misinterpretations and errors in Rathke's recently published
paper, get a hold of Prof Phillips' rebuttal.

In the meantime, the article includes a great quote from Maas who
really puts things in perspective:

…Maas believes it's time for the sceptics to put up or shut
up. `The experiments are so convincing, it's time to stop bickering
about the theory.'

Gosh, it is refreshing to see scientists actually act like
scientists rather than arrogant, know-it-all internet critics who
feel qualified to dismiss reams of experimental evidence without
ever seeing or trying to replicate a single experiment.

If the hydrinophobes who used to haunt this Bd continue to

[FairfieldLife] Ascension Tools for Ascension

2005-11-05 Thread Blue Star

From: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/circle2012dreams/

Tools For ComfortA brief note: Not all of our physical and emotional discomfort can belabeled as an "ascension symptom". There are certainly times when weare just not well, period. For instance, we can easily have a cold orflu and not be clearing at all.a cigar is sometimes just a cigar.Rest. Rest. Rest. Your body is going through an incredibletransformation and is on over-load. For those highly sensitives withfragile nervous systems, rest can make all the difference. I havefound that severely limiting my activities and attending to extremeself-care has made a considerable difference. It also has a naturalby-product of putting you in the higher realms.Water is key. Perhaps the most helpful support of all is water. Itcleanses us, neutralizes us and has many other attributes yet
to bediscovered. Drink lots and lots of it, submerge yourself in it andmove through it (preferably a pool) and program it through yourintention to do what you desire. Exercise, water and letting go andtrusting are the most essential supports.Find your own personal supports that vibrate as you do, whether theybe acupuncture, yoga, breathwork, or mainstream therapy, etc. Feelingsupported and not alone can do wonders. In addition, absolutely everyone of us is being supported by our families of origin from the starsand our ascension guides. They are here to make sure that we are notgiven more than we can handle and that we are ALWAYS provided for. Wecannot possibly end up out in the street destitute and alone! We arethe stars of this incredible show and we are totally being watchedover and guided.Three important keys: Stay as grounded as possible (it's easy now togo into much higher realms than we may
want to. The Earth is alsoascending, and she will welcome and embrace us if we anchor into her),maintain healthy boundaries (there is a lot of energy flying aroundout there being released and part of the way you may be feeling is notyou), and be in the moment.Really, really trust. If you can let go and stay open and out of theway, you will receive a tremendous amount of help.Be in your creativity as much as possible. The higher energies cravecreativity, and you will naturally, automatically and comfortably beelevated into the higher realms, as well as opening a channel for thatenergy to flow more easily.Try not to resist the process. I have found that fear and resistanceto the ascension process only creates an unpleasant experience.Everything is in divine right order. Again, we all have our ownspecial non-physical beings monitoring our process (I have seenthem!), and we will not be allowed to go "too
far" into a danger zone.We are never given more than we can handle, even though sometimes itseems otherwise! At one point my ascension guide told me that myattitude, fears and resistance were creating about 50% more discomfortthan necessary.Monitor your thoughts. This is also key. Higher and positive thoughtswill immediately place you in the higher realms, as well as assistgreatly in what you are creating. Find a "feel good" vision foryourself and use it often. I frequently envision my perfect life inall ways. Know it will arrive. You have the vision because you aresupposed to be living it!Let your soul guide you. We tend to want to be in control of what isgoing on and may "over do" grasping for some kind of relief. If youlet go and ask, your soul will bring to you the messages you need(whether through another person, a book, an e-mail, etc.), and is agreat navigator for a smoother and more pleasant
transition. I havefound that "less is more". The process itself has its own way ofgetting you where you need to go, and you can easily overstimulateyourself by trying to take charge or "over remedy-ing" yourself. If you are guided to supplemental support, take it. Adrenal supporthas assisted me greatly. Our bodies are working overtime. Relaxingherbs are good as well.Although doctors may be baffled by your symptoms, as you don't fitinto their "niches", they still may be of help. Our bodies have beenthrown out of balance and you may have a chemical imbalance, ahormonal imbalance, a thyroid imbalance, or anything else that canbenefit from a doctor's diagnosis. Doctors seem to be catching on, andare really coming around. My docotors and nurses in Asheville, NCfrequently told me about surrounding myself with white light, beingmindful not to take on the energies of others and that I was
releasingpast lives. They are out there!Spend as much time in nature as you can. The sky is still blue, thesun is still rising and nature is still blooming and thriving. Itfeels good to connect.Get plenty of exercise. If you are too tired to exercise, trywalking. It is important to keep things moving.Soak up the sun. The sun carries the vibration of the New energy andit really helps to be out in it daily.Up to TopIf you're

Just click on the email address and send your message--the address
is there, just hidden to avert spammers. That's what I did.
However, no reply yet

Please post the address or website, if you can get it.

Thanks.

I have used 'Maharishi Ayurveda' and 'Sri Sri Ayurveda'

You should walk into many of the thousands of small Herbal
medicine production units in india. Formulas are not always
followed. If an ingredient is not available it is left out. Raw
materials dumped on the floor and people walking in through them with
their dirty feet.!!

But that is not all. There is a huge Fake allopathy medicine
racket going on in india. For example common antibiotic, say for
example ciproflaxin. White talcum powder in neatly packed into
capsules stamped as ciproflaxin and marketed.

The racket became so huge that the indian govt recently
introduced death penalty for the offence.

Are you referring to MA facilities specifically?

It is pretty bad, isn't it? I could understand a
couple of hundred bucks for your average working stiff
and a sliding fee scale for others.

MMY has stated quite clearly that he's targeting the filthy rich these

attention, a sound resonating with the mind in a
  way that leads to
transcendence). Outside of the practice of TM, if
  Hindus want to
assign meanings to the sounds, that has nothing to

   practice of TM.

Mantras are effective by virtue of the energy and
  intelligence imbued in
them or associated with them. You tickle a Devata,
  the Devata tickles you
back. Indians understand this, and I've heard
  Maharishi talk about it. He
just emphasized the meaningless sound bit to make TM
  palatable in the West.

But the mantras in TM are, in the usual sense of the
term, meaningless. They don't literally mean anything
in sanscrit (at least the 1st technique). Now, they
are associated with particular devatas or more
accurately thay are the seed-sound form of the devata.
So, they don't mean anything, but they are the devata!

Command you me.

The mantra (devata) is there to do your bidding.

[FairfieldLife] ayurveda (was Re: Was Letter from Farrokh - Now Situation in India)

From '82-'88 I lived in FF, my partners and I had Perfect Health
Products, Inc. At that time there were only a couple of other
importers of ayurvedic products directly from India. We hooked up
with
a guy named Richard Forrest who was in Florida and had already
created
the channel for getting products in. We then acquired a very highly
though of ayurvedic doctor in India as our advisors. This was Dr.
Bhagwan Dass who was an advisor to the World Health Organization.
We
formed the Ayurveda Corporation and Dr. Vasant Ladd was on our
Board
and we met with him in NYC. We were importing pre-existing
formulations and packaging them outselves. We were working with
several large companies in India, we had an investor and I was
about
to head to India to take our business to a much larger lever.

At this point in time, the TM org had not entered the business of
 ayurveda.

We had a good relationship with the powers to be of the TM org. We
maintained regular contact with the Office of the President who
knew
exactly what it was we were doing as we told him very explicity.
One
day, in our little office in one of the high-rises, we received a
phone call from Bevan's secretary who read us a quote which
said, At
this time, Maharishi has announced his intention to get involved
with
ayurveda and all Governors who are involved in selling ayurvedic
 products should stop.

Of course we could have continued, and in retrospect I'm sure I
would
have done things differently. But my parnter and I chose to stop.

Ha ha.

Sucker.

'SriSri Ayurveda' by SriSri.Ravishankar seems to be doing
well.
It's based in Bangalore in India. 'Dabur-india' and 'Himalaya

 are well known companies

I was in the ayurvedic business before the TM org got
involved
and, in fact, got told to stop by the TM org.

  Bazaar of India (http://www.bazaarofindia.com/)of Berkeley,
CA
They are known for their high quality raw (powdered) herbs, all
of
 which are organically grown.

  2) Banyan Botanicals (http://www.banyanbotanicals.com/)These
are
both excellent companies. Banyan makes more formulas than
Bazaar
of India, but B of I also makes formulas in addition to raw
herbs.
