Otherwise, you'll want to use nuvexport to convert to one of the standard formats. MythVideo can handle any of those just fine, too. nuvexport can also create an SQL file that you can use to reimport a .nuv file, which will put it back into the recorded programs list. Several comments: The Athlon 800 is going to be a bit slow for watching Live TV and playback, unless you manage to get XvMC working. (I haven't had much luck there, myself.) I'd rethink the motherboard -- VIA chipsets have been known to have problems with high-throughput PCI cards like the PVR-150's. On a full-size ATX motherboard, you can sometimes get things to work better by moving the cards around in the slots, but that's less feasible with a microATX motherboard. Other mainstream chipsets don't have this problem. I'm using a GeForce 5200 for TV output, and it's working fine. Otherwise, you should be fine. If you're watching a recording, it'll show you the name of the show, the episode, and what channel it was recorded from. Same for Live TV, only you get the channel that you're watching. In MythMusic, you get the artist, album and track information. It's pretty slick. Ifyou RTFM, you learn that you use the "Device=" line to set the driver to a serial port, as I stated in my previous post. What model is your VFD? Your questions might get answered correctly the first time if you bothered to mention that datum. My VFD uses the MtxOrb driver, but my VFD is a Matrix Orbital. You pretty much need Apache, as MythWeb uses PHP. PHP can be built as a CGI program (usable with other web servers), but it's not as secure as running it as an Apache module.
