The package urpmi selected was simply called oooqs. However, I remember I also updated kaffeine (and hence xine libs). So I assume there is a conflict. I have just tried installing from the generic installer at openoffice.org but the setup program will not run properly. I get the progress bar but thats it. My thoughts on it though were maybe this may not have happened in Christophe's case however hopefully his problem was related to region settings. However I think John informed me that libdvdcss should have been able to play it anyway no matter the region settings. I really don't know if it comes from the fact that it is a DVD burner combo (MATSHITAUJ-831D) or that I got the notebook from France because I can watch the Zone 2 Pal DVDs and that is it! can someone pls identify himself/herself as a good java programmer. I just want you to point me in the direction of a good tutorial for doing programming in graphics using Java. I've tried those provided by Sun, but they are mostly good for basic stuff and I need something a little more advanced that is especailly focused on graphics and not general Java topics. charles ps. the tutorial should be able to refresh you in the basics and show how it progresses to the more advanced, so that I can understand how it gets there ! They work pretty good on my system which is mdk10.1.
