[otrs-de] Fenstergröße IE 11 OTRS FAQ -> Lösungs-iframe zu klein

2015-11-26 Thread Julius Haake
Hallo Liste,

eingesetzte OTRS-Version: 5 Patchlevel 2
Browser: IE 11.0.9600, Firefox 42, Chrome 39.02171, Opera, Microsoft Edge

Julius

[otrs] FAQ Navigation Elements

In the FAQ front end, is there a way to add the pagination navigation
elements to the bottom of the screen, so that a user won't have to
scroll all the way back to the top to select another page of results?

[otrs] [OTRS] FAQ Module approval behavior

2014-06-23 Thread liziyi2006

Hi list,

We are using an 2.3.4 OTRS system with FAQ Module 1.5.6 installed.
The FAQ::ApprovalRequired option has been activated and associated group
and queue apparently correctly set up.But, as soon as an FAQ article is
created, even before it's approval, it
appears in the FAQ explorer and it's accessible by any agent.

The behavior we would like to have is to get an article visible to agents
only after the approval process complete.

Is there something wrong in our configuration or expectation on approval
workflow ?

Thanks for your ideas !

[otrs] FAQ Search

2012-12-14 Thread Luchtman, Kurt
How can I make the FAQ search more efficient. Example, 1 FAQ has the keywords
of Split Decision date. Now, if I do a search for Split Decision, it will come
up. But if I do a search for Split, Decision it won't come up. I need to be
able to search using 2 or more keyword variables. I don't mind using Full Text
search or Keyword search.

Hi Lukasz,

Thanks for your reply on the FAQ article help.

Im not sure if I understand what you said about the f_subject and other
fields. Please let me know what are these f_subject, f_field1 etc .. What
do these attributes represent when I select them ? Could you please tell me
what they mean in terms of an individual FAQ article ?

I see that if I select the output to CVS, I get an output in excel format .
Do you mean setting the limit to above 74, it downloads more than 74 FAQ
articles ?

Please help me understand these questions.

Re: [otrs] FAQ article help

2011-03-16 Thread Marco Vannini
Harg, this is going to be very long :D ...

What Lukasz has indicated you are the fields related to the FAQ's tables in
the OTRS database. OTRS store the information that you enter in the variuos
forms of the tool in a repository.

With the SELECT provided, that must be executed via command line after that
you connect at the database (DB), you will have a list (textual) that should
match your criteria. That means fields Symptoms, Problem, Solution... and so
on.

There are many other methods to connect at the db but I think that are out
of scope/topic of that maillinglist/forum

Cheers.

Re: [otrs] FAQ article help

2011-03-16 Thread Lukasz Hadyna
Hey Winter,

f_subject is the Title of the FAQ entry, f_field1 through f_field6 are other
fields within the FAQ entry (solution, problem, symptom... etc),
unfortunately I can not identify these for you as we are currently only
using f_field3 (solution) and f_subject (we put our FAQ questions as the
title of each entry).

If you wish to find out what f_field 1 through 6 represent in your situation
I would recommend doing a short test with limit set to 1. Attempting a
'select f_subject, f_field1, f_field2, f_field3, f_field4, f_field5,
f_field6 from faq_item' with limit 1 as CVS then opening this file in excel
or openoffice you can correlate each each variable with a column in the
spreadsheet, for example f_subject would be column 1, f_field1 column 2 and
so on...

Then you would know which columns are of interest to you and change your
select query based on that information.

You are correct in assuming the limit correlates with the amount of articles
that will be returned at once, that is why I indicated you should set the
limit at or above 74, since you have indicated you have 74 FAQ entries you'd
like to extract.

Lukasz

Re: [otrs] FAQ article help

2011-03-15 Thread Lukasz Hadyna
Hi Winter,

You may want to try entering this into the SQL box in the administration
section of OTRS.

select f_subject, f_field1, f_field2, f_field3, f_field4, f_field5 from
faq_item

Then set the limit to above 74, and the output to CVS.

You may not want to include all those f_fields, I know we are currently only
using f_field3 (which is solution).

Let me know if you have any questions.

Right now, if I enter more than one word in the search field in the FAQ,
nothing is found. Is there anyway to make it a standard and-or search? Sorry
if this is obvious. I can't seem to find it in the manual.

Hi Greg,

I tried successfully the same extended search operators that work for
the ticket search (search for ExtendedSearchCondition in SysConfig).

So you can use (AND) and || (OR). + also works (AND). Other
operators may exist.

Re: [otrs] FAQ 1.6.5 CGI Error?

2010-04-05 Thread Nathan Campbell
Successful workaround:

Performed a fresh install of OTRS 2.4.7 with mod_perl on a new machine

This was simply to get the /otrs/perl folder which I copied to the
existing machine that was having the error.

I remapped the:

PATH variable and the

*.cgi

*.pl

mappings in IIS 6 from Strawberry Perl to the mod_perl file structure
and it works.

Subject: [otrs] FAQ 1.6.5 CGI Error?

FAQ Module appears to install properly, I am able to view it and add a
category, but when I create a new article and attempt to save it - I get
this error:

CGI Error

The specified CGI application misbehaved by not returning a complete set
of HTTP headers.

From that point on - the FAQ module always returns this error - even
from the customer interface. I can uninstall and reinstall to get rid of
the error, but as soon as I attempt to enter the first article it blows
up.

Platform:

   OTRS 2.4.7

   FAQ 1.6.5

   Win2K3

   IIS 6

   SQL 2005

   Strawberry Perl

OTRS has been running splendidly on this platform for several years.
(with the exception of Strawberry Perl which started a couple of
upgrades ago)

Re: [otrs] FAQ Layout

2010-03-21 Thread Neil Grantham
There's a couple of things:

1) Under FAQ it says 'default comment'
2) The main section headers - as I posted originally - have not spacing in them
- this seems a very basic error for a major module
For example, instead of saying Latest Created Items it says
LatestCreatedItems
Quick Search is Quciksearch
Latest Changed Items is LatestChangedItems and
Top 10 items is Top10Items

It looks unprofessional to present to our clients using our help system (even
the OTRS website has these errors), so I'd like to know how to correct it.

Hi Neil,

do you mean the missing blank line / vertical spacing ?

AFAIK this isn't configuarble via SysConfig, I think you have to modify the
template.

On the FAQ layout, the right hand column headers have no spacing in them. How
can I change this? I can't see anything in sysconfig::faq

IE they have these headings:
QuickSearch
LatestCreatedItems
LatestChangedItems
Top10Items

[otrs] FAQ 1.6.5 CGI Error?

2010-03-19 Thread Nathan Campbell

[otrs] OTRS FAQ module -- creating categories/articles?

2010-01-23 Thread Gregory Heffron
I just installed the FAQ module. I added myself to the faq groups,
logged out, logged back in. The FAQ icon appeared at the top of my
screen. Hurray.

But when I click the icon, it shows no categories or articles. Also,
there's no buttons to add any. The FAQ manual (PDF) says to add
categories, but doesn't say how. I'm sure this is easy, but I can't
figure it out.

Hello Greg,

1. check again, if you're member of the group faq_admin
2. what submenu icons appear (usally on the right side) when you click
the faq icon ?

3. try to call /index.pl?Action=AgentFAQSubaction=Add
4. try to call /index.pl?Action=AgentFAQSubaction=Category

Hello Heather,

I regret, I don't know how to solve this.

Since the state internal shows everything but the state external not
you could test the state public to get more information for fault
isolation.

Common advices may also help like checking the log or posting your
SysConfig FAQ - Core::Item.

Hello Heather,

are the sections completly missing or just in view mode but not in edit

used rich text and somehow contained HTML header tags that weren't

[otrs] FAQ width

My FAQ width is showing very narrow on the public FAQ pages. I compare them to
the demo

half as wide as
my screen stuck to the left side of the monitor.

Does anybody know what file to edit, maybe a .dtl file and possible what line
to edit?

I have my own theme working fine.

Thank you,

Craig

[otrs] faq on 2.4.4

2009-09-15 Thread Bianchi, Giordano
Hello OTRS users,

I'm having some problems trying to get the FAQ module to work on OTRS 2.4.4.

The install went fine, it created the faq and faq_admin groups and I can see
the icon on the toolbar. I've added my user to both the faq and faq_admin
group with full permissions, but when I try to add categories or even create
a faq it tells me Access Denied with the message insufficient
permissions. Nothing useful shows up in the log. Any ideas on how to get it
working? did I miss a step? Already tried logging out and back in,
restarting apache and otrs.

Thanks,

Giordano

Re: [otrs] FAQ pictures taking longer to load for customers

2009-08-07 Thread Emily Flynn
Hi again,

I am still having a problem with pictures taking forever to load.

I reduced the size of the pictures I have embedded in the article, but
size doesn't seem to matter here as none of the pictures are loading
across all customer viewable FAQ's for at least 3 or 4 mins.. (it just
shows the small broken picture icon) then suddenly all of them are
viewable.

While waiting for a picture to load, I right-clicked on the broken picture
link and it got me to log in as Admin and then I got a download prompt
asking me did I want to save or view the file... I could download and view
the file ok then.

I know there is a bug where if an internal article that contains pictures
is converted to an external (public) one, the pictures are not viewable...
I think I probably changed a few from internal to external (customer), but
at least one or two were always external (customer), and their pictures
are taking ages to load.

Logged on as an Admin I have no problems at all... all pictures are
instantly viewable.

Strange.

Suggestions very welcome! I'm getting lots of bad votes in the FAQ's due
to non-existent pics! :(

Thanks

Emily

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

I will try a reduction in image size, but I am based in the same office as
the OTRS server and I am logging on as both Admin and Customer on the same
pc and I experience the delay.

I'll see how the size reduction goes anyways,

Hi,

350KB is quite big for web based images. That's almost 1MB just for
your images. If the customers are coming in over a WAN this could be
effecting things. You could firstly try to reduce them by saving them
with either jpeg or png compression.

[otrs] FAQ Module approval behavior

2009-07-26 Thread s . curcio
Hi list,

We are using an 2.3.4 OTRS system with FAQ Module 1.5.6 installed.
The FAQ::ApprovalRequired option has been activated and associated group
and queue apparently correctly set up.

But, as soon as an FAQ article is created, even before it's approval, it
appears in the FAQ explorer and it's accessible by any agent.

The behavior we would like to have is to get an article visible to agents
only after the approval process complete.

Is there something wrong in our configuration or expectation on approval
workflow ?

Thanks for your ideas !

[otrs] FAQ: receiving emails through IMAPS

2009-07-10 Thread Mauricio Tavares
Quick interface question: in the postmaster mail account page
(Admin-PostMaster Mail Account), how do you setup an email to receive
messages through imaps? From the documentation, I believe it can be done
using procmail/formail, but I was wondering if it can be done right from
the otrs web interface.

I guess what confuses me is that under [Mail Account Management], I can
only add a POP3 account. And then, under [Note] there is a form-looking
thingie that seems to do what I want but I do not see how can I make
anything I enter there be committed/assigned to the user.

Am I being clear as stirred mud as usual?

Re: [otrs] FAQ module 1.5.4

2009-06-24 Thread Michiel Beijen
Hi Mario,

Considering the error message, what would you think? ;-)
Some error messages in OTRS might not be the most user-friendly, but
this one is in my opinion very complete and clear.

What you could do is checkout the HEAD branch from CVS and use that,
but I'll have to state that you can only use that (and also beta3) for
testing and/or development and NOT for production use.

See this section of the Developer Manual for instructions on checking
out from CVS. For the FAQ module the module name is 'FAQ' (and not
'otrs' as in the example).
http://doc.otrs.org/developer/2.4/en/html/c1159.html

After checking out you'd need to link the modules together using link.pl:
http://doc.otrs.org/developer/2.4/en/html/x1173.html

If you would go this route, please file any bugs you might encounter
on the bugzilla: http://bugs.otrs.org

Kind regards,

Michiel

Re: [otrs] FAQ module 1.5.4

2009-06-24 Thread Patrick Schulz
Hi Mario,

I had the same question to the OTRS guys some days ago.
The answer was, there will be a FAQ module with the release of OTRS version
2.4.1 which is planned for mid of June.

I also tried to install it and the only chance to come around this is to use a
CVS version and build the module by hand (with the new framework 2.4
dependency). I did not finish this yet, but this is the way how I’m trying it
the next days when I can spend my time on this again.

Cheers,
Patrick

Re: [otrs] FAQ module - public FAQ not showing articles

2009-03-30 Thread Craig Meirick
I have noticed an interesting clue to my situation. When I change the theme in
my
preferences to the one I created, the FAQ Agent view changes from showing the
top 10
articles down the right hand side in the Standard view to not showing the top
10 articles in my
custom view---everything else shows up the same.

I am still leaning towards this as being a permissions issue, I just don't know
where to begin
look in /opt/otrs.

If anybody has seen this or would have a reasonable tip on where to begin I
would be very
greatful.

Thank you.

After the upgrade to 2.3.3 from 2.2.3, the FAQ is working great with one
 exception. The
Customer page is showing all the categories I have but none with any
 articles. The Public
page is showing 6 of the 10 categories with none of the articles.

 Agent interface is working well.

When using 2.2.3 I was having some issues seeing all the public FAQ articles,
 some
categories showed all the public articles and some categories only showed
 some of the
public articles that were designated public. Now I have no articles showing
 on the public
frontend when most of them are designated public state.

I have the permissions configured per the instructions in the Admin interface.

Does anyone have any advice as to where to look to make an adjustment to make
 these
articles show up? I suspect it is maybe a permissions issue within the files?
 Anyone know
 where to look?

 Thanks

Re: [otrs] FAQ module - public FAQ not showing articles

2009-03-30 Thread Craig Meirick
Okay,

I managed to get the Top Ten Articles title to show up in my custom theme. I
found a bunch
of files that had not been updated in my current theme when I did the upgrade
from 2.2 to 2.3
which makes perfect sense. I just copied the odd ones from
/opt/otrs/Kernel/Output/HTML/Standard to my custom theme directory.

Now I am just trying to figure out why my FAQ articles do show up in the Agent
frontend but
do not show in the Customer or Public frontends. Everything else is there -
Categories and
Subcategories - but no articles or last created, last changed, or Top Ten.

Any help please?

[otrs] FAQ Permissions

2009-03-11 Thread Andrew Long
I am wondering if it is possible to restrict what categories of FAQ a
customer can see. Currently, logging in as a customer, you can see all
FAQ categories (folder hierarchy) even though access to particular FAQ
is restricted. We would like a customer not to see categories (which
might have other customer names, etc) for which he does not have
permissions.

Any help appreciated.

wrap=soft

I also tried wrap=off but I think I preferred soft.

Can you explain to me what edit needs to be made and where to prevent the
wrapping?

Thank you!

[otrs] FAQ URL redirecting after upgrade

2008-10-20 Thread Wes Plate

As a part of the eventual OTRS migration to the new version I'm going to
need some .htaccess redirects added so that my existing FAQ links won't
break.

Does anyone have experience in redirecting FAQ URLs?

I need to take a URL like this...

http://support.automaticduck.com/otrs/faq.pl?Action=ID=2SessionID=
or
http://support.automaticduck.com/otrs/faq.pl?Action=ID=2

(the SessionID= is sometimes tacked on the end, if it is there we need to
ignore it I guess)

...And redirect it to...

http://support.automaticduck.com/otrs/public.pl?Action=PublicFAQItemID=2

Anyone have suggestions? Thanks.

Hi,

I had a similar problem, and could not find add new category button, I found

correct users to the group everything worked.

Hope this helps.

Thank you. I also noticed the problem with the missing table, but I wasn't
able to get the categories link back even after creating it and (I thought)
adding users.

I'm going to try again though.

I haven't worked on OTRS in a few days so what happened last time is abit
hazy, please forgive me. Coming back to it I see I did manage to get myself
the category button at the top, but I cannot access all of the categories
for my old FAQ articles.

Do I need to go into phpMyAdmin to fix this? It seems to work but since I'm
on the edge of understanding I'm a little scared.

In my DB I need to migrate I have 9 FAQ categories with IDs 1 through 9.
Groups for Admin, and Users and FAQ and FAQ Admin are Group ID 1, 2,5 and 7.

So I did this, and afterward I seem to be able to access all my FAQ articles
(but is this right?)...

Hi Nils,

Thanks for your advise and answer.

The bug is already there at http://bugs.otrs.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1747
for a long time now it seems. I added some comments on it.

I modified the dtl file so the text is not wrapping anymore and so HTML
is not break.

I'd file a bug report at http://bugs.otrs.org/ In the meantime you
could maybe use something like http://tinyurl.com/ to genereate short
redirecting URL's that don't wrap.

I finally modified the dtl template AgentFAQ.dtl by changing the

HTML code now seems to be take in consideration under the FAQ Articles
but is there any side-effect ?
