Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 4.0 - integrate local library with your Spotify collection (LMS 8+)
Having played around with it a bit I personally find the AAC stream from Spotty via Spotify Connect (which is supported natively by the Marantz) According to https://support.spotify.com/en/article/high-quality-streaming/ AAC is only available in the web UI. -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread
Hello, iPeng 9.7.4 (with the additional remote play on phone app part) was working great for me for the first few months, but lately it has been randomly skipping songs at some random point during play. I would say almost half of the songs are acting this way. If I play the songs on the LMS web browser interface there is no issue. I've tried rescanning the library, it doesn't help. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: CastBridge = integrate Chromecast players with LMS (squeeze2cast)
Hellp Philippe, I am happy to report that the stereo cast feature does, indeed, work fine in the chromecast plugin. While it does not yield quite as strong a stereo separation as one might expect, but it does indeed work ! I picked a song I knew had strong separation (what is and what should never be by Led Zeppelin) and there is definitely a left and right working within a pair of identical speakers that I have set up to be a "speaker pair" in the android google home app. It works in LMS. Now that is pretty darn cool if you ask me ! The speakers I am testing are the inexpensive Next mini (gen 2). I am wondering what this would sound like with the really nice Home Max or Nest Audio. To me, this is a game changer for chromecast technology. On the run away chromecast plugin app, I have reported this before, and it persists. I would be happy to debug this and eliminate the problem. The only thing I can think of is that if I don't stop the cast before I stop LMS, perhaps it keeps running because of that. I have seen similar issues outside of LMS using a phone app that plays sound through a cast speaker. I can turn off the app on the phone, or even turn off the phone altogether, or take it completely out of the house, and the cast speakers will continue to keep playing until I uncast the speakers with the Google Home app on the phone. Perhaps it is something similar going on with this LMS plugin. The only way I can consistently get rid of it is to kill the process on my Linux server while it is running one of my cores at 100% cpu with no sound being played at all. freelsjd's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4344 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=104614 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I've only recently started using Deezer again, I've noticed that the track duration is incorrectly displayed. comeng wrote: > I set the logging as Internet Radio is there a better option, with it > set at that you would just get more of same Those logging options are really only for standard HTTP streams. So it is triggering for each chunk, each of which is a GET which requires a DNS lookup. Each chunk is about 6 secs long so gaps of secs for each DNS lookup would be right. The "internet radio" logging is not suited for the BBC Sounds DASH streams. There is plugin specific logging with plugin.bbcsounds but INFO level also generates a lot of messages so unless problem happens quicky log file gets very big. If there is an error the BBC Sounds plugin should log it. What does the log look like with default logging settings. I think this file is used for LMS 8.1 (maybe also 8.0), but Im not sure its used for 7.* releases. Anyway, if a plugin isnt listed in LMS Settings/Plugins its either because it isnt available for the LMS version used or its handled in a repository not included in the default repository generated from the above file. The old repository list can be found on the wiki: https://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/Logitech_Media_Server_repositories.html Some plugin repositories, for example those developed by Eric Koldinger, might no longer be available due to being hosted on Google Code which have been shutdown. Not sure if Eric migrated his repository to a new place after Google decided to terminate Google Code. I think the Google Code content has been archived by Google so you can probably get it with a little bit of work. After adding it you can also do a pull request that remove TrackStat from the unsupported repository: https://github.com/LMS-Community/lms-plugin-repository/blob/master/unsupported.xml The idea with the unsupported repository is to make it possible to install plugins which have been abandoned by the original developer but have been tested by someone in the community that they work with the latest LMS release. Unsupported indicates that the plugin has worked at some time but nobody have verified it with the latest LMS release so you use it at your own risk and it might break LMS since it hasnt been formally tested. All my plugins/applets can be considered to be abandoned and they will be added to the unsupported repository as soon as someone has told Michael(mherger) via pull request (adding it to unsupported repo) or some other way that they work with currently latest LMS release and they want it to be available as an unsupported plugin. I dont think Michael will add any plugin to unsupported repo before its requested and someone has verified that it seems to work with currently latest LMS release. If someone volunteer to take over support/maintenance of a plugin it should be in a normal repository file and not in the unsupported repository. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce : BBC Sounds Plugin
I must admit that I just searched for "Warlock" rather than "Peter Warlock". I agree that the BBC Sounds Website provides a more complete search - although it comes up with lots under "Warlock" without any facility to sort or refine the search (eg just Radio 3 etc.). The BBC Sounds app on my android phone returns the same list as on the plugin for "Warlock". One disadvantage to searching, is that it only comes back with information in the programme name or details. Information available only in the tracklist is not searchable. For example, The Through the Night programme on Radio 3 early this morning (31 January) included Bethlehem Down by Peter Warlock. However, if you search for Warlock, all you get is one episode of Time Travels - Poltergeists and Warlocks. This is a issue with BBC Sounds generally, rather than this plugin. The easiest way to get to programs you want without knowing when they're on is to search. So, in your case, search for "Cerys". It's not the same as a list that shows you, for example, all the shows on Radio 2. But I quite like the serendipity that it shows, in the example above, a number of rather more disparate shows featuring Cerys, that might tempt me over to Radio 4 for Loose Ends - I'd never have done that with the iPlayer lists! I think I use search more than I use any of the menus, really. Also don't forget if your choice of preferred programs is short (and mine is) that subscribing to programs and using My Sounds gives you instant access to everything you like with the newest shows at the top - and you get 14 days, not 7. Go in through the subscription option and you'll often see months, or even years, of old shows. While Sounds often frustrates me, it's easy to overlook some of its really neat features - it's certainly worth poking around a bit more and finding what it can really do. bpa wrote: > You're right the BBCiPlayer used a feed which used to supply a full list > of all programs broadcast in last 7 days per station. Thanks mrw. I do remember your promising post about the DSP filter coefficients. If processing power in the Radio is the issue, then tweaking those filter coefficients in the hardware seems like a useful alternative. I'm sure the Radio has an admirably flat response curve, but I'm not afraid to admit that I'm not a big fan of a flat response curve in all situations! My own personal preference with most audio devices is to try and cut the mid range a bit compared to the bass and (especially) the high frequency components. I believe this is called the 'Rock Smile' :-) The Boom and the Radio seem to have the same driver units (the bass driver certainly, not sure about the tweeter), but to my ears the Boom can be made to sound a lot better, by boosting the bass a little and the treble a little more. I'm not sure what's involved in using Ghidra, but if a Boom would be any use to you in seeing what's been done in its DSP then I'll happily donate one to the cause - just PM me if you want one of my 'spares awaiting refurbishment'. chill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10839 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113479 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Not sure which UI you are using. On a WebUI the displayed timer is driven by web based code and corrected by LMS. The above description seems to indicate an interruption in network connection. BBC Sounds plays DASH streams where audio is broken into small "files" (3 sec I think) - sometime these files have a "pause" due to network and there was BBC Sounds fix about 3 weeks ago for this. Can you test to see if you get this problem with a "listen Again" stream ? "Listen Again" enable buffers to be filled so if it is the network problem - the "gaps" should not occur. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113563 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
