I recognise I am on ancient version of piCorePlayer (3.21) so tried to update that in situ but that failed also. Guess I wi;ll have to create a piCorePlayer 6.0 SD card and try that. However, surely I should somehow be able to upgrade LMS to 7.9.3 without having to rebuild picorePlayer.? I just want to listen to a Youtube file on my SqueezeBox! See post 2 items above I tried following the instructions for creating a new API V3 project, used the new API key - now YouTube Search no longer works - returns nothing (YouTube anything search). Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] ANNOUNCE: YouTube Plugin (API v3)
(I posted this on the old thread earlier - sorry for confusion) I used the excellent YouTube plugin successfully for a good while, then stopped using it as I succumbed to Spotify Premium which contains most of what I search for. But not all. So a few days ago I tried a YouTube search, and all appeared OK, but no sound. The timer showed the track playing, then skipped back to the beginning after a while, but still no sound. I wondered if the API was no longer OK (have had problems in other contexts with Google authorisation changes) so went to Settings and obtained Client ID, Secret key and then code, and apparently successfully authorised, and tried again. Still no sound. Track timer advances, after a while (40 secs) skips back to zero and restarts, then same thing happens over and over (and "pause" button doesn't stop it - have to play a different (non-YouTube) track to stop it. Same thing happens using my iphone iPeng as player, and using my SB Touch (with EDO). Should I turn on some logs and post the output? Which ones? I have 0.87.0 of the YouTube plugin. Thanks! Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty v1.9.0 - now with experimental Spotify Connect support!
Hi - I would appreciate any help with the following. Running LMS 7.9.1 on PCP on Raspberry Pi (2) I switched from my Son's Spotify account to my own new Premium account, switched the account in LMS Plugins - and started to listen. My SB Touch would only play a few seconds before dropping out, resuming, going back to start and generally misbehaving. BUT after some investigation I found that the same Spotify track would play perfectly on my iPeng player on my iPhone (same LMS etc). When the track plays badly on the SqueezeBox touch LMS says "1411kbps CBR, Ogg Vorbis (Spotify) (Converted to PCM)" but when the same track plays perfectly on the iPhone player (iPeng Squeeze player, not Spotify native) LMS says "320kbps CBR, Ogg Vorbis (Spotify) (Converted to MP3)! I have my Spotty audio quality set to "Extreme". I would like to get the best quality I can via the Touch, but I think something is getting overloaded. (It's wired ethernet connection via mains PowerPacket). Is anyone able to advise what settings to change to get listenable playback on my Touch? Classical.com does not work for me despite being on 7.7.2 of LMS and 1.0 of the Classical.com plugin. Some playlists would play, others (I only had 3 of my own) returned Classical_error_parse. I made some changes to My. Playlists on Classical.Com, and removed and re-setup my account in LMS - now My Playlists do not even show as a pick, and Shared Playlists returns Classical_error_parse. This bug or similar was reported months ago, but sits on Bugzilla unassigned. Is no-one interested in making this work? I have cancelled my Classical.com subscription.
