XM and Sirius merged their online channels. That is why you keep getting Sirius. And many channels are not available online (such as my favorite old time radio shows). Even though numbering for common channels has been done, there are still differences in the two lineups. I am an XM subscriber and am getting the XM-specific channels on my Squeezebox. I'm still getting weirdness. To recap, I am both a XM and Sirius subscriber (silly, I know). I have separate logins for the two accounts, and regular online works perfectly. For some reason that nobody can explain to me, both logins bring up the Sirius lineup on my Squeezes. I'm a former XM plugin user; switched to the official app when SiriusXM switched their streaming a few months back. I'm experiencing some weirdness today: I attempted to play a SiriusXM channel I have saved as a favorite, and received an error message: SIRIUS Error. Unable to retrieve channel info (invalid channel ID, channel lineup In then attempting to play the channel via the Apps menu rather than my favorites, I found that I was seeing the Sirius channel numbering rather than XM's (e.g., Underground Garage is showing as channel 25 rather than 59). It does play that way. I logged on to the SiriusXM online player (ugh!) and everything was working normally, with the XM channel numbering. So it appears that either we're getting a temporary glitch OR something was changed on SiriusXM's end that Logitech needs to take into account. It's not fatal, but all my saved SiriusXM favorites are broken, and it would be a PITA to have a different channel numbering system on the Squeezeboxes compared to my XM radios (and the SiriusXM online app). I was using the XM plug in which is now dead. I activated the Sirius plugin but it shows up as 1.0. I disabled it, went to mysqueezebox.com, uninstalled it, reinstalled it, uninstalled squeezeserver, reinstalled etc ... you get the idea. But I am still left with Sirius (1.0) and it will not show up on squeezeplay or my squeezebox. So, after mmuch frustration with XM, I got this to work. First of all, XM ripped me off. When they combined streams with Sirius, they cancelled my premium service. It took over a week of waiting for level 2 support to reinstate my premium service, which is only 128kbps anyhow. Radioio is a lot better. But it still would not work. So it turns out that SiriusXM changed their rules again. Even though I followed the advice here and went and changed my user id and passwords, they still would not work. It turns out that BOTH the username and password must have uppercase, lowercase and numbers in them. It this is the case, it is a secret. I changed mine to non-compliant ones with no complaint from their Web site. I surely won't renew online listening when my subscription expires. I spent about 2 weeks total futzing with this. But it still will not work with SoftSqueeze, and in fact hangs it up! Has anyone encountered this? I have the squeezeplay player on two different computers and they are both doing this. These worked the other day. What I did do is update my squeezebox server to the latest. That is the only thing I have done recently. I have a couple of old Squeezebox's and they are playing the Sirius just fine, but not the squeezeplay. Can anyone with a Canadian XM Radio account currently stream to the squeezebox? If so could you please enlighten me on how you accomplished this? My wife recently activated her Canadian XM account and I cannot get it to stream to our squeezebox's using the XM squeezebox plugin. I keep on getting a HTTP com error message. From what I gather Sirus/XM (USA) have recently technically merged in the states, which has changed the login process for US subscribers. It sounds like Canadian accounts (prior to the technical merger in the states) were able to login and authenticate for online streaming from the US URL. This no longer seems to be the case? Well, my situation hasn't improved since this past weekend. As stated before, I have both XM and Sirius. Even though my XM login works on the Sirius site, it still plays Sirius on my Squeeze. I have a lifetime subscription with the Basic online account attached to it. The XM plug-in used to work just fine with the SB player. Now with the website change and with using the Sirius plug-in, it is requiring a Premium online account. Thanks to you all here for the necessary informatiion to get the Sirius app working. I had used the XM app for some time but was having a real problem logging in as I thought that the instructions with the Sirius app to Log in meant to log in to my sirius/Xm account. Needless to say, this didn't work, and SiriusXM wasn'y any help at all! Just shows how one can focus on the wrong interpretation of a request. Once I (finally) figured out that I was supposed to log in to my Squeezebox account things went much better, but I still would have had problems without the information above. A big thanks to everyone for posting their comments on this thread - it helped me get up and running - I had a username over 20 characters which worked with their online listening but not with the app. Changing it to a non-email address worked for me. I jumped through the hoops, including a call to customer service when the app didn't want to accept my chosen online username. Got music again but now after an hour or so I get kicked out with an irritating Stream stopped, you are no longer authorized to listen. This happened several time during the afternoon. I used to get kicked when I listened to XM online at work. Apparently there's no keep alive ping back to their server. I've seen this mentioned in other threads but have yet to see a solution. I followed the advice in this thread with my XM internet account. I changed my streaming user name from an email address to a normal user ID. Then I added the Sirius app to my apps and used the new user id. All is working fine. Finally, I turned off the XM plug in I was using. It seems to work for XM users just fine. I unchecked the XM plugin, I change my XM logon from email address to a 9-character id. I uninstalled the Sirius app and reinstalled it. It still thinks the Sirius trial has expired when I try to access it. I went back into SiriusXM site and saw that I had only changed my master login, not my internet radio login. I change it also, but the SiriusXM player still wants the old one, even though it's not listed on my account info page anymore. I was able to install the Sirius Internet Radio App from mysqueezebox.com using my old XM Radio user name and password. Restart the squeezeserver and it's working fine. Later removed the XMRadio plugin. I too was able to install the Sirius App from App gallery (had to use the account name and password from the xm/sirius INTERNET account, not my general xmradio account. And it only added the account when I entered my password in all CAPS. On the app settings page it does properly show my account as being used. After installing the app, I also stopped and restarted SbS. So now I have the sirius app. I've enabled all my players, etc. in the settings for the sirius app. When I go to SbS, I see the sirius app, I can see all the channels, and when I select a channel it shows up as now playing. BUT HERE'S THE PROBLEM: No sound. And after the timing hits about 3 to 6 seconds, it reverts back to zero (not playing). On my SbS on the vortexbox (linux) I get no error messages. If I try it from a SbS running on Windows 7 feeding SqueezePlay on the same machine, I do get an error message when playing a channel: unable to play file type for sirius://x (where x is the sirius channel number selected). I am an XM radio (not sirius) subscriber (internet and car). OK. Sirius app is installed, shows account, all players enabled for sirius app. A little more testing: 1. Running SbS 7.5.2 on Vortexbox Appliance: Touch - can't play, file type error Transporter - can't play, file type error SqueezePlay on Win7 machine - can't play, file type error 2. Connected to Mysqueezebox.com: Touch - can't play, file type error Transporter - can't play, file type error SqueezePlay - can't play, file type error 3. Running SbS 7.5.3 on Win7(64) machine (default file type setup) Touch - can't play, file type error Transporter - can't play, file type error SqueezePlay - CAN PLAY JUST FINE So I can only get playing xm/sirius stations via squeezeplay when connected to SbS on my Win7 machine (this is true whether running 7.5.2 or 7.5.3). And as another test, I fired up a second laptop, with a different instance of SqueezePlay. If I connected that 2nd Squeezeplay to the SbS on my Win7 machine, I can get XM to play. If I could get things playing with either mysb.com OR my SbS Win7, I'd assume it was some file type issue with the linux on the Vortexbox. But the fact that I can't get playback via mysb.com seems odd. And it doesn't seem to be a native file type issue either as I have the same issue with Touch, Transporter, or SqueezePlay. I think these XMRadio/Sirius streams are WMA (some sort of windows media). My testing indicates that something is in place on my windows machine (running SbS) that is not available to SbS running on my VBA OR on mysb.com. SiriusXM have merged their XM and Sirius streaming sites. The XMRadio plugin is no longer needed. You can use the official Sirius app instead. I am able to get my XM streaming account to work on both Duet and Boom. Perhaps the trick is to assign a username to your streaming account (not your account management email username). Do this in manage your account at www.siriusxm.com. The official Sirius app is working for me as well. I did have to change my Internet Radio username at SiriusXM to get the Sirius app setup at mysqueezebox.com. Ok, this sucks for me. I have both Sirius and XM accounts (internet and receiver). I know this doesn't make sense to most people, but whatever. So until yesterday this worked perfectly. I had both Sirius and XM on my squeezes. The main reason I have the XM online account is to get channel 202, The Virus, which is only available on Sirius via the Best of XM addition. Maybe because you have both the siriusXM internet stream defaults to the sirius lineup. How are you setting only one SB player with the xmlogin info. It looks like on mysqueezebox.com you can only choose one account for streaming and this account would relate to ALL your players. One laptop has an external drive with my main library; the other is my new release machine. Generally, I have my boom streaming the main library laptop, while the duet is tied to the new release one. In fact, this screencap shows my setup, and I do have mysqueezebox set to my XM account. I didn't realize that there is a drop down menu for which account because in my case I have only ONE account so I see the same thing as you but just a fixed account name next to each player (no choices). Yep, I can't access XMRADIO anymore as of a few minutes ago when I checked. Can't access it via my foobar2000 plugin either. Yup, looks like Sirius and XM have finally merged websites. I tried using the built-in Sirius plugin to no avail.
