Hello Christian

Well, i think for non-interactive sites/services this can work quite
well [1], but I have some real concerns for an interactive service such
as this.

In the past, when confronted with a very similar question, I've heard
less then supportive opinions from individuals who say they have
interacted on such sites - but I have never actually been pointed to a
running site that I could evaluate. Maybe you can do so - is there an
example you have found - though it sounds from your email that perhaps
not.

The state of computer translations is getting better, for sure, but from
personal experience it really does depend on the language.

Also
IMO - if we go ahead an run a single site, all languages in the bin,
someone is going to bitch and they are going to bitch loud and long...
given the emphasis we as an organization place on native tongues.

That is not so much an argument against the idea, rather a statement of
opinion on something that IMO we should be prepared for.

So - should we or should we not use a single bin for content from
all/any languages? I would not, given what I've seen on the current
osqa (sorry I know the plan is to use a fork of osqa - may I ask why?]
style site.

Is there any plan to integrate on-the-fly translation?

If so, would that drill down to a single question that had replies in
multiple languages?

anyway - my thoughts for the moment.

Thanks for all the work on the this,

//drew

Howdy,

alright - I gathered up-to-date en install files for the files we use
under extras (mozilla, etc) last night - I'll push this up to to the
parking lot later today and drop you a DM when I'm done.

If you would Just move that under the NA directory and I'll arrange it
from there, then drop a note to the list for review of the structures.

Took me a bit - yeah - when I moved stuff the first time I looked at
what was already there and when a particular file was, I used it - and
didn't stop to think about the installers language.

got you - I didn't stop to think that the /assets/addons could be de
only (which makes sense since I knew the first file load came from the
de project..duh - [they say the worst biases are the ones we don't know
we have :-] ), should have checked each one.

It was quite a few files that I did this with - all the Mozilla stuff
for instance (this included changing to html page to match the differing
versions)

/assets/templates on the other hand did have a sub-dir named de and in
that case I created 3 sub-dirs (en, es, fr) I moved the en files
to /assets/NA/template/en and will for the es and fr files I loaded up,
I suppose it makes here for templates

/assets/documentation did not exist and I created it then the sub-dir
en. Yesterday I moved that to /assets/NA/documentation/en, but that just
doesn't seem correct IMO.

/assets/artwork was another one, each item in a separate directory and
then when I found files already in place I just linked to those.

so I would propose that I move the docs back to /assets/documentation/en
and leave /assets/artwork alone also?

/assets/extras/ I don't know, off to do what I should off and that is
actually try the install from the files already there...

thanks,

Alright - I moved a few things as sub-directories and it all went great.

so
/assets/documents/en
/assets/templates/en
became
/assets/NA/documents/en
/assets/NA/templates/en

Having a problem with a couple of individual files - at some point I
think there an error in moving some files via the GUI and they ended up
at ../asset/

These individual files I don't seem to be able to move via the gui and
have it take..

It's just a couple and it would be great if someone could do it at cli
and I'll relink them on the page.

/assets/OOOP-accessories-2.8.0.0.oxt
-> /assets/NA/templates/OOOP-accessories/OOOP-accessories-2.8.0.0.oxt

/assets/OOOP-templates-separated-en-US-2.8.0.1.oxt
->
/assets/NA/templates/OOOP-templates-separated-en-US/OOOP-templates-separated-en-US-2.8.0.1.oxt

/assets/pimaco-templates.oxt
-> /assets/NA/templates/pimaco/pimaco-templates.oxt

Otherwise, I'll continue to move things under NA (extras and add-ons and
artowrk ).

thanks,

I'm not worried about that now, I think your right that if I use the CMS

Hi,

Just checked and see the 3.3.4 and 3.4.2 files under
installer/libreoffice/ now - thanks you

I think for now, I would just as soon actually see what the ISO create
script will produce from the files as is - mostly because I don't want
to be a point of failure again so please don't wait on me to do anytnig
further.

Meanwhile - off to see if a little cut and paste will make our 3.3.3
page morph into 3.3.4 now, this will be a clone of the current page
anyway, and I won't publish just yet. When I _really_ get done..maybe
I'll beat the build script for the first one..we'll see.

Thanks again very much,

[libreoffice-projects] [LibreOfficeBox] Install files

2011-08-27 Thread drew
Hi,

On the LibreOfficeBox development server there are currently two
different approaches and directory trees for installation files.

Currently the NA-DVD uses the 3.3.3 stable release files, in the same
form that a user would download them from the website.

I was using a working assumption that this stable directory tree would
be the one used going forward - but it seems not to be updated with any
of the stable latest files, 3.3 or 3.4 releases.

There is also a different approach being used by the De box team now, it
seems, where they use the individual files and not the single .gz files
such as from the download site - I believe this is done so as to enable
some different installation paths..cool.

So -

1 - would it be possible to get the newer releases under the stable
directory tree, in the 'download' style, for now?

2 - is there a decision on what is going to happen going forward?

Thanks

Ah - well, I should clear up my English.

I actually thought that the Br ISO was being hosted on the TDF servers,
until recently when I browsed one of mirror sites.

Just to be clear, the ability to move your file to the TDF (Shared
community resource) is possible and does work as advertised - it simply
requires you to use a third party trusted intermediary to do so.

Yes, I've used that 'parking lot' approach and I will likely use it
again.

It's in English for me...maybe you have German set in your account
profile. Next time I login I'll look and change it to English if you do,
or you can if you get there first.

No not when it is embedded controls on the page, it will not.

I suppose - when you asked this the other day I think I misunderstood
and thought you meant a full set of HTML pages in German but you just
mean a section on the one page - that would be fine IMO.

I would rather you did not do that - that pages are being changed over
to work with SilverStripe and far enough along now that I would like to
just work in the one environment.

Maybe - we can look at that - but right now I just want to get what we
had there and linked properly. I'm moving things around in backend
(different directory structure), after that a split would be fairly
easy.

[libreoffice-projects] [libobox] Added documentaiton dirctory

2011-07-01 Thread drew
Hi,

just to let folks now, I added a new directory on the libreofficebox
server:

/asstes/documentation
/asstes/documentation/en

en will hold English language user guides, etc , which are included on
the NA disc.

Figured to follow the same for es and fr as they become available.

Thanks,

Hi,

Yes, let's get the LibreOffice Calc guide in place on both servers.

If you want to get it up to the libo-na.us server i'll move it over to
the CMS server and link that in from the get go.

Right that was what I thought, from the earlier emails.

The behavior tab did have just the URL - I removed a few moments ago.

And now I just added it back.

It works now.

The issue: if you use the base URL, alone,

it is still throwing a 404 error.

Any ideas on this one?

I doubt anyone would mind if you do so - but you should know also that
on the CMS server all these versions are also available, from 3.3.1 -
3.4.x, at the moment. They are not directly available to web clients but
are available for disc production purposes.

I fully agree that it is high time to _stop_ referring LibreOffice users
to OpenOffice.org resources! Whether is documentation, wiki pages,
extensions, templates or user support.

As for using the libo-na.us server for distributing some extensions,
maybe - I'm not sure how that would work however and it would need to be
talked through. There is a definite problem facing LibreOffice users
with regards to what extensions TDF is willing to make available and I
would love to host a site that makes those TDF will not host available -
HOWEVER - I assume that will need to be unambiguously _not_ directly
associated with TDF. The LO-Portal name might work for that, but
libreOffice-na.us would likely be a big problem.

Attached are the most up-to-date French dictionaries, so far, plus the
en_US one listed in the subject line.

Three of French dictionaries have not been uploaded, do to it slipping
through cracks in my memory after I downloaded the newest ones. I was
going to manually update the French ones with the newest .dic word list
files, since OpenOffice.org's site was offline more often than running.
Then a few weeks later, that site was up enough for me to grab as many
of the updated dictionaries as I could.

If needed, I can take newer .dic word lists that are available and
replace the older ones to try to keep the dictionaries up-to-date. The
en_US .dic file was never updated with the newest one[s] that I found,
so I created the attached one.

The newest en_US .dic file that was on the OOo site was dated
2010-03-15, while the "default" installed one was dated 2007-05-04, as
far as I can see. The newest .dic file I found was dated 2011-04-19, so
that was as at least one year newer than the newest one on the OOo site
and almost four years newer than the "default" installed one [as far as
I can tell about the default installed file].

The big thing about word lists .dic files, is the fact that is is just a
list of properly spelled words. Many of the words in the file have
reference codes that seems to be used to reference spelling definitions,
such as suffix replacements. I worked on a dictionary project many
years ago and that is the way it seemed to be done, since it takes much
file space to do it that way. I had to write a test program for that
list and codes, since that was not available to the people working on
the list creation. It seemed that the Asian group creating the spell
checker for the "electronic" typewriter did not want to share the code
for that so that the team I worked with could make sure the work was
done correctly. I was the support person for that team at the college
where the work was being done. This was when PCs were pre-Windows machines.

dictatorship/MS
diction/SVM
dictionary/MS
dictum/M
did/4612
didact/MS

The April 2011 .dic file has about 51,000 words in it.
I have a word list, not in the .dic format, with over 213,000 word in
it. That list is missing some words. "dictionary" was not in that
213,000 word list for some reason.
---

Also attached to this email are two other new dictionary files that I do
not remember seeing in the OOo web site.

 Brazilian--dictionary-thesaurus--DicionĂ¡rio de SinĂ´nimos
ProtuguĂªs Brasil2010-05-28.oxt
 Scottish Gaelic Dictionary--gd_GB2009-02-10.oxt

Both of these have not been added to the site. Here is the list of the
Brazilian-Portuguese and Scottish-Gaelic dictionaries on the list.

Portuguese (Brazilian) - Vero - Brazilian Portuguese
Spellchecking Dictionary & Hyphenator
 - Brazilian Portuguese grammar
checker 3.1.0 2010-11-17

Scots Gaelic GĂ idhlig An Dearbhair-litreachaidh Beag -
Spelling dictionary for Scottish Gaelic

---

It seems that the creators of the .dic files are not often the same
people who create the .oxt dictionaries for "us" to use. Many of these
same dictionary lists are also used for programs like Thunderbird, but
in a different list of other "archived" files besides the .dic files.

LOL - well, small problem there - I have 181 files in my latest pull
from the server, in May when the last .iso was created, and yesterday I
asked to have the files moved from the Libo-na.us server to the TDF cms
server - this morning I find 404 files in this dictionary directory.

I really thought we agreed on two items:
1 - nothing on the disc that is not referenced from the UI.
2 - no new files would go into the disc directory on server without all
of us knowing in advance.
[On the second point - I bear some responsibility here - seems I missed
an email from you on June 2nd, where you are talking about updating
files, so I'll take the hit on that one...]

- this is going to make for a long day it seems.

Moving forward today - I propose to move the files I have from May to
the 'parking lot' on Erich's server (he was nice enough to give me info
on that last night - thank you] and have those moved into the CMS
system. I'll then delete the new dictionary files and that should put us
back to a file load that matching what has been reviewed earlier.

Then - we can step back and look at those files on the na.us server and
see which ones really are updates. I ran diff on a few of them and found
no changes, BTW, beyond the file name - there where a few with changes
also, however.

Which rather leads into another, related, subject. The new
extension/template site - we have, thanks to Tim, a darn near full
collection of the dictionaries and templates from the OO.o extension
site...what do we do with them?

Thanks,

//drew

Yes sir - the theme is going to need changing for sure - that is on the
list as things to do...

I would like to make landing page virtual with en, es and fr displayed
depending on the users browser setting.

Here is an easy one, I would like to have 3 headers and 3 footers
available depending on which language the user has selected - with out
regard to the users browser setting.

But that is for 'next' - other fish in the fry pan for today.

Ah - I know another way - will do so in a direct email now...

@Tim I'm going to allow Friedrich to login to the libreoffice-na.us site

lo-portal server can handle the wget command - have used it before.

Just tried moving files using the CMS GUI - no problem.

So also need this full directory moved
http://libreoffice-na.us/English/documentation-PDF-and-other

Then these files - to any sub-direcotry, I'll move them later

http://libreoffice-na.us/English/template-files/gallery.zip
http://libreoffice-na.us/English/template-files/layout -
presentation.zip
[note the file names breaks above]

http://libreoffice-na.us/English/add-ons-templates/OOOP-accessories-2.8.0.0.oxt
http://libreoffice-na.us/English/add-ons-templates/OOOP-templates-separated-en-US-2.8.0.1.oxt
http://libreoffice-na.us/template-fr.zip
http://libreoffice-na.us/templates-es.zip

I think that leaves few un-moved but I'll find them, no doubt :-)

Thanks once more,

OK - well for the dictionaries I need this directory:
http://libreoffice-na.us/English/add-on-dictionaries-large-list/

I can rename/move the directory later, sure.

For the larger individual files they will move into new locations - it
won't take me long to give you a to-from mapping - there is IIRC less
then 10 of these. Will put that together in just a little bit and send
it along.

oops that [1] was to point to a screen shot from the error I get when
uploading largish files - the transfer runs for a while and then just
ends with this screen displayed:

Just a quick note - that drag 'n drop feature has, it seems, a few
issues - you have to watch carefully when you use it, but it does work.

That I tried also and that works.

Just to follow up - so far WHEN you used SilverStripe to set some
property then all the neat GUI tools work pretty well.

@Christian - While I have your attention here.

I have a bunch of files that would not upload, seems anything over
~32Megs would fail. [1]

I also have a large group of dictionary files that need to go up...and
the GUI upload is...errr...tedious to say the least.

Anyway to either get a ftp connection and or if I give you a script with
a bunch of wget commands could someone run that for me ?

Yes - sorry - I meant to get to this today, but wandered a little.

There was only a few:

artwork/clipart/pfeile
screenshots/Beispiele
screenshots/Vorlagen

I think a few others - anyway - as I said, I don't see it as a big
problem.

Right now I'm more concerned that the different teams just have a good
understanding of what structures are in place.

Also, as I said - when I could see a pattern (or what I thought was a
pattern) I tried to follow it.

i.e.

artwork/gallery/*
[I used the single directory per]

extras/misc/*
[I used the single directory per]

templates/*
[there was already a de directory (and separate sub-dir for Beispiele)
so I added en, es, fr sub-dirs]

templates/en/*
[I followed the pattern of single sub-dir for each collection of
templates]

Otherwise - where I could find a file, used both by the de and na disc
then I re-linked the HTML page to point to the file currently oh disc.

I also looked at the installer directory and THINK I understand what is
being planned there - I should put my thoughts in an email and just make
sure that we are all on the same page. (will do that on the projects
list later today)

Thanks,

//drew

then again - do we care if a sub-directory is in English or German,
really it is just a click on a URL link on a HTML page right?

and just to think out loud here - since we need to re-link the stuff on
the HTML pages anyway - I would not mind taking the .zip files I have,
bursting the apart and recreating to .tar.gz before pushing them to the
server - I suppose .gz isn't considered a problem for windows users any
longer, huh"

Hi again,

First - included the projects list on this.

Alright finished up that artwork-gallery files and moved on to the
clipart files.

Now things get a little more interesting.

1) Some of the files are shared between NA-DVD and the DE disc, and they
exist therefore in the assets directory on the CMS - problem is they use
German names for the sub-directories, and we of course use English.
Is there a good way to handle this using SilverStripe so we both get
what we want without duplicating files?

2) The openClipArt files. Alright we have a few more then currently on
the CMS system, so no problem we add those.
But - there current files on the CMS system all use .tar.gz files and we
used .zip. Anyone care?

Thanks

@Tim, I know you have a lot of extra stuff and that can be looked at
going forward - for now though really need to stick with the stuff that
was reviewed bu the group.

The alignment issues and what-not with the html files we will work
through, but it really is an issue (not huge but is real) in moving the
static html pages to the SilverStripe system with has a few quirks,
(that isn't a prerogative just a comment) so this off-line isn't quite
that simple. If you really want to do off-line work then I'd recommend
setting up your own instance of silverstripe, it is (for out of the box
set up) a snap. But we can talk about that off-line if you like.

Thanks,

Hi Tim,

To create your account you just need to go to:
https://libreofficebox.org/forums

Create an account - there is no real forum, this is simply the account
that will be used to give you access.

Alright, well I removed Jeff from the sub-site admin group, but left his

[libreoffice-projects] [NA-DVD] Libo Install binaries

2011-06-23 Thread drew
Hi,

Ok - another question.

Looking at the CMS server and the shared directory structure for
installation files there is a bit of a disconect between what is
expected by the current DE disc project and the upcoming NA disc
project.

The current structure has the individual binary files on the disc. Which
allows some coolness BTW, as in support for being a debian repository
for updates.

However, the current NA disc image uses the same compressed files one
would download from the main LibO site.

So - do we really want to have this double space used up to store?

Ideas?

Hi,

Two quick things here.

Need to setup Tim for access to the DVD development site and the
publication site.

Second - a little house keeping. It appears Jeff C. is no longer active
in the project and it makes sense then to deactivate the login for that
account. Just as a matter of good policy, that's all.

If folks are good with it then possibly set my account up with needed
rights and I'll handle this. Just let me know.

[libreoffice-projects] [NA-DVD] Moveing asset files to the server

2011-06-23 Thread drew
Hi,

I'll be using the [NA-DVD] tag in emails that deal with setting up the
CMS based disc development system for the North-America Community Disc
Project.

OK - I really need to jump on this starting today in a serious way.

First question has to do with assets.

There are a number of add-ons (here I mean extensions and dictionaries)
included in the NA-DVD project that are currently not stored on the CMS
system. Would you that I upload those into the shared assets directory
on the server, or keep them in a separate NA directory?

I think one question like this per email is good.

Thanks

@Tim - It's working for me here, Firefox 4.0.1 and Chromium 12.0.7..
(both under Ubuntu 11.04), though I had to accept the certificate the
first time I hit the site.

> Let you know when It;s fixed

Well, I reset what I thought would fix this - but no luck.

This is really acting odd.

for instance if you try this URL

http://dvd.north-america.libreofficebox.org/info

or any URL that points to an actual page on this site it execute the
function phpino() - not what anyone wants.

but if you send it to a page that actually doesn't exist
i.e.
http://dvd.north-america.libreofficebox.org/info.jnk

it ends up displaying a copy of the info page that was being transfered
from the static site... in other words it appears to be fairly well
hosed.

Alright - thinking I can do two things:

1- I could try deleting _everything_ and start over. But if there is
something internal, for example in the database entries used by SS, for
this sub-domain, that may do nothing either

2 - have Cloph do the same but at the site admin level

So - I'm including the projects list on this email, and CC Flroian and
Christian, to ask for help and we will go from there.

Of course Christian may want to take time to see if he can unwind this,
but I'm just thinking that since there wasn't much there anyway it may
in the long run be faster just to 'do-over' from a clean state.

Will let you know,

Noting that the FrODev.org sponsored LibreOffice QA weekend just wrapped
if there are plans to share with the rest of us what was discussed.

Yes I know it's only Monday, so I didn't expect anything at this point,
but I think it would be a good idea to set such a precedent for regional
gatherings such as this, that they do a quick debrief to the membership
overall.

Thanks and hope you guys had a great time,

I noted K-J's email, so I'm really just following his lead here:

(if time permits, will give a quick update on the NA-DVD and solicit

Third - well, what's third? :-)

Thanks

Hi Craig,

Thanks and you aren't late at all, in fact I'd been looking at that (the
slogan font) and thinking along the same lines, that it needed changing.

So - one last (maybe) tweak(s):

- Reduced number of fonts
-- Front and Back cover
- opened up the curve in scatter patter on front cover
- lightned background w/ slight tint change
- added more white space around logos
- softened the shadows by 1/2 under module icons
-- asking for a dispensation on the branding guidelines for this
- offset version designator

and looking at that it looked enough to merit the full print ready
version to the wiki. [ where it goes back to being a version of
alt-3.png ]

I think it's a winner?

Thanks

Hi,

extensions - templates - extras?

Sorry, if this was covered already on a ML, if so I missed it.

Then of course I wonder if teams are ok with a common set of directory
names - meaning English I guess - or if they will prefer, likely I
suppose, for native language specific names.

I have no idea if (how, as I would guess it does) SilverStripe would
handle this if the requirement is stated as : a common physical
directory mapped to different labels for native language. I'm guessing
this has been thought about, as I say, just didn't see it mentioned.

So - Where is the thoughts on how is this going work?

Thanks much,

Drew

Hi Tim,

A quick note - I'm down to the last file, ~100 templates. Have NOT
updated the shared spreadsheet yet (only my local copy), but should have
both finished today.

As soon as I do I'll let you (and the ML) know with a post, that will be
today.

Thanks

Hi Tim,

Yes, as long as we were on a non TDF server then I felt that to be the
only acceptable, other then a private label, option - and then only so
long as we kept the appropriate contact on and contact point to TDF

Hi,

In a general sense, I would think, that installing user specific
templates as sets, meaning groups of templates in an oxt wrapper, would
be rather straight forward.

That is, given the installation having been carried out via a script, in
this case the script could then run unopkg and install the oxt payload
(templates, gallery graphics, and other types) as a final step.

I suppose this means the script contents need to be generated using the
selections made by the user in a web interface. If you are talking about
doing this from a web server, via the net, shouldn't be a problem.
Thinking about doing that from a DVD maybe a bit more to it, but nothing
beyond doable.

Also, have you looked at the possibility of using more of the resources
of the Linux platforms. For instance the LibreOfficeBox de team is
integrating the needed files such that the directories present as an RPM
(not sure about DEB) repository. Sorry I don't have much detail on this,
but if you haven't looked at that it would be another possible way to
go, perhaps.

Best wishes,

Drew

Using the projects list for infrastructure questions is appropriate,
naturally. However for content questions the US mailing list is IMO the
only acceptable option, at this point.

Well, just going on what I'm seeing on the disc, it sure looked like the
idea was to put together a disc that covered:
de, en, es, fr, it

I think that makes sense, if for no other reason then it looks like a
reasonable list to do in rather short order.

Adding pt-br, given the activity level, would make sense IMO, but the
branding of the application I suppose causes an issue here.

Looking outwards from there - a CJK disc for instance would seem to make
sense, Hebrew/Arabic/Farsi, hell I'd help with that one any way I could
- but I think that is digressing for this particular email.

I would agree and what I was thinking of - any how, the NA DVD is my
priority but as Jeff C. is fond of saying "We can walk and chew gum at
the same time" and given there is an empty en_us directory sitting
there, well 'we' should be able to do something to help.

Hi Tim,

Well, I understand your line of thought and it's interesting.

In actually I don't see it as a usage pattern that would benefit many
people, but it worth talking about for sure.

In my opinion, and for the moment at least, it's a bit bothersome to me
from this one perspective - there are a few us right now updating and
editing files, we are working against this one common set of files.
Given our setup right now that is the only way to keep us all in sync -
and I am doing daily backups of changed files, so there is at least a
poor mans version control system.

Right now having a second set of files that are supposedly in sync also
just adds to our chances for banging over top of each others work, at
least given the active level of change going on.

I'm sure you got Jeff's mail from this morning regarding the User
Documentation and the updates he will be making today to the files on
your server.

Beyond that:
- all the files on the disc are now referenced from the HtML pages
- ALL pages needing translation from German to English are done (Clean
first drat at a minimum) and ALL the HTML has been scrubbed free of any
googl-ism garbage (I think?)

Open items are I think down to
- Templates, in the zip files - final vetting.
- Finish work to html files for minor layout issues

> I am currently uploading all the new files to the online install
> folders.

Ok - great.

So if I could just follow up from my email of this morning. This is a
good time to get the folks on the US list to review what we have and
give some input/feeback o some of the inclusion questions.

I just really think this archive directory idea is making extra work
right now and I would rather see us focus on getting what is before us
already finished.

Thanks

Drew

[libreoffice-projects] Work on the international 'box'

2011-03-22 Thread drew
Hi,

It was my understanding (although I can't say how I arrived at it, so
possibly just wrong) that the plan was to work on an international disc.

I took it to mean, that there would be a single iso image that had
multiple language GUI, a common set of extensions, and Language specific
templates again.

Specifically I'm trying to see how to best leverage the work that the NA
DVD team has done, and some additional items perhaps, to help with that.

I noted that you called for help with the English translation of the
German disc and I take it that was for this international version.

After downloading the latest LibreOfficeBox iso, a few days ago, and
comparing it in detail with what we have in English already it appears
that there is indeed much that can be put forward.

What is the best way to help you with this particular project?

Thanks

Drew

Howdy,

First - the work on the SilverStripe tooling is very much appreciated.

For myself, I would really like to see us, the folks that have
contributed so far to this NA DVD project, make use of the
infrastructure going forward. There are many benefits to doing so, in my
opinion.

My concern has been with the current state of the assembled files. By
which I mean that we have been going over all the files assembled with
an eye to licenses and fitness for redistribution. ( Jeff C. has put a
lot of effort into this due diligence step) In doing so a number of
problem files were flagged and removed. Currently there is a large
number of templates that are being reviewed, it's only a matter of days
before this is finished. Until that is finished I would not be
comfortable pushing these files up to the community server. That is my
primary concern, giving any pause, at th moment.

At that point I'd like to see us generate an ISO that would be viewed as
a beta for the disc image, for people to review. That also would be, in
my opinion, a good spot to actually start the work of moving over to the
community based server.

@Tim, I could not explain the details of the custom build scripts of
course, but the general use of a Content Management System (CMS) for
building the disc image contents is something I do understand, if your
interested I'd be happy to talk to you about that on a phone call. If we
could get all of us on the NA team on a call that would be great -
perhaps there is some help we could get on that.

A good spot to stop for one email I think.

Best wishes,

Drew
