Re: [SA-List] SA Freezing?

2019-04-11 Thread Demeulemeester, Pieter
We solved a similar problem by setting some checks in maintenance mode.
One of our servers was having trouble (not the Servers Alive server) and it was
only after a reboot of that server that we could enable the checks again.

(tip for Dirk: add the field Unique ID to each line in the log file, that would
make it easier to detect the check that should be disabled)

Other things to look at are if you do see the interface, what does the last
line show and on the several freeze you got, does that last line points to
something similar each time?
What are the last lines in the logfile?

Try turning that off temporarily and see if you get results. Turn every output
off except email/SMS notifications. See if that changes things.

If you use "External (errorlevel)" checks, be sure to enable the "Kill the
external application when not stopped in time" option. Otherwise some badly
written external commands (scripts) could consume all the memory.

Hi all colleagues,

I'm experiencing Servers Alive version 9.0.2805 unstable in my environment. I
receive timeout errors for my ping tests (and "exe process alive" tests) even
while manual ping from command prompt answers in 10-100 ms.

Have tried:
- Different hardware (old laptop vs. new virtual machine)
- Different OS (Win 7 vs. Win 2012)
- More time between cycle runs (2 min vs. 9 min)
- Sent log files to supp...@woodstone.nu (got some help but no final solution)

Also scheduled windows boot once a week. After an boot S-alive works fine 10 -
20 hours, but not more than that. :-(

Demo version worked with 10 checking lines very fine for several months. Now I
have 85 checking lines, it shouldn't be too much?

Have anyone faced similar symptoms? Any workaround ideas?

Hi,

I’m trying to check a HTTPS webpage, but get an error “SSL handshake failed:

The website is on IIS on Win2016. The same check to a similar webpage on IIS on
Win2008R2 is OK.

Still using Servers Alive version 7, I know I should upgrade.
But is upgrade to version 9 the only solution, and is it a solution at all ?

Kind regards,

Re: [SA-List] What feature, checking type or alerting type is missing from Servers Alive?

2017-08-25 Thread Demeulemeester, Pieter
Hi Dirk,

I can think of two things (at this moment :) )

1. Windows Automatic Update

I used to check the health state of Windows Automatic Update by checking 3
registry keys (with a PS1-script and an External Errorlevel Check):

HKLM:\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate\Auto
Update\Results\Detect

HKLM:\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate\Auto
Update\Results\Download

HKLM:\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate\Auto
Update\Results\Install

But since Windows 2016 those registry keys do not exist anymore. :(

It would be nice to have a way to check if the Automatic Update did his job.

I don't mean if the host is up-to-date (it will almost never will), but just
if there weren't errors in the Automatic Update process.

2. AD replication
Microsoft has a very good tool for that, see
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30005
But it seems like they will stop the distribution of it.

- the tool is limited in time. Every few months I have to do a new
download

- about a year ago it wasn't available on the MS download site, only
after a lot of customer complains it came back

- there is a popup saying that I should use MS Operations Manager
Suite
A lot of people are complaining, see
https://windowsserver.uservoice.com/forums/304621-active-directory/suggestions/11701692-bring-back-the-on-prem-ad-replication-status-tool?tracking_code=76b764b65f1c69f691a1094a79f00768

Subject: [SA-list] Servers Alive & Azure (checking)

We're currently working on a new check type for Servers Alive were it would be
possible to check Azure VMs (and as alert start/stop them too).

We would like to know that IF you would use this, would you use this for VMS
that are all within the same subscription or would you use it for several
subscriptions?

(so can we define the Azure subscription within the setup and that for each
entry you would only need a very little details - or do we define the
subscription with each entry?)

RE: Re[2]: [SA-list] Minimum permissions for free disk space check

2016-09-01 Thread Demeulemeester, Pieter
Hi Jonathan,

Two things to consider:

1. NTFS rights on the drive/folder (i.e. C:\)

2. Rights on the network share (i.e. \\SERVER\C$)

Local admins have sufficient rights on both levels, as you already knew.

I suppose “Backup Operators” or “Network Configuration Operators” could
help you out, didn’t test it though.

I understand the concern of DBA/Network admin. Just guessing that the Service
Account you mentioned is just a simple account with “password never
expires” and used for running Servers Alive service. Personally I use a
“Managed Service Account”. That’s a special type of account in AD
version 2008R2 (and up), see
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd560633(v=ws.10).aspx
(https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd560633(v=ws.10).aspx). A
Managed Service Account still has to be member of the Local Admins group. The
advantage is that it changes its password every 30 (I think) days and modifies
the service automatically.

Maybe your DBA can agree with that.

Finally: the problem is not related to Servers Alive. I advise you to test it
with:

- logon to the Servers Alive server with your Service Account (can’t
do that with a Managed Service Account, because nobody knows its password)

- Type “dir \\SERVER\C$” at a CLI prompt

Kind regards,

Pieter

And other drives? I was actually asking about the “S” drive on one of my
systems, but the email conversation changed to “C”. I’m assuming now that
C drive permissions are special, and different from other drives, correct?

c$ is an admin share, you have to be an admin on the target machine to
use/access this share.

See if you can get C shared out as ready-only (and a different share name other
than 'C') to the service account you are trying to use.

Otherwise you will need to go into the registry and local security settings on
the machine to change permissions of the c$ share.

Hi Dirk,

Yes, I guess that’s what I’m asking. What access rights need to be given on
the C$ share in order for a service account to read disk space?

I have given the service account full rights on the C drive (not an option),
and it didn’t work. I added service account to local admins (not an option)
and it *did* work. I added service account to “performance monitor users”
group and it didn’t work.

Thanks,

On Windows Server 2013, what are the minimum permissions required for servers
alive to read available disk space via a disk space check of the format:
file://SERVERNAME/C$ (file:///\\SERVERNAME\C$) ??

I want to use a service account to carry out the check, but DBA / Networks do
not want to give the service account more than bare minimum permissions
(understandably) to report on available disk space. SO far I have only had
success when I place the service account in the local administrators group (not
an option).

Does the failure say timed out? For me that usually indicates the file is huge

I have several FileProperties external COM checks that were working fine for
months until a few weeks ago. Now they are timing out even if I increase the
Timeout value upwards from 5 seconds. I usually check the last write date of
oldest matching file. Some details and things Ive tried:

- Rebooted server

- Changed network checks to local, authentication is blank (local file)

- Split out 15 checks to different start times out of 12 cycles

- Upgraded to 2.0 build 60

- Older Salive 7.2.2638

- Older Windows 2003 SP2

- Running as service

- Server load is low, but does peak to 100% during check cycle

- When running Check Entry now it is always correct

RE: [SA-list] ErrorLevel AGAIN

2015-12-10 Thread Demeulemeester, Pieter
Hi,

I use the External (errorlevel) check with success. If fact,
its one of my favorite checks because it allows to check
everything I want, as far as I can do a command line check.

I use it with CMD-files and PS1-files. Not with BAT-files, but in most cases
you can just rename the BAT into a CMD file.

I have 2 dummy batches (CMD and PS1) which I use to troubleshoot the check in
SA :

1. AlwaysError5.cmd

exit /B 5

2. AlwaysError5.ps1

exit 5

My config:

·SA version 7.2.2628

·Win2012

·External (errorlevel) check, Alarm when MyBatchFile.cmd is <> from 0,
Kill the external application when not stopped in time=ON, Timeout=5 sec.

Kind regards,

Pieter

Subject: RE: [SA-list] ErrorLevel AGAIN

I think the answer is simple. Servers Alive can capture the ERRORLEVEL set by
the application that is actualy executed. And to execute a .BAT file the OS
will (behind the scene) launch the command interpreter and this command
interpreter will execute your BAT file. The errorlevel we get back in Servers
Alive is the one that is set by the command interpreter, not the one by the
.BAT file executed within the command interpreter.

If you start a command prompt and then the .BAT file, the OS can directly
execute the .BAT without having to start another command interpreter. And then
it's possible to see the actual errorlevel that is returned by the .BAT file.

I personaly don't see a way to get the errorlevel back into SA when the OS is
not returning it via the command interpreter back to the actual caller (SA).

So the answer is (I think) it's not possible with a .BAT file.

no quotes or extra characters. The batch file is running because it writes

[SA-list] WMI external COM check example

2015-06-16 Thread Demeulemeester, Pieter
Hi Dirk and SA users,

Is there a manual for the WMI External COM check ?

Or does anyone have some examples ?

I want to read the system board temperature of a server.

In Powershell it looks like this :

PS C:\ get-wmiobject cim_temperaturesensor -namespace root\cimv2\dell | select
Name, CurrentReading, CreationClassName

Because the server has three temperature sensors (board, CPU1 and CPU2), I have
to filter on #8220;name=System Board Inlet Temp#8221;

get-wmiobject cim_temperaturesensor -namespace root\cimv2\dell | where
{$_.name -eq System Board Inlet Temp} | select Name, CurrentReading,
CreationClassName

In Servers Alive I have this :

Server = servername

Namespace = cimv2\dell

#8230;

Class = cim_temperaturesensor

Properties = CurrentReading

Filter = ??? I left this one blank, so I get the temperature of the last
one (being CPU2)

(all other options left default)

What shoul I type in the #8220;Filter#8221; field ?

Kind regards,

Pieter

RE: [SA-list] SQL server checks

2015-05-06 Thread Demeulemeester, Pieter
Hi all,

I prefer not to install SQL DMO (or SQL SMO since version SQL 2008r2) on the
SQL servers because
- have to get an agreement of the SQL administrators
- have to do that on multiple SQL servers
- have to upgrade that on multiple SQL servers

That's why I installed the Native SQL Client and the SQL Command Line Utilities
(sqlcmd.exe) on the Servers Alive server. Both are part of the SQL server
(2012) feature Pack.
See http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=29065, look for
sqlncli.msi and SqlCmdLnUtils.msi.

Now I can use an External (errorlevel) check that triggers a CMD-job with an
sqlcmd.exe syntax in it.

Example: sqlcmd.exe -S TCP:SQL_Server,Instance_Port_Number -d SQL_Database -i
file.txt
file.txt contains the SQL query

Kind regards,
Pieter

So not only give the status on the db, but also the ability to execute a
SQL statement and/or stored-procedure?
Not sure if SQL SMO is able to do that.

For some time we have a SQL server check in Servers Alive. This check
is based on SQL DMO, and only works with realy old version of SQL.
For newer versions of SQL we have the add-on, however not for the
 newest version of SQL.

There are some questions surrounding that.
  * what version(s) of SQL are you using (and want to check)
  * do you see it as a problem if the 'support' for those old versions
of SQL (upto SQL2000) would be removed from Servers Alive
  * do you prefer it to be a build-in check (like the current SQL DMO
based one) or do you prefer an external COM check for it

o With Intergration services are checked/unchecked (ex. Time Sync)

o Existence of a snapshot (I doesn#8217;t want that on my production

o Name of the hostserver

We use Hyper-V here. CPU Utilization, Memory usage, machine state (running,
paused, stopped) would be the most useful checks. However hyper-v function
alerts would be even more useful. Check the hyper-v State it is paused, then
Start/resume virtual machine alert kicks off.

Basically I'd like to present a simple to read up or down status on a large

utilizing jQuery requires the use of div tags, which of course have
 to
be properly closed. Because I want to use collapsible sets that use
sa_hostname as the section title, I need to use nested saif blocks.
 It
sort of seems to work in one example and then not in another.

My question is whether nested saif blocks is expected to work or not.

For more detail (if it matters), here’s the logic
 I’m finding
 myself
 trying to run through:

 * In the header (before sa_report tag) I open a div tag with
 attribute

 * For ONLY the very first entry inside the sa_report tag, I need to
 open
a div tag with attribute of data-role=â€Å
 “collapsibleâ€. I can’t
 have a
/div tag first, or that would close the above section I just opened.
 * For every next entry, if the sa_hostname is the same as the previous
one, I don’t want to close or open a new div tag at this
 level
  * However, if the sa_hostname is new, I need to close out the
previous div tag at this level and start a new one.
 * After the closing /sa_report tag I have the last /div tag to
 close
out the hanging collapsible for the last entry in the report, then I
 have
another /div tag to close out the collapsibleset started in the
 header.

To accomplish this, I’m using the following snippet of code:

 —SNIP—
 div data-role=collapsibleset data-inset=false
!-- End of header for Servers Alive --
 sa_report sort=NOGROUP,CSTATUS,HOSTNAME
 saif sa_previous_hostname_in_html IS div

Hi Dirk,

Any change in building this ?

1. A check to verify a value and/or existence of a registry key.
I do this with an External Errorlevel Check now (and a script), but it
would be nice to have that as a native check. It could be an external
COM check.

2. A check to verify if a mail has arrived.
Something like the second half of the SMTP2POP3 check that already
exists, but based on the subject of a message (not the timestamp
generated by SA). And an Alert that passes the subject as a parameter.
Example:
- Mail with subject = help me is send to per...@domain.com
- SA monitors that mailbox with POP3, reads the message, sets an alert
and deletes the message.
- SA triggers an Alert (type Execute Command) and starts an application
with parameter help me

Kind regards,
Pieter

2014-10-06 Thread Demeulemeester, Pieter
Hi all,

I'm prepared to make my template available to the community. Where can I post
it ?

It looks like this (based on a test entries file):

Also, in that context, I would prefer some kind of a 'real' forum (instead of
the mailing list) where we can post questions and answers. Seems to me it would
be easier to search for old questions and answers.

Kind regards,

Pieter

I agree Anthony.

Dirk has created a wonderfully flexible template system, and it#8217;s been a
call by many (including myself) in the more than the 12 years I#8217;ve been
using SA. One of my simple templates use to be available on the SA site. But
others provided far better than I could produce with added scripting etc.

In the early days, there were a few that hosted their own shared templates,
then Dirk kindly provided space on the Woodstone site to host them. However
there were/are only a few users that have ever answered the call. And of course
we all thank them for that. I think for the most part, us Admins lacked either
the time or the skill set to #8216;create#8217; nice looking functional
templates that suit our specific needs.

If the templates are not forthcoming within the community, then we could either
pay a third party web designer to create them, or see if Dirk has any solutions
/connections. Maybe call out to the community to see what users want in a
template. Then there is the question of recovering development time and costs.
Would anyone be willing to pay for templates?

How about some additional report/output templates? I have the one that was
shared a while ago. But maybe different templates we can use or share? Or if
any out there has made their own report web pages can you share? This way we
can at-a-glance see things up or down for anyone to view via a webpage.

Dirk,

How's the separation of the Check engine from the GUI on the road map? Or is
that no longer an issue. I haven't deployed 7.2 yet so I cannot speak to
potential improvements in that area. Maybe use of a DB for the host check
list has solved the slow updates while a check cycle was active?

Thanks

One feature I would really use is the ability to search within the tree to
quickly locate an item. Find, Find next match.

Hit F3 or just start typing.

In terms of reporting, it would be wonderful to offer sliced views of the
 data on separate URLs #8230;

This can be done by creating a second (third, etc..) Output HTML template.

See Setup : Output/HTML page/Default page, [Add]

In terms of reporting, it would be wonderful to offer sliced views of the data
on separate URLs. For example, say I monitor 50 things but I have one customer
interested in watching just 15 of them, and s/he has no business looking at the
other items. It would be nice to show that person the status report for those
selected 15 items. It doesn't have to be high security with login, it could
just be unique URLs reporting on a set of checks.

Best,
Ann

Not sure if we are talking about the same. The Check Entry Now option was
available in previous versions.

It is still in the manual of SA 7.2, page 20.

In previous versions (prior to version 2607, I think) any change to the entries
file had to be saved (of course) and a restart of the service was necessary.

In recent versions, a restart wasn't necessary anymore. Or better, it was done
by the GUI application automatically.

I assumed that that functionality made it impossible to have the Check Entry
Now option.

Peter Anderson: but all checks are set up for specific authentication

I find it easier to use an account for the *service* Servers Alive.  In that
case you only have to specify credentials once. Recently I run Servers Alive on
a Win2012 server with a Managed Service Account (Win2008R2 Active Directory
environment).

I was running the GUI as a local administrator that doesn’t
have rights to the other systems, but all checks are set up for specific
authentication.  When run in app-only mode on this other IP, the service
checks succeed.

The GUI is running under 'your' context and probably you have rights on the
remote system.

The issue is probably the user that is configured for the check itself.

Yes and I admit it is possible there were two instances running (could that
cause this error?).  It will be an hour or maybe a day before I can swap
the new hardware back into production.  Right now it is running on another
IP address and service only and the same service checks are not failing
according to the HTML pages.

[SA-list] calculate timestamp for Mailflow check

2014-06-03 Thread Demeulemeester, Pieter
Hi,

I have a question about the Mailflow COM check.

The message that is send contains a timestamp in the subject field, ex.
SMTP2POP3 97421820140603.

It is obvious that the last part 20140603 refers to the date 2014, july, 3th.

Is it possible to calculate the time from the first part 974218 ?

In this example the message was send at 11:07.

Kind regards,

Pieter

Here is my script.
The most important lines are :

1. reg.exe EXPORT HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\DBU Consulting\Servers

2. 7za.exe a C:\ServersAlive\Backup\%$ZIP% C:\ServersAlive\config
= makes a copy of my entries file and HTML templates (in folder
C:\ServersAlive\config) and puts it into a ZIP file
7za.exe is 7-zip CLI tool.

3. 7za.exe a C:\ServersAlive\Backup\%$ZIP% C:\ProgramData\Woodstone

= makes a copy the groups.grp file and appends it into a ZIP-file

The environment variable %$ZIP% contains a timestamp, ex. mmdd -

Following are the variables whose values may be checked by saif, /saif and

Thanks for the response. I've done some reading already.

Seems like I can't find the correct syntax for saif with sa_checkresponse.
The PDF does not contain the word 'sa_checkresponse'.

I was (still am) hoping that someone can give me an example.

The command you described would not output an error level. You can create a
batch file or a vbs using that command and an if loop to set the error level.

In SA v7 we still have some IM options, some of them are no longer
working (as the service no longer exists or got integrated into another
one).
We would like to know IF you still want IM as alerting and if so what
type/kind of IM you would like to have in SA.

What can be done (and is not yet done :-)), is to have the %h,%p and %r vars
within the checks. (we will have implement this for each check independantly).

For %w (IP address) I will be able to do the following
* if the IP is known we replace %w with the known IP
* if the IP is not known we replace %w with the hostname (%h)

I'll try to implement these changes over the weekend, hopefully for all
checktypes.

If you create new entries via the IMPORT feature, then the hostnames will be
adapted correctly, even within the check definition :-)

I see a use for %h, %p and %r as they are known within SA when the check is
created. The %w is however not known. This means that the 1st time a check is
done we can't use %w as the IP address isn't known yet.

Also the %h, %p and %r are known within SA but not within the COM checks, this
means that we would have to convert the % parameters before the enter the COM
part.

Let me have a look at it and see if and how this can be done.

The %h would be the most useful, but maybe %w (IP address) as well.
Or suppose for an External Errorlevel Check I could use the %p or %r
as parameters for a CMD job. Just a thought.

On the other hand, it would be handy that the server name shouldn't
be given twice, at least for some checks. Suppose (and I do) copy a
Diskspace Check for the C-drive for Server1, just to make a similar
check for Server2. Now I have to change the server name on 2 places,
once on the General tab and once in the Check definition.
I can live with it though, just trying to optimize things.

Like the parameters that are available for the SMTP Alerts (ex. %h,

 Examples:

This is indeed the case and also within the interface (main interface) you
won't see the parameters of your commandline.

I added a registry switch to the latest beta (http://beta.woodstone.nu

Have a go with that version and let me know if it works fine for you.

RE: [SA-list] The feature you always wanted in Servers Alive but always were afraid to ask

2013-11-18 Thread Demeulemeester, Pieter
The feature you always wanted in Servers Alive but always were afraid to ask

I finally found some (that's a good sign isn't it)

middot;Separate entries files for each group.

As a consequence :

-SA should be able to read multiple entries files and append them.

-In Setup, General, Startup, Hostfile : should be a multiple line input
box (and corresponding reg-key)

Ex. : All entries in the file servers.txt contains all the checks in group
servers, all those in printers.txt in group printers etc#8230;

This way it would be easy to create a set of entries on one instance of SA, and
copy/move it to another instance of SA.

middot;Easy way to move up and down an entry one line. Now SA only
allows to move to first or last entry in the group/list.

Pieter

RE: [SA-list] Remote icon

2012-07-09 Thread Demeulemeester, Pieter
I had some troubles too when I started with SA (version 7) on Win2008R2
recently, until I changed my way of working.

This is how I do it now :

-Run SA as a service

o with credentials of a local administrator (a service account) on the
machines I want to monitor.

o that process does the checks.

-For editing the check list I start SA interactively

o with parameter /guionly (C:\Program Files (x86)\Woodstone\Servers
Alive\serversalive.exe /guionly)

o run it on the SA server

o use my own credentials (also local admin)

o after each change I have to save the entries file and stop/start the service

If I don't us the /guionly switch, both processes (service and interactive) use
the same entries files, which leads to corruption of that file.

I do not use the Remote Icon. I'm not suggesting that the Remote Icon is a bad
thing though (actually I never tested it - yet), but the method described above
works fine for me.

Kind regards,

Pieter

RE: [SA-list] Domain account status query

2012-05-30 Thread Demeulemeester, Pieter
You could use an External (errorlevel) check that calls a CMD file.

In the CMD you can use dsquery.exe or dsget.exe (or a VBS or #8230;) to query
the status of an account.

Kind regards,

Pieter

Subject: [SA-list] Domain account status query

Hi All,

I am wondering if there is a way to query the status of a domain account, e.g.,
alert when a particular user account becomes locked out?

I have been informed that my predecessor, the implementer of our Servers Alive
installation, had a check set up to query the status of a particular account.
But I can not find any checks performing this type of query, or any info on
setting this type of check up in the documentation.

Is there documentation on setting such a query up, am I missing it?

Thanks
Barry

RE: [SA-list] Ideas for new COM checks

2012-05-11 Thread Demeulemeester, Pieter
Hi Dirk,

Maybe something for checking a SQL Database. I know you provided already the
Database (Microsoft SQL) check, but that requires installation of DMO on the
SQL servers (or SMO on SQL 2008 r2). Not always possible or desirable or ...

We made a work around by installing the native SQL client and SQLcmd.exe on
the SA server and created a CMD that does the same thing. Both files
sqlncli.msi and SqlCmdLnUtils.msi downloadable from
http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=16978
(http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=16978) .

Then I added a External (errorlevel) check based on a CMD :

::Pieter Demeulemeester

::26/03/2012

::Controleert de beschikbaarheid van een database op een SQL server

::

::  %1 : servername or ip

::  %2 : instancename

::  %3 : databasename

@echo on

Set $SERVER=%1

Set $INSTANCE=%2

Set $DATABASE=%3

pushd C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Tools\Binn

sqlcmd.exe -l 60 -S TCP:%$SERVER%\%$INSTANCE% -d %$DATABASE% -q quit

Set $RESULT=%ERRORLEVEL%

popd

exit /B %$RESULT%

It works, but it would be easier (a nice-to-have feature) to have a built-in
solution without the CMD.

Kind regards,

Pieter

We're looking for some good ideas for new COM checks for Servers Alive.

If you have a specific checking need and it can't be done with Servers Alive,

then please share that with us..and maybe we'll make a COM check for it :-)

RE: [SA-list] SA on 64 bit

2012-05-11 Thread Demeulemeester, Pieter
Can I do this :

1. install the new version on an a temp server

2. copy the file 'serversalive.exe' from the temp server to the production
servers where Servers Alive version 7.0.2509 is already installed ?

Kind regards,

Pieter

If you're using Servers Alive v7 on a 64 bit OS, then it would be better to move

over to the current beta (http://Beta.woodstone.nu (http://Beta.woodstone.nu))
instead of using the release

v7 .

There were some weird registry issues with the release which are solved in the

beta.

RE: [SA-list] SA on 64 bit

2012-05-11 Thread Demeulemeester, Pieter
And what's the difference ?

I guess some registry keys new to this version won't be created.  Does
serversalive.exe uses default values for variables that are retrieved from the
registry ?  And will those keys be created once I change an option in the GUI ?

If have to update several installations and I'm searching for the easiest way,
like copy a file.

Little update on this:

doing a REAL install over the existing installation will be
different then just copying the serversalive.exe file
