HVAC System Plans

1998-07-31 Thread Nancy B.
I asked my husband what hvac meant; he rattled off,
heating, ventilation and air conditioning!

Well, then when I told him it had to do with making CS, he
got it.

He got real interested when I told him how much the
Motherlode the CSPro units cost.

Now he wants plans to make his own, rather than shell out
$500+ for someone else's labor.

Does anyone have plans for such?

Could someone here that's also on the rife list ask this for
me on Rife too, and get back to me or give them my email
address (bernt...@altavista.net or

Many thanks!

I send this to bjs. He asked that I share it with the list.

We have no problem at all with shingles. Chuck, his father, and
his grandmother all have had shingles. His grandmother
developed them about 3 or 4 years ago and still has them.
Chuck used Zovirax for his (they were in his eye,) and it
did NOTHING. The danger that he'd soon be blind was large.
He started rectally insufflating ozone, and they healed within
2 or 3 days. When his father came down with them 3 or so
weeks ago, he asked to come over and use the ozone machine.
His had not even broken through the skin when he began the
ozone. They broke through immediately after his first
treatment, and dried up within a week.

Chuck's face has continued to itch for the 2 years since the
shingles until he started splashing his face and the area over
the ganglia where the shingles reside with CS. Maybe it's
psychosomatic, but he doesn't itch. We'll take it!!
 Whatever the cause!!

Testing for TDS...

1998-07-31 Thread Paul Bembower

Mike and silver-listers: I talked to a gentleman named Pete at Hanna
Instruments in Rhode Island, and told him exactly what it is I'm trying
to do with CS, and what range of PPM I am trying to achieve. He originally
had intended to suggest the $15 TDS-1 or the $46 DiST-WP1, but upon further
reflection he suggested what they call the PWT. It has a range of
0-99.9 uS/cm (micro-Siemens). 1 micro-Siemen/cm is equivalent,
Peter says, to 2 mg/l or 2 ppm. So, you could use this instrument,
which has an accuracy of 2% of full scle (or 2 uS/cm) on CS with an actual
TDS of 12ppm, and get a reading of 22-26 uS/cm. This number is easily
and, perhaps more accurately, translated into a reading of 11-13 ppm, an
accuracy of +/- 1 ppm.

Further, Hanna can supply a calibration solution for $8.40/460mL, which,
if properly cared for, could last for a very long time. The calibration
standard is at 84 uS/cm, which is 42 ppm, and is much closer to our range
than anything we could manufacture reliably ourselves.
Before I spend anything on this, I'd like to know what some of you
think of this.

You can look at this on-line at:

Darkfield microscopy

1998-07-31 Thread Jeffrey La Favre
Here is a response to questions by Johan and Jim.

Darkfield microscopy is accomplished by using a special condenser. The
condenser delivers a hollow cone of light with the tip of the cone focused
on the specimen. The angle of the light rays is such that all of the light
misses the microscope objective, thus causing a dark field of view.
However, a specimen can refract or reflect some of the impinging light and
divert it into the microscope objective. Therefore, objects in the specimen
appear to be bright against a dark background.

With this type of specimen illumination it is possible to detect objects
even when they are smaller than the resolution limit of the microscope.
However, this does not mean that you can measure their size, at least not
directly.

A similar situation is known in astronomy. When you look at the stars at
night with the naked eye, they appear as pin points of light. Because of
their vast distance, the diameters of stars can't be resolved by the naked
eye. In fact, even when one observes the stars with the most powerful
telescopes on Earth, they still look like pin points of light because their
diameters are too small to be resolved!!! Nevertheless, the stars are seen
easily, we just can't see their shape or measure their diameters (although
astronomers have special techniques to measure the diameter of stars).

Here is an example that most of us have seen. Early during the day, or late
in the day, when the sun shines through a window, it is easy to see dust
floating in the air. These particles are much too small to be resolved by
the naked eye, yet we can see them. The operating principle in this case is
similar to the darkfield microscope.

So the question is, can you measure a smaller particle size with darkfield
illumination than brightfield? Perhaps you could push the theoretical
resolution limit slightly with darkfield. Suppose you could measure a
particle with a 0.1 micron diameter using darkfield compared to 0.2 micron
with brightfield. Will this help our research significantly? I don't think
so but correct me if I am wrong.

But there is one thought I had. Perhaps one could estimate the relative
size of CS particles in a darkfield according to how bright they appear. If
the amount of light diverted by a CS particle is proportional to its size,
then larger particles should appear brighter in the field than smaller
particles.

To do darkfield work you need to pay attention to the numerical apertures of
the condenser and objective. The numerical aperture should be stamped on
the body of the condenser and the barrel of the objective. For example, an
Abbe condenser (for brightfield work) typically has a numerical aperture of
1.25. This is a measure of the cone of light it will deliver to the
specimen. The numerical aperture of the objective is a measure of the cone
of light that it will accept from the specimen. A typical achromat objective
of 100 power (oil immersion) will have a numerical aperture of 1.25, a high
dry objective of 40 power will have a numerical aperture of about 0.65.

You also need to have some understanding about the refractive indices of
different materials. Air has a refractive index of 1.0, water 1.33, glass
1.5. If you want to use the full numerical aperture of an Abbe condenser,
it is necessary to apply immersion oil between the condenser and the bottom
of the specimen slide. Without the oil, you limit the numerical aperture to
just below 1.0 because the refractive index of air is 1.0 (i.e., light rays
of a greater angle will be reflected at the glass to air interface and not
proceed into the specimen).

My darkfield condenser has a numerical aperture of 1.33. The cutoff for the
inner surface of the hollow cone of light it delivers is 1.2 (condenser is
stamped with 1.33 - 1.2). Therefore, this condenser would be totally
useless if it is not oiled to the slide (or one could use water since it has
a refractive index the same as the NA of this condenser). If you don't oil
this condenser to the bottom of the slide, all of the light from the
condenser will be reflected off the glass-air interface and none will reach
the specimen.

Now if I want to use my high power objective with this condenser, I have a
problem. Some of the light from my condenser will enter the objective
because it has a higher NA (1.25) than the inner cutoff of the condenser
(1.2). In order to overcome this problem, my objective is fitted with an
adjustable iris (like in a 35 mm camera) which can be used to stop down the
objective (i.e., reduce the NA). Then the iris is stopped down just until
the field becomes dark. At this point I have maximum resolution with a dark
background.

What if you don't have an iris in your high power immersion objective? If
it has a higher NA than the cutoff of your condenser you have a problem.
You could try to fashion a stop to insert inside your objective but I would
not recommend doing this. In this case you will probably

many down to 0.1 microns. I did find one interesting entry, Alumina

So careful filtration/separation techniques could be used.

Why `tis Australian Tea Tree Oil, from the Melaleuca alternifolia tree,

Sure is good stuff. With it and CS, who needs docs, other than for injuries,

Allow me to urge caution with colloidal silver. CS destroys enzyme activity;
supplemental enzymes (preferably injected) will be very important. My own
experience also demonstrated that CS does burn skin tissues, during prolonged
exposure/tissue contact. This would then indicate that the gastrointestinal
tract and stomach lining will be harmed by prolonged use of CSilver. I have
found CS useful for short term uses; as indeed hospitals do -- for certain
wound dressings. Though, using CS, my minor but persistent tinea condition
was in remission for a time, the condition returned with a vengeance. My
experience indicates, and personal view is, that CS is not a cure all; and
very probably has significant problems during prolonged use. Enzyme therapy
is quite probably a useful alternative adjunct, along with supplemental
amino acids and plant based minerals.

It sounds like you have colloidal silver and hydrogen peroxide mixed up.
When you put CS onto your skin, do little bubbles form?

Yes, it could seem like that. It was indeed CS that produced the skin burn,
but only after prolonged exposure. Cotton wool _repeatedly_ soaked in CS
and held on the area over about two weeks. Anyone can try this with a cotton
swab plastered to their hand, and repeatedly soaked in CS, for about two
weeks. This is probably equivalent to regularly drinking CS. I've not noticed
bubbles forming, but perhaps microscopic examination over the 2 week period
would reveal something of that nature.

Destruction of enzymes by silver molecules was indicated in one of Roger
Cathey's substantial papers on enzyme therapy; which also seems consistent
with the skin burn i've experienced. Indeed, the beneficial action of silver
on bacteria is probably the same action which destroys enzymes. Do a word
search on silver in Roger's papers to confirm Roger's comment; though as
mentioned my own experience seems to also confirm the comment.

Re: Silver and immunity

1998-07-31 Thread Philip Collins
Hello Deb and everyone:

This story seems to me to illustrate the virtue of giving your immune system
a chance to fight off any bug it catches thoroughly *before* coming to the
rescue with CS, with electromedicine, with antibiotics, or with *any*
external anti-microbial. If your immune system is able to fight off the
invaders, it will do so by creating antibodies against the invader--enough
antibodies, and strong-enough ones, to defeat the enemy. After the invaders
are gone, you retain the antibodies for an extended period of time--in some
cases for life. They, in turn will protect you in the future. Of course
there will be times when we need CS or something like it. But for the most
part, it is best to let the immune system take care of the infection on its
own, as long as it seems to be doing so effectively.

Whitney

I was reading the silver topic on a pet related list today and someone
that
uses it said that she used it on her young daughter for chicken pox and the
pox
were gone in 48 hours BUT, she said this left the child with no immunity to
the

opinions on
this one?? Deb

1998 International Rife Technology Conference

Details are at
http://www.kalamark.com/rife_conference/

PLEASE PASS THIS ONTO OTHER LISTS THAT YOU BELIEVE MAY BE INTERESTED.

The 15th of August is the cut off date for EARLY registration.
EARLY REGISTRATION rewards you with a reduced admission cost.
Take advantage of the savings. Phone Gary and Lucille now. Their number

For those coming to the Conference and arriving by commercial airline
BOOK your flight right into Comox and do it at least 4 weeks ahead of your
actual travel dates. This usually assures you of substantially reduced
airfares.

Last year a number of attendees flew to Vancouver International then
purchased the
shuttle flight into Comox. The cost was around $100 more than what it
would have
been if the two flights had been booked together.

If you are flying in let us know and you will be met at the airport
and taken to your accommodation.

It is also most important that attendees make their reservations for
accommodation soon.
Details are at the Conference Web site stated above. USE the 1-800 numbers.

Some display table space is available. Please don't leave this until the
last minute
if you are wanting to show your wares.

ATTENDEE NAMES WILL STILL BE KEPT CONFIDENTIAL. Name tags will show
first names with nearest large city to where you reside. Guest speaker
names
will be identified in full.

My best to you all

I respectivly disagree. There are those that want other people to
tell them what to do with their money, and there are those that
would like to make that decision for themselves.

Oops! sheepish I didn't mean to imply that I would force anyone to
do anything. Everyone makes their own choices. If I am misreading the
issue I want to be overruled. I should have made that clearer.

I would think that people will just tell us what they're willing to
contribute to and when. If they're concerned they can't give to
both maybe they can reduce their pledge to the other fund? We've
gotten over half way there without anyone even mentioning a shift of
their pledge, so I hope there might not even be an issue to worry
about. Both will be intact and successful in their time?

We should error on the safe side. Just think of it as a little tax
cut for the already over exceeded goal.

I just wonder if that testing isn't going to end up taking every
penny we're willing to throw at it? Not a criticism of the idea,
which I support fully, but rather acceptance of several corollaries
to Murphy's Law! grin

I guess this is unpopular with the higher ups around here. It is
really starting to turn me off to be honest.

There really are no higher ups around here. Sometimes a bigmouth
with diarrhea of the keyboard at this end, but I'm trying. When I open
a digest like I did today and see several posts in a row by me I
cringe. I don't see myself as *boss* and don't want to be taken that
way. I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable.

I won't shut down the list or kick people off for choosing a
different way to achieve our goals, or for wanting to change those
goals. It would be wrong to do such things to people that I value. If
the mission ever shifted so far I felt I couldn't honor it, I'd ask
to be replaced. What other options do I have?

And I'm serious when I compare the notion of controlling this group
of individuals to herding cats. I'm astounded by (and grateful for)
the patience you've all had with me. You've accepted my influence to
a greater degree than I have any right to expect. I don't intend to
overreach the bounds of your consent.

We as a group can do anything we want, and we will. Once they
start controlling the money, there will be none. Let's keep it
 clean as we can.

I don't plan to touch any money myself, so whatever you folks agree
on to keep things clean I'll go for. Each list member will decide
for themselves if the safeguards are adequate.

My only real authority in this aspect of list operation is as a
gatekeeper to prevent us being hassled or overwhelmed by unwelcome
and incessant solicitations, in defense of the non-commercial nature
of the forum. Again, I'm sorry if I didn't make myself clear.

If Doug feels we can afford to hold off on those ppm assays long
enough to work out the initial standard recipe, and a few of us want
to do it, then we can go that route. I'm waiting to hear if that's
acceptable.

I'll have to go get some 14 ga silver wire, since I've been using 12
ga. Other than that I'm ready to breadboard whatever generator design
we decide to run with.

Be well,

Take your average batch of CS just after production, test it with a
TDS1 or similar, then run it through the filter you're now using

Is there a drop in the reading? If so, is this drop really
reflecting a filtering out of coarse particles, or is it caused by
charged particles being attracted to the filter media, and being
 held there?

Try filtering the same batch again in a new filter? See if the ppm
reading drops again by a similar or somewhat smaller amount. Other
than filter inefficiency, there shouldn't be much to remove on the
second pass.

Also, try two different volumes to test, different by a factor of
two. If it's an effect of the filter surface area adsorbing particles
the smaller sample will see a larger drop in ppm than the bigger
sample, since the rest of the CS in the bigger sample will go through
essentially unfiltered after the surface saturates. (If that's not
clear, don't worry. It's pretty murky to me too!) grin

I think these *might* be valid tests. Just guessing at this point.

Subject: Correction to formula for resolution of light microscope
 Date: Wed, 29 Jul 1998 23:31:35 -0400
 Reply-to: silver-list@eskimo.com

Hi Jeff,
If I got this right, a good light microscope will see down to 0.2
microns, and, would a darkfield see even better? Maybe down to 0.1
micron or less? Sounds like were getting close to seeing what we need
to see!
Thanks for the math!
Jim

In double checking my message I discovered an error in the resolution
formula. The correct formula is given below:

 R = wavelength/ (2)(numerical aperture)

 Then the resolution would be:

 R = 0.5 microns/ (2)(1.3) =  0.2 microns

Therefore, the smallest particle that can be measured directly by a good
light microscope is about 0.2 microns in diameter.

Sorry for the error in my first message. Hope I have it correct this time!

I posted a query regarding these two water borne parasites to the rife

and
cryptosporidium ?Apparently they survive chlorine UV exposure
undeterred, but can be boiled to death. There is a major concern in

My guess is that ozonating might be effective,as this has been in use by
local

a challenge for measuring cs kill using these 'strong' bugs?
What do you think?
