CSBuilding strong blood Vessels

2007-06-18 Thread metaphor

Hello Listers ,
To the question re : How do we build strong blood vessels : Look to
the herb 'Hawthorn . Hawthorn Berries

Hawthorn is traditionally known for its strong and powerful effect on
the circulatory system, particularly the heart. It has been used for
centuries with great success, especially in Europe. Even today it
remains a favorite among herbalists as a cardiac tonic. Hawthorn is
valued for nourishing blood pressure and circulation. When used on a
regular, long-term basis hawthorn exerts a continued protection to
the cardiovascular system.

HAWTHORN, THE HEART-HELPING HERB

In both Western and Chinese Herbology, Hawthorne berries and flowers
are most traditionally used to help the heart, and it is heartening
to note that, according to the Herb Society of America's Herbal
Encyclopedia, Unlike most medicinal plants that act on the heart,
hawthorn is relatively non-toxic, although they are quick to add the
reminder about the seriousness of heart conditions and the necessity
for treatment by qualified practitioners.

Hawthorn berries, fresh or dried, are the parts most generally used,
in tea or tincture (or commercially in capsules) medicinally. When
dried, they fade a little, and look almost like Cinnabar, wrinkled,
rosy, and very lovely. In Western Herbology these berries are
considered a strong heart tonic, with the ability to stabilize
cholesterol counts as well as blood pressure, by raising low pressure
and reducing high pressure, and is therefore an herb of choice for
hypertension as well as hypotension. They have also proven
effective, for generations, centuries even, in regulating rapid or
arrhythmic heart beat, inflammation of the heart muscle, angina,
arteriosclerosis, and disease or degeneration of the heart valves and
blood vessels. Because it strengthens the heart and the ability of
the heart to process the blood flow, it improves the condition of the
vessels through which the blood flows and the general circulation in
the body. Therefore, although heart problems can occur at any age,
Hawthorn is one of the first herbs considered when the conditions
relate to aging and the heart problems that frequently accompany aging.

Hawthorn is also effective for insomnia that can accompany
over-active mental stimulation, digestion problems, or chronic stress
and for palpitations which may have many causes, including:
allergies, menopause, fear, athletic challenge, sexual excitement,
anticipation of upcoming events, caffeine, cigarettes, alcohol,
etc. As a nervous system relaxant, it combines well with other herb
relaxants, such as Lemon Balm, Lime/Linden flowers, Motherwort, and
Passion Flower.

In Chinese Herbology, the berries have long been used to relieve
indigestion from overeating or chronic poor digestion system, as well
as to stimulate a poor appetite, release abdominal distention and
post partum pain. In addition, the green fruit, roasted and charred,
has been used to allay diarrhea and even to treat chronic
dysentery-like symptoms. Hawthorn was named by its botanical
reference C. pinnatifida in the Supplement to the Extension of the
Materia Medica by Zhu Zhen Heng who lived around 1347

Those numbers are generally on the monthly card statement BTW.

Incidentally, it's OK to store either type of CS in a suitable non

The ionic charge doesn't leak off as the myth says and a particulate

Further, Pure silver and it's Oxides and Hydroxides don't react to

If it does react, you have something other than silver and water.

2007-06-18 Thread nessie

Well..
I will try and help a little here.. 1 Teaspoon is equal to
4.72 gms.. Note that's grams which is 1720 milligrams.
 So 1 Teaspoon is
also equal to 4720 mgms (Milligrams)
Therefore 1/4 Teaspoon is equal to 4720/4 which
equals approx 1180 Milligrams..
The recomended dosage was 30mg.. a very small amount..
Another way to look at it is to look at some
pills/supplements you might have , check the physical size
of the pill and see how many mg that correlates to on the
label , and that would be ignoring the fillers etc. that they put into
everything
to make them look bigger etc..Might give you some
perspective on size weight etc..

Hi, Dee, I have been wondering if what you are saying here, Dee, may be
contributing to my digestive problems. Speaking of fruit, I am told that
bananas are constipating. I eat quite a few of those in spite of my
constipation since one ought to eat fruit and it is one of the few that work
for my upper digestive tract. Apples and oranges, all citrus fruits give me
problems with my upper tract, also. Also any of the more acid fruits.
Right now I am using less in the banana line, trying out cantalope. It is a
little hard to determine what is causing what since I am also working with a
different doctor, a gastroenterology surgeon who does not want to do surgery
on my bowel unless absolutely necessary. He has requested some testing and
the testing preps always throw everything way off any sort of base. I also
wonder about lettuce, think maybe regular headlettuce might be better than
the romaine I use now. I am really puzzled by all of this, but what you are
saying gives me food for thought. I have wondered about lettuce contributing
to my constipation especially Romaine . I can see how it might clog up the
works, especially if not chewed alot. Perhaps odds and ends of those leaves
stick onto the sides of the colon and other things gather around them? For
me, the trouble with the others is more the acidity, but for you maybe the
stringiness of the outer part may contribute to pileups. Know from
experience how hard these things are to sort out. Have you had any tests,
like for transit time from food in the mouth to residue in the rectum? I
doubt this is very helpful, but sometimes just exchanging ideas is useful.

RE: CSstrong blood vessals -spider veins?

2007-06-18 Thread Wendy
Does lack of strong blood vessels cause spider veins? Or is it mostly in
womens legs because of crossing them for years?

I wonder about dmso, cs applied to spider veins externally and taking
other supplements/herbs for strong blood vessels?

Quite anxious to find a solution/cause! ;-)

Thanks

CSanti-oxidants and Lugol's

2007-06-18 Thread Shirley Reed

Please allow me to pick some of the oh so good brains on this list!!
Several of the Lugol info sites recommend discontinuing the use of Vits. A,
E, and I think even C while using larger amounts of Lugol's-- so the advice
is not to use the antioxidant vitamins while using more or less high dose
iodine. The idea is that iodine is an oxidant. Anybody know for sure just
what will be the results of using the antiO's while using maybe 12 drops of
Lugol's in two divided doses per day?? I am getting good to fabulous
results with Lugol's and I have been taking the antiO's too. Hate to
contemplate not using them!! They are so very good too. Will greatly
appreciate your knowledgeable input. pj

This make we wonder why us lowly humans think we can solve anything. Of

Well..
I will try and help a little here.. 1 Teaspoon is equal to
4.72 gms.. Note that's grams which is 1720 milligrams.
But that depends on the density. That is for, I am guessing water,
right? Borax shows a weight of 1.73 g/cm^3, so in that case it would be
closer to 2 grams per teaspoon. However borax powder has a good bit of
air in it, so maybe not.

Boron is only 10.6% of the weight in borax, so 1,000 mg of borax,
contains only 106 mg of borax, which is only about 3 times high, instead
of 30 times high.

Marshall
  So 1 Teaspoon is
also equal to 4720 mgms (Milligrams)
Therefore 1/4 Teaspoon is equal to 4720/4which
equals approx 1180 Milligrams..

That's about right. Anymore will start to give you a herx if you have

When I took it 3-4 times a day for a week I got quite a herx from it. Backed

CSDigestion System

2007-06-18 Thread CWFugitt

Evening Dee,

At 03:27 AM 6/18/2007, you wrote:

Most doctors advocate high fibre/fruit diets etc.,

I eat, the more constipated I become.

Often the doctors should tell more. More options, more possibilities,
and methods that might help. I guess you know, it is against the law for
them to recommend any treatment that is not AMA approved. Bad News ! (
That is AMA Law )

They make me horribly thirsty. Just wondered if you (or anyone else)
had heard of these phenomena.

Once when I was traveling all the time, I developed diarrhea.
After a few days, I wanted to stop it. I told myself,
I am going to stop this. So, I stopped at a roadside stand and guess
what I bought for this purpose?

A large bag of raw peanuts and a large bag of apples.

As I drove along, I was eating these constantly. Yes, it stopped
immediately. You could say, Maybe it was going to stop anyway but I
think not.

More people have digestive problems than we ever realized.
This is a serious ailment because it effects overall health.
Much of the immune system function comes from the gut.
( about 60 % I think ) So, if the gut is not functioning properly, the
immune system will be impaired greatly.

Of course I can't tell you how to solve your problem. I can only offer
ideas and guidelines to use in your studies and experimentation.

Where shall we start ?

Many digestion problems start in the mouth and the stomach, with the food,
eating habits, and food combining. Some even start with the food
itself. People say they can't eat this and can't eat that. If so, they
should know it. Some will eat it anyway.

Digestion starts in the mouth when food is mixed with enzymes.
Hydrochloric acid production is low in most people over age 40.
In the group that is sick enough to go to a doctor for any reason, the
people that cannot make enough Hydrochloric acid is 90 %.

If the stomach does not do the job right before the food goes into the
digestion track, heaven only knows of all the failures and bad things that
happen, including immune system function decline.
Pains and feeling may result that tell you in no uncertain terms, something
is drastically wrong.

Many highly technical things are involved.

The Brain in the Gut
The Vagus Nerve
Intercellular Communication

Yes, all these have to function for perfect digestion. We can blame our
problem on many things but it may be so complex that few if any doctors can
figure it out.

One of my older sisters had a problem with the Vagus nerve and the doctor
said it was responsible for her digestion ailment.

Was he guessing or how did he arrive at that decision?

Which brings up another subject I should have included at the top.
The Nervous system. Many people have problems with the nerves.
So, any nutrients that help the nerves could help the digestion.

Usually we do not have to worry about all these highly technical
areas. Simple changes can help. Experiment. You have full control of
the laboratory. No one else does.

Change the eating habits and methods
Adding a few foods and eliminating others
Eat smaller meals and more than 3 meals per day.
I think 3 meals per day is an American Disaster.

Don't overlook fats. One of the best is Raw Sunflower seeds.
This food along can help some people. One ounce 3 or 4 times per day could
help, plus some decent nutrients are there also.

Some special foods or mixtures of them offer advantages.
Trail mix, if the right ingredients are used is the best food on the face
of the earth.

I mix peanut butter, coconut oil, and/or Honey and Black Strap
molasses. I eat one pint of this per week.

I won't suggest Raw Liver, but Adelle Davis believed in it strongly.

Most of the foods I eat intentionally, have the nutritional analysis
here. http://www.fugitt.com/trailmix.htm

RE: CSDigestion System Problems

2007-06-18 Thread ruth strackbein
Hi, Wayne, I guess I must have left out that it was 4-6 oz of prune juice in
my post. I have read your post to Dee, I have tried to use a great deal of
what you suggest, but tolerate very little of it. Just now I feel I need to
follow through on what this Dr. is telling me. We are trying to avoid
surgery for an overlong exceedingly slow transit time bowel, 7-8 days from
mouth to rectum. Ten years ago a similar test had a transit time of 4 days.
I was eating more normally way back then, but never have been able to
tolerate apples or alot of raw food, though I would like to. This Dr. is a
gastroenterology surgeon. Dr. Tombers is a plain gastroenterologist. His
opinion was that there isn't a medicine outhere that will fix what is wrong
with my bowel. Both Docs have looked at the recent X-rays. The surgeon is
just highly aware of the severe problems that can result from removing 90%
of your colon and wants to avoid that if at all possible. Food residue
tends to collect in odd places in my colon and back things up. I live in a
small village 20 miles from my regular doctor. I tend to get edgy as the
weekend approaches, because I know that if I get into trouble over the
weekend, the emergency room is of no help whatever. Don't have time for
more, but thanks for your suggestions. Ruth

I hate to tell you what I think. ( Not scientific Fact )

I believe you and your doctor are treating the symptom, and not the cause.
I may be wrong, I have been wrong before, on this very list.

If so, I will admit it and welcome the other ideas.

I realize the problem is very complex and a panel of doctors and scientists
cannot always solve it.

This make we wonder why us lowly humans think we can solve anything. Of
course we have control of the laboratory.

More ideas and facts on the digestive system later.

Boron is only 10.6% of the weight in borax, so 1,000 mg of borax,
contains only 106 mg of borax, which is only about 3 times high,
instead of 30 times high.

CSDifferent Boron Compounds

2007-06-18 Thread CWFugitt

Does anyone know the different compounds or forms of Boron ?

Only one is mentioned below.

I wonder how I missed this all these years? Maybe I have been getting
enough and not knowing it.

Wayne

=== A few facts about Boron

Description:

Boron is a trace mineral that exhibits properties of both metals and
minerals. It has a unique ability to bind with what scientists call
hydroxyl groups. Because of this property, boron binds with many substances
that have biological activity in the body. Some of these substances include
sugars and other elements that have to do with the production of energy,
such as vitamin B6, riboflavin (vitamin B2), and the oxidized form of
vitamin C, (dehydroascorbate) and elements within the nucleus of cells,
such as nucleotides.

Scientists have recognized two biologically active boron compounds made in
nature, both of which are natural antibiotics, effective against bacteria.
Calcium borogluconate, however, is the active form in human nutrition.

In 1945 a scientific report showed that supplemental boron in the diet of
rats enhanced survival of those animals and elevated liver glycogen. This
was observed in potassium deficient rats.

In 1981 Drs. Hunt and Neilson proved that boron had a marked influence on
the amino acid methionine, as well as on potassium, magnesium, vitamin D3,
manganese and calcium levels in animals. Thus, boron plays an important
role in human nutrition. The most significant study came in 1986, when Dr.
Curtis Hunt studied the effects of aluminum, magnesium and boron on major
mineral metabolism in postmenopausal women between the ages of 48 and 82,
in a housed metabolic unit. In this study the boron supplemented group
received 3 mg. of boron per day showing a marked effect on the metabolism
of several minerals.

If you google Calcium borogluconate, a lot is mentioned about animals and
a little is mentioned about humans.

Re: CS20 mule team BORAX -- Please Help

2007-06-18 Thread Bruce Anderson

I hope this helps.
Bruce

Found DaddyBobs email on Boraxsee below.

SS

I've used CMO for years now and have reported what it has done for me
 several times.

Now if you really want that relief to go into high gear, get Boron into
 your
diet. It will do things that CMO won't, and the two together are a
one-two

 punch against arthritis.

But to stay on the topic of CS- it was MSM that gave me my first real
arthritis relief, but the whole time I took it, I could feel the pain
seething underneath like a caged animal, and if I didn't take massive
 doses
of MSM, the animal lashed out. CS is what stopped all that. Just a few
 weeks
of taking a pint daily of CS stopped all my seething chronic pain back in
 2000.

When you have been badly damaged by whatever cause of arthritis, no
matter
how you may rid yourself of the cause, you are left with
osteo-arthritis.

That's where CMO and Boron really make a difference.

To test this for your self cheap and easy...and I ask anyone reading this
not to jump to conclusions and start flaming me about it*...start
dipping

 a
wet fingertip, up to the first joint, into BORAX (yes 20 Mule Team Borax)
and lick it off, at least once a day, going up to perhaps 4 times a day
until you get the relief you need. The first thing you may notice is that
the finger you use may start to feel better.

*Borax is mined out of the ground and is perfectly edible, despite being
sold as a laundry cleaner complete with warnings not to eat it because
 They
(The Powers That Be) don't want you to know how effective it is. TOO
much,

as in spoonfuls, is poisonous, but what won't kill you if you take TOO
 much?

If you're squeamish about doing it that way, then get yourself a boron
supplement. I will not entertain arguments from
 non-supplement-get-it-all-from
-food freaks. You cannot get enough boron
 that
way to get this ball rolling if you have severe arthritis. Forget it. I
personally am now using Twin Labs Tri-Boron. Most people on this list are
not of that extreme mindset anyway, since CS is definitely not available
 as
 food.

Have I got the wrong product or is this a pharma scare tactic?

CSBoron Binding question

2007-06-18 Thread CWFugitt

I think boron may bind with some of the essential sugars which in turn
effects intercellular communications.

Essential Sugars are not Aspartame and NurtiSweet.

There are eight total and most Americans are deficient in one or more.

If anyone has any information, please send it to me.

I found one other form of boron. ( boron citrate)
Several more may exist.

Likely one is better than the others.
