Becoming an Alternative Health practitioner was the
logical and practically unavoidable result of being
born with significant health issues that the medical
profession not only couldn't help, but actually
 aggravated.

Over the years, I have found considerable relief from
some of the issues I was born struggling with, but
some of the other issues have refused to be resolved.

This has resulted in my developing a continual search
mentality, always reading, always searching. This has
turned out to be a benefit to me, for it has produced
a Perpetual Student attitude in me. Being very human,
if I have a string of successes with my clients, it's
easy to fall prey to an attitude of elitism, a I'm
one of the Better Practitioners, the Effective Ones.
But then I have to face my consistent failure at
finding answers to my own issues, rather humbling
(though healthy), to say the least.

Within the limits of finances, family and personal
flexibility, I have experimented with a lot of
supplements and therapies that have received high
praise from others. There is still, in me, a
subconscious hope that I will finally stumble upon
that Magic Elixir, that Super Potion, the Cure-all
that will conquer my and my clients health problems.
Oh, I know logically that there is no Silver Bullet (I
had thought I found it in CS, but I was wrong), but
something in me still hopes, Maybe, Maybe, Maybe.

When I first came across Noni juice, everyone was
crying, This is the stuff! (as I have seen with
many, many other things). I bought 12 bottles of it
and started drinking. After six bottles, I noticed
nothing whatsoever. The fellow I bought it from
suggested inceasing the dosage, so I doubled the
recommended intake. After six more bottles and no more
results than if I had been drinking lemon-aid, I once
again faced the reality: There is no Silver Bullet.
Good health will not come from That One Special
Nutrient that you need. Good health can only come from
 healthy living.

I am not opposing Noni juice. Many folks have
experienced good results from Noni juice (and from
Colostrum, and bentonite clay, and Colloidal Silver,
and Co-Q10, and Vitamin C, etc.), but the only Cure to
poor health is good health, is caring for your body,
 mind and spirit.

 My two cents.

Hey Larry,
I hear you loud clear on this one. My advice (probably not worth much more
than a thin silver dime) would be to take one ounce of CS every two hours on
the first day for a total of 8 ounces. just to prime the system. Then
a maintainance dose of one ounce per day - every day - first thing in the
morning on an empty stomach and wait one hour before eating or drinking
anything else. Just struggle through the short term herx effect and it
should all be very worthwhile. Best wishes for anyone's speedy recovery!

  10/28/98
NEW HYPOTHESIS PROPOSED FOR CAUSE OF CHRONIC FATIGUE SYNDROME
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Researchers here have proposed a new theory for the
cause of chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) -- one that blames the illness
both on a low-level viral infection and on the body's own immune
 response to that virus.
If true, it would offer an explanation for why virologists so far
haven't found evidence of a common virus when looking at a population of
CFS patients. The hypothesis was included in a paper published in the
current issue of the American Journal of Medicine.
The new theory, proposed by Ronald Glaser, professor of medical
microbiology and immunology, and Janice Kiecolt-Glaser, professor of
psychology and psychiatry at Ohio State University, is the latest work
in more than two decades of their research on the effects of stress on
 the human immune system.
Our data suggests that stress may be causing the expression of certain
viral proteins and that these proteins may be modulating the body's
immune response, turning it on or off,
 Glaser said.
CFS was first characterized by researchers in the mid-1980s who
described it as a combination of symptoms including low-grade fevers,
body aches, malaise, and depression among other signs. The condition
seems more prevalent among young adult women. Those diagnosed with CFS
 often experience stress and depression.
Symptoms routinely linger for six months or more and may continue for
years. The federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimate
that CFS may affect anywhere from four to 10 of every 100,000 people in
 the United States.
Other researchers have reported higher-than-normal titers of antibodies
to various latent viruses -- Epstein-Barr virus, cytomegalovirus, human
herpes virus 6, for example -- in the blood of patients diagnosed as
having CFS. But no one viral infection was present in all patients --
evidence that would be needed to prove a viral cause of the illness.
The Ohio State researchers' new theory poses several mechanisms that
 might be linked to CFS.
Once a person is infected, these viruses can remain latent in the body
for long periods of time. Glaser proposes that the viruses could be
partially reactivated, that is, viral proteins could be produced at
levels high enough to cause a low-grade infection but too low to be seen
 using current laboratory assays.
Glaser and Kiecolt-Glaser suggest that CFS patients may experience an
ongoing, low-grade viral infection -- more like a smoldering fire rather
than a three-alarm blaze -- which could stimulate parts of the immune
response without raising antibody titers to typically high levels.
That low-grade infection would be enough to increase production of
various cytokines -- chemical mediators for the immune system -- and
 begin the immune response.
A lot of the symptoms that you find in chronic fatigue syndrome are the
same ones induced by cytokines during our normal immune response,
 Glaser said.
He admits that studies of patients have yet to show a pattern of
abnormal cytokine behavior that would substantiate their theory but he
 has an explanation for that.
We haven't discovered all the cytokines involved in immunity. We may
not have found the right one, yet, he said, adding that new cytokines
 are steadily being identified.
Stress and depression may be playing a related role as well,
Kiecolt-Glaser said. Earlier research has repeatedly shown that
increased stress and depression can reactivate latent viruses, decrease
the body's immune response, and stimulate the production of certain
cytokines linked to some CFS-like symptoms.
Part of this is a chicken-and-egg problem, Kiecolt-Glaser said.
People diagnosed with CFS often are depressed since they're unable to
carry out normal, daily activities. What we don't know is whether the
depression followed the diagnosis of CFS or if CFS contributed to it.
We do know, however, that this kind of depression can weaken

 America Loses 14,000 Lives A Year In Its Other Germ War;

 Over-Use Of Antibiotics Like Cipro May Induce Plagues;

 Natural Antibiotics May Rescue Mankind

 by Bill Sardi

Special addendum: side effects of CIPRO-like drugs may be
worse than Anthrax; CIPRO should not be used by rescue,
police or military personnel, nor be approved for nation's
 antibiotic stockpile.

America is losing its other germ war and thousands more
lives are needlessly being lost than from the recent
 anthrax threat.

The public has been gripped by the threat of anthrax in the
past week, and has become familiar with CIPRO
(ciprofloxacin-Bayer), the antibiotic that has been widely
described as the preferred drug to treat inhalation
 anthrax.

At the same time, Americans have been distracted from
America's other germ war -- the over-use of prescription
antibiotics like CIPRO which will only hasten the early
demise of millions of humans worldwide as more germs mutate
and become resistant to these drugs, permitting bugs like
 E. coli, Enterococci, Staphylococcus, Helicobacteri pylori,
and yes even anthrax, to escape treatment and increase
morbidity and mortality. The ongoing germ war Americans
face is not administered by a terrorist but is of one their
 own doing.

A news story that has been overshadowed by the American
anthrax scare is that FDA and University of Maryland
researchers found 20% of meat samples obtained from
 supermarkets were contaminated with drug-resistant
salmonella, a germ that is responsible for 1.4 million
cases of food poisoning annually. Among the samples of
ground beef, chicken turkey and pork, 84% of the salmonella
was found to be resistant to one drug and 53% to three or
 more antibiotics.1

Worldwide, many strains of Staph aureus, another pathogenic
bacterium, are resistant to all antibiotics except
Vancomycin, which is considered the antibiotic of last
resort. Strains of germs like Enterococcus faecalis,
 Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Pseudomonas aeruginosa
already defy a stockpile of more than 100 antibiotic drugs.

The FDA is rapidly making plans to reduce the use of
antibiotics in animals, particularly because the drug-
resistance in these animals can be transferred to humans.
Over 40% of the antibiotics produced annually (about 20
million pounds) are used in animals.

In an attempt to head off the growing drug-resistance
problem, the American Medical Association has urged its
members not to prescribe CIPRO to patients who are merely
worried about anthrax exposure and has warned physicians to
reduce their rate of prescriptions for antibiotics overall.
Some experts estimate half of the antibiotics taken in the
 US are unnecessary.

Most commercial antibiotics have been molecularly altered
in the laboratory to obtain a patent and to improve
potency. The man-made molecules are what induce germs to
mutate and become resistant to their killing properties.2
Drug companies have responded to the resistance problem by
producing newer antibiotics, most which are just
variations or combinations of old drugs.3 The FDA says it
is doing all it can to speed up development and
availability of new antibiotic drugs.4 For example, in
September of 1999 the FDA announced the approval of a long-
needed new weapon against the growing threat of drug-
resistant bacteria: Synercid, the first alternative in 30
years to the antibiotic (vancomycin) of last resort.
Synercid (Rhone-Poulenc Rorer) is the first in a new class
of antibiotics called streptogamins, but the FDA admitted
it only has a 52% effectiveness rating in fighting off drug-
resistant strains of enterococcal infections and it was
accompanied by side effects such as rash, vomiting,
 diarrhea and joint pain.5

But the FDA makes no mention of natural, non-patentable
antibiotics which do not induce resistance, some which
exhibit a 100% kill factor for anthrax and a wide range of
other germs. There are no financial incentives for makers
of antibiotic foods like garlic, or supplements like oil of
oregano, to undergo expensive and time-consuming clinical
trials so they can make a label claim as an antibiotic.
This gives drug manufacturers complete reign over the
prescription antibiotic drug market. Most Americans are so
ill informed on this issue that they just can't believe
natural antibiotics are more potent than the drugs their
 doctor prescribes.

Bill Briggs was quoted as saying:
[concerning]...CS and the dangers of renal failure.
Said it might take as long as 20 years or more, but it
 would happen.

I am not impressed by anyone's qualifications, or
letters by their name, nor am I unimpressed by a lack
of them. Academic accomplishment nowadays has little
or nothing to do with one's knowledge about a subject.
I even find that it can interfere with clear,
 objective thinking.

Anytime someone makes flat statements like that (it
WILL happen), I want to know where he got the
information, how he can demonstrate the validity of
his statement, and why I should believe him. He may
very well be right, but his authoritatively-spoken
word is not enough. I especially have trouble with the
idea that he is sure that it will happen years down
the road. The only way to come to that kind of
conclusion is either to have watched it happen for 20
years (as has been done in the case of tobacco), or by
logical deduction. Although I am not much impressed by
the accuracy of logical deduction when it comes to the
human metabolism, I am willing to hear the reasoning
 that convinced him.

At this point, Bill Briggs' statements occupy a level
of credibility in my own mind on par with Andrew
 Weil's, which isn't much.

But I would be interested in seeing his reasoning.

In any event, because of the weaker immune system, 1 or 2 ozs of CS daily
would assist the immune system in fighting off pathogens of all kinds.
Additionally, there are indications that some other things might help a
whole bunch and may be the solution that you are seeking.

No diet soft drinks - no Nutra-sweet products - nothing with Aspartame on
the label - nothing with phenylalinine in it.
No Alcohol - beer, wine, booze!
No Milk or dairy products - especially butter, cheese, ice cream, powdered
milk, powdered creamers, sour cream etc.
1 gram (1000mg) capsules of MSM (methylsulphonylmethane) 4 times a day.
1000 mg Vitamin C (with rose hips formulation) daily
250 mg capsule of Alpha Lipoic Acid 2 times a day
1 softgel capsule of Gamma E Tocopherol 340mg or other equivalent natural
mixed tocopherols.(Vitamin E)
A good combination vitamin/mineral supplement - daily

Improvement could be noticable within the first 30 days and there is a
possiblility of total reversal with strict adherance.

Have had Lupus deaths in the family that prompted looking into alternative
health measures. The reasearch scientist, Dr. Stanley Jacobs, MD of Oregon
Health Sciences University in Portland, OR was treating lupus patients with
MSM more than 15 years ago in his private practice.

Then, additionally, there is prayer and I will say a prayer for you ...
and I'm sure others on the list will also.

Also, please bear in mind that I am not a medical doctor and am prohibited
by law from prescribing. I am only providing information. Results alluded
to in the above regimen are anecdotal experiences. Find a Naturopathic
Doctor (M.D., N.D.) to work with you or at least a doctor who is not rigidly
confined to the practice of allopathic medicine.

HEALTHCARE, etc

* NHS bed crisis hitting London

The NHS is facing an emergency beds crisis with just one intensive
care bed available in London.

A spokesman for the ambulance service has said that a major incident
or flu epidemic would lead to a serious crisis in hospitals. The
Department of Health admitted that the service was under strain but
said an extra 41 critical care beds in London would be in use by Dec
1. The solitary free bed was in the Royal Free Hospital, east London.
The next nearest emergency bed was north of London in Hemel Hempstead,
Herts.

Ambulance crews in at least six hospitals in the capital were unable
to respond to emergency calls. Some crews had to wait up to four hours
for beds to become free so that they could deliver patients. Some also
had to surrender their stretchers to hospitals, making their vehicles
redundant.

Its all a matter of perspective, I guess ... as illustrated by the
following: Robert

The airliner from Polish Airways was preparing to land at O'Hare
Field. The pilot radioed the control tower that he thought the runway
was too short to land on. The tower radioed back that it was more
than long enough. In a few minutes the pilot again radioed about the
runway length, only to receive the same reply. On final approach, the
pilot radioed again that he thought the runway was too short, only to
receive an exasperated reply that the runway was long enough and to
go ahead and land.
Sure enough, the plane touched down and ran into the passenger
terminal, resulting in major damage. After the plane came to a halt,
the pilot turned to the co-pilot and said, See? I told them the
runway was too short.

To which the co-pilot replied, Yeah, but did you see how wide that
sucker was?

For the past year, I have been carefully watching the kinds of disability
applications coming into our consulting firm (which specifically does only
social security law and represents clients).
For over a year, all but two of the clients have presented with the primary
diagnosis of chronic fatigue and/or fibromyalgia.

Usual misdiagnosis for aspertame poisoning - see http://www.Dorway.com

  Additional diagnoses are
consistently: (1) Arthritis, Neurally mediated hypotension, (3) sleep apnea,
and (4) frequently depression (after onset). Adult onset diabetes is also
frequently seen in addition to the CFIDS/fibro.

Refer to http://www.notmilk.com for a discussion of these symptoms in
relation to our contaminated and altered public supplies of dairy products.

I have felt it to be an outbreak, and watched, researched, and read. Last
week my feelings were confirmed by two separate agencies, who indicate that
Iowa has the second highest rate of disability per capita, in the US. These
figures were taken from SSA and applications, and would therefore, generally
rule out those 65 or older. My suspicions were confirmed by both SSA and the
  State Voc Rehab offices.

Refer to the many site references of government sponsored aerial spraying of
mutagenic substances over our cities by unmarked tanker planes (resembling
vapor trails -- except that their low altitute doesn't correlate.)
On three separate occasions, I have been aware that the CDC has been active
in our area, monitoring, but do not know what their focus or findings have
  been.
Ahh, yes --- The famous United States Center for Disease Control -- the CDC
-- Somebody has to test for the effects of these secret, clandestine government
programs -- who better than the CDC? Incidently, if you no longer have a high
degree of confidence in the FDA, then you should look with askance at the CDC
which has also been populated with the right people!

The incidence of chronic fatigue and fibro do not seem limited to metro
areas, and seem to span the state equally. Women seem to be most affected,
however, people of all ages, sexes, ethnic background, are being diagnosed in
large numbers. The medical professionals in our area, are knee deep, and are
trying very hard to understand and help.
Widespread aerial spraying can be indiscriminate in its effects if that's the
intention.

We can find no real common denominator, and blood work does not reveal
conclusive or consistent data, for many patients. Most patients, however,
show a curiously low sodium level (below 139 or close). We have also in many
cases, done MMPI testing, and are finding little or no indication that mental
health issues are the primary or largely contributing cause.

Be careful -- anyone who thinks the government might be to blame could be
adjudged mentallly ill.

After having read and researched for the past year, I still don't have a clue
as to the causes. Have looked at water, air, diet, parasitic infections,
viruses, bacteria's, and everything looks suspect. We are clueless.

Is anyone aware of diagnostic methods or testing process, which might uncover
the origin or cause of what we are seeing? (Mycoplasma testing is not
available or common here, or covered by insurance.)

Many people here are experimenting with alternative therapies, and some
medical providers are also starting to consider alternatives. We have two
certified Chinese Herbalists in the area, and their waiting lists are as long
as 6 - 7 months, for an initial appointment. Are any of you close to Iowa,
or aware of reputable and reliable alternative health care providers?
I have a copy of The Directory of Innovative Doctors from Life Extension
Foundation, PO Box 229120, Hollywood, FL 33022. The listings for Iowa are as
follows:

  Horst G. Blume, MD - 700 Jennings St. Sioux City, IA 51105 (712) 252-4386
Many of these people cannot travel.

 Hi;

Aspartame contains phenylalanine. So does Nutra-sweet. So does Sugar
Twin...You have to read the pak.

The comment about phenylalanine being an essential neurotransmitter is
true,
but spplementation is usually unnecessary and unwise because it breaks
down
 to formaldehyde..

A google search turned up a wealth of information, all of it bad WRT
Aspartame and phenylalanine...here are just a few..

 'Nuff said.

 ciao

 Duncan

 http://www.nccn.net/~wwithin/aspart.htm

Aspartame an L aspartyl L phenylalanine methyl ester, is composed of two
amino acids, aspartate and phenylalanine, linked by methanol. Inside the
gastrointestinal tract, especially in the stomach it is bro ken down into
its constitutent components . In some instances the dipeptide is lysed
within the cells of the gut. As a consequence the methanol is rapidly
absored and distributed throughout the tissues of the body. Within the
tissues substantial amounts of methanol's two metabolic breakdown products
(formaldehyde and formic acid) have been shown to accumulate in many
 tissues.

 **

The Pandora's box of chameleon-like toxins and tumor agents

Aspartame was never and cannot be proven to be safe. It is not and
 cannot
be a diet aid because the formaldehyde (from the breakdown of the 10%
methanol) gets stored in the fat along with some water. The National Soft
Drink Association did a 30-page protest in the '80s (Congressional
Record,
Senate S 5511, 5/7/85) that mentioned the fact that aspartame was
unstable,
and that aspartame reduced the levels of serotonin (a substance that gives
one that full feeling) which often induces a craving for carbohydrates.

 L-Aspartyl-l-phenylalanine methyl ester, 98%, aspartame CAS #22839-47-0
(a.k.a. Equal, NutraSweet, Spoonful, Benevia, Equal Measure, etc.) is
composed of (at least) three things:

   1.) aspartic acid, (around 40%) CAS # 56-84-8
   2.) phenylalanine, (around 50%) CAS # 63-91-2
   3.) methanol (wood alcohol) (10%) CAS # 67-56-1

   Molecular Weight : 294.30
   Formula: C14H18N2O5
MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEET : http://www.dorway.com/asparta.txt

 *

 http://www.holisticmed.com/aspartame/abuse/methanol.html#discussion

These are indeed extremely high levels for adducts of formaldehyde, a
substance responsible for chronic deleterious effects that has also been
 considered carcinogenic.

It is concluded that aspartame consumption may constitute a hazard
because
of its contribution to the formation of formaldehyde adducts. (Trocho
1998)

It was a very interesting paper, that demonstrates that formaldehyde
formation from aspartame ingestion is very common and does indeed
accumulate
within the cell, reacting with cellular proteins (mostly enzymes) and DNA
(both mitochondrial and nuclear). The fact that it accumulates with each
dose, indicates grave consequences among those who consume diet drinks and
foodstuffs on a daily basis. (Blaylock 1998)

The methanol from aspartame is converted to formaldehyde and then formic
acid (DHHS 1993, Liesivuori 1991), although some of the formaldehyde
appears
to accumulate in the body as discussed above. Chronic formaldehyde
exposure
at very low doses has been shown to cause immune system and nervous system
changes and damage as well as headaches, general poor health, irreversible
genetic damage, and a number of other serious health problems (Fujimaki
 1992, He 1998, John 1994, Liu 1993, Main 1983, Molhave 1986, National
Research Council 1981, Shaham 1996, Srivastava 1992, Vojdani 1992, Wantke
1996). One experiment (Wantke 1996) showed that chronic exposure to
formaldehyde caused systemic health problems (i.e., poor health) in
children
at an air concentration of only 0.043 - 0.070 parts per million!

Obviously, chronic exposure to an extremely small amount of formaldehyde
is
to be avoided. Even if formaldehyde adducts did not build up in the body
from aspartame use, the regular exposure to excess levels of formaldehyde
would still be a major concern to independent scientists and physicians
familiar with the aspartame toxicity issue.

In addition to chronic formaldehyde poisoning, the excitotoxic amino acid
derived from aspartame will almost certainly worsen the damage caused by
the
formladehyde. Synergistic effects from aspartame metabolites are rarely,
if
ever, mentioned by the manufacturer. Aspartame breaks down into a
free-form

Subject: CSCommendations Thanks

 Hello, All--

I'm relatively new the Colloidal Silver list, and wish to thank the
participants for exemplifying an essential character trait of a high,
progressive civilization. A recent anecdote illustrates what I mean.
When gas prices began to take off, I did a spate of talk radio shows
(short-wave, internet) about the century-long history of 100+mpg
carburetors and their suppression by big industry. This generated an
impressive list of respondents (engineers, machinists, NASA scientists,
back yard experimentors), all of whom agreed to freely promulgate rather
than profiteer from any breakthroughs we developed. (If you patent an
idea, it'll be bought shelved; if you hoard a discovery, you can be
 personally excised!)

When it comes to introducing methodologies that endanger entrenched
financial empires, either we'll ALL have access or NO ONE will. So it is
with CS, which at the very least, threatens the entire antibiotics
industry. Those who contribute their findings here are among the first
to grasp a new broader definition of profit, one that recognizes the
*indirect* benefits of living in a society that has *collectively*
benefitted from a better idea. Nothing against Ayn Rand--enlightened
selfishness simply recognizes the necessary reciprocity between
 personal and societal welfare.

 * 'Superbug' shuts hospital ward

A hospital ward has been cancelling new admissions for almost two
weeks because of the superbug MRSA. Tests on patients in the
vascular ward at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, showed that 11 out of 22
were carrying the bacterial infection, which has developed a
resistance to antibiotics. The hospital has brought in an extra
team of nurses to treat those on the ward with MRSA in order to limit
the spread of infection. A spokesman for Tayside University Hospitals
Trusts said the action taken was precautionary and no patients had
suffered adverse effects. The ward treats patients who are having
surgery on veins, usually on their arms or legs.

I appreciate all of the input on the subject of diabetic leg ulcers; in my

cultured and is sterile. The problem seems to be entirely circulatory. The
blood flow necessary to transport materials necessary for wound healing is
miniscule. The wound is located on the right ankle bone-an area almost
completely devoid of blood vessels. Per ole Bob I have kept the wound in
constant contact with CS for two days and counting-the wound is filling

* Op waiting times 'will be cut'

Patients have been promised that waiting times for operations will be
slashed as the Government announced inflation-busting increases for
the NHS. Health authorities are to get an average increase of 8.5 per
cent from April next year, amounting to around £29million more each.

Health Secretary Alan Milburn said the maximum wait for treatment
would be cut from 18 months to 15 months by spring 2002. And within a
year men with testicular cancer, children with cancer, and leukaemia
sufferers will be treated inside a month.

Mr Milburn said: These new maximum waiting times are still too long,
but they represent the first instalment of real progress.

* Hospitals in firing line

The government is to send in a hit squad to one of the UK's leading
heart hospitals following a highly critical report. Health minister
John Denham described the Oxford Heart Centre at the John Radcliffe
Hospital as dysfunctional. The report will blame management
failings for both poor standards of care and lack of supervision of
inexperienced doctors. The Commission for Health Improvement, a
government watchdog set up to monitor standards in NHS hospitals, will
be sent to Oxford to supervise improvement measures.

In addition, the CHI has published a hard-hitting report into serious
service failures at North Lakeland NHS Trust in Cumbria and
Carmarthenshire NHS Trust in Llanelli.

Why, given the warnings of potentially fatal ischemic colitis for a
 drug
that is not lifesaving itself, did the FDA approve Lotronex?

From the number of deadly drugs approved by the FDA, one wonders
 whether
making them affordable is in the public interest???

The Los Angeles Times reports that within the last 3 years, the FDA
 has
struck out 9 times by approving deadly drugs in an approval process
 that is
corrupted by industry affiliated FDA advisory panels.

The FDA officials disregarded the significance of concerns
 raised by
an agency medical officer who examined the drug before its approval.
 They
chose a paid consultant to Glaxo to serve with an advisory committee
 that
 recommended approval of the drug.

If the FDA relies the advice of drug company representatives who
 want their
company's drugs approved--and ignores warnings from its own unbiased

 LOS ANGELES TIMES
 Thursday, November 2, 2000 |

FDA Minimized Issue of Lotronex's Safety

Health: Times study finds officials sided with drug maker on
 regulatory
 concerns. Agency reevaluation is underway.

By DAVID WILLMAN, Times Staff Writer

WASHINGTON--In the drug's first eight months on the market,
 five people
who took it died. Several others underwent bowel surgeries--one had a
 colon
removed. A total of 49 patients developed ischemic colitis, a
 potentially
 life-threatening complication.

As a result, the Food and Drug Administration is now
  reevaluating the
safety of Lotronex, a drug intended to treat women with a nonfatal
 disorder,
irritable bowel syndrome. But a Los Angeles Times investigation of
 the FDA's
handling of Lotronex found that over the last year agency officials
repeatedly played down questions about the drug's safety while siding
 with
the manufacturer, Glaxo Wellcome Inc., in important regulatory
 decisions.

The FDA officials disregarded the significance of concerns
 raised by an
agency medical officer who examined the drug before its approval.
 They chose
a paid consultant to Glaxo to serve with an advisory committee that
recommended approval of the drug. They agreed with Glaxo not to place
 a
highly visible black-box warning on the label of Lotronex. Rather
 than
wait for Glaxo to conduct a major new study of the drug's link to
 ischemic
colitis, the agency approved the pill on a condition that the study
 would
take place after the drug entered the market. The study has yet to
 begin.

And for the last several months, the officials have declined,
 in the
face of data gathered by FDA epidemiologists, to seek withdrawal of
 the
 drug.

The FDA's handling of Lotronex is the latest example of how the
pressure to get new drugs to market can clash with the agency's
 mandate to
protect public health and safety. Since 1993, the agency has
 dramatically
stepped up approvals of new drugs submitted by the $100-billion
pharmaceutical industry, with fortunes rising or falling on sales of
 a
 single medication.

In the last three years, the FDA has been forced to withdraw
 nine drugs
from the market after reports of deaths and injuries linked to the
 compounds.

An FDA administrator, Dr. Florence Houn, on Wednesday defended
 the
agency's decisions on Lotronex but added, FDA is concerned about the
serious adverse event reports of ischemic colitis and severe
 constipation
associated with Lotronex. When the agency approved Lotronex, Houn
 said,
officials suspected that the ischemic colitis seen with the drug was
 nonfatal and reversible.

3 Deaths Not Linked to Drug, Firm Says

A representative of Glaxo, Dr. Allen Mangel, said the company
 has
investigated three of the five deaths and believes those events were
 not
caused by Lotronex. Mangel said Glaxo has not been able to adequately
 probe
 the remaining two

CSAnother form of prevention

2000-11-14 Thread Robert Bartell
Our attempts to explore alternative health considerations has, at its bottom
line, preserving the quality of life. Occasionally, someone comes along with
an insight that seems a little off the usual beaten path or illuminates the
bottom line from another perspective. This just came in to me, impressed me,
and seems worthy of passing along to you as information. However, if you want
to vent any opposing opinions, let's take them off site : Robert Bartell

 Paul Harvey on Gun Control

Are you considering backing gun control laws? Do you think that because
you
may not own a gun, the rights guaranteed by the Second Amendment don't
matter?
 CONSIDER:
In 1929 the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953,
approximately 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were
 rounded up and exterminated.

In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915-1917, 1.5 million
Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, 13 million
Jews, gypsies, homosexuals, the mentally ill, and others, who were unable
to
defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million
political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and
 exterminated.

Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000
Mayan
Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000
Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million
educated people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and
 exterminated.

That places total victims who lost their lives because of gun control at
approximately 56 million in the last century.

Since we should learn from the mistakes of history, the next time someone
talks in favor of gun control, find out which group of citizens they wish
to
 have exterminated.

It has now been 12 months since gun owners in Australia were forced to
surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed, a program costing the
government more than $500 million dollars. The results Australia-wide:
Homicides are up 3.2%; assaults are up 8 %; armed robberies are up 44%.
In
that country's state of Victoria, homicides with firearms are up 300%.
Over
the previous 25 years, figures show a steady decrease in armed robberies
and
Australian politicians are on the spot and at a loss to explain how no
improvement in safety has been observed after such monumental effort and
expense was successfully expended in ridding society of guns.

It's time to state it plainly; Guns in the hands of honest citizens save
lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws only affect the law-abiding
citizens. Take action before it's too late, write or call your delegation.

 OPINION: Paul Harvey on Guns

Paul Harvey's comment on Columbine High shootings:

How can we blame it all on guns? For the life of me, I can't understand
what
could have gone wrong in Littleton, CO. If only the parents had kept their
children away from the guns, we wouldn't have had such a tragedy.
Yeah, it must have been the guns.

It couldn't have been because half our children are being raised in broken
 homes.

It couldn't have been because our children get to spend an average of 30
seconds in meaningful conversation with their parents each day. After all,
we
 give our children quality time.

It couldn't have been because we treat our children as pets and our pets
as
 children.

It couldn't have been because we place our children in day care centers
where
they learn their socialization skills among their peers under the law of
the
jungle while employees who have no vested interest in the children look on
and make sure that no blood is spilled.

It couldn't have been because we allow our children to watch, on the
average,
seven hours of television a day filled with the glorification of sex and
violence that isn't fit for adult consumption.

It couldn't have been because we allow our children to enter into virtual
worlds in which, to win the game, one must kill as many opponents as
possible
in the most sadistic way possible.

It couldn't have been because we have sterilized and concentrated our
families down to sizes so small that the children we do have are so
spoiled
with material things that they come to equate the receiving of the
material
 with love.

It couldn't have been because our children, who historically have been
seen
as a blessing from God, are now being viewed as either a mistake created
when
contraception fails or inconveniences that parents try to raise in their
 spare time.

It couldn't have been because we teach our children that there are no laws
of
morality that transcend us, that everything is relative and that actions
 don't

The new company - to focus on the conversion of stem cells into

Lets just say life is one big virus and be done with it. Sorry, I don't
agree. Allopathic medicine ALWAYS calls something a virus when they have
no
 answer for it!

As for obesity - whatever happened to eating too much? Doesn't anyone
want
to take responsibility for what they do any more.

Everyone seems to think they have the answer to illness - If Hulda is
right,
why doesn't anyone else know? I am not disputing that she isn't right,
what
I did say is that she seems to blame just about every illness on
parasites.
Diabetes for instance, is a Westernised disease. People living in remote
parts where the food is natural and unrefined, just don't get the high
incidences ofdiabetes as the Western world. In other words, it is being
caused by diet. So how does that relate to parasites. One could say that
the parasites are in the junk food, or uncooked meat - but for centuries
people have been having meat cooked improperly, and not getting diabetes.
The programme I watched last night blamed a certain substance in milk for
childhood diabetes, and so on. Everyone thinks they have the right
answers
I find it al little confusing and don't know who to believe at times. I
dunno about you, but it makes sense to eat a good unrefined diet, exercise
and sleep well, don't hold grudges, treat others as you would have them
treat you etc. I wonder how Hulda would explain the link between
arthritis
and unforgiveness for example. It has been scientifically proven as well,
that what we hold in our minds affects our bodies.

 Food for thought

 Tracy.

Maybe Al Gore is on to something!

Guess what?!?!?

I won the Florida lottery! I'm now a multi-millionaire! Can you

ticket doesn't have the exact winning numbers on it, but I meant to
pick those winning numbers.

The ticket is very confusing when I was filling it out and so I ended
up with the wrong numbers on my card. But since I really meant to
pick those other numbers, they're going to give me the money anyway

They really shouldn't make those darn cards so hard to fill out!!! And
even though I was confused, I didn't ask for help because no one
would have helped me anyway. If the FL State Lottery won't
give me the money, I'll just sue them!!!

Mercury amalgam fillings, despite the assurances of the American Dental
Assoc., are NOT safe. And sometimes the mercury is polluted with thallium
which is even more toxic than mercury. Over time, mercury leaches out of
the silver or gold filling and enters your system to play havoc. If you want
a good starting point to correcting general health problems get rid of
these fillings (replace them) or have the teeth pulled. Robert Bartell

   by Tim Bolen
Everyone in the American Health movement knows about the legal
troubles (the Indiana case) dumped on Hulda Regehr Clark - and
the outcome. What many don't know is that there is, and was, a
plot to cause her these problems - and that there is one specific
individual, a kingpin, an aging propagandist, behind it all. His
name is Stephen Barrett, and he is a de-licensed MD, operating
out of his basement in Allentown, PA. Barrett is now, and has
been, conducting a wild-eyed onslaught against world health
humanitarian Hulda Regehr Clark. PhD, ND.
Early in 1999, Barrett ordered his minions, including his
personal attorney Christopher Grell, to mount an all-out,
  anything goes, attack against Clark.
Clark's books had been selling well, far better than Barrett's
  books.
With big promises of financial reward, Barrett had advertised on
his website (quackwatch.com) for, and found, a female plaintiff
to claim that Clark had somehow damaged her at Clark's research
clinic in Mexico - a bogus lawsuit against Clark and twenty one
  other defendants.
Barrett's attack against Clark didn't stop with just that bogus
lawsuit. Barrett goes far further than that. He mounted an
all-out attack, one that if Clark supporters hadn't been prepared
  for, might have worked.

  THE EVIL ASSAULT AGAINST CLARK.
(1). Apparently, in early 1999, Barrett ordered attorney Grell
to file criminal charges against Clark with the Federal Bureau of
Investigation in San Diego. The FBI declined to investigate
(they had better things to do), but did run an NCIC check which,
we all know, ended up in Clark's arrest on seven year old
charges, which were later dropped, in Indiana.
(2). During the case activity, Barrett sent an emotionally
disturbed man, who blames Clark for his mother's death of cancer,
to a Clark rally for the express purpose of disrupting it. The
man claims that although his mother never did Clark's protocol
(he wouldn't let her), that somehow Clark is still responsible
for his mother's death. Barrett, who has had Psychiatric
training (although never Board Certified), was well aware that
this man had said in public I don't know what I'd do if I ever
met Clark. Barrett sent him anyway, and did not notify police
of the potential danger to Clark, and her supporters.
Fortunately, Clark supporters, monitoring Barrett's chat group
(healthfraud.ssr), intercepted the discussion, and alerted
authorities. The man was ordered off the property, and Clark was
  kept safe.
(3). Barrett's heir apparent to the quackbuster throne is, I
believe, Terry Polevoy, MD, a pimple doctor in Canada. Polevoy
is now, and has been, under investigation by Canadian authorities
for a number of reasons. According to the Canadian press,
Polevoy entered Canada as a draft dodger from the United States.
Polevoy stalked Canadian Radio personality Christine McPhee for
months, and other females for shorter periods of time. Polevoy
may have ceased his clandestine following of McPhee, and others,
after police raided his home late one night, questioning his
activities. Canadian medical authorities are investigating
allegations of mental instability and professional misconduct
against Polevoy. Polevoy could lose his medical license.
Polevoy operates a hate website where he specializes in attacks
against leading-edge health professionals that spurn the heavy
prescribing of dangerous drugs. Polevoy conducted such a
virulent attack against Clark in Canada that Clark Supporters
felt it necessary to put an armed cordon around Clark when she
was the guest speaker in Toronto. Toronto police were standing
by to assist. Polevoy's website was turned off by his original
provider, but he has since found space for his virulence from
  another fringe group..
(4). Barrett conducts an internet campaign to disrupt Clark's
activities and her support network. (a) Barrett has set up a
system whereby when someone searches for Clark information on
the internet, they are sent to a series of websites, including
his own and Polevoy's, where virulent dis-information is thrust
at the reader as authoritative. The websites are run by a house
painter in Ohio, a 22-year old veterinary student (who works with
Polevoy) in Canada, an unemployed computer consultant (whose wife
supports him) in Australia - not by anyone

also, but am allergic to beef but have it on occasion. I say to you enjoy.
  :)

Hi Ole Bob,
Based on recommendations re: my wife's diabetes, we stopped all dairy
products and she has been improving ever since. Haven't given up on beef
though, just cut back on it and eat more pork and chicken and turkey. We
are omnivores! The dairy products and beef that we are talking about ARE
NOT

started selling their crap to the dairy industry the products changed
... and the younger generation out there needs to know that. The
cumulative
effects may be slow ... may be insidious - long term!

  Robert,
I agree... beef and dairy are not what they were 40 yrs ago and its a shame.
You read so much negative information about our food today, antibiotics,
hormones, food chain farm animals being fed meat byproducts, genetically
engineered seeds...TILT! ...it gets to be too much information. I think
people just tend to ignore as we are creatures of habit/comfort.
I am thankful for my illness in some regards, it has forced me to research
all of this to regain health and prevent future problems. Its the reason I
  found this list.

I eat meat and butter, don't plan on giving them up. But milk... no thank
you. Not just because I was weaned along time ago and milk has no nutritional
benefits for humans, causes mucous to form in nasal and throat areas, milk
allergies, etc., but after watching 20/20 or 60 min. and saw a special on
dairy farms and what they strained out of the milk... no way! Not to mention
what they give the cow(hormones/antibiotics) before they milk it and what the
results of that are afterwards due to antibiotic resistant bacteria.
Fast food burgers. Yes, I do have them on a rare occasions but usually get
the chicken(questionable also) After reading somewhere, maybe this list, you
shouldn't eat fried chicken anywhere as its not in the hot oil long enough to
kill whatevers lurking on that chicken. Sorta takes the fun out of lets get
a quick lunch. Fast food beef has to be on the bottom of the barrel as far
as I'm concerned and I'm sure in the future we are going to start seeing some
  health issues surrounding these places.
I personally know of a case in the N.E. states of a man who died from mad
cow disease. A long, lingering disease process which made it hard to
diagnose until the end(8 yrs I think). That info was kept in the family. A
fellow from the funeral home told these people that this was the third case
he'd seen, that was a few years ago. Tip of the iceburg?
The upside of all this is, I always have my bottle of CS handy incase any
bugs from this stuff decide to play havic with my system. :)

 Hi Robert;

It's my understanding that the standard boiling instructions are only in
case of potential bacterial action that starts after the water has been
bottled. After all, it has no protection from pathogens, and the bottles
aren't all that sterile. In any case if you're making colloid for yourself
at home, you can rest assured that any pathogens will be killed by the
 colloid.

Heck, you can make great colloid from creek water that would have no live
 bacteria in it.

BUT for sale purposes, we don't need any more sniping from the detractors
that there was bacteria found in the CS sample, do we? Even if they never
checked to see if they were dead.

That's why ozonated water has no such instruction. It's been treated.

 ciao

Hi Linda,

As I posted earlier, my whole family takes 2 ounces per day of 10 PPM - 1
oz. in the morning and 1 oz. at bedtime - to maintain a somewhat constant
level of CS circulating in the body's system. Since I make my own, cost is
negligible. This resulted from a long period of trials at different doses.
This level seems to be best (minimal) for us and whenever any symptoms out
of the ordinary start to show up, (rarely) the dose is doubled for a day or
two and they disappear. Every body is different and since the toxicity of
CS is so minimal, there is lots of room to test for a comfortable minimum
maintainance dose for each individual. Keep notes and post back the results
you are experiencing. . Regards: Robert Bartell

CSUnknown perils in the food supply chain

2000-11-09 Thread Robert Bartell
I'm posting another little bit of news from England as an example of what can
happen to an unprotected person in today's environment. This is why I and my
entire family each consume a minimum of 2 ounces daily of colloidal silver. It
affords a great protective barrier against the unexpected and uninvited
pathogen which can turn up in the food supply from time to time (like e-coli).
The cost is negligible if you have your own generator. I'm not paranoid ! Its
just that life is so much more enjoyable while you are in a healthy state!
Here's the article and best of health to all seekers on this list: Robert

* CJD victim 'loved burgers'

A 20-year-old woman who died from CJD was a devil for McDonald's and
regularly ate Campbell's Meatballs, an inquest heard. Kirsty Garven,
from Chester, ate the same sort of food as the rest of her family,
said her mother Jennifer, but added that she would go out at night and
have a burger.

She was not a great beef eater but loved Campbell's Meatballs. No one
else in the family liked them but she ate them a lot, said Mrs
Garven.

Kirsty, a financial administration officer at Marks Spencer, died in
July after showing symptoms of CJD for a year. Her death from the
human form of BSE was one of three cases heard at Crewe Coroner's
Court.

The other victims were Thomas Gemmel, 17, and Alison Thorpe, 25.
Coroner Nicholas Rheinberg said all three had died unnatural deaths
caused by CJD from contaminated beef in the food chain. He recorded
verdicts of misadventure on each.

A changing magnetic field induces a current in any conductor. That is how
a generator works. The magnetic pulsar than pulses magnetically and generates
current around the magnetic field lines. This allows the current to be inside
areas where a zapper does not get to, such as lymph nodes. It works
wonderfully for lymph nodes and nerve ganglia. I don't know about intestines,
just an idea.

I am not sure I understand the question. Do you mean the mechanism,

The mechanism would be the same I believe as how it works with the
lymph nodes. The sharp change in magnetic field causes an eddy current to be
generated in the tissue which kills the pathogens.

'Triple Jab Autism (MMR) Could Be Next BSE'

[By Sarah-Kate Templeton Health Editor in the Sunday Herald, UK.]

http://www.sundayherald.com/news/newsi.hts?section=Newsamp;story_id=12363

The consultant who first suggested that the MMR vaccine
causes autism
has warned MSPs that government failure to face up to the danger
will lead
to a catastrophe on the scale of the BSE crisis (Mad Cow
Disease).
Dr Andrew Wakefield told a Scottish parliament cross-party
group on
autism, launched in Edinburgh last week, that the UK faces an
epidemic of
the lifelong disorder. He renewed his call for single vaccines to
be used to
immunise against measles, mumps and rubella.
On a two-day visit to Scotland, Wakefield - a consultant
gastroenterologist at the Royal Free Hospital in London - hit out
at Sir
Kenneth Calman, the chief medical officer in 1998.
In the official report into the BSE crisis, Calman was
blamed for
saying that beef was safe. Wakefield said Calman had taken the
same approach
  to the MMR scare.
Calman had warned that a wave of lethal epidemics could
sweep Britain
if parents went on refusing combined vaccines. The former chief
medical
officer had said there was no need, on the basis of evidence
presented by
  Wakefield, to change vaccination policy.
Wakefield said: These same people have been seen as
victims of their
own handling of BSE, and that is where we are heading with the
MMR.
It is going to take a strong body of people that are not
prepared to
be pushed around to prevent a similar situation.

CSColloidal Silver in milk

2000-11-09 Thread Robert Bartell
It's been reported in this list that some people are putting colloidal silver
in their milk. It can't hurt and probably helps a whole bunch! However, it
doesn't have an effect on the Monsanto Chemical increased hormones in the milk.
In any event it appears that the word on dairy products is getting out. Just
received this post from Robert which is quite interesting. Regards: Robert
Bartell

Dear Friends,

The wholesale price of milk has never been lower. Eighteen months ago,
farmers were receiving nearly $18 for 100 pounds of milk ($18 per
hundredweight).

Today, they net $8.50 per hundredweight, and the future looks dim.
Last year, producers were selling blocks of cheese for $1.44. Today,
cheese is selling for 98 cents per pound.

When I began the AntiDairy Coalition four years ago, there were 240,000
dairy farms in America. Today there are 83,000, and I just don't see
how many thousands more will avoid bankruptcy this winter. Future
prices (commodities) reflect no optimism for the dairy farmers of
America. June futures are under $10.

People are consuming less milk, and dairymen continue to inject their
cows with dangerous genetically engineered hormones. This leads to
a market in which more milk is supplied as demand decreases.

Is something wrong with this picture?

I recently lectured with Ralph Nader in Washington, DC to a group of
dairy farmers. Imagine me getting a standing ovation from milk
producers? On that day, Nader and I both shared an opinion and a
vision:

Genetically engineered milk hormones are dangerous for cows, consumers,
and the financial future of dairy farmers.

One day, we will have just factory farms with hormone-fed stressed
animals. That day will bring America closer to a time when nobody will
eat the toxin-laden flesh of animals nor drink their body fluids.

I am off to San Diego. Be back late Sunday.

Re: CSColloidal Silver in milk

2000-11-09 Thread Robert Bartell
Come on now! It isn't the farmers who are being taken to task but the Chemical
and Pharmaceutical Companies who are directly responsible for contaminating the
food supply and causing grievous death and injury ... all for a buck. Robert
is right in attacking them through dispersal of information that causes people
to stop purchasing those products. In Belgium, recently, all dairy products
were taken off the market for a month or more due to high levels of dioxin - a
nasty toxic carcinogen. now read this from Dr. Mercola's latest health
newsletter: Quote:
Cancer and IGF-1: Another Reason to Avoid Milk - According to a recent
editorial in the British Medical Journal, The risk of cancer is higher among
people with raised concentrations of insulin-like growth factor-I. This adds
more evidence as to why milk should be avoided after early childhood. Milk from
synthetic growth hormone treated cow's is even more dangerous, as the levels of
IGF-1 are even higher.

I understand that the person who wrote this is totally anti dairy, but
crowing over the fact that many people are losing their family farms, and a way

THere are many MANY farmers out there who do not use Rbgh or Rbst in their
dairy farming operations. There are also many famers looking into organic
farming, dairying included.

In addition to that, humans were made to be omnivores. Those who choose the
vegetarian or vegan way of life, are certainly welcome to it.
Wonder where they'll find THEIR unadulterated food when to quote Cohen, we
will have just factory farms. . . .

The more family and small farms driven out of business by low prices for
their commodities, the more factory farms we'll have. And that will include
the raising of our grains, beans, etc, that vegans and vegetarians need to eat
as well.

CSDancing to the Health Tune

2000-11-08 Thread Robert Bartell
Dancing to the Health Tune could be described as two steps forward - one step
back Agggh! Know anybody into organic gardening? Pass this along!

* Pesticide link to Parkinson's

Gardeners could be at risk of contracting Parkinson's disease through
a commonly-used pesticide, scientists have suggested.

Experiments on rats showed a strong link between ROTENONE - a natural
product extracted from the derris plant, and a mainstay of organic
farms and gardens - and the disabling illness which causes muscle
rigidity and shaking.

Professor Tim Greenamyre, of Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia,
writing in the journal Nature Neuroscience, says rats repeatedly given
rotenone not only develop the symptoms of Parkinson's but acquire the
distinctive microscopic lumps in the brain, known as Lewy bodies, that
are a sure sign of the disease.

These results, he adds, indicate that chronic exposure to a common
pesticide can reproduce the anatomical, neurochemical, behavioural and
neuropathological features of Parkinson's disease.

2000-11-08 Thread Robert Bartell
It seems to do nothing but get worse and worse in spite of logical answers and
suppression of evidence. Check this out -- just came in from England -- !

* Diabetes affects one in 20

One in 20 of the world's adult population now suffers from diabetes,
according to the latest figures. The first global diabetes atlas
reveals that more than 151 million adults now live with the condition.

Professor Sir George Alberti, president of the International Diabetes
Federation, says that number is set to double in the next 25 years.

He said the westernisation of people's lifestyles is leading to a
rapid spread of type 2 diabetes, particularly in developing countries.
Type 2 or adult onset diabetes is associated with obesity, poor eating
habits, and a sedentary lifestyle.

The world atlas reveals that the disease is rising between younger,
economically productive people, and is particularly prevalent in urban
areas. In the UK around 1.4 million people have been diagnosed with
diabetes, but Diabetes UK believes a further one million have the
disease without knowing it.

PS. Putting CS into your milk to clean up on the pathogenic contamination is a
great idea -- effective protocol -- and well advised. But be aware that it
does nothing to lower the increased levels of the hormone IGF-1 that we are now
getting from the Monsanto Cows and the concentrated amounts of same in dairy
products.

I sent Dr. Torres message regarding a vaccine for diabetes to a f friend
who speaks spanish and was able to read his links. I also asked him the
question regarding fructose. His responses follow. He is very knowledgable
abourt nutrition.
  Joanne

  Dear Joanne

Since diabetes type II is not insulin-dependent (that is, the person's
pancreas
  produces
insulin normally), but insulin-resistant (that is, the insulin does not
produce
  the expected
results), it is clearly a bodily dysfunction that can be restored with proper
  care. I know
that aerobic exercise, weight loss and proper food will do the trick.

  Other things might work too.

Now, the way Alex Torres introduced his vaccine is quite suspicious. Firstly
with some irresponsible declaration about eating habits (in his previous
  message);
secondly, with so many useless references to the doctor who invented the
  vaccine.
It does not add value to know that he taught Che Guevara or that his
father's bone are in the Rotunda.

The immunization process he mentions is very well known. It has been used
to treat a bunch of diseases, from acne and pustule to cancer and several
other degenerative diseases. The results have always been more or less
  inconclusive.

Now, I want to be very careful about this because altough I find everything
here very suspect, I still think it might be worthwhile to do some additional
  research.

It is a well-known fact that the tradional labs do not support medical
research
that leads to cheaper treatments, especially of those diseases that force the
patient to take medicine for the rest of theirs lives. This represents
trillions

of dollars a year and no lab wants to lose this.

Also, researches conducted outside the US are not readily accepted by American
  authorities.

I read one of the articles mentioned by Alex Torres. Unfortunately, it is not
a good document. It is emotional. It mentions 600 patients cured of several
diseases, especially diabetes. But the way they prove the cure it by
quoting the patients themselves. No blind test, no double blind, no lab tests
are referred to. It still may work, but the articles are not acceptable.

So, I am NOT saying this auto-vaccine can not work or will not work.
What I am saying is that
it requires further investigation before someone decides to take the risk of
having manipulated blood re-injected in his/her body. Since the blood is
his/her own, risk is minimum, but still exists. Especially because flasks can
be

  intermixed, etc.

Also, good eating habits plus exercise will not only control diabetes but also
bring other benefits. So, the most conservative and the safest decision
  is try this first.

The general tone of Alex' messages coincides with the tone I found in the
articles and papers he mentions: the cure does exist, but Mexican authorities
are not interested in acknowledging it; American authorities will not
recognize
  his merits; ...

Nothing he says is necessarly wrong, but suspicious.

In my opinion people should not eat any form of purified or refined
sugar. This includes
fructose. In fact, sucrose, saccharose, glucose, maltose and the several
other ose are
all empty calorie. What this means is very serious. Let's say you eat 100g
of any of
these sugars. You'll get 400 calories, but no vitamins, no minerals, no
proteins, no fat.
You still need such nutrients, so you'll have to eat additional food to get
those elements.
What is worse: your body can not process sugar without consuming enzymes,
vitamins
and minerals, so you'll have to eat MORE in order to compensate for the
nutrients
the empty calorie food used up.

So, you have two good reasons NOT to eat any form of sugar: a) excess
calories;
  b) nutrients depletion.

Now, fructose, in a sense is better than all the other sugars, the reason
being it has
a low glycemic index, which means it does not play havoc with your
insulin/glucagon
production, as the other sugars do.

So, from the point of view of insulin resistance, fructose is better. From
the point of
view of nutrition, it is the same.

There is another little factor in favor of fructose: since is it 1.5 times
sweeter than
sucrose (table sugar), you would take less to have the same effect, so you
tend to
end up with a little less empty calories.

Now, there is a situation where you should NOT be affraid of fructose: when
you eat
fresh fruits, like apples. In this case you'll be ingesting little fructose
(maybe 15 g

 safe to use?

A water container to fit inside the large 56 Henry
coil has dimensions of 4 inch diameter and 11 inch
 length.

The Tesla Electric Co, can procure the large induction
coils for others, but they are very expensive,$666.00
+ and 45 delay days for rewinding after recieving
coil, not to even mention horrendous shipping costs
from Ohio. The coil companies will not supply an
inside lead which is why rewinding is necessary.

TEC currently has five 23 gauge coils and one
mislocated 24 gauge coil. Four are engaged with other
projects and this one is dedicated to the production
of CS water. Thus I will not not be able to test
production of BRS colloidal water for this immediate
time period. However the resonance of a single coil
should be able to produce a less efficient effect.

In this scenario the sample of water is simultaneously
subjected to the magnetic field from the inductor as
the 4 by 11 inch water cylinder is contained at the
center of this magnetic field. The normal impedance of
 the 56 Henry coil @ 1000 ohms 23 gauge 20,000 wind
coils is 5.6 ma current consumption made by ordinarily
simply plugging the coil into the 60 hz, 120 volt wall
outlet. Placing the coil into approximate series
resonance then uses four .5 uf caps in series to
deliver ~ .12 uf to the coil for 60 hz resonance.
These coils will never fully resonate due to massive
internal capacitance, and a normal 75 ma conduction is
made in a single wall voltage resonance, which is
improved with a binary sytem to 85 ma. In the single
coil case a ~15 fold resonant rise of voltage exists.

The container of water is then hooked to this resonant
rise of voltage via silver half dollar immersion of
coin only under surface of distilled water: placed
either in parallel to the coil or capacitive system.
Additionally the container of water is placed in the
inductors magnetic field to act as a potential
stirring action induced by the 90 degree lorentz
forces that act as electric and magnetic field
interactions when these fields are at right angles.

The predicted actions here are that high voltages will
be initially present at the silver electrodes, and
that this resonant rise of voltage will quickly drop
in coordination with the conductivity of the solution.
No arcing is used in this process. The water short
acts as a regulator: as it becomes more conductive,
less voltage is delivered because the voltage rise is
dependent on the resonance: where the conductivity of
the solution in parallel to the resonant voltage rise
in turn shuts that voltage rise down, thus always
theoretically delivering consistancy in batches to
produce a batch in coordination not with time of
exposure, but rather when a certain reduction of
amperage consumption as noted/ or when a certain level
of voltage to the (AC) process is reached.

Additionally any possible effects of the colloidal
water making the coil appear less or more inductive
will be noted and posted to list if that parameter
shows up. Placing this water sample in the coil does
not change the inductance or impedance of the coil by
any percentage of amperage consumption currently
 measured in reactive condition.

I am very uninformed upon this field, but recently
viewed Bob Becks VHS tape, and I am also building the
Zapper referenced by Keelynet. I am VERY impressed by
everything! So if someone can post a note that silver
coins are safe to use for CS water I will start making
it according to my wall frequency AC resonant method
and report the results to list. I really admire Bob
Beck's self less ethic, but the info about garlic
being so detrimental caught me by surprise, I am a
 garlic lover too!

On Bob Beck's video that I saw his sample from a 9
volt battery appeared to produce CS in a matter of
minutes, and he declares simplicity as the solution,
but we always have others (like myself that wonder too
much)how simple can anything be? Can we really make
 it better?

These are the ongoing actions of the dream of ego: the
self maintaining: self perpetuating structure known as
 self delusion... a tibetan axiom
 Sincerely,
 Harvey D Norris

Ran across the following and am passing it on for whatever its worth to you.
It continues to astound me that so many of our politicians still favor the
socialization of our medical system. Asses! :

* Irish doctors regret going into medicine

Almost a third of all doctors in Ireland said they would reject
medicine as a career if they were back at school, according to a
survey by the Irish Medical Organisation.Among femal doctors the
numbers were as high as 36%, compared to 29% among male respondents.
Some 42% of the country's junior doctors said they regreted going into
medicine, compared to a quarter of GPs and consultants. Increasing
workload and fear of litigation were cited as two major concerns in
the profession.

CSHVAC Colloidal Silver Generator Construction

2000-11-06 Thread Robert Bartell
Hi ole Bob,

Over the week-end and today, I have acquired all the PVC pipe and fittings that
you specified and purchased a brand new Actown transformer, 120 volts primary
in and 12,000 volts at 30 mA out - secondary mid point grounded. I think we now
have enough to proceed with construction while I go shopping for the CO2 tank,
flow meter and valves. Sounds like Vince and a couple of others are looking
over our shoulders as we get this unit up and operating, so we'll keep it on
the list instead of going off-line if that's ok with you. Ready for Phase
II. What do we do next?
Regards: Robert Bartell

Re: CSHVAC Colloidal Silver Generator Construction

2000-11-06 Thread Robert Bartell
Hey Vince,
Looks like Ole Bob's model, which I hope to duplicate, sinters off much finer
particles from the anode by arcing HV through co2 gas. The particles also carry
a stronger electrical charge.(Longer shelf life) He describes his unit as HVAC
ARC CO2. The PVC pipe and fittings are for construction of a dry ice cannister
that will feed CO2 into the top of the DW jar. The CO2 tank (same as they use
for soft drinks) will replace the dry ice CO2 unit for more serious control
over the CO2 with pressure valves and a flow meter. In case you missed it, here
is what Ole Bob said in a previous post.

The CS that I make with the HVAC ARC method does not settle out. I think the
only one that makes it for sale to clinics is Dr. Bill Biagioli. He told me
that he has gotten out of the retail business.

Check the CS with a laser pointer if the T.E. can be seen in normal room
lighting then it is not very good. The HVAC ARC has almost no T.E. when
viewed in a dark room.

The Transmission electron microscope pictures of my HVAC ARC CO2 is in the
1-2 nm and the 6-8 nm range.

Ole Bob

Hang in here and read the posts daily. You'll get the same instructions I get
from Ole Bob and we'll all confer as we go along. Should be interesting!

 Hi Robert.

With the PVC piping for the dry ice method you will not need the CO2
 tanks, etc.

I will make the jar cover so that we can do both.

One other item, now this may sound strange but go to an auto parts store
and get a Bosch platinum spark plug. That will be the center electrode.

Do you have DMM with AC current scales?

Tomorrow I will send you the dimension for cutting and gluing the
 plastic Dry ice holder.

The change in viscosity is a VERY interesting phenomenon.

Re: CSHVAC/ARC Transformer source?

2000-11-05 Thread Robert Bartell
Hey Vince,
You're welcome! If you can afford a new unit with a GFI, go for that! As for
going the other way (without a GFI), if my house burns down, I'll let you
and Ole Bob know right away although I don't think that its much
of a risk!
Regards. Robert Bartell

 Thanks Robert,
By the way, is a GFI going to be a problem? It doesn't seem like it would
since the current to ground should still be zero if all goes as planned.
I
just wanted to make sure. There is a neon sign place in my town. I'll
check there first. A new transformer wouldn't be out of my reach
 financially.

  Hi Vince,
Any manufacturer of Neon signs can get you one. Code now requires the
transformers to have ground fault interruptors for certification. The
 older
ones didn't have them and you can probably find a good deal around for a
  used one.
New ones are around $100 - $120 retail. Used or old style should be
about
$35 to $40, Good Luck and good hunting! :Robert Bartell Oh, by the
way,
thanks to ole Bob on this list for this info!

What is a source on the internet of Transformers in the 120/15,000V

Re: CSrosemary jacobs

2000-11-04 Thread Robert Bartell
My understanding of the research focuses on particle size. Electro-colloidal
silver in the .001 Micon to .015 Micron range freely circulates in the systems
and in the course of normal events is completely flushed out of the body in 4
days or slightly less. This is why we take daily maintainance doses -- to
retain a level of presence.

This means that the body does not accumulate these small particles.;
without an accumulative effect Argyria does not occur. On the other hand,
introduce large particles in the body that do not freely circulate (and rapidly
lose their electrical charge - are no longer ionized) and the bodys metal
scavaging system will deposit them out of the way near the surface of the
skin (Argyria). Bear in mind guys that this is, of course, an
oversimplification to explain this in simple terms that most people can
understand. You would require a couple of volumes to get the complete
scientific explanation. What it boils down to is that there is no necessity for
scaring the hell out of the less educated (ala FDA tactics) about Argyia.
Colloidal Silver IS SAFE! You are spinning your wheels trying to figure out
what volumes equate to Argyria. If the body retained all of the silver put in
it, then it would be a different story - but it doesn't. --- Robert Bartell

  Roger,
The lowest recorded amount of silver to cause argyria, that I have seen,
is 900mg over the course of a year orally, which equates to 90 L of
10ppm CS. Another study, as reported by Dr John Hill, estimated that the
minimum oral dose for producing argyria is 25 to 50 grams over a 6 month
period, which equates to 2,500 to 5000 L.
The 900mg result seems to be out of step with all other estimates.

Silver Nitrate is soluble in water 222gm AgNO3 per 100gm of water.
Silver nitrate solutions contained about 10% AgNO3, this equates to a
37,400 ppm solution as silver, ie 37,400 mg per litre or 37.4 gm per
litre. 10 ml of this would supply 0.374 gm of silver!

So you can see that not too much of this brew is required to reach the
limits as shown above, and of course some people will be more
susceptible than others. Not many cases of argyria considering the
numbers of people who used these products.

  Ivan.

Ivan: From the figures above it seems quite likely that silver nitrate is the
real culprit simply because it is capable of transporting so much silver into
the body in a relatively short time period. So I would be interested to know
if there is ANY documented case in which CS caused argyria? If not, isn't it
safe to say that it is PRACTICALLY impossible for CS to produce argyria. On a
related point, do you have any data at all that equates CS's in vivos
efficacy to particle size? Even from a qualitative point of view such as
Tyndall, conductivity, color, clarity? Finally, do you think there is any
truth to the claim that using a low quality CS (large particle size) is the
best strategy for attacking infections in the stomach and intestines because
of the (presumed) slower rate at which these particles ionize? Roger

CSFw: NOTMILK STOSSELED BY A HOSTILE FOSSIL

Subject: NOTMILK STOSSELED BY A HOSTILE FOSSIL

 Dear Friends,

Last night, 20-20 ran a story on DIOXINS in Ben Jerry's ice cream.

From now on, when I see an attempt by the media to alter truth, I will
refer to it as a stosselism. Any reporter who attempts to become a
corporate shill will be referred to as a stosselist. A lie will be
called a stossel. Conjugate the verb. I stossel, you stossel, she
 stossels, they stossel...we all stossel.

Here is a partial transcript of last night's show. I begin with the
ending. After the reporter stosseled, Barbara Walters said:

 They won't like you.

 John Stossel's response:

The ice cream's safe. There are low levels of dioxins in
all kinds of food. I have Ben Jerry's in my freezer. My
kids eat it. It's high in fat, but it's safe. It's this
 feel-good environmentalism that galls me.

Earlier in the four minute segment, Stossel explained:

Dioxin...it's absorbed in animal fat, and that's how most of
it gets to us...EPA considers dioxin a cancer risk...there is dioxin
in the ice cream...there are 13 pats of butter in a cup of
Ben Jerry's ice cream. Do you think people know that?

Stossel had cited Steve Milloy's junkscience.com website.

Milloy tested Ben and Jerry's vanilla ice cream, and found it to contain
200 times the safe level of dioxin.

The Department of Environmental Protection repeated the tests, and found
consumers eating ice cream containing 2,200 times the safe level of
 dioxin.

Stossel intentionally failed to reveal the actual levels of unsafe
dioxins. His report revealed only their presense. His logic? DEP
calls it a cancer risk, but he serves it to his kids because
 feel-good environmentalists gall him.

The name of Stossel's editorial segment is:

 GIVE ME A BREAK!

I'd like to ask ABC to do the same.
I've been stosseled more than I care to admit,
and this is the last stossel.

To paraphrase a famous philosopher: There are stossels,
damned stossels, and statistics. Today's wish is
for Mr. Stossel to become a statistic. 20-20's credibility
will forever be questioned when stosselists stossel.

I'll dig it out and get back to you!
Using myself as a guinea pig, I got a much larger time

How did you determine this?

I certainly concurr!

 learn anything.
That's what we are doing!

Vendors are cretainly a questionable source. Don't you think?
Oh yes! They certainly are questionable!

Hi Suzy,

Absorption thru the skin --- sure! Just fill up the bathtub with DMSO and .
NO, No, don't do that --- I'm just teasing with you! Seriously, CS is great
for cuts, scratches, and especially burns to prevent infection. The best easy
protection comes from taking it orally on a daily basis, spraying the nose and
throat or as eye drops. Keep reading the posts and archieves this is
really great and safe good stuff! Hang in there

studies or knowledge on absorption rate? Would it also absorb through the
