3.0.0.16: Importing messages is still VERY slow

2004-09-20 Thread Peter Meyns
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-
Hash: SHA1

Hi all,

I still observe that it takes a long time to import messages. In the
last case there were only four messages, and they were downloaded in a
few seconds. The Connection Centre kept importing and only closed
after 1'40 with TB! freezing in between. (I had this before with some
hundred messages - maybe this is meant for me to learn to be more
patient... B-) )

Sorting Office of VF creates AV

2004-09-24 Thread Peter Meyns
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-

Hi all,

when I try to open the Sorting Office of a Virtual Folder, I get two
subsequent AV pop-ups stating the following:

Access violation at address 00771E00 in module 'thebat.exe'. Read of
address 0510.

Then the SO opens and I can add a new filter. Alas, the Actions tab is
empty... Hitting del on this unusable filter creates the AV again,
then lets me ok it.

BTW, it looks like there is only one SO for all Virtual Folders, so it
doesn't make much sense anyway. Each VF should have its own filters.

3.0.2.7 uninstall doesn't remove mailpwd

2004-11-12 Thread Peter Meyns
Hi all,

I had no problem installing the new version. The restoring from a tbk
file worked very well, as far as I can see. I had yet to uninstall it,
because I hadn't chosen the correct mail directory during the first
install, and I didn't find a way to make TB! use it. The entry in
Preferences -- System was the one I wanted, but TB! used the other
one.

Uninstall and new install went well, but I found that the previous
mailpwd directory was neither removed nor emptied during uninstall,
although I had Keep database unchecked. I had to delete it manually
for space reasons (that's why I want my mail folder in a different
location...)

CF Did you first delete the Ritlabs-entry in the registry, too? I did so and I

CF encrypting version or going back to the regular one which doesn't)

No, I didn't. I relied completely on The Bat! in this case. After all,
it's beta testing. *s*

Deleting it manually wasn't /such/ a pain, I just thought it should
belong to the uninstall procedure.
