seit einiger Zeit, beim Wandeln von Text in Kurve, fügt Draw ans Ende von
einzelnen Wörtern ein Hochkommata. Vermutlich ein Bug. Ich arbeite auf

Liebe Leute,

ich weiß, es hat nichts mit OO zu tun, wollte aber dennoch für euch
Lubuntu-User vor pcmanfm Dateimanager warnen. Beim Verschieben von Dateien
von einer Memory Card auf den PC verändert er vollkommen willkürlich das
Datum der Datei! Der Dateimanager Krusader verhält sich korrekt.

Billiger ist es, die Festplatte auszubauen und mit einem USB-Kit (gibt es
bei Conrad zu erwerben oder Amazon) an einen anderen PC anzuschließen. Wenn
von dort aus nichts gelesen werden kann, dann wird der Spezialist auch
seine Schwierigkeiten haben!

Keine richtige Antwort, aber nur eine Geschmacksfrage: wenn beispielsweise
1,20 als 1,2 dargestellt würde, erweckt es den Eindruck, die Zahl wäre auf
eine Nachkommastelle auf- oder abgerundet. Wenn alles auf die zweite Stelle
genau ist, sollte es in meinen Augen auch so dargestellt werden, also 1,00
etc.

We no longer produce MD5 files. Instead we have SHA256 and SHA512. Users need 
only check one and not the other. Instructions are complex and involve multiple 
choices.

OpenOffice project, do not know if what what you received was authentic.

Man kann unter MacOS auch nicht verifizierte Software installieren. Habe
den Vorgang nicht auswendig im Kopf, aber mit einem rechten Mausklick auf
die Installationsdatei müsste man die Erlaubnis geben können, das Programm
auch ohne Verifizierung zu installieren.

I tested it with Lion 10.7 last year. We go to extra effort in the build to

Typically they bundle a version on a DVD and charge a nominal fee. Often they 
do very little and even point users to the various free, community supported 
resources like this mailing list.

The Apache Software Foundation is a non-profit that is dedicated to providing 
software for the public good free of charge. Oracle Corp. donated the codebase 
and trademarks to the Foundation nearly 9 years ago. The project and code is

Scanned images are just like photographs (bitmaps = just a series of
dots that make up a picture). To turn scanned text into editable text
you have to process the image through OCR (Optical Character
Recognition) software.

Can you explain in more detail what you mean by "stopped working"?
You appear to be using Windows 10 and I am guessing you are double
clicking on document names and those documents are not opening.
Do any error or other messages appear? If so, what do they say?
Can you start the program (eg. Writer) from the Windows menu?
With  answers to those questions we might be able to understand your
issued an suggest a solution.

Bei Tabellen ist es auch sehr einfach zu lösen: Tabelle -> Zahlenformat ->
Text. Dann kann man schreiben was man will, OpenOffice versucht nicht, es
zu interpretieren.

Deine Beschreibung ist absolut unklar. Was heißt das "gelegentlich"? Was
ist gemeint mit "Überblick-Block"?

Erst wenn du dich klarer ausdrücken würdest, könntest du mit sachgerechter
Hilfe rechnen.

(1) You are sending from a different email than your subscription.
(2) The generated unsubscribe verification emails are in your spam or junk 
folder.
(3) Gmail is bouncing the generated unsubscribe verification emails.

If (3) is the reason then I hope that one of the volunteer list moderators can 
help by manually unsubscribing you.

Please note that attachments are removed from posts to this list, which 
means that most subscribers will not see your capture.


I can see your image and my guess is that you have a number of pages 
(not spreadsheets) in the document and you have somehow inadvertently 
switched from single page view into book view and your window zoom has 
remained at 100%.


The simple solution is to click on the left hand icon of the 3 icons in 
the bottom right hand corner of the Writer window. I am attaching an 
extract from your screen capture illustrating the window area.

Gimp, ein tolles Programm für einzelne Bilder, ist nicht geeignet für die
Erstellung von Broschüren etc. Publisher, wie der Name schon sagt, ist
extra dafür da. Kostet auch nicht die Welt (20 Euro)

Publisher ist ein getrenntes Programm, nicht Teil der Office Suite.
Vielleicht ist es gerade deshalb ein gutes Programm (gewesen)? Wenn man das
Programm gut kennt und damit gut arbeitet, würde ich damit erstmals
weiterarbeiten. Nach meiner Erinnerung war es geeignet für die Erstellung
von Zeitschriften etc.

Meines Wissens ist (oder war) Microsoft Publisher eines der wenigen
Programme von Microsoft, das die Beschreigung "vernünftig" verdient.
Vermutlich ist aber das Format von OpenOffice nicht zu öffnen. Wenn du
Publisher noch hast, mache die damit angefangenen Arbeiten zu Ende, oder
schau, ob du aus dem Programm heraus in einem anderen Format speichern
kannst.

Fußzeilen sind dafür da, dass sie sich wiederholen, solange bis
beispielsweise ein neues Kapitel beginnt. Du müsstest eine an der Seite
verankerte Textbox einfügen, die du dann markierst und auf der Folgeseite
wieder einfügst, und danach den Inhalt ändern.

Ja das geht.

Man kann einzelne Passagen markieren und diesen markierten Stellen eine
andere Sprache für die Rechtschreibung zuweisen (über das Menü Extras ->
Sprache-> Für die Auswahl).

Man kann ganzen Absätzen eine andere Sprache zuweisen. Wenn man viele
solche Absätze hat, kann man z.B. für solche in Latein eine extra
Absatzvorlage definieren und in dieser unter dem Reiter Schrift Latein
auswählen. Voraussetzung ist natürlich, dass man die jeweiligen
Rechtschreibmodule installiert hat.

Der Begriff "fehlt" ist unpassend. Die 32bit OpenOffice tut seinen Dienst

This will be the fourth try at attempting to contact you. You don't make it
easy. The following is my original message.
I used to use Word up until about 10 years ago when somebody suggested Open
Office to me. I much prefer this to Word. I do have one issue though. I
used Excel a lot. They had a function where I could add certain lines to a
total. On your .ods file, I can find that function. I don't have Word or
Excel on my PC now. I miss that function. I have Open Office version 4.1.6.
Does that have the function I want? I've checked all the options at the top
and can't find that function. Am I just missing seeing it? Please help
because I miss that function. Thank you.

The downloads on sourceforge are the ones that are created by the Apache 
OpenOffice project.

Matthias is the one who currently creates all of the Windows builds as a 
volunteer. We are all volunteers and SourceForge has generously donated to our 
community hosting for well over 250,000,000 million downloads for the last 8 
years.

Our macOS builds support version 10.7 and greater. Apple has evolved their 
Gatekeeper program over this time period. There are ways to get around this and 
usually someone will point this out. Try looking at forums.openoffice.org.

Actually you should be concerned about malware from OpenOffice.de where the 
windows installer and Linux repos are repackaged by the owner of that domain.

There are ways to verify that you are getting the correct package that involve 
other tools. I’m away from desk, but others can answer that question.

No. We are the developers and maintainers of OpenOffice only.

Bevor man sagt: "Warum funktioniert nicht ...?" sollte man sich vielleicht
die Frage stellen, was man selbst falsch macht. Man könnte die Frage anders
formulieren: "Wie kann ich die Schriftfarbe ändern?" Das wäre eine
höflichere Formulierung!

Also, wenn man nur einzelne Wörter farbig gestalten möchte: Einfach
markieren und in der Menüleiste oben den "Schriftfarbe"-Button anklicken
und die gewünschte Farbe auswählen. Wenn der gesamte Text farbig sein
sollte, dann unter "Format -> Formatvorlagen -> Absatzvorlage -> Ändern
(mit rechter Maustaste) -> Schrifteffekte -> Schriftfarbe"

Eine Textverarbeitung wie OpenOffice ist doch ein komplexes Programm. Ich
habe eine Einführung spezielle für Studenten geschrieben:

There is no connection or relationship between Apache OpenOffice and any
edition of Microsoft Office, so the answer to your question is no.
However you are using the Outlook email client which is part of Office
365 and Apache OpenOffice does not provide an email client, but many
users choose the Mozilla Thunderbird email program as an alternative to
Outlook.

In addition to Brian's excellent answer, when you right mouse click on a
word the context (pop-up) menu that opens will have an entry at the
bottom called "Synonyms" with sub-menu options, the last of which is
"Thesaurus". Selecting this option opens the Thesaurus dialog you are
familiar with.

Na ja, in so einem Fall, einfach Rahmen am Seitenende platzieren mit einem
oder mehreren manuell nummerierte "Fußnoten". Es sind dann optisch
Fußnoten, aber nicht technisch.

Wie schon gesagt, zweimal auf die gleiche Fußnote zu verweisen,
widerspricht allen Regeln der Buchkunst. Da kommt man wirklich nur
durcheinander. Querverweise sind keine Lösung. Wenn es eine inhaltliche
Fußnote ist (also Argumentation), reicht es, wenn nur einmal auf sie
verwiesen wird. Oder, wenn sie so wichtig ist, dann lieber doch gleich in
den Text einbauen, und nicht als Fußnote. Quellen müssen *jedesmal*
aufgeführt werden! Also wenn ein Text 20x zitiert wird, müssen dazu 20
Fußnoten her, das ist halt so.

zweimal auf die gleiche fußnote verweisen geht tatsächlich nicht, wäre auch
ein bruch mit allen konventionen! wenn es sich um eine wiederholung einer
quelle handelt, kann man a.a.O. schreiben, statt die quelle jedesmal ganz
auszuschreiben.

wahrscheinlich nicht machbar, aber ich frage für alle Fälle dennoch: Wenn
man einen langen Text hat und man ist sicher, dass zwei bestimmte Worte in
der Nähe voneinander sein müssen, und man möchte die betreffende Textstelle
wieder finden ... Geht das?

It is likely you started OpenOffice from the Disk Image. Quit OpenOffice and 
then Eject.

You should then be able to restart from the Applications folder. The first time 
you will need to press the control key and click in order to start.

Man kann vieles vorschlagen, die Frage ist, ob die Programmierer Zeit
haben, so was zu implementieren, und auch wie wichtig so eine Funktion wäre.

In meinen Augen ist eine solche Funktion sogar kontraproduktiv.
Mailverkehr, Mailverwaltung etc. sind eine andere Baustelle als die
Verfassung eines Textes. Wenn man das alles zusammenfügt, verliert man eher
den Überblick.

Wir sind unter uns eines höflichen Umgangstons gewöhnt. Wir sind keine
Automaten, sondern Menschen, OpenOffice-User*innen, die gerne anderen Usern
helfen, wenn die sich einigermaßen ausdrücken können.

Programm reagiert nicht? Einfach neu starten. Unter Extras kann man die
automatische Speicherung von 10 auf 1 Minute runtersetzen, dann sind beim
Neustart alle Änderungen an der Datei da (bis auf die letzten Sekunden).

Hallo Konrad,

ja, zwei Betriebssysteme Seite an Seite gehen. Es muss aber eine freie
Partition vorhanden sein, bzw. Lubuntu bietet die Möglichkeit, eine
vorhandene Partition zu verkleinern, um Platz zu schaffen (er fragt während
der Installation). Aber vorher jedenfalls Daten sichern!

Am besten sich ein sichereres Gefühl verschaffen, indem man es auf einen
alten Rechner packt, den man eh nicht mehr benutzt. In dem Fall dann die
ganze Festplatte verwenden, denn 25 Gbyte sind nicht die Welt.

Lubuntu ziehe ich Ubuntu vor, kommt mit weniger Balast.

Eine andere Lösung, die komplizierter klingt, als sie in Wirklichkeit ist:
alle Daten auf externer Festplatte sichern und Lubuntu (eine Lightversion
von Ubuntu) von einem bootfähigen USB-Stick installieren. Danach die
Programme, die du brauchst, installieren. Probeweise zunächst auf einem
älteren Notebook, das du möglicherweise sowieso nicht mehr so oft benutzt.
Ist wesentlich schneller als Windows...

Hallo,

wir duzen uns auf dieser Platform, wir sind alle User, die sich gegenseitig
helfen.

Das Problem kann ich mir nur vorstellen, dass du nicht die Rechte auf die
Datei besitzt, vielleicht, weil du sie online bearbeiten möchtest oder sie
einem anderen User "gehört". Das wäre dann ein Problem, das mit dem
Programm nichts zu tun hat.

Neither screen resolution or memory are the issues here.

How Is Windows 10 S Different?
The biggest difference in Windows 10 S is that can only run apps
downloaded from the Windows Store.

So unless AOO is added to the Windows Store, or the OP can switch out of
S Mode, the answer to his question is NO.
