Hi Hugh,

I change my phones frequently and have found the Nova Media plug-in
to work the best with all my handsets and i-sync. They update their
plug-in's on a regular basis.

Yes this works with a Nokia 5300

Motorola A1000 and isync

2005-10-27 Thread FRANK BIUNDO

Hi all.

Could anyone please let me know if they have a Motorola A1000 phone and have

My phone provider is offering me an upgrade but I first need to know that it

Thanks

isync/palm woes

2005-06-30 Thread Rosemary Horton
Since my husband got his new ibook he's had a lot of trouble with
syncing his palm to the computer; scrambling addresses, duplicating etc.
He corrected the addresses on the palm; deleted them on his ibook.
When he tried to sync a message comes up saying more than 5% will
change which is fine; but then says adding 3, deleting 11 which is
rather alarming so he cancelled the sync.

How can he force the addresses from the Palm to be added to the
Addressbook? I can't seem to find the setting.

I cannot get my G3 running 10.2.8 to work with iSync. I enter my

know to be correct as it works on the laptop and get the same answer.
Can anyone make any helpful suggestions.

isync 1.5 out - and works with z1010 three phone

2004-08-11 Thread choy
I'm sure someone has already posted about isync 1.5 being out, but the
interesting bit is that it supports the Sony Ericsson z1010 - a 3g

Finally, Three users have a phone they can sync with their mac!

'3' network phones and iSync

2004-06-25 Thread Brett Carboni
Anyone out there using one of the new video phones on 3's network that has
been able to run iSync.

The deals are pretty good but have to have iSync to back up names and dates
like I'm doing with the P800 (which works OK - at least for me. Would be
nice if Isync supported more than one calendar instead of combining all the
events into one calendar).

They say Motorola A925 (which runs Symbian) not supported, but then again
they've not even heard of OSX from what I see.

Hi
I am trying to sync ical and address book between two computers and a
phone.
How do you get the two macs to use the same calendar and address book
files or update them automatically.

Searches tell me that you need a .mac acct or webdav server.
Has anyone figured out how to do it another way.

Before you install iSync 1.4, you must install iCal 1.5.1 or later. To
download the latest version of iCal, visit www.apple.com/ical.

Hi All

Im seeking to become better organised both in work and on my computer

in OSX can really make a difference for improving overall day to day
organisation? Im optimistic that it can. Has anyone a useful strategy
to learn how to use these great apps effectively together and has done
it?

I have used mail and the address book but have not tried ical or isync

iSync 1.2.1 only shows up once iCal 1.5.1 is installed. Running Software
Update again should find it.

I like the new option to Show time in month view, sort of like what
Entourage did... I wanted that. The info panel is an improvement on the
old inspector, though not by much.

And it even supports non-US dates now -- I seem to remember version 1
didn't, but it won't launch now I've updated -- a big feature for us
Aussies, and for lil ol me using ISO date notation. (ISO 8601 specifies
dates like -MM-DD, which isn't widespread outside of China and
computing.)

And now to see if iSync still works... :)

I found they all worked for me, and didn't even change anything! ;o) Well
touch wood! ;o) All the information that was there before is still there
now, and like you say some of the improvements seem quite good. I didn't
notice a great deal of change in iSync par a few things, but I'm not sure if
that's the new iSync or because I just upgraded to a T610 at the same time.
Now to just set up MMS and GPRS properly. (See Matt I got it right that
time) :o)

All round not too bad updates I do say,...I guess they had to get it right
after 10.2.8,..that's probably why they held them back a while. ;o)

Enjoy!

I had the same problem... But solved it by going to the 'Reset All
Devices' within iSync and forcing our Palm (IIIx) information to be
replaced with the iCal and Address information from the Mac... I did
this with the iPod as well... and so far it has worked...

This of course will only work if all of the information you want is on
the Mac to start with. After the first reset it should sync
information between the two...

I must confess I am still having problems with using iSync to then sync
my iPod to the Powerbook... When I try this the iPod's calendar
information is wiped clean... and the powerbook's information remains
untouched. I am still experimenting with this problem Perhaps
someone may have some ideas.. I don't seem to be able to use the 'Reset
All Devices' to force the Powerbook to be overwritten by the iPod as I
am not given this as an option. The only option given in my list of
devices is that the Powerbook replace information on the iPod...

One of the reasons I switched from PC to mac was to avoid the contant
 race
with software changes but 10;;10.1.2;,, 10.1.3 and a lack of reliable
 software!!

I think from memory that the new iSync software requires 10.2.3 (not
10.1.x) to function as well as current iCal and Address prgrams... (I
could be wrong with this)...

Currently you can't choose a particular group of contacts to sync with .mac.
(you can with other devices)

I am syncing 3 computers and so far it has done quite well in maintaining the
integrity of the data (no duplicates!)

Note it is still in beta stage, so hopefully there will be some more added
features and faster syncing when the full version is released.

Hi all. FYI I have had some trouble with I sync which was resolved by
simply deleting my .Mac details in 'Preferencesinternet.Mac and

Hi all, has anyone got Isync working between two networked Macs? I am
aware you have to have .Mac membership and that you have to have your
.Mac Member name and password in 'System PreferencesInternet'. I
thought my problem was that I had not registered for Isync and Ical as
it suggests you do in 'Icalregister Ical' and the same for Isync. I
tried that and got dumped into a product register which was no help at
all. I then contacted the helpful people at Apple Mt Hawthorn and
they suggested the apple help line which I tried :-( I was told, very
curtly, that they did not need registering. When I tried to politely

does not need registering.

Apple site about it. There is a link here to a discussion forum where you
are likely to encounter people trying to do the same thing.

It's on my list of things to try soon:)

Actually as some of you are probably aware you can set up your own ical
server with an internet visible computer running Linux Apache save
yourself the .Mac membership. There is a pretty good description of how to
do it here.

We already have a Mactherapy calendar running so I will probably try the
