It was Kompakt 009, Reinhard Voigt - 'Robson ponte'
It was on that Richie Hawtin mix I keep going on about. There's a distorted
vocal sample that keeps repeating Robson Ponte - me and my friends have
been trying to figure out what it says for months!!

the confusion might be because the vocal and the instrumental are
actually two completely different tracks. the comp probably had the

i would have to agree. those records are slammin'! they kind of put me in a
funk becasue most of them are readily available at dubplate pressure which is
down the street form my place so i spend what little money i have on those
records, than buying other records. oh well, that is how it goes.
'can you party' was the tod terry track that sampled 'can you feel' by larry
heard. there is a vocal and a instrumental version (not on the same disk) both
have been re-released by trax recently
there is also an accapella, a recent release that has it is kikoman 'open ya
mind' on deepfried.
The Can you feel it sample is the Jacksons off a live album from '78 I
think. Its the intro to their song 'Can U Feel it' Which has an amazing
intro and video, the Jackson about 300ft high sprinkling 'magic powder' on

The John Acquaviva Skills Mix CD is available as unmixed vinyl. It's not
