I am completely suspicious of this United Devices outfit. They have
a very spiffy and well-laid-out web site that manages to disclose
exactly nothing about the work they are doing, the revenue from which

Hi Fred,
I have no personal or professional ties with United-Devices, but I do
know that the commercial projects are opt-in only, meaning that you
decide which projects you will or won't work on, and their client does
give you a graphical representation of the work that's going on. Of
course,
in my set of techno toptrumps (came free with the dj hell X-mix
album) it claims that Acquaviva has 40,000 records in his
collection. Can this be true? I don't think I own 40,000 things,
let alone tunes.
it's true.
I read somewhere recently that it was 50,000.

I went to the boat party last night and was disappointed with Richie Hawtin.
I hadn't heard him dj in a few years and I felt that what he was playing
last night really bored me. There seemed to be little variation in the music;
it almost sounded as if he was playing the same record all night -

I was actually pretty impressed with Mouse on Mars at their Magic Stick
gig. Very confident and well-organized with excellent set dynamics.
They made lots of interesting noises and never fell into a rut.
