I'm gonna check out Terrence Parker at the Cal Academy of Sciences
tonight in San Francisco if anybody wants to meet up. I think he's
playing from 7:30 to 9:00 so you won't have to break your curfew.
Hot damn. I love TP. What an odd gig for him to have. I wonder if
there's any after party or proper dance/club event after with him?
Anyone know?

The promoters have a party on Saturday but he's not listed on the
lineup for that. I know they've had him come play in the past. Maybe
he's just swinging through town? dunno. Bispo might know more.

You know, I saw Jamie Foxx and sample in this thread, and I remembered
there is another TP track with a prominent J Foxx vocal bit. I think it's

What Dave said. There's just as much awful Gospel House as there is awful
records in any genre, but having seen TP recently, he has a knack for picking
the gems.
As for 'demonizing' someone's lifestyle, I sure don't remember TP ever doing
that. TP's professional and spiritual evolution have

I just have to say that I may have witnessed one of TP's best sets tonight.
He started out with Drexciya in honor of James Stinson, whose memorial
today TP missed in order to visit us here. He played Planet Rock, and Clear,
before getting into some deep old house tracks -- you know the stuff with
this is such a loss to the 313 community. I hope I get

in his new pursuits.

Check out his Ginger LP (on R S I think, or was it Warp?) from a few years
back. Fantastic, luscious, deep techno.
