The use of the beach was not free for Sand Blast. The city charges a fee
for the use of the area and depending on the number of guests the fee gets
increased. The participants also have to buy a beach badge if they want to
use the beach beyond the party. Weddings have to pay a fee, and so do

No beach in Asbury Park is exclusively gay. At one point in our citys
rebirth the 5th Avenue beach by Convention Hall was predominately gay. Over the

Hey if places like Coney Island and Brazil where thousands of people walk
and hundreds of people ride bikes can do it so can Asbury Park.
Yes, they can designate a bike lane and enforce a speed limit on it. While I
did see people on bikes this weekend, a lot of them were respecting others
To me, whatever success we have in Asbury Park . . . won't be truly
successful unless the school system in Asbury Park is working better, he said.
That needs to be addressed. . . . Those of us involved need to offer support
to
the school system.

The lights on Convention Hall have been on in the past. They were on about 5
years ago during the summer all of them. I also remember when they were on
all the time in the summer growing up as a kid. During the boat shows back in

The total number of students in the Asbury Park School District is 2,354. In
the 02 and 03 school year we had 2,984. That said, I welcome the State of New
Jersey to come in and take a good hard look at our district. The tax payers

Swimmers rescued by city firefighters
