No he's not using Touch.
He is using M2Tech Evo USB to SPDIF converter.
I'm using Touch with my Naim DAC.
Anyway, we also tested 840c in my system and I know how it sounds.

consensus seems to be that, most of you are doubtful that upgrading the

A friend of mine went from 840C to Naim DAC.
He felt that it was a significant upgrade.
Actually, we both upgraded our digital setups to nDACs at the same
time.

I imagine the Klimax owners will sell their 'spare' Klimax through ebay
or the normal channels. The upgrade isn't out yet, so that's why you
won't have seen any.
imo buy a Transporter to use as a transport to another DAC is misguided

Dear all, my current system:
Dedicated Win7 server, 2tb quiet hdds, sdd for os and server
Touch - soundcheck's mods applied, ethernet to server
Cambridge 840c - as dac, toslink to touch

I m thinking to upgrade the source,
A Linn Akurate or Majik seems to me the most logical way to go -
checkout the Linn Forum - they have announced an upgrade to the Klimax

some owners are planning to sell on for quite modest (ie less than
Akurate DS) prices.
