I fixed the problem with prefs not loading, the prefs save function was
double-encoding some UTF-8 chars, for me it was caused by the name of
my iPhone via iPeng: Andy\x{2019}s iPhone aka Andys iPhone

For some reason the initial screen (mysqueezebox.com user name and
password required!) is called and a full setup is needed - full rescan

that I I've got a umber of images but I can't use LMS for music at all

serves with a DLNA client, like PlugPlayer, on your iPad.
With PlugPlayer, you should also see the DLNA server on your VortexBox

Just tried LMS 7.7 nightly 33472.
Works fine with Squeezeboxes but I tried the upnp support with my
Samsung series C TV and PS3.
I have been running minidlna so far so will compare against it.
1)Every other time I start my devices, LMS will not show and the only
fix is to restart LMS at my PC.
Since this is considered a RC and the target date of the official
release is oct-3, perhaps it is possible to share the new features in

In one of the Logitech forum it says DLNA is one of the new things.

Just configured my pictures folder as media folder and do realize that
it takes an awfull long time compared to my music library.

I have tried using XBMC as a frontend and it finds LMS but it doesn't
