Yes :) a German speaking person would find large chunks of any nordic
language (dk,no,se,icelandic) vaguely familiar and the oposite is also
true .
In text it is easier, spoken language differ much more.
with google and a lexicon at hand I can struggle trough some german

The latest 7.7.1 nightlies no longer crash FreeNAS / SlimNAS upon
re-scanning. I know you probably still haven't changed any code but
thought I'd let you know! Something wasn't playing nicely in RC6 but it
seems OK again now.

I must uninstall all Erlands plugins , curiously enough they did
protect against segfaults, but maybe not anymore since he fixed them to
work better with LMS7.7 (all issues regarding bug 17639 is gone for his
plugins they probably remain for MIP and iTunes ).

dirs just for adding a picture dir :-/ that contains nothing yet and
the same will happen when I add a video dir :-/ this is nuts, aargh

Just to update on my situation. I deleted prefs and cache, switched to
safe mode and it scanned. Now with all my plugs in back it still scans.
Fixed (although a bit worrying if people need to delete prefs to get
this to work, I'm still tyring to get my setup back to where it was)

Can someone reopen bug 17639 against LMS7.7 .
The issues is not limited to third party plugins iTunes and MusicIP
seems be involved to if one uses them.
Or any plugin that registers an importer.
The issue is probably related to if there is any plugin that calls:

To avoid possible segfaults when using the linux rpm version of LMS7.7
Don't run it as a dlna/upnp media server use it for music and
squeezeboxes only.
In basic settings:
remove any paths to a video or picture folder, select only music for
the music folder(s)
In plugin settings unpick
I believe this initial LMS release is going to be rushed out the door to
coincide with the release of Honeycomb 3.1 and the Android Market for
Google TV (Logitech's Revue). I might be wrong, but I think Logitech's
Revue user base is a lot more significant than the SB user base. I also

One of the features I love when using Squeezebox Server is the ability
to scrobble played tracks to Last.fm. This doesn't seem to happen
when using UPnP access, which I can understand. For me, it would be a
great feature to enable, if possible, so that all devices on my network
can scrobble
I've been playing MP3 and AAC files out through a Roku Soundbridge with
no issue this morning, but when I try to play a FLAC file it crashes
LMS after about 30 to 60 seconds of playback. I need to try it with
other tracks, but it seems repeatable on the one I've tried several
times.

I try to acccess the LMS. It just sees it as an DNLA server, but after
that - nothing just an error.
At least it should be able to show jpgs and play MP3's
And the blueray player doesn't have

I installed RC6 again and re-scanned. LMS crashed a few minutes in and I
had to restart (by reinstalling) during the scan process. The scanner
was still running and it got a little further before hanging. Here is
the server log before I abort the scan and roll back to RC5:
