Found the answer. I created a b atch file on the destop called shutdown.bat. That contains the single line: shutdown.exe -s. shutdown.exe is a windows command line function to shut down a computer in Windows XP. So I just used the Task Scheduler to set the machine to run shutdown.bat

Basically Bluetooth and 802.11x are completely different beasts. You can't make them directly work together. What you will need to do, as you suspected, is either get a 802.11b card for the iPaq or get a Bluetooth access point. Either will work and what you choose depends on your needs. 802.11x
